Mob Wives: Recap "The Last Sit Down" Finale, Ep 611

The Final Sit Down

Frankly, I feel a little sad. Not only is this the last episode of the last season, but it seems to me that this season was very rushed and 10 episodes wasn't enough to accomplish what needed to be accomplished. I was under the mistaken impression that the Reunion Show would be at least two episodes, but it seems that this is all there is . . . a one hour reunion recapping six seasons and with new footage we have never seen. Even the Reunion has been short changed. I don't know why they had to bring things to an end so fast, it doesn't feel right. We've invested so much in the show and cast and I just hope we all feel satisfied after tonight's episode. I have my wine and laptop and I'm ready . . .  so bring it on.

Six Epic Seasons of Mayhem!  Mobsters! And Madness! All Comes Down! To The Reality Behind The Scenes! When Unseen Footage is Revealed! The Truth Is Exposed! All Bets Are Off! In The Final Sitdown!

Renee can't believe the footage!

Everyone meets at the hotel to get ready to film. Hair, makeup and wardrobe. Renee wants to know if she ever got as angry as some the girls she is watching? She must have forgotten those "crumbs." Carla says the way she [Drita] makes up stories is pathetic. Karen is excited to get to the Reunion. The women are told to watch old footage and footage that has never been aired before. Theses to rile them up before The Final Sit Down.  It works. Karen says she is glad fans are finally going to see what goes on behind the scenes, they deserve to know the truth. I just wish the show had been longer and we were able to see a lot more footage!

Karen watches footage of Drita talking about her father
which she claims she never did @@

Karen sees a video of Drita saying Karen brings up her father and he is too involved.  Drita really looks miserable to me. Things on the show didn't turn out the way she expected. They have footage where Karen says "Everybody in the neighborhood went to jail because of her [Drita]." Drita is shock that this footage will be aired and she is fit to be tied. "That's not gonna be on tv is it?" Now she refuses to talk at the reunion and has decided to resort to fighting. The main issue seems to be the ongoing drama that has existed between Karen and Drita for 5 years. Karen says Drita is a psychopath who thinks she runs Staten Island. Renee says the only people who can't hear the truth are the people who lie.

That's not gonna be on tv is it?
Hmmm, yes it is.

Warehouse!  Karen and Renee enter and take a seat. They reminisce about how the show started. Jennifer Graziano's idea for a television show of four women who had men in prison and had to keep the family together and the day to day struggles they faced in the lifestyle. Karen says Drita told her how happy she was that they were talking again. Karen felt nervous being on the show and opening a can of worms. Karen say when they named the show Mob Wives they all flipped out. Karen reminds Renee she wasn't too happy to see her back in Staten Island when the show started and how she blamed her for what her father did. But Karen also says she understands Renee was feeling she would be judged for associating with Karen because of the show. Karen says Drita has had a problem with everyone and tries to divide and conquer. She keeps harping on the problem Karen and Renee had. Renee says there is no divide and conquer. They are both still sitting there together in the end and the best of friends.

Angela giving advice

Angela walks in and looks fantastic. Karen brings Ang into their reminiscing conversation. When approached to do the show Ang said she couldn't do it. Ang says people told her if she does the show they wouldn't talk to her. Karen said before Ang joined the cast they were gonna kill each other. Ang doesn't like to hurt people's feelings. She was known as the peacemaker on the show. Except for the season she was having an issue with Renee. Karen makes reference to Drita causing problems and Ang calls her an "instigator." Then we see a clip: Drita is yelling at Ang because she never speaks up for herself and she tells Ang she is controlled by the puppet master. Too bad that didn't air when it happened, I could have had a field day with that.

Drita arrives at Hotel

Being bombarded by old footage, Drita is at the hotel complaining to producers she just wants to see Karen Gravano without security. She is really riled up.

Carla arrives at the warehouse all dressed in red. She doesn't know what will happen, but she wants some answers. Karen says she is just going to be real and whatever happens happens. Renee says you can't make up some situations that were shown, like the biggest mob bust happened during the filming of the show. What are the odds of that happening?  Then to find out Junior turned informant and Renee's father was arrested because Junior wore a wire. Karen says their primary goal was to get on the show to make money for their families.  Karen now feels all the things they fought over seem so ridiculous when Ang is fighting for her life. Ang says nothing was that serious. Ang says she has to leave. She tells them to behave and act as good as they look. (Note, Ang passed two weeks after the filming, may she rest in peace). Still seems so surreal to me that Ang is gone.

They put a live feed in Drita's room so she can hear and see everything that is going on in the warehouse. She just gets more pissed off, if that's possible.

Drita runs for Karen

Karen says they all had fights and they were superficial. But, her fight with Drita was deep. A lot of it had to do with Lee.  Karen asks where did it go left? When she makes up stories and tries to affect her money and makes up lies about her father? Drita is watching this and threatens the producer. She wants to fight, that's it. Get the cameras out of her room. She says they are all trying to get her arrested. Drita is going down in the elevator, security is told to get in place. The girls are told this is their last chance to say what they want to say to Drita. Karen says she is a jerk off, she's not real, she's a television character.  Drita is on her way. She wants to break Karen's jaw or wire it shut. Of course she does, she doesn't want Karen to tell any truths about her. Security is in place. Uh Oh! Drita walks in and runs over trying to get to Karen. Poor Carla was in the path of the tornado and got thrown on the table by security. They pull Drita away and Karen laughs at her for the theatrics. Drita yells at Renee "what are you looking at?" Renee is yelling they were supposed to have a conversation and not raise hands. Drita is running her mouth and Karen is aggravated. Karen has to sit in the back in order for Drita to sit down at the table. Drita says she will not sit down with Karen because she talks about Lee. Just another excuse not to face Karen. She is a coward! Drita yells she doesn't talk about her [Karen] baby's father.  Karen is pissed and yells "you started it b*tch!" Drita gets her way. Karen says she has no balls to talk to her face. She even tried to sucker punch her. Karen tells Renee she did not get hit.

