The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa and Joe, Somethings Gotta Give

This episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey showcases the alarming behavior of Teresa and Joe Giudice. The first time we see Teresa is at Jacqueline’s house wearing a purple, full length, fake fur coat. Now, come on, I don’t care how flashy you’re trying to be this is definitely a Glamour DON’T; unless of course, you're Katy Perry.

We next see Teresa buying groceries with Milania and Audriana all dolled up and I gotta give Tee credit. When I took my kids to the grocery store I was happy if they had matching shoes on. Just saying… As soon as Teresa enters the store she starts telling us she only cooks healthy with NOT a lot of “ingredientses” However, looking at her cart in the frozen food isle and Milania demanding a “Kids Cuisine” it’s clear they eat like the rest of us. Teresa then decides to call her brother and invite him to her “Skinny Italian” book signing, why she chose to do this with 2 babies in a store is beyond me. As she’s talking to Joe Gorga Milania climbs into the refrigerated case, crushes the fresh prepared salads and not until Teresa is done talking to does she go help her while praising this child for her “good behavior”. I don’t get it… I would have been humiliated and my child would be in the car with a sore little bottom.

After Joe Gorga accepts his sisters’ invitation he starts to receive threating text messages from Joe Giudice. He tells Melissa about the threatening texts from his brother in-law. Telling Melissa that Joe Giudice is threatening to break his jaw then wire it shut, calling Joey and his wife fake and saying they’re only attending this book signing for “show”. Melissa adds that while her husband works very hard from sun up to sun down, Joe Giudice calls the working man a sucker. Does Joe Giudice have any redeeming qualities?

The night of the book signing Joe and Melissa show up late but it was probably for the best. When they get there Teresa is happy and introduces them to the owner. Joe then buys 10 copies of “Skinny Italian” and asked his sister to inscribe one for him. This was a very awkward moment but the most “REAL” moment this season in my opinion. She stumbles for the right words and Joe says "From your heart, let's go," Joe then makes her read it out loud as Teresa starts to cry. Joe gives her a quick hug, but not what Teresa was expecting and Joe tells her why he’s upset. He doesn't appreciate getting threatening texts from her husband and she responds saying her husband is upset too. But it was just Teresa making more excuses she just doesn’t GET IT!

Teresa returns home to her very drunk husband and a houseful of guests. Joe Giudice was loud, he was obnoxious, and an embarrassment to his children. When Joe chips his tooth doing drunken summersaults Gia freaks out. And what does Teresa do? She downplays the whole thing explaining when Joe drinks things get out of control. But next at the table Teresa confronts her husband about the texts and Joe goes into a tirade about the Gorga’s. It’s just escalated from there and after Teresa tries defending her brother he tells her to “SHUT UP”. Joe goes further humiliating Teresa by telling everyone he dumped Teresa before they were married due to her brothers’ friendship with one of Teresa’s ex-boyfriends. Joe than adds Teresa begged him to take her back.

Everyone is guilty of stirring the pot and causing this dysfunction, shame on each of them. But I now believe Joe Giudice is the root cause of the bad blood. He is emotionally abusive (and I pray not physical) man who will destroy his family before he takes responsibility for his actions. Anyone who grew up in a home fueled by drugs and alcohol knows what this is doing to their daughters. I feel bad for Teresa but as long as she chooses her husband over EVERYTHING else she accepts some of the responsibility for this situation.

Mob Wives: Gym Rats

Before I get on my blog grind, I want to give a shout out to Barb!  Barb is one of our readers who enjoys my foolishness.

I've been dropping the medicine ball around here as of late.  Chiara has sh!t to take care of; Underboss has a stressful career; Isabella is missing in blog action; and Harley is probably on a back of a Hog with her blond tresses blowing in the wind.  I love the blog.  I love most of our readers.  There is one or two of you who'd I'd love to knock on my door.  I have a special gift for you.  Moving along, The Mob Wives Blogspot isn't going to get me my Mahina XL bag.  So, I've been working up a storm to make it happen by the end of this year.

Apparently Renee Graziano of Mob Wives is a lot less superficial than I.  She isn't worried about scoring her dream bag.  She's hitting a bag in the gym, I hear Junior is giving her boxing lessons.  Can you imagine that lady with that mouth and a mean right hook?!  What a minute is Junior getting his ex-wife all delicious and toned up for mystery man?   *scratching head*  Oh these folks confuse the hell out of me!

One has to wonder if Carla Facciolo's skinny salad eating @ss is rubbing off on these ladies.  She is the original gym rat of the Mob Wives.  I ain't mad @ Carla!  As I've written time & time again,  she looks darn good for her age.

If the Mob Wives all get toned and in shape, the show's title may have to be renamed Staten Island Sticks.  I was going to do a Zumba workout before I put in on my husband.  However, reading the gym tweets tired me out.  So instead I am going to put myself to sleep eating a bag of Lay's potato chips as I listen to 'Eye of the Tiger'.

Oh yeah before I slip in to a Lay's induced coma there is a new poll up!  Please vote on how many new faces you'd like to see season 2 of Mob Wives.  As always it's a quick scroll up and to your right, thank you!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Joe G. Threatens Joe G.

Joe Gorga reading brotherly texts from his brother in law Joe Guidice.
Sunday Sunday Sunday….Joe “The Gorgeous” Gorga vs. Joe “The Napolean” Giudice continues....

After this weekend I’m ready for some reality drama not real drama.  Tonight on The Real Housewives of New Jersey the men get into the mix.  Guess who throws the first stone?  None other than Joe Giudice. After the Gorga’s are officially invited to Teresa’s next book signing Joe Gorga gets a text from Joe Giudice that reads, “So nice of you and your fake wife to support your sister tonight for the first time. Yous are so fake it makes me ill… I’ll break your jaw. I’ll wire it shut.” Going as far as calling Joe Gorga a retard. A term I find very offensive. Check out the clip below.