With Karen out of the room, Carla and Drita start talking. Carla said they were good friends for 3 seasons and then Drita changed. Drita acts shocked and says "I changed?" Come on Drita, millions of viewers saw how you turned on Carla (We're not friends like that and she's a mothball. Remember that? Of course not, you never admit to or remember anything you said or did). Carla says she never explained why she had an issue with her all of a sudden. And Carla adds she knows because of how Drita acted when she walked into Renee's party. Carla said fans didn't hear what went on when she left Renee's party, but she did. Clip. Drita said she is quitting the show a couple of times saying they wanted to make her look like a "f*ckin' jerk off" by blindsiding her with Carla's appearance. rita is in denial mode. Carla says she can't ever get anywhere with her because she always says she didn't do it. Karen is in the back and can't even hear their conversation, she is frustrated. Drita accuses Karen of being the biggest liar every season. Renee tells Drita she wants Karen in there to talk. They have a very big problem. Drita says she doesn't like it when people talk about her husband, the prize package.

Lee at his best
Drita can have him, no one else wants him

Renee says everybody's family got talked about. Drita says she never talked about anyone. Another Lie. Karen starts yelling liar in the back. I know how Karen feels, it's hard to argue with a liar who makes things up and denies the truth. But then Renee tells Drita they have it on tape, she was talking about Sammy Gravano. She just saw it. We all saw it and heard it. Drita talks about Karen's family. Drita still insists she will not talk with Karen. Drita says "rats are always protected." Drita tells the producer she cannot sit with Karen at the table. She mentions Lee for some reason or excuse. I wish we could have heard a few words other than Lee. Drita says Karen makes up stories and Karen screams from the back that Drita made up stories about her father.

Drita off in the corner, talking about Sammy
and telling lies

Drita sits down again and says Karen lies so much she can't sit with her. But now we are going to see who the real liar is. The producer finally brings Karen back into the warehouse. Karen walks in and sits down next to Carla across from Drita. Karen wants to know why, in season 5, Drita is in a corner telling production she can't work with Karen and she shouldn't be on the show. Drita says "who told you that ? It's bullsh*t."  Meanwhile we all saw the video tape and it's up on Karen's timeline.  Drita brought up Karen's father and said she can't work with [the threat of] Sammy The Bull. He's gonna come out of jail with nothing and try to kill people. She won't put her family in harm's way. She says she will quit the show. You can see the video on Karen's twitter. Drita tells Karen she said she couldn't work with Karen because she brings up men. She even denies what's on tape! Karen says Drita is the one bringing up the men. Drita lies and says she didn't say it. Big surprise there. Karen said she heard it (and so did we, it's in the video tape). Who should we believe, Drita or our lying eyes and ears?

Marissa enters. Karen wants Marissa to clarify what was said about the men. Marissa says she never said Karen said anything. Marissa met with Drita and said she heard that Drita told someone that Lee talked to O.Z. and told him the girls should play nice. Marissa wanted to know from Drita if the conversation took place between Lee and O.Z. Drita never gave her an answer. Renee says Drita jumped the gun and accused Karen of saying it when she didn't. Brittany walks in. Why, I really don't know. This is going to be a waste of a couple of minutes we don't have to spare. Brittany says Renee has done nothing but talk about her family from day one. Renee says it's the way she is and it's something she has to work on. Renee says Brittany did the same thing, she talked against Drita one minute and then they are best friends the next. Brittany talked against Drita in the Hamptons without knowing her. Brittany says if Renee hadn't brought up her family maybe things would have gone differently. Marissa says through all the drama, at the end of the day, she had fun and wouldn't mind working with them again. Then Marissa and Brittany leave.

The Producer wants the four of them to do one more thing to wrap things up. Karen brings up Angela and her fight with cancer. Renee says Ang gave them a lot of laughs and she has a good spirit. They all miss Ang at the reunion and they all agree on one thing, they will all be there for Ang. Certain people will no longer be friends, but hey will all always be connected because they were on this show together.

There you have it!  Five years, six seasons of unbelievable drama. Many of us have been there from day one. We are going to miss our guilty pleasure. It's with sadness that we must close the book on a great show that was not only entertaining, but brought many of us together as friends. Jennifer Graziano had the vision to create an epic show and hopefully she will give us another before too long.
Here is a recent tweet if you missed it . . .

So stay tuned. If I know Jenn she will be making an announcement before very long!

Mob Wives: Recap "Season 6 Finale of The Last Stand" Ep 610

and Carla, Karen and Renee walk off to the Big Big BANG

while the cheese stands alone

I cannot believe this is the last show of the last season of Mob Wives! We started this blog almost 5 years to the day, just before season one premiered in April, 2011. It's been a long, long ride. It started with two friends who met online and wanted to write something together for fun. We got a whole lot more than a hobby out of it. We met and spoke with all the Mob Wives at one time or another, and the show's Executive Producer, Jennifer Graziano. We made friends with other diehard fans who shared our views and opinions and with many who didn't. It's been quite an experience to say the least. Thank you to all our loyal readers for sharing your thoughts on the show and it's cast week after week. We appreciate all of you. And now for the recap . . .

And away we go!

It's the last night of Renee's Ballroom dancing so she invited the girls to her recital. This is the new, improved Renee. In come Carla, Marissa, and Karen with a bouquet of flowers. AJ and his girlfriend arrive. Renee comes out with her instructor and they are doing the Rhumba! Renee seems a little nervous, but she performs flawlessly. Everyone is impressed with Renee's dancing skills. Renee is proud of herself. She is proving she can do anything. She thanks everyone for coming. It's great to see Renee really happy and enjoying life after all we have seen her go through. AJ's dancing idea was brilliant and I'm glad she listened to him. Now, if we could only get Dancing With the Stars to give her a call, we could get Renee back on our screens and give me something to blog about!

Delusions?

Ang's House. Drita arrives. She has that Orange Glow (not the furniture polish, at least I don't think so). Ang is making her coffee. Ang finds it hard to breathe since the lung surgery. Ang says she is trying to keep positive now that she found out she is cancer free. Without skipping a heartbeat, Drita tells Ang about the things Brittany told her that Karen said about Lee. Drita is "really really really pissed off." Ang says Marissa swears she never told Drita it was Karen who said the men (Lee and OZ) talked to each other about the girls playing nice. Drita is even more angry and thinks Marissa is out of her mother f*ckin' mind. Drita insists Marissa told her Karen said it. Too bad the world saw Marissa tell all the ladies, and then Drita herself, the story of the men talking and Karen's name did NOT come out of her mouth . . . it came out of Drita's! In fact the way I remember it is, Marissa tells Drita word on the street is the men were talking. Drita says, who could have put that out there? Not Renee, not Carla. I'll tell you who did it . . . Karen Gravano! Then Drita really loses it! Drita says this is my f*cking island [Staten Island]. Karen has to move and she says she will torture her until she moves. She's gonna kick her the f*ck out. Drita is screaming about Karen and Marissa like she is out of her mind. Now she is done with the two of them. Poor Ang. Does Drita ever think of anyone but herself? Seriously? She wants to go ape sh*t about Karen and Marissa in Ang's kitchen when she is still recuperating from her surgery, dealing with cancer and hates fighting? How about taking the petty problems that you created in your imagination, to Dr. Phil and leave Ang in peace? Maybe Dr. Phil can shrink her head?