Joe Giudice needs to play in the big boy’s playground at East Jersey State, don’t you agree? Watch Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey Sunday at 10/9c

Mob Wives: Did He or Di-ent He?

There go those hands again!
We'd really like to thank our readers for voting in our polls.  We know what we think about things.  However, we aren't the only ones who watched season 1 of Mob Wives are we?  So your voices matter too!  Chiara and I believe Renee (Graziano) and Karen (Gravano) when it comes to Carla Facciolo's (season 1) boyfriend hands running amok on others' body parts.  Underboss doesn't care either way.  However, he's made it clear he wouldn't mind touching Karen with her green lighting it of course.  Isabella and Harley well I just don't know who they believe.

We asked our readers: Who do you think is telling the truth about Carla Facciolo's season 1 boyfriend touching scandal!  And boy oh boy you sure did answer!

7% Carla is telling the truth!  Renee & Karen wish he had groped them!

92% Renee & Karen are telling the truth.  Renee swore on her son's eyes!  Karen has no reason to lie on the man!

Most of you believe Renee & Karen by a landslide.  Only those groped truly know the deal, per Drita maybe he drunk too much and doesn't remember.  With the earthquake and hurricane Irene shaking things up, it's been very, very, very quiet around here.  I thought I saw a pussy cat.  I di-ent! I di-ent!  It was just my wig.  If you are in the area I hope you've stocked up on C & D batteries, water and non-perishable food.  We'll see you around when Mother Nature stops throwing a tantrum.  I knew I wasn't the only one throwing a fit because Mob Wives is off air.

Mob Wives: Hurricane Irene Threatens Wives!

Hurricane Irene Expected to Hit NE Sunday

Hurricane Irene is on it’s way to the northeast. New York (Staten Island) and New jersey are preparing for emergency conditions already. Evacuations may be necessary or have started in some places. Serious flooding is anticipated all over. People are being told to prepare their houses and to buy emergency supplies and food and water for 5 days. But, you didn’t come here for a weather report, right? Except for the fact that all our precious mob wives and real housewives are at risk. What are they all doing about it?

Drita D’Avanzo: Had to change her plans, she was supposed to appear at “Suite” in North Carolina tonight but it’s postponed due to the weather. Drita says, “change of dates due to the hurricane/traveling not the best idea:(( new dates are soon though.” AND “Im rolln wit a new crew...there gonna help me put my backyard furniture away..these suckas owe me" (speaking of the raccoons! LOL)

Ramona Singer:  "Beautiful morning in the city. Suppose its the calm before the storm. Use today to prepare for the weekend everyone!”

Alex McCord: "The chums are off to the park while the sun is still shining, meanwhile Simon & I are bringing window boxes, toys & chairs inside.”

Caroline Manzo: "don't worry - I think you'll have company we have a generator that = lights, water, etc.”

Jill Zarin: "Beautiful day. Would never know storm coming. Tennis this afternoon then cooking lesson. Will share recipes in next newsletter.”

Dina Manzo: "we're inland...we should all be fine! Xo”

Teresa Guidice: "Everyone on the East Coast: promise me you'll stay safe during Hurricane Irene. Praying it's not bad... Xx”

Countess LuAnn: “We are hunkering down in the Hamptons. All my weekend guests canceled their trip. Have been through these storms before so just am preparing with food and water—then we are all set light the candles and catch up on reading, play scrabble , cook and weather out the storm!”

Who is your favorite reality wife?  Check their tweets and keep tabs on how they are doing through this weekend's storm.  We here at mobwives.blogspot.com hope all the wives and their families will be safe.
Karen Gravano: “I’m doing absolutely nothing. I got some peanut butter and hoping that the storm doesn’t come crashing through my windows. I took in stuff from the balcony. I don’t think it’s really hitting me. I think since I survived Mob Wives season one, I can definitely survive a hurricane.”

Carla Facciolo: "Preparing my house for this dam storm all day!”

Mob Wives: Drita’s Australian Chat!

The Mob wives begin airing in Australia on August 31st at 8:30 PM and they are very excited about being able to watch the series. So much so that Nat and Shaun contacted Drita to interview her for their radio show (link below).

They seem very fascinated that Drita is very beautiful outside and yet is so tough. She laughs and tells them she was always a tomboy. She also describes how she grew up in a strict, traditional home before becoming involved with gangsters, who she says she found intriguing. She grew up training and working out and she never had fear. And how she fights, she boxes. Pulling hair may be good for breaking up a fight but it really doesn’t cause any injuries. And Drita says she doesn’t want to fight any more because she is a mother and needs to set a good example. She explains how upset her father was with her decision to marry Lee. She gave up a lot of good opportunities. She says her father was right. She explains how upset she was the second time Lee was sent to prison and how angry she was over it.

They ask her if she knew he was a bank burglar. She says are you kidding me? When you go out on a date, do you tell the person the worst things you’ve ever done? And she adds, a criminal does not talk about his crimes. She says they were married a short time, she went to court with him, heard a list of his crimes, got dizzy and threw up. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

She says the show gives you an idea of the pain the children go through when their fathers are in jail and how it affects the whole family. It’s not glamorous and kids should think about that before choosing this lifestyle. And she has no sympathy for Lee. He went to jail the first time and she supported him and visited him, but the second time no. He didn’t learn from his mistakes, he doesn’t deserve he support. She is at a crossroad right now. She had to give up a great job that she built up when he went back the second time.

Great Interview!  They love her in Australia!