Karen and Karina go driving. Karen wants Karina to get some practice parking. Karina isn't taking it too seriously. Karina looks at Karen more like a friend than a mother. Karen wants to know how she got her permit, she doesn't understand some of the basics, like parallel parking. Karen seems a little stressed, like my father when he tried to teach me to drive. Karen says because Karina is in the same school as Aleeya she is concern that this war with Drita is going to spread to the next generation. Karen here's a tip, send Karina to Driver's Ed and then get her extra driving lessons before you try teaching her anything.

Is this Marissa?

Drita's house. She even more orange now if that's possible. Maybe she ate too many carrots? Drita calls Marissa. When Marissa answers, Drita isn't sure who the hell she called because she is "bent." Who is this? Is this Marissa? she asks. Marissa is confused, the last time they talked they had a good conversation and now Drita is mad. Drita isn't even making any sense, just ranting on and on and on. Drita wants to meet up with Marissa, Brittany, Karen to find out who said what. Marissa wants to know why she needs her minion, Brittany, there? Drita calls Karen a rat. Marissa says you know you are hanging out with a family of rats, right? Drita is screaming in Marissa's ear the whole time with lots of cursing and threats.

Oooo you sound really mad, huh?

Marissa says her classic line "You sound really mad, huh?" All the 99 veins in Drita's head and neck are popping out. Marissa says she doesn't understand her Napoleon complex, if anyone should be mad it should be her because Drita has her name in her mouth. Drita goes on the rant of rants, screaming and cursing even more. All I know is someone in that crew needs to call 911 before she has a stroke. Drita wants the meeting to happen tomorrow and she is yelling at the cameraman and whatever crew happens to be there. I think they all should get hazard pay.

aka Brittany

"The Meeting." Drita and Brittany are driving to meet Karen and Marissa. Drita is bent out of shape. Still. She is going to show everyone what the f*ck Karen is all about. She is her boss. That's Drita's new game. Wait! What? Drita thinks she is Karen's boss? And get this, she is going to tell her what to do and what to say! Hell no! Karen tells Marissa that Drita can't win with her words because she is a liar, a fraud, and a snake. Karen says Drita will not disrespect her. If she wants to fight her she will fight her, but first they need to talk about it. They have a lot of history.  Marissa would respect Drita if Drita would say she thought she heard her say Karen's name, but if she didn't then it's her bad. I can guarantee that will never happen. Drita was the one who concluded it had to be Karen and we all saw it. And Drita can go back and rewatch the episode if she has any doubts now.

Meanwhile, Carla, who isn't at this meeting, is worried about the outcome, she thinks they are going to kill each other. Drita tells Brittany she is taking it old school, no more nice guy. Drita makes all kinds of threats on the way to the meeting. Tonight they are going to find out who the boss is. Karen says Drita can't deal with he truth. Karen says Drita doesn't want to fight Karen, she wants to fight the truth and she can't win. They all arrive at the restaurant.

Drita tells Brittany she welcomed Karen with open arms years ago. She is so mad now. Karen has been backstabbing, lying and talking about her and her husband. Karen says she let Drita into their world and the fact Karen knows her all too well terrifies her. Drita starts screaming as soon as Karen walks into the restaurant and calls her a rat. Marissa wants to have a conversation and tries to get one started about who said the men were talking. She barely gets started when Brittany starts verbally attacking Marissa trying to goad her into fighting. No one can get a word in with Brittany screeching and then Drita joining in. Karen and Marissa remain calm waiting for the conversation. Drita keeps yelling across the table at Karen. Karen keeps calling Drita a "dumb b*tch," saying she called the meeting but doesn't talk.

Drita screams at security that she doesn't need them there. She starts screaming at Karen. The "Fight" breaks out with Drita lungeing at Karen over the table and Brittany making a dive at Marissa. Security guards jump in and grab each of the women. Karen says the fact Drita just wants to fight and not talk proves she can't handle the truth. She doesn't want to hear the truth, she is a disloyal b*tch. Karen tells Drita she never ratted on anybody, if she did Lee would be in jail. Karen says no one likes Lee, they talk bad about him on the street, he cheats on Drita. Karen says she isn't scared of the truth. Karens yells to Drita, "You are irrelevant B*tch, I showed up to tell you that." Karen says Drita is all about the theatrics. Karen says she created a fake persona, fake green screen monster, gangster b*tch, lady boss. "She's a fake, fraud, rat b*tch." Drita says Karen came back to SI to make trouble and to talk about Drita and Lee. She is going to smack her and call her out every time she sees her. And then everyone goes their separate ways since no conversation will be happening.

Well, nothing came out of that at all. Drita is all worked up about things that never happened. She made up her mind Karen started the rumor between Lee and OZ, when she made it up. Karen did not come back to Staten Island to talk about Drita and Lee. She came back to be on the show to help her friend Jenn out because her name was the big draw for production and viewers. She came to have a platform and exposure for her book. She came back at great personal sacrifice of having to leave her daughter behind in order to be able to give her daughter a better life. She didn't come back to talk about Lee and Drita. If you read her book, they are barely mentioned in it. They are insignificant in the overall story of her life. I don't know how Drita can believe Karen would care enough about her and Lee to come back to Staten Island? In fact, all Karen tried to do was to talk to Drita and try to reestablish their friendship, but Drita wasn't having it. I think Drita felt jealous and threatened by Karen and maybe even guilty because she married her ex and never had the decency to tell her. But what do I know? Anyway, the finale tries to wrap up the loose ends in the last minutes. Frankly, we needed at least two more episodes to give us satisfaction and closure. This season was just too rushed.

Two months later.  Time to wrap things up.

Karina has been booked for a huge modeling gig and Karen has been focused on her daughter.  Karen says they are very close and she considers her her best friend. Karens says she doesn't speak to Drita since that night. Drita knows nothing about loyalty. Karen says she grew up in the lifestyle and now she understands it is about loyalty, a brotherhood and protecting your family. Those are the core values in life. She says she is connected to Renee, Ang and Carla by the lifestyle they grew up in. She wants her family to come together and be successful. Karen's crime? Giving the wrong people respect.

Renee is in the best place in her life that she has been in the last 6 years. She is going to keep moving forward. She says the group girls have been through so much, good times, bad times, ups and downs, some will remain friends and others won't. AJ is her entire world. She is impressed by her son. Renee says her crime is falling in love with the lifestyle that was made for men.

Carla says her life has changed so much the last 5 years. Her kids are her life. They are 13 now. She doesn't regret growing up in the lifestyle, but she doesn't want it for her kids. She just wants them to be successful and smart, and be their own person. Carla says she is extremely loyal. Her crime, being loyal to a fault.

Drita calls Lee down to dinner and we see a man come down the stairs, but they don't show his head. I think we've seen enough of Lee in the parking lot, don't you? Drita feels her family has been in the best place it's ever been. Drita says it's all about protecting your family. Drita says Karen is a back stabbing, story telling b*tch is irrelevant to her life. Ang was always a true friend to her. She doesn't want to change anything in her life right now. Drita's crime, staying in love with a former professional bank robber. (Gag).

Ending with Big Ang and her family, talking about the difficult road ahead with her health issues.

What's done, is done. And the Big Big Bang scene with Renee, Karen and Carla walking down the street, they stop for a second and turn to look at Drita who is off to the side, then turn back and continue walking! Drita is left standing alone. Is it me or did anyone else think Drita was sad, maybe even crying, before that scene was filmed?  In those few seconds the show really summed up everything. That was brilliant!

We would like to thank Executive Producer, Jennifer Graziano, for creating this show and putting everything she had into it. The concept was amazing and puts the other "housewife" shows to shame. And, we would like to thank Karen Gravano, Renee Graziano, Carla Facciolo, Angela Raiola and even Drita D'Avanzo for sharing their personal lives with us for five years, on and off the show. Renee and Ang especially shared some of the most difficult life experiences anyone can ever go through and they did it to help others. Karen kept it real. She is an open book. Her story, growing up as the daughter of the most notorious underboss in New York crime family history, is compelling. Carla, what can we say, you are loyal to a fault, we've all seen it. Ang will be missed by many more than just Mob Wives fans. She touched so many hearts beyond just the show. It's hard to believe she is really gone.

Thanks too to Ramona Rizzo and Love Majewski, who have the mob ties and history and brought a lot to the show.  They were only in the show a season or two, but they were always missed by fans.

Thanks to my blog crew: Mob Mistress, Underboss, and Carmela for all the help behind the scenes. This show helped bring us all together and that will not change now that it's coming to an end.

There are too many people on Twitter to name that have become part of "our team" so forgive me if I left your name out, Thanks to: DonDig, Tweetpolice, SpeakingRoses, MobBaby, Melissa, HeyYou, Victoria, Debbie, Stacey, Queen of Bitchville, Lala, ZB, Deliajt, John Simon, TLKjustice, Margaret, Gypsy and so many more "friends of ours" who are hoping for a season 7!

Don't forget, we still have the Reunion Show to look forward to. Stay Tuned!

Mob Wives: Season Finale Sneak Peek Ep 512

All eyes are on Gnatalie

"The Final Face-off " between the two Natalies is actually the ONLY face-off. Renee throws a party to celebrate her baptism. Drita seems convinced that the tape Natalie D played for her is real and puts doubts in Ang's head about who Gnat really is. Ang is confused. Natalie D enters the restaurant with her boyfriend, Ronnie, but she doesn't seem very happy to be there. Renee greets her with a "Happy, happy" as if to remind her this is a happy occasion. Natalie D tells Karen she is prepared to play her tape for everyone. Karen is glad she doesn't have to do anything more to expose the truth about Gnat. When Gnat walks in with London, all eyes are on her. The room is full of tension. What is going to happen? These three minutes even had me antsy.

Real Housewives of New York: Finale's What The Hell Moments S6 E20

Footloose!
"I'll hit the ceiling or else I'll tear up this town!"

“The Last Leg” or the last straw? Aviva cannot stand being called “fake” any longer, so she throws her leg across the table to make her point. You want fake? This is the only thing fake about me she tells her insensitive co-stars. And with that dramatic toss Aviva shows she has a leg up on everyone else! Warning: I am going to get all my leg and foot jokes in this blog!

Sonja hurt her ankle after being ditched by Harry. Ramona and Kristen show up and ask what happened. Sonja tells them Harry and LuAnn left the party together and got into a cab. She heard that LuAnn told him she was single. Sonja says she fell on the street chasing a cab. Boo Hoo Sonja is crying her eyes out over Harry. If it was me I’d be celebrating, but these women never do what I would do. Sonja is confused and in pain. Kristen is confused (what else is new?). Ramona is ranting (what else is new?). Sonja says Harry blew it the first time around with her and he is blowing it the second time too. (I’m not touching this line.) Then Sonja goes down the stairs with boots that have heels at least four inches high . . . Do I believe she hurt her foot? Is anything real on this show? Carole tweeted that Sonja twisted her ankle because she was drunk not chasing a cab. Now that I can believe! But maybe Sonja’s leg just wants to give Aviva’s leg a run for her money? Some people are so competitive!

"I wouldn't touch Harry with a 10 foot pole!"

And now LuAnn drops by Sonja’s. Really?  LuAnn takes a seat at the table with Sonja. Sonja accuses LuAnn of leaving the party with Harry. LuAnn says Harry left the party and followed the others, not her. LuAnn is angry that Sonja would accuse her of having anything to do with Harry. Lu says she wouldn’t touch him with a 10 foot pole, been there done that. Sonja can’t stay mad at her especially not over Harry. Sonja really doesn’t seem that angry at all for all the crying she did a few minutes ago, but she wants Harry to do some explaining. Harry has to step up to the plate and start talking! Maybe he will put his Foot in his mouth?

Carole and Heather are shopping for bags and find one they love that costs $9,000. I think we refer to that as costing an “arm and a leg.” Very nice. Heather brings up Jax and his hearing issues. They got a second opinion from a doctor who said they probably won’t be able to reverse the hearing loss. It’s confusing when doctors have different opinions. Carole relates because she went to different doctors for her husband and says you just have to pick one doctor that you trust and listen to him. Jax feels his hearing is fine, so no surgery.