The Real Housewives of NJ: A Reality Stars “REALITY”

Very little time was devoted to the Giudice’s last week except for the opening where a photography crew was taking shots for her latest cookbook “Fabulicious”. The scene was chaotic to say the least and the girls were in no mood for another staged family moment. What was interesting was Teresa’s interview where she says they're putting their bankruptcy behind them and moving on with their lives. "This year is going to be amazing," she says.

This week we follow Joe and Teresa to their lawyer’s office to hear the Judge’s ruling regarding the $260,000 lawsuit filed by Joseph Mastropole, Joe Giudice’s ex-partner. U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Morris Stern sided with Joseph Mastropole, saying that the $260,000 debt should be accepted from the Giudice’s' bankruptcy due to fraud and willful and malicious injury to property. U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Morris Stern’s letter of opinion can be read
HERE.

According to Teresa they’re in this predicament because Joe told the truth about forging his ex-partner’s signature on a loan. Saying "Wow, you just can't trust anyone anymore," adding "It's pretty sad." "So in other words, never tell the truth," Joe says. "See," Teresa tell us. "You got to lie!" Then Teresa starts babbling about her Jewish friends who told her they would have divorced Joe in a second.

TERESA, STOP IT!  Yes I am blog yelling. Someone could be facing jail time because of this mess! Teresa is old school when it comes to marriage and defending her husband.  I get that! One has to wonder how long she continue this charade of everything is alright.
Joe is looking at as much as 10 years after his arrest in March 2011 for fraudulently obtaining a state driver's license. Giudice's license was suspended last year following a conviction for drunk driving, which landed him in jail for 10 days in September 2010 after it was discovered he was driving at that time on a suspended license.

Teresa explains her comments during her meeting with the lawyer on her blog at BravoTV.com but it’s just more rambling from someone not in touch with reality.

Teresa and Joe were originally due to appear in court to face allegations of bankruptcy fraud on July 14, 2011, but the proceedings have been postponed.

It’s hard to see the forest thru the trees…
The Giudice’s are on borrowed time and it’s hard watching someone who is in this much denial. I almost feel bad for them. But then it’s clear as day they’ve created their own demise, not only that but to act so judgment while forgetting their own morals. I say it all the time, Karma is REAL and no matter how much they deserve their fate, it’s never enjoyable to watch. Let me know what you think, and how you would handle it differently.

I Married A Mobster: Recap Angela Calvacante “No Way Out”

“No Way Out” is the story of Angela Calvacante who was born into a world of violence in 1963. Her family lived in Howard Beach, Queens, in NYC and the neighborhood was heavily populated by mobsters. She came from a working class family and her father was very controlling, yet she was never told to stay away from anyone. John Gotti, boss of the Gambino crime family, was a celebrity in the neighborhood and mobsters were role models they looked up to. Growing up with these people taught Angela to be tough. Her brother Joey joined the Gambinos and did time in prison. Her sister dated John Gotti Jr.

Angela hung out with bad boys, but decides to move to Maspeth, Queens to get away from the mob influences. She was looking for a better life, but even in Maspeth she was attracted to bad boys, like Sal Bonina, the son of Nick Bonina. Sal drove a Cadillac, he was flashy, reckless and he carried a gun. Her head tells her to run, but her heart makes her stay. She just couldn’t say no to him. She meets Sal’s father, Nick, at a mafia restaurant. She says the waiter was petrified as he served the table, as though if he made a mistake he would be shot on the spot. Nick Bonina was an important member of the Lucchese crime family.

Nick is a powerful guy and Angela soon learns that Maspeth is no better than Howard Beach. Nick pressures Sal to join the family business. Angela decided to back away and not date him any more. But Sal isn’t going along with that. He stalks her, he asks everyone at the body shop where she is, and when they say they don’t know, he shoots up the place. Everyone blames Angela because her boyfriend did all this damage. Against her better judgment, Angela goes out with Sal again.

There was an attraction for Angela, but it came with a price tag. No one would talk to her any more or protect her, they were afraid of Sal. One year later she was pregnant and Sal wants to get married. He gives her a taste of the good life, he buys her a nice car. She thought it was great. She doesn’t ask where he gets his money. He is supposed to be working, but he never leaves the house to go to a job. Sal has a bad temper. He starts drinking. One day he beats her and nearly severs her toe. At the hospital they sew her up without anesthesia because she was four months pregnant.

Angela doesn’t want this life, she doesn’t want to marry Sal. Her mother begs her to marry him. She tells Angela that she has no education and no money, how else will she be able to raise her child. She tells her Sal loves her and he is sorry, marry him. So under all the pressure, Angela marries Sal. A huge wedding was planned by Sal’s family, Angela had no say in it at all. They took over.

The wedding was held in 1982, and according to Italian tradition, everyone brings an envelope for the couple. Angela says she felt like a princess. She opens one of the envelopes and inside was $10,000! She thought she was rich. But her father in-law came along and took all the envelopes from her. He told her that money belonged to him.

Angela grew up with the Gambinos, but married into the Lucchese crime family. It was like she defected. The Gambinos would have nothing to do with her now. She had a baby boy, she had to stay with the other mob wives, there was no life outside the crime family.

Angela was trapped in an abusive marriage with no way out. Three months into the marriage, Sal had to step up in the crime family. He wasn’t really cut out for it. One night Angela gets out of bed to find Sal in the kitchen snorting cocaine. She tells him he doesn’t need that stuff. He puts a gun to her head and tells her to go back upstairs. Angela says she came close to death many times. She couldn’t take it and she couldn’t leave because she knew too much. No one would help her or take her in. She accepts the reality of the situation and thinks she just may have to die in this life, she has no choice.

In 1984 she gets a call from the FBI telling her to get out. They were coming down on the family for drugs. The family, specifically Nick, tests Sal’s loyalty. They tell him to take the wrap for Nick. Sal chickens out and Nick goes to jail.