By the way I am skipping over the scenes with Kristen because they are really boring so check another blog if you are a fan of hers.

Sonja meets Harry for lunch. He wants to talk about what happened and move on. Sonja says he left her at the club and got in a cab with LuAnn. And, what’s worse is that it happened the same night he says he wants to commit to her, just minutes after he gave her the ring. Someone told him LuAnn was drinking and he shouldn’t let her leave alone. He says nothing happened. Sonja asks him how can he leave her at the party. He says it was stupid and he is sorry. Sonja says she was ready for a commitment, but he isn’t. She returns his ring and says “let’s keep things the way they were.” I guess Sonja isn’t going “commando” for Harry any time soon.

Next up are Carole’s apartment renovations. Heather and Kristen drop by and love it what she has done to it. Kristen likes the fact that there is no kitchen. Heather pops the champagne and Carole says she loves her apartment. And seriously, the apartment is stunning! Carole gets a text that Aviva is joining them at the Team Sonja party. Kristen says Aviva is an outsider at this point for not going to Montana. Heather and Carole aren’t thrilled with Aviva and her phobias. Carole intends to be politely rude. She feels when Aviva is gone it feels like a vacation. They all toast to their common dislike of Aviva. But what if Aviva was really sick and they are all kicking her when she is down? Will Aviva be able to go toe-to-toe with them about this?

Ramona and Carole are having a chat and Ramona tells her she dated Fabio. Then she brags about how she and Mario had instant chemistry and are still together. I think Ramona dated Pinot before dating Fabio and Mario.

Aviva clearly doesn't like where
 this dinner conversation is headed!

Team Sonja Party! LuAnn, Heather, Ramona, Carole, Kristen are all there. Carole says she doesn’t think she is on Team Sonja, but nevertheless she was invited. Sonja wants to celebrate how well things are going for her. Sonja makes her grand entrance. And then here comes Aviva, putting her best foot forward, is all dressed in red like a movie star from the old MGM movies. She says she came to support Sonja. Sonja wants to give a speech celebrating all the people there who help her develop her brand. But before Sonja opens her mouth, an obnoxious Ramona berates her for not saying hello to her friends first, after all, they have been there an hour. LuAnn keeps calling Sonja’s Team bizarre and laughing. Ramona says Sonja’s speech was a book and it made no sense at all. Ramona and Heather are saying Aviva is fake for not going to Montana and making up the whole asthma excuse. Aviva is upset because they are all avoiding her none of them ever asked her how she is feeling. Sonja isn’t too thrilled with some of “her friends” for laughing at her speech. Every one of the housewives is against Aviva, and Heather decides to confront her at the table. Aviva doesn’t understand what is happening at first, like she has been blindsided. Carole says she has been the most horrible person to everyone here. They accuse her of lying! Aviva has had it! Aviva screams my doctor must have lied to me.

The proof is in the x-ray!

Then Aviva whips out her x-rays to show them that either her asthma is real or her doctor is creating an elaborate lie. Aviva doesn’t want be called a liar. I think we have found Aviva’s “Achilles Heel!” Then, Aviva takes a jab at Carole’s writing. She feels this attack goes back to what she said about Carole’s book. Ramona thinks Aviva didn’t want to go to Montana because she didn’t want leave her husband. Aviva says that missing the trip was purely due to illness. Aviva tries to explain that the cause of her asthma is reflux and she had to eat differently to get better and lost ten pounds because of it. Aviva finds it very hurtful that no one believes her. Then Heather announces she wants to go home, this is all a waste of her time.

First it's on the table . . .

. . . then flung to the floor
The last time I saw it, it walked out the door.

Out with the leg! Somebody cue the DJ to play “Footloose!” Aviva takes off her leg and waves it yelling, “This is the only thing fake about me! Everything else is real, everything else! I am sick of it.” Aviva puts her foot down for the last time. She flings it on the table. And then, from the table, she flings it out to the floor. Everyone looks horrified. Aviva says Heather is very mean. Carole picks up the leg, returns it to Aviva and tells her she needs help. Then Carole quips you know what they say “it ain’t over till the fat lady sings or the skinny lady throws her leg.” You have to love Carole’s wit.

Carole retrieves the leg,
while LuAnn is still in a tizzy.

That’s it for season 6 with a two part reunion show waiting in the wings. Will there be a season 7 for New York? I think Andy is working on it, but I did hear everyone was fired except Ramona, who will be full-time and Aviva, who will be part-time (which she pretty much was this season). I am not happy with this development. If I were Andy I would keep Heather, Carole, Aviva and LuAnn and add a couple of NEW drama divas. If you think you can do without Aviva, think again. She caused drama in every episode she was in, and all they did was talk about her in every episode that she went missing.

Mob Wives: Sneak Peek "Alicia's Sentencing" Finale Ep 412

Alicia leaves court...was anything accomplished?

I found this sneak peek of the finale. The girls are all reacting to "Alicia's Sentencing." She could get 5 years, she could have to pay a million dollars...really? This doesn't seem to jive with the truth that we already know. For one thing the Feds were looking to take the $96,000 Alicia made on Mob Wives for fines and $20,000 for restitution for the pension funds she pocketed...not one million dollars. Second of all, Alicia did go to court to be sentenced a few weeks ago. You may remember that she tweeted nothing was resolved, they are still trying to work out the restitution and fines. The sentencing was postponed till March...that's the last thing I read. So what is all this much ado about nothing? You decide. To me is just more scripted drama for the camera. It would be nice if something had the ring of truth to it once in a while.

Alicia has been crying all season about Eddie the love of her life, right? Well I cam across this interview where she states she left him four years ago and has now filed for divorce. Why all the fake tears? Everyone is writing about her long time boyfriend, Rob Lascala, who allegedly pays her bills and gave her a Cartier bracelet to wear over her tattoo of Eddie's name. Is anything about Alicia real, except for her pleading guilty to cooking the books? Here is the link to the article: Alicia Files for divorce

Meanwhile, the news was just released that there will be a season 5 of Mob Wives New Blood. Congratulations to Jennifer Graziano! However, the way the article reads to me, it sounds like all the same women will be back. I will have my work cut out for me. Enough said. Here is the video...

American Horror Story: Asylum - Madness Ends

Season 2 went out with a bang, but first, some season 3 updates.  Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe are all set to return, as well as Taissa Farminga, and it will include another pair of starcrossed teenage angsty lovers.  Oh joy.  It will also center on Lange.  And what else is new?

Madness Ends takes place in 2013, with Lana as a Barbara Walters type, and she looks GREAT, and by great I mean her face is motionless.  She's doing a tell all interview about her career.  After Kit spoke to her about needing to shut down Briarcliff, Lana decides to change direction in her career.  She becomes an investigative reporter, and sneaks cameras into Briarcliff to show the horrors.

While she's there, she discovers that Jude is missing.  She discovers that Kit had Jude discharged into his care.  She meets with him and he tells her about Jude's recovery.  After detoxing from her medications, she had a violent outburst, but Kit's children take her into the woods, and when she returns, she is well adjusted and happy.  Soon after that, Jude dies.

Lana then turns her attention to Father Timothy, now a Cardinal, in a new investigative report.  Though he does not cooperate, Lana exposes his knowledge of the atrocities at Briarcliff, and how he knowingly worked with a former Nazi who performed experimental procedures on patients.  As a result of this investigation, Cardinal Howard kills himself.  From the shame, I suppose.

A few years later on, Kit is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  His condition worsens, until one day, he just disappears.  What a satisfying conclusion to the alien plotline I've been complaining about all season.  Oh Ryan Murphy, how could I have ever doubted you.  ::eyeroll::

Lana admits in her interview that she lied in her book when she said her child was dead.  She comes clean that he was alive, and that she used her investigative skills to track him down once when he was a child, and stood up for him when he was being bullied.

Meanwhile, this whole time Dylan McDermott has been waltzing around her apartment like craft services, angrily eating eclairs.  At some point they also reveal that he hacked off Adam Levine's arm at the beginning of the season.  How very anticlimactic.

The camera crew packs up their stuff and leaves, but Lana knows that someone stayed behind.  Dylan is there to kill her, and she's known it the whole time.  He knew she was his mother ever since she came up to him that day at school.  But he started hating her when he bought the confession tape on ebay and heard her talk about aborting him.

Lana calms him down and says he's not a bad person, because he's part of her too.  He breaks down and starts crying.  And she shoots him in the head.  POW POW POW.  So much for "no more death," right??

I'm sure many of you enjoyed this season, and I think the actors are terrific, but I just can't be a Ryan Murphy fan.  Any thoughts on what next season will be?  Hoping it will be more cohesive than this one!

Real Housewives of New York: What The Hell Moments S5E18 Finale

Ramona not too happy at ping pong event!

The whole episode was a What The Hell Moment! How many charity events did we see again…two, three? They used charity events and parties to rehash every argument in the whole season? Whose bright idea was that I wonder? Will anyone take credit for it? I have to seriously question anyone’s intention to do “good” for a charity when it’s set up from the beginning to be sabotaged, or at least potentially disrupted, by old drama and new arguments.

Let’s see, where should I start? Carole’s pin pong charity event. I don’t know what Aviva was thinking bringing George to the ping pong event knowing that Ramona would probably be there. George, who I guess was prompted by Bravo producers, made his way over to Ramona and Mario, to have his say. As much as I dislike Mario, he handled the situation well. Ramona, on the other hand, looked like she was literally going to explode. And this is the perfect time to rehash an old argument, the falling out between Aviva and Ramona, which was supposed to be about Ramona calling Harry for information, but became about George “manhandling” Ramona (new argument)! Ramona flipped the script. Maybe they will delve into the Harry phone call on the Reunion Show? I hope they invite Harry!

Loud and obnoxious? Oh, and drinking...again.

Next we have the Yummy Tummy fashion event for charity. Now I generally do not write much about Heather, but I have a comment or two this week. Yes, good for her for telling Aviva she has heard enough about Ramona! However, she has had several issues with Ramona and Sonja, told them off several times, and last night was no exception. Why the hell were Ramona and Sonja talking about the toaster oven again? Ramona and Sonja were incredibly rude when they were yakking it up during the runway show (new argument). Loud and obnoxious doesn’t even begin to cover it. They give new meaning to those words. Were they drinking before and during the show? You bet!

How many drinks have they had now?

Sonja, the ingrate, still complaining about Heather's free help!

Meanwhile it’s time to rehash the old toaster oven argument. Sonja, the ingrate, wanted even more free pictures than she got, and she isn’t too shy to mention it to Heather. Heather has had it, but even when she is angry, she remains cool and level headed. I wonder if another season with these women will change her into a raving lunatic? Can anyone tell me when was the last time you bought a toaster oven anyway?  I hear that the boxes are now ready, thanks to Heather, but the toaster ovens are not? I think Heather should join forces with Aviva, since they are on the same page about Ramona and Sonja, and battle it out with the drunken duo.

Heather wants Aviva to stop mentioning Ramona, but
she has her own ongoing issues with her!

And finally, we have Carole’s book party! What’s a party without and argument, right? Aviva and Ramona rehash the ejection of George from Ramona’s event last week. I have to say, I think Aviva was way over the top defending her dad, but Ramona would drive me to extremes too. Eventually, Aviva asks Carole, the epitome of class and grace, if it was wrong of Ramona to throw her father out? Carole, who no one ever listens to, says “yes, it was wrong” at least a couple of times. No argument from Ramona? Carole is the only one allowed to say what she wants because her royalty out ranks everyone. Can you argue with a princess about manners? But, Ramona quickly defends her silence on the subject by saying, of course Carole was just trying to appease a crazy Aviva. We all know that if Carole said it, Carole meant it and Ramona was WRONG!  Ramona chooses to remain deluded. What else is new?

It’s interesting to me, after watching the whole season, that Carole and LuAnn managed to steer clear of any arguments. I think Carole is a keeper! The show benefits from her intelligence, wit, and calming affect. LuAnn, on the other hand, may need to be put to out to pasture, if there is a season six. Bring in another new housewife already! There is nothing that is going to come from that baby story line and everyone knows it. They already milked it for all it was worth and then some. LuAnn is played out. I don’t know what Andy intends to do with Ramona and Sonja…send them to Dr. Drew’s rehab? Aviva has not become a fan favorite, however I find that her arguments are pretty valid. Maybe they are a little too played out because she isn’t used to dealing with people like Ramona and Sonja? She learned a lot this season, I would like to see how she handles them next season! Heather has a backbone and uses her brain to argue, not Pinot! I like it when people make sense and use logic. That is why I am a fan of the three new wives.