In 1985 Angela files for divorce. She escapes the marriage but it forced to fend for herself and her son. She works and gets welfare, but it’s a struggle. She asks her in-laws for help for their grandson, but they blow him off even though he is the only grandchild carrying the family name. Sal becomes a drunk, a bum on the street. In 1987 he ends up dying in his sleep from a brain aneurism.

Angela’s wish is that she could forget everything that ever happen to her in that life. She feels that would be the only way for her to have a normal life now, but she can’t.

Off Topic: For Chiara

Martina McBride in her touching video
We disagree on the mother with terminal cancer custody battle.  However, it doesn't mean I don't empathize or understand the deafening blow cancer delivers.  And I know besides Mob Wives, you love you some country music.  So here's Martina McBride's video.  We are more than bloggers we are BFFs (Blogging Friends Forever) *giggling*

As your friend, I'll love you through it.

Mob Wives: Spoken Like a True Rose

Renee's over the top personality has Mob Wives' fan spelling roses.
Anyone who knows me, knows I love to write.  They also know I love words.  The dictionary is my friend.  So no one should be surprised when I share how much I love the roses of Speaking Roses and More!  I don't get out much.  So words on roses is totally new to me.

Roses symbolize love and beauty.  So no one should be surprise when Barbara Ford sent Renee Graziano a gorgeous bouquet of her lovely roses.  I wanted to take a minute or two of Barbara's time to find out about her and her business.

Hello.
Hello Speaking Roses and More, how may I help you?

Hi, I am a blogger.  I'd like to know who I can talk to about the roses Renee Graziano of Mob Wives posted on Twitter.
That would be me!

Oh great, do you have some time to talk to me?
Sure, I'd love to!

We are hoping Barbara's phone is ringing with rose orders.
Thank you!  How long have you been operating your business?
About 8 months, I learned about technique a little over a year ago online.  I talked it over with my husband and decided to take the course.

So you are a business women, I like that!
I am a stay at home mom too!

Busy lady!  So I noticed your roses due to my addiction to anything Mob Wives.  Do you watch Mob Wives?
OMG!  Absolutely, I am having withdrawals.

We both laugh.  Me too!  Who's your favorite Mob Wife?
Of course Renee, I can relate to her.  She can put people in their place with her words.

Who else do you like?
I like Drita.  She says what she feels.  I am an original New Yorker.

What's your favorite scene season 1 of Mob Wives?
There are so many oh my goodness!  When Renee & Karen are at the bar and the guy comes on to one of them.  I love it when Renee says, "Don't......"  That's the best, you know she means business.

Thank you so much for your time!
You're welcome.

One last question, why should someone order your Spoken Roses?
They're unique & special.  It's an opportunity to express your feelings towards someone in a different way.

I love the look of Barbara Ford's roses.  I think it's flat out nifty to impose a word and/or image on a rose.  If I received a dozen of her roses I'd feel very special, unless they read, "I want a divorce."  Then well I'd be boiling mad.  And Chiara or Harley would be announcing Mob Mistress will be featured on an episode of Snapped airing soon.  To order Barbara's roses give her a call @ (386) 547-3793 and click here to see some of her rosey options.  The divorce roses tickle me to no end.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Matt Holme's Bad Example

John Madison Holmes, Ashley Holmes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey's father.
I came across an article online which stated John Madison Holmes a.k.a. Matt Holmes and his wife Jodi were arrested back in June for allegedly arson and money laundering. The article is fromWeatherford Democrat click here to read it for yourself.

Jodi Sue Holmes looks cute in stripes.
Last week Jacqueline and Chris Laurita, along with Matt and his wife Jodi Holmes presented an united front during the where is your life going intervention of their 20 year old daughter Ashley Holmes. Ashley’s out of control behavior has been the storylines of The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 3. Jacqueline and Chris have tried very hard to address this situation with dignity and help their daughter make better choices.  After the recent arrests the aspect of Matt Holmes being a good influence on Ashley is questionable.  Matt was shown to be a loving and devoted father. Since the tapping of the show Ashley allegedly went to live with her father in Texas and residing there when Matt and Jodi were arrested.

The Real Houswives of New Jersey: A Mother's Fight to Save Her Daughter

Last Sunday’s episode of Bravo’s THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY focused on Jacqueline & Christopher Laurita and the attempted intervention of their 20 year old daughter Ashley Holmes. Also joining them in the intervention is Ashley’s biological father Matt Holmes and his wife Jodi, who flew in from Texas. The Laurita’s invited Ashley’s father and step-mother hoping a “United Front” would have a positive effect on Ashley. It’s refreshing to see divorced parents come together in support of their daughter.
It's the day of the intervention, which can been seen on Bravo's website by clicking Keep It In The Family - Bravo TV Official Site Bravo TV Official Site#selected">HERE

Both sets of parents are waiting for Ashley at a restaurant in NYC. Jacqueline and Chris Laurita are chatting with Matt and his wife Jodi about Ashley's plans to move to California. Ashley finally arrives, Jacqueline starts with her concerns and Ashley lays out her plans for all four of her parents; she is going to move to California and go to beauty school. Chris once again tries to explain the concept of money to Ashley. Matt agrees: "Set some obtainable goals. You gotta want it. It's gonna take work. It's not going to be easy. Nobody's going to give it to you." But Ashley thinks everyone is ganging up on her and eventually looks at Jacqueline and says, “I’m twenty and I don’t have a baby.” The disrespect that Ashley has shown her mother has been awful, but this sentence was cruel. Jacqueline hits her limit and says what ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ fans have been thinking for two tears: “Honestly, she’s the most disrespectful brat I have ever seen in my life. You don’t appreciate a God damn thing anyone does for you!” This was the most “Reality” I’ve seen in “Reality TV” I remember seeing, and It was not entertaining or easy to watch. It was heart breaking.