On to the Reunion Shows!

Mob Wives Chicago: Finale Recap, Ep 111

Wolf talks to Leah about her mom's condition

Pia visits Renee, and Renee can’t wait to hear about her meeting with Nora. Pia says she hardly had a chance to say anything before Nora went running out the door. Renee says that is typical of Nora. Pia asks about Giana. Renee tells her that she did not tell Giana that she spoke to her father, who she feels is trying to turn her against Renee. Renee says when he started talking she just screamed at him and now she is worried how Giana is going to take it when he tells her Renee went ballistic. She is afraid she is pushing Giana away. Pia asks about the Boston trip with Dave. Pia senses Renee’s heart isn’t into her relationship with Dave. They both agree Renee needs to focus on Giana first.

Leah and Wolf meet in the park. Leah says her mother is depressed and not doing what the doctors say. Leah wants her to fight. Her heart is weak and they had to stop the chemo treatments. She doesn’t want her mom to give up. Her father says that’s her choice. Leah thinks he is being harsh. Leah says, as hard as it is, she can come to terms with losing her mother, but she says she would rather die before her father. She worries about his health. Her father wants her to be strong, it’s natural that parents die before their children.

Nora and Christina get together. Nora says she met with Pia and it was unproductive. Nora says she couldn’t get a word in edgewise. It was an unintelligent conversation. She is done with Pia. The exhumation is due to happen soon. All the documents are in order. She is almost afraid of the final day because she has been waiting for it so long. She is full of anxiety and fear. She wants her dad to rest in peace with a cremation and a proper burial. It’s the hardest day and best day of her life, at the same time. It’s been eating her up, all the anxiety. Christina is scared for her, she may have a mental breakdown.

Christina goes to see her therapist and needs to catch up. She has good news about meeting with the designer and getting an internship. The therapist is impressed and calls it a huge accomplishment. She asks Christina about her friends. Christina says she has made up with Pia and feels like she has grown and come a long way. She feels she can do anything now. She can focus on the future and move on.

Nora consults with her lawyer

At Nora’s apartment the doorbell rings and it’s her dear friend, Julie, from Florida. She has come to be with Nora for the exhumation of her dad. Nora just wants to know the body is there and that an autopsy is going to be done. It will take three to four hours to bring up the casket from the ground. Only Nora can be there. The phone rings, it’s the cemetery and they say they can’t exhume the body because her brother didn’t sign the papers. She says 30 days have passed and legally they can move forward without his signature. She thinks this is an attempt by the government to stop the exhumation because they have something to hide.

Renee and Giana get together and immediately Renee tells her that her father called her. Renee is finding it hard because she doesn’t know how Giana will react. She tells her she didn’t let Ottavio get a word in. She says all she could think of was all the hurt he cause Giana and it made her snap. Giana says she understands to a point. She doesn’t think her father deserves to be in prison. Renee tells her that she did love him at one time and Giana deserves to have him in her life. Renee says it wasn’t all bad and she doesn’t want to fight with Giana any more. She promises not to bad mouth her father to her any more. Giana is happy about that.

Nora is tired of the cemetery giving her the run around. She gets a court order, with the help of her lawyer. This injunction allows the cemetery to proceed with the disinterment.

Pia and Renee are riding in a limo. Renee has rented a boat for the girls so they can hang out and chill. Leah and Christina are meeting them at the boat. Pia and Renee do not want to hear a word about Nora. Leah and Christina are hoping for fun and no drama. Leah tells Christina that she feels bad that Nora isn’t there with them. Christina tells her it’s the day of the exhumation. Leah says she would do the same thing as Nora. They both think it’s crazy, but hope she gets her answers.

The grave site is covered after body was removed

The morning of the disinterment has arrived. Nora is numb, but she has been waiting four years for the truth. She worries about what she will see and what the outcome will be. She gets there and see chains and locks on the cemetery gate. She’s upset, but all of a sudden the gates open. She goes to the gravesite to find an empty grave. The casket has been removed before she arrived. There is just a hole in the ground. She is upset that she didn’t see him go in and now she wasn’t there to see the casket come out. They told her the body was taken to the crematorium. Nora is worried they will cremate him before she can see him. She hears a siren from the car behind her. Before she arrives at the crematorium the police pull her car over for trespassing. They tell her she doesn’t belong there and handcuff her.

Luckily none of the mob wives were blown overboard!

Back at the boat, Pia and Renee go on board and Christina and Leah are not far behind. The drinks are being poured. They have all been through so much the past few months. Now they want to have a little fun. They are happy to see each other. The captain introduces himself. The water is very rough and it’s very windy. The ladies can barely stand up on the boat. In fact, the wind keeps blowing them down and they are all falling on each other. The alcohol doesn’t help either. Renee climbs up on a higher part of the boat and the others are screaming for her to get down. Leah says it always ends up being a screaming match with this crowd.

The viewing is about to take place

The police let Nora go. Nora is still upset that she didn’t see the casket come up. She arrives at the crematorium where they are going to open the box to see if the body is viewable. The funeral director tells Nora she can’t see him, he is decomposed and it’s not healthy. He tells her his condition is too bad and that all the parts of his face are gone. He tells her to trust him, but Nora doesn’t trust anyone. He says there is enough tissue to do a DNA test. A pathologist comes to examine the body and to try to identify him from pictures.

Back at the boat all the ladies are getting along and laughing about how much they learned about each other. They got through it all and came out as friends. “How bout that!” says Christina. They actually missed each other. Leah decides to say what’s on her mind. She says she hopes one day Pia and Renee will be civil to Nora. Pia and Renee are stunned and say she is beating a dead horse. Leah wants peace and for everyone to get along. Then Christina tells them this is the day of the exhumation. Pia and Renee do not comment.

Dental records give Nora closure and truth

The pathologist arrives hoping to make a positive identification of the body from photos. He says it doesn’t look like “The German” because he is so thin and had lost a lot of weight. He says he will take some samples of DNA to test, to get to the truth. They have to hold off on the cremation for a couple of weeks until the results come back. They can’t cremate him without a positive ID. Nora can’t wait. She insists on viewing the body herself to try to identify her father. But, she soon says she doesn’t know, he is too skinny. She will not have closure until the DNA results are in. The show ends…but the results are in. They are written on the last screen for us to see. The DNA tests came back INCONCLUSIVE. However, the dental records confirm that it is indeed “The German” who was in the casket.