This Sunday on RHNJ the already strained relationship has Jacqueline to her breaking point and Ashley even more obnoxious towards her Mother. Ashley joins her parents in the kitchen and the tension is immediate. She again tells them that her plans are to go California, go to school and get a job. She’s thinking of leaving in the spring. "Ashley is clearly not happy living with us,” says a frustrated and exhausted Jacqueline. “It's hard because I have two little boys and I don’t want them growing up seeing this dysfunction.” It annoys Ashley that this whole thing was originally her mom’s idea, which Jacqueline completely denies. Her idea was for Ashley to go to school at home and get a job. “You're such a bitch," says Ashley, and things blow up from there.

As I look at the photo, posted on

As I look at the photo, posted on Ashley's Blog from August 7th I’m shocked. Jacqueline and Chris may have over-indulged and spoiled Ashley to a fault but they only had Ashley’s best interest at heart.

I’ve already stated my old school approach to raising kids. My Motto Accountability leads to Responsibility but that’s not a guarantee your children will grow up and be responsible adults. Ashley is on a slippery slope and most likely will have to hit bottom before realizing how her actions hurt the ones who love her most. Let me know what you think when you watch this clip? I really respect your opinions whether you agree with me or not. Informative, Intelligent, and thought provoking debates is what makes this blog so great.

Mob Wives: Mob Bust FBI Agent Talks

During the shooting of the series Mob Wives, in January 2011, the FBI arrested approximately 135 members of organized crime. It was the largest mob bust in FBI history. There were 800 FBI agents and employees involved, along with 130 law enforcement officers involved in this operation. Those arrested were processed at the Fort Hamilton Army base in Brooklyn, NY. One of the FBI agents involved, Supervisory Special Agent George Khouzami, was interviewed by New York Magazine regarding reality shows about mob wives.

Shows about mob wives seem to be a new trend in television. Mobsters and their activities have been depicted in movies, television, and books for decades. Now the focus is shifting to the women who are their wives, mistresses and daughters. They want to tell their stories and break the long standing code of silence the mafia was built on.  NY Magazine wanted to know how real are these shows and how does the mafia feel about them.

Agent Khouzami says that the mafia is not pleased with these shows and considers them disrespectful. As for the spouses, he believes that they know their husbands are in the mob and are aware of where the money comes for that pays for their luxuries, but they always deny knowing anything. The wives also know about the girlfriends and they tolerate the cheating because of all the money the mobster “earns.” He mentions Karen Gravano, saying that many people are still very angry with her father, Sammy, and that she is taking a risk by going on television and writing a book. He goes on to discuss the changes in the mob and their crimes that have occurred over the years. The mob is now more involved in stock crimes.

Overall, this was a very interesting interview and if you have time it is definitely worthwhile reading.

Mob Wives: Carla's Loves

Carla loves the beach!  She loves the sunshine, the water, and wearing those bikinis.  Her schedule is pretty hectic, with shooting season two of Mob Wives and the kids still being on summer vacation.  And yet she still makes it a point to get to the gym almost every morning.  I have to say all those workouts have really paid off!

But, today Carla shares a pictire of the real "loves of her life,"  her twins, Joseph and Carmen.  She took them to the beach today and the three of them look like they were all having a special moment and making a treasured memory!

I have to say I was very happy to see this picture of Carla and the kids have quality time together!  We don't get to see too much of that on the show.  With this photograph we get to see a little glimpse of her real life.

Mob Wives: Renee's New Body & Bling

Thank God for Twitter!  Every now and then the Mob Wives give us a glimpse of their lives and what is going on at the moment.  Yesterday, Renee tweeted this gorgeous picture of her new body!  She looks great only a month and a half after her surgery.  Renee tweets that she has also lost 24 pounds!  I am so impressed and proud of her!  She is also showing off her sexy new ankle bracelets from Rich Rocks.  Renee has mentioned Rich Rocks in her interview with Cherry Martinez, which we covered in a separate blog.  I love Renee's dress!  It looks stunning on her and the colors compliment her beautiful eyes.

A Bling close up!

We can't wait till season two, but thankfully Twitter gives us great little sneak previews!

Mob Wives: The Crossword!

Some of us like to play games, so I created a special crossword puzzle just for our site, on Mob Wives! It's not too hard, for die hard fans it should be a piece of cake.  I will post the answer key in the comments section below, but not before you give it a try!  Some of you may be tempted to peek otherwise. It may be easier if you print it out.

Let us know if you enjoy games.  If so I may create another one for Season 2!  Good Luck!

I Married A Mobster: Recap of Daddy’s Girl

“Daddy’s Girl” is the story of “Little” Linda Scarpa/Schiro, the daughter of Greg Scarpa and Linda Schiro. Linda was born in 1970. At that time, her father Greg, had two families, a legitimate one in Staten Island and one with Linda Schiro in Brooklyn.

Little Linda remembers that the family all got together for dinner, every night at 5 PM. That was a rule of the household. Family was very important to Greg, who was a mob enforcer for the Colombo crime family. Greg was, in fact, considered the most powerful guy in the crime family. He guarded his family and protected them and would think nothing of killing anyone who threatened them in any way.

Linda says she started to figure out who her father was in her mid-teens. His friends all dressed well. Linda relates how she and her brother were taken back and forth from school by a car service. One day Joey was sick and she went to school alone. The driver took her to Prospect Park and was going to rape her. He tore her shirt. Linda told him he didn’t have to do this, she would go with him after school later that day. So he dropped her off at school where Linda called her mother and told her what happened. Her mother picked up Linda from school. The next thing Linda knows, the driver was killed. She can only assume that he had no idea who her father was.

Linda says that mobsters came over to the house all the time. They would discuss mob business in front of Linda and Joey, but they didn’t want to hear about these things. She recalls how sometimes Greg’s friends would disappear and she figured out that they must have gotten killed. It was upsetting to her.

Linda has a Sweet 16 Party, but none of her friends show up. They are afraid of Greg. She says that Greg wanted her to be independent so he got her a job at the Stock Exchange. That didn’t work out too well, Linda did not want to start at the bottom and work her way up. She was too used to being a mob princess.

Linda liked to party and go to clubs. Greg wanted her to go to the clubs where his friends were, so they could keep an eye on her. Linda didn’t like that. When she left those clubs she would tell the valet that a particular car was hers, even though it wasn’t, and drive it home. Her father would see these cars in the driveway and told her she shouldn’t be doing that.

Linda had a hard time meeting people, everyone was afraid of Greg, so she couldn’t make real friends. But, in 1990 she married Freddie Assini and had a son. Greg couldn’t be prouder.

Then Greg contracts AIDS from a blood transfusion and becomes ill. At this time the Colombo family is falling apart. There is fighting amongst the family for control and power. They all know how powerful Greg is and want to get rid of him to make it easier for themselves. One day, Linda says, she was leaving the house the same time as her father and a van pulls up between them. The next thing she knows, a group of men, all dressed in black, with ski masks, jump out of the van and begin shooting at Greg’s car. Linda’s car in in the crossfire. She is terrified and her baby son is sitting right next to her. The assassins speed away and Linda runs back to her mother’s house screaming and believing that her father had been killed. Ten minutes later Greg walks through the door crying and swearing he would kill everyone involved in that shootout.

Greg is an irate maniac. He would drive around with his crew every night to track down those responsible and shoot them. The family never knew if he was going to some home at night. Linda realizes that her father is not invincible and neither are they. Even innocent family isn’t safe from the mob. She has nightmares and can’t get over the incident. She is afraid to do anything. All this while there is a Colombo civil war going on with members killing each other.

Joey gets himself into some trouble. Someone pulls a gun on him. Greg overhears him telling his mother about it. He goes wild and gets his gun. Sick as Greg is, he goes out looking for the guy. Linda hears gunshots and screaming a block and a half away. Five minutes later Greg comes through the door, he is bleeding, but doesn’t want Linda to touch him because he has AIDS. Linda runs out to look for her brother. She checks the car and he is not in it, but his friend is in the backseat, shot and in bad shape. She says this scarred her for the rest of her life, she never got over it.

Joey finally comes through the door in shock. He thought his father and friend were both dead and he felt responsible. Linda tells him they are both in the hospital. He tells her he was there when they got hit, but he blacked out. When he came to, he started to run. Joey’s friend died two days later. Greg was taken to jail where he died soon after.

The Scarpa curse doesn’t go away. It hangs over the head of Joey Scarpa, the heir apparent. After Greg dies, Little Linda picks up the pieces of her life, but Joey goes into the life himself. He rips off a drug dealer from another family. He has no protection on the street now that his father is dead. Joey is shot and killed. Linda goes to tell her mother, after calling an ambulance first. She knows her mother is going to take the news hard. She tells her mother that Joey is with Daddy now. Little Linda is so upset she couldn’t go to her brother’s funeral. She said she went to the cemetery after everyone left and stayed there all day.

She ends by saying that the mob life is a horror filled with misery, death and nightmares. She would give up everything she has if she could spend a one more second with her brother.

I Married A Mobster: Ga Ga Goo Goo #2

Lovely mother with Baby Bad@ss
First and foremost I have to give a huge shout out to Crystal Ortiz, one of our readers.  Crystal shared with me that she reads The Mob Wives Blogspot everyday.  We have special love for readers who drop by daily to read what's new around here.  Chiara goes out of her way to make sure that each and every morning you have something new to read.  Crystal also shared that what we do here has made her love the Mob Wives even more.  Miss Ortiz isn't on our payroll, for all you cynics!  We don't have a payroll around here.  However, we appreciate her support and yours too!

Recently we decided to play a game with our readers who comment and tweet!  Ga Ga Goo Goo is a game where we post the baby/toddler/school age picture of a cast from one of the shows we recap or someone very closely connected.  Our first Ga Ga Goo Goo was fun.  However, a certain younger sister rained on our guessing game parade!  I am not a snitch so I am not even going to rat her out in this post.

A bottle & bat..... REALLY?
Well it's time for you all to get your guessing game on.  All Mob Wives Blogspot bloggers are disqualified from guessing.  It is unfair to our readers even though I don't tell you sh!t.  So who is the baby?  What individual would be holding a bat & a bottle at the same time?!  I know but do you?  She knows the Mob Wives women.  Leave your guesses in the comment box!

Have you voted in this week's poll?  If no why not, it only takes seconds for you to read it and vote!  It's a quick scroll up and to your right.  Vote pretty please with sauce & zucchini on top.

Mob Wives: Did Mob Wives Deliver?

I never saw this ad for the show before, even though it's been up since April.  The Mob Wives discuss the 5 reasons why you should watch the show and what went into their decisions to be on the show.  I enjoyed seeing them all again, and the video gave me a 3D feeling.

According to Renee, Karen, Drita and Carla, the 5 reasons why we should watch Mob Wives are:

1. Four extraordinary women going through life changes.
2. Absolute realness
3. Friendships and bonds and craziness
4. To get a really good laugh
5. Because they said so!

Let me know what you think of the clip?  I loved it!  Watched it three or four times already!

Mob Wives: Happy Birthday Chiara!

Today is Chiara's birthday.  I am running out the door for work.  However, I have to wish my partner in blog and friend for life a wonderful birthday.  I know you thought I forgot Chiara.  I didn't.  Thank you for all you do and putting up with my brash personality & sailor mouth.