MY TWO CENTS

The end of season one came too soon for me. It took a good five or six episodes for me to get the know all the women in the cast. Now it’s over. They all started out on a level playing field, as far as my opinion goes. But, opinions change and get shaped over time, with each passing episode. It can’t be helped. Like all viewers, I can relate to some women more than others. After watching all of season one, I can say that the two mob wives who were most consistent to me were Pia and Leah. Nora is a little too complicated to get a good take on. Renee and Christina well, my blogs speak for themselves. Let’s get into the finale…and my final thoughts, until the reunion!

Renee is most concerned about Giana being hurt by her father. She even cursed me out on Twitter and called me a “dumbass” for writing a blog about her baby daddy, Ottavio Volpe. This is my rebuttal. Renee chose to procreate with Ottavio. Renee chose to allow the storyline and her daughter to be aired on national television. Renee is the one who bad mouthed him time and time again. The way I see it, both she and her baby daddy hurt Giana, not me. She was offended that I did a blog on him to provide readers with the details of his crime, as reported in U.S Court of Appeals documents? I have done factual blogs on all the fathers and husbands of all the wives and children of the cast, because there is great interest in the men behind these women. He was just the last one on the list. Renee’s twitter account says, “If you can’t handle the truth then stay the f*** home.” Maybe that’s what Renee and Giana should do, if there is a season two? Either that or bring on the truth! The truth about her uncle and her baby daddy to start with.

Christina is thrilled to be an intern for two days a week with a designer. Interns don’t normally get paid, they are there to learn. However, that interview was a dismal failure. No resume, she was unprepared to answer questions of any kind. Still she was “hired.” Why do you think that is? I think maybe it’s because the designer, Anastasia, is getting some free publicity from the show. Is Christina really working there now, or was that all for our benefit, so we can see she has made some progress? Her storyline is weak at best. Here’s an idea or two for season two. Let’s get Christina a professional resume. How bout that? Let’s send her back to college for a couple of refresher courses in designing. How bout that? Let’s let her design a few pieces to take with her as samples of her work. How bout that? Maybe she could watch project runway and learn the names of current designers, like Alex Perry. How bout that? Other than that, what else can she contribute?

Nora got her closure. That made me happy. Now that she has put her father to rest, she can move on. However, there was too much chaos involved in the whole disinterment process and especially what was aired last night. I thought the editing could have been better. Too many details needed to be shown. In a previous episode I swore the Nora was told they had all the signatures of her siblings, and last night they state that the brother never signed. I was a little confused. And, when did Nora bring the cemetery the injunction issued by the court, because they already had the grave opened and casket removed? Why would they do that without her being present? I guess it’s because it would have had to be a two hour episode all about Nora.  But, I am glad she got her answers and now has closure. This was a ground breaking event, not just at the cemetery, but for reality television. Jennifer Graziano, executive producer and creator, is to be commended for dealing with real issues and showing another situation that has never been done before on reality television, again!

Pia is still upset with Nora. I don’t blame her. The argument is still fresh on her mind. She tried talking to Nora and couldn’t get a word in. What more can she do? I find Pia is making the most of the opportunities being provided to her as a cast member. The photos from her shoot turned out great. Her agent, Deana Morales, is getting her plenty of exposure and lucrative assignments. Most recently she signed on to represent Cold Steel Vodka. I find Pia to be a positive force on the show. She took a lot of verbal abuse from Nora before standing up for herself. She also was able to put aside her differences with Renee, who as Nora pointed out, said her fair share of ugly things to Pia. She patched things up with Leah right away. And she even got over Christina pulling her hair out. It takes a pretty big person to get past those things. So what if she isn’t ready to forgive and forget with Nora right now? Nora hit her with the lowest blows and is impossible to talk to.

And Leah. My heart goes out to Leah. Her mom being diagnosed with breast cancer, just as she was starting to film the show, had to take it’s toll on her. I didn’t see her getting too much support from the other wives either. They were all wrapped up in their petty arguments. I know what it is to watch a parent get weak and sick from chemotherapy. I’ve seen the pain. I know how it feels to watch them get thinner and thinner until they die from cancer. It changes you. It’s sickens you. It saddens you. It’s all you can think about. Where was her support? Pia was the only one who met with Leah and her mom so she could help them from the benefit of her own experience. Maybe there should have been more compassion for Leah filmed? So many of us have been down her road and can relate to what she is going through. I don’t think Leah had the energy to fight or put up with all their BS, because she was emotionally drained with her own, real, personal crisis.

So that’s my take on the finale and season one. I am hoping for word on season two. I would like to see more of these ladies. I love to blog about them. The good and the bad. Let’s all write to VH1, let’s tweet them too and demand a season two! They could and should add a couple of more wives to spice things up! What did you think? Let me know.

Mob Wives Chicago: Jenn Talks About Finale!

What's brewing in the Windy City?

Loyal readers know I have written about Jennifer Graziano before. The woman is an enigma to me. I'm fascinated about what goes on in her mind 24/7. When you meet her, her demeanor is a little on the serious side. She takes her business very seriously. At the same time, you can get the sense she is studying you to figure out who you are and what are your intentions. So, believe me when I say that it's not easy to get any information out of her at all. If the Omerta code of silence still exists, it's deeply instilled in Jennifer.

Jennifer seems calm and reserved on the surface, which makes my brief conversation with her very surprising. I happened to call her one day while she was at the filming of the Mob Wives Chicago Finale. She only had a minute, but it was the first time I had actually heard Jennifer so excited. She tells me she is at the finale of Mob Wives Chicago and, "It's on FIRE!" That's a direct quote. I press her for details, hoping she will leak something in her excitement, but all she will say is, "We are once again making reality TV history!" That sounds pretty powerful coming from Jennifer Graziano herself, who was there to see it all happen. She had to get back to the filming, so I couldn't get another thing out of her.

I know that some fans are saying that they are finding it a little hard to get into Mob Wives Chicago. It's a little difficult to get used to new women, new accents and a new city. But, it sounds like there is going to be a lot to look forward to coming up, and that's from Jennifer's own lips. I am going to stick it out and see what the rest of the season holds in store for us. How about you?