Mob Wives: The Canadians Are Coming!

As you can plainly see, a Canadian Goose dropped by and delivered a“package” for me. No it wasn’t full of pepperoni, mozzarella and vanilla coke, like Lee’s packages! And, no, it wasn’t those nasty goose “droppings” that are plaguing the Northeast. It was a little news for me to share with you all. Mob Wives is going to be a new series in Canada! I am almost envious of them. Starting September 9th, Canadians are going to get to see all of season one for the first time. Then, a short time later, they will get to see season two. Plus, they have this great blog, loaded with information about the cast, the show and their families, to read in between.

I wonder what the Canadians will make of this new series? I started to think about it and wondered if the Italians there would object to how Italians were being portrayed? There are about 1.5 million Italians (and Italian descent) residents in Canada out of a population of 34 million. That’s about 4.6% of the population, making them the fifth largest ethnic group. There is even a “Little Italy” located in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Oh, and did I mention, the Mafia is happy and well and living in Canada? Yes, there is a long history of mafia activity in Canada and way too much to blog about here. I have enough to keep track of with the five New York crime families. But, because I know you are curious, I will give you a little sampling anyway because that’s the kind of blogger I am.

Summer Reading Anyone?

Vito Rizzuto was born in Sicily in 1946 and is known as Montreal’s Teflon Don. Vito and his family moved to Montreal from Sicily, when Vito was eight. His father Nicolo began working as an associate in the Cotroni crime family. By the 1980’s the Rizzuto’s Sicilian crew was the number one Mafia crew after winning a turf war with Calabrian crew and murdering Paolo Violi, a Bonanno underboss who had been made boss of Montreal’s crime family. Rizzuto was allegedly in charge of a huge narcotics operation that imported and distributed enormous quantities of heroine, cocaine and hashish in Canada. Their alleged crimes also included laundering money, illegal gambling, loan sharking, and contract killings. Our own FBI considers Rizzuto only a soldier in the Bonanno crime family of NY, but in Canadian he is considered the most powerful boss in the country. After a series of legal entanglements with the law, for various crimes, Rizzuto is serving time in a Federal prison in Colorado and is due to be released October 2012. At that time he may be extradited to Italy to face charges there. Since his arrest several members of his family have been killed, including his son, Nick Jr. in 2009.

That is just the tip of the iceberg. Organized crime is widespread in Canada and makes for an interesting read. However, my focus is on Mob Wives, so if you are interested in the Canadian Mob you will have to check it out yourself! Happy readings, eh?

Let’s welcome our Canadian neighbors to Mob Wives!

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Rest in Peace Russell Armstrong

Russell & Taylor Armstrong
The Mob Wives Blogspot sends our deepest sympathies to Aidan, Kennedy & Taylor Armstrong.  Russell Armstrong passed away recently of an apparent suicide.  We can't imagine what his family & friends are going during this devastating time.  The Armstrongs were part of the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  He was a successful investment banker & venture capitalist.  He came across as a quiet man on the show. Recently The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple made headlines with Taylor Armstrong filing for divorce.  Mr. Armstrong was the father of two children, a son & daughter.  Our sincerest hope is Mr. Armstrong is at peace.  We pray his loved ones receive the support they need during and after this very trying time.

The Bravo Family has been expressing their condolences all afternoon via Twitter.

Mob Wives: Karen Gravano Greys It Like It's Hot

Mob Wives' BFFs getting hugged my somebody Yum Yum!
Recently, Karen Gravano of Mob Wives allowed me to chat her up.  She has no idea how much I like her swag.  It's not a false swag.  It's not a I'm going to beat everyone's @ss swag.  It's not I am going to fake it for the cameras swag.  It's I'm Karen Gravano you like me or you don't swag.  The world is round either way.

I reached out to Karen for blog related business.  I had questions for the attractive, cautious Mob Wife.  First, "Where the hell were you in the picture with Jennifer Graziano? I NEED TO KNOW!"  Karen was gracious as always and told my nosey behind.  She and the executive producer of Mob Wives were at The Colosseum Nightclub and Lounge located in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  I am old and need a hearing aid.  I couldn't make out Scranton for the life of me.  As I was writing this blog I was thinking, 'what city was that again?  Hartboro...'  Yes, I am forgetful too.

The Mob Wives cast has got to learn that in spite of whatever opinion we have of them; we are here for our readers.  Some of our readers would like to know about their appearances in various states.  So the Mob Wives fan can show up & support their beloved Mob Wives if they're in the readers' local area.  I am telling you now if Jennifer Graziano is in my area, I am showing up with resume in hand.  "Yo Jennifer I need a career move!  Look at what I do for free, imagine what I could do on payroll!  And one more thing Jennifer, you have the most courteous and professional assistant ever.  I adore him."

You know I try to be all up into the Mob Wives' Kool-Aid.  You best believe I know each of their flavors too.  So I ask Karen what went down that night August 6, 2011 @ the Colosseum.  She shared that she dropped it like it's hot.  My knees ached at the thought.  But I ain't mad @ Miss Gravano for getting her groove and Grey Goose & soda on!

You know I am a tenderoni perv too.  So I had to ask, "Who is the dude in the photo with you and Jenn?"

"Uncle Mone-E"

"Uncle Money?"

"Uncle Mone-E"

"Huh?"

"Mistress just call him Mone."

I know Karen meant Mone which is short for Ramone.  But I heard moan.  As if he can moan my name!  He don't look like no uncle to me.  He looks like a Daddy!  Y'all thought old men had the corner market on perv, you have no idea what this old gal is made of.

Karen was tight lipped about the going ons of season 2 of Mob Wives.  You think Jennifer Graziano made her take an omerta on top of a confidentiality agreement?  Miss Gravano wasn't snitching a detail to her #1 Team Karen blogger.  (Joshy of Team Renee isn't the only one who can be number one at something.) Well I am a blogger and we aren't exactly known for keeping secrets.  So I am not going to hold it against her.  She did tell me that season 1 doesn't have nothing on season 2 of Mob Wives.  We're going to see new faces and all the mob mess of old & new drama.  Karen really made me feel like Pookie (a crackhead in the gangster movie New Jack City)!  I guess she doesn't understand that I am a Mob Wives junkie.

Don't forget to vote in our poll, Chiara gave us a dosey!  She kills me around here.  It only takes a few seconds for you to read it & vote.  You know the drill.  It's a quick scroll up and to your right.  I've voted now it's your turn.  Your opinion matters to us.  I want to see Lana Graziano Zanococchio!  Don't mind me I am just typing out loud.

Mob Wives: The Birth Of Our Blog!

~Our first blog, April 10th, 2011~
Baby Pictures: One day old!

On April 17th, the premiere episode of Mob Wives aired! Has it only been four months ago that Mob Mistress and I started this blog? It seems like 4 years ago. I blog so much that I barely come up for air. I got to thinking, maybe our readers would like to know how these two “miserable often b!tchy housewives” got into this blog business in the first place. Let’s see if I can make sense of it for you.

Mob Mistress and I met almost a year ago in an online forum discussing other television housewives. We soon grew tired of the drama in that forum, where the posters were taking remarks, about their favorite housewives’ bad behavior, very personally. They were even forming alliances with each other behind the scenes, like Big Brother. Soon, instead of individuals arguing with each other, there were groups hurling insults at each other and it really got ugly. The drama on the forum was ultimately far worse that the behavior of the women on the show could ever be. In the process of all this, Mob Mistress and I gravitated to one another. The reason for this is that we both enjoyed each other’s writing and respected our differences of opinions, and believe me there were plenty. But, instead of arguing like the others, we discussed our different views and agreed to disagree. We also have in common the fact that we appreciate intelligent, articulate, logical people, like ourselves! And “likes” do attract!

The housewives forum was no longer fun. The once seemingly intelligent conversation literally went to pot on a few short weeks. One day, Mob Mistress tells me she wants to write a blog with me, a little place where we can have a fun and peace, just the two of us. I ask her, what would we write about? I can’t just write about anything, I need to care about what I write about. She answers that we will pick different topics and each voice our opinions on it. She thinks it would be interesting because we have very distinct and different writing styles and opinions and it could be a success.

Well, we let that idea marinate in its juices, and while it was sitting out there in cyber space, I started talking to her about watching Mob Wives. VH1 did a great job of promoting the show and the clips had plenty of drama and excitement. The next thing I know, Mob Mistress has a blog up for us, ready to write about the show, two weeks before it premieres. She asks me if I want to blog about the show, since we will both be watching it. We will be equal partners, it will be a joint venture. I say yes, but I hesitate a little at first because, after all, we are going to write about the “mob.” How will we be able to say how we feel and think if the “mob” is reading our blog? Of course this is of absolutely no concern to Mob Mistress. Just so you completely understand, let me be clear. She has always made a very strong point that she doesn’t care who likes her opinion or who doesn’t like it. She will say what she wants, to who she wants, when she wants, always with honesty and integity, but always what she wants. She will not censor herself for anyone, or be censored. However, she understood my concerns eventually, even though it took me a while to get my point across. We decided to make “pen names” or aliases so that we would be freer to express ourselves. I felt better about that. Next thing I know she has two or three blogs up and gives me the green light to start writing.

I looked at the blog and it’s beautiful! The third post, “The Big Bang” could not have been more appropriate for the show’s take off and our blog’s launching. Mob Mistress posted it April 11th, just six days before the premiere. I hated the song at first and quickly learned to love it. Mob Mistress loved the song at first and then, well, she got tired of it.

It’s one week before the premiere. I need to do some investigating. I know nothing about these four women, except what is in their tiny VH1 bio. Hardly enough information to use to write a blog. But, I soon found, through my research, that there was tons of information available. And on top of that, viable sources started reaching out to us wanting to share information.  The problem is that the information we learn about isn’t always reliable. Mob Mistress and I, although we never had to discuss it, both strive for the truth and accuracy in what we say and write. I think that’s another thing that we bonded over. We wanted to write about the facts and feel free to voice our opinions based on what we read online, view on television and research. If we could not verify our facts, we sat on the story until we could. By the time the show aired, we had several blogs up related to the women, their families and their connections to the mob. It was fun discussing who would write what and when to post the blogs.

Once the show aired, we were getting hits. A lot of hits! People found our blog immediately and loved it. Neither one of us expected our little pastime amusement to grow and blossom the way it did. We loved the show, we loved the writing, and before we knew it, we were on the first page of every Google search on everything Mob Wives. Believe me when I say that we were not aiming to be so big and we do have to thank the success of the show for putting us on the map so fast. In June, just two short months into the show, Mob Mistress was interviewing the Mob Wives, and I met Renee and Jennifer Graziano in person! This was just too crazy! It was like I was in a blogger’s Twilight Zone. I felt like I had stepped out from behind the computer and into the show itself. Imagine how it must feel to one minute be blogging about the mob wives at a club on the show and then, almost literally the next minute, I am at a club with the mob wives! It was surreal.

Not only that, the blog keeps getting bigger and bigger. We added, ID’s I Married A Mobster, along with others shows and bloggers, and are talking with the women from those shows too. We seem to have become a phenomena without even trying. We just wanted to have a little fun and write on a small blog. It was just supposed to be a shared mutual interest between two friends who love to write, with a few regular readers. But, if Season 1 is any predictor of what is going to happen in Season 2, we just might have a Blogging Empire!
