Mob Wives: Is Renee Leaving Mob Wives?

Season 6 must be heating up because a couple of hours ago Renee Graziano tweeted out that she was leaving Mob Wives. Renee did not provide any clear reason or details as to what brought on the Twitter outburst, but see what you make of it based on what we know.  Here are the tweets

We have all been watching Renee for five seasons, or four years on and off the show. We know how emotional she can be, especially when she is hurt. Do I think Renee will finish out Season 6? Yes I do. Not only because she is under contract, but because Renee is not a quitter. It sounds to me like someone hurt her feelings and it is probably a cast member she is lashing out at.  Renee mentions breaking bread and "season 2" in her tweets. I don't want to put words in Renee's mouth or draw the wrong conclusion. However, we know there are seven women in season 6 and Renee seems to be fine with at least five of them. The only two I have not seen her take pictures with or tweet to are Drita and Big Ang. And who was it that was cast in the show during season 2? Just sayin'.  I could be off base and if so, forgive me. But it wouldn't be the first time there were hard feelings between old family friends due to lack of loyalty on the show. 

Hopefully, whatever happened today during filming will be worked out soon and the show will go on. I cannot imagine Mob Wives without Renee Graziano.

P.S. Shortly after this blog was published Renee removed her tweets. As we suspected, she was probably hurt, frustrated and betrayed. Karen also made an interesting tweet. Filming yesterday must have been a bit crazy! Check this out! Karen mentions old issues from Season 1 came up and she posted this picture with her tweets. Things are heating up!

P.S. It has come to our attention that Radar Online is reporting that the real Renee is leaving Mob Wives is due to poor health. You can read the entire story at Radar Online If this story is true we are very sorry to hear that Renee isn't feeling well and feels it necessary to leave or cut back on her appearances on the show. It's no secret that Renee is a favorite of ours and we want her to take good care of herself. She will be very much missed on the show.

UPDATE: Renee makes it clear she isn't leaving the show, maybe just taking a break from filming. Amen!

Mob Wives: Karen Says "Season 6 Best One Yet"

So what's been going on on Twitter the past few days?  I have been keeping tabs on the Mob Wives' Tweets and have a few little things to share. Drita has half of us blocked so maybe you missed this little tweet:

Karen and Jenn were out and about having a good time the past couple of days. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall for those conversations, especially after the first few drinks took effect! And who are these guys???

And what is especially interesting to me are the two new cast members/models, Marissa Jade and Brittany Fogarty. Jenn tweeted out their bikini clad sexy pictures the other day and something makes me think there is more to their business relationship than just Mob Wives. I did ask Jenn about that but of course there was no answer. She was probably busy.

And for fans looking to meet or connect with Mob Wives I have a couple of appearances you might be interested in. Renee will be hosting at the New You Beauty Bar in the Bronx on August 1st, 4 PM to 8 PM, so plan to be there!

And if you really missed Carla the past couple of seasons and want to meet her, this looks like the perfect occasion. Carla will be appearing at the Joker's Wild Comedy Club on Saturday, August 15th in New Haven, Connecticut. Carla is having a wine tasting followed by a comedy show. Mob Wives: Do Renee & Ang Remain Friends?

After watching Episode 6, and the whole hands on the Bible ceremony, it left me wondering just how long Karen's peace brokering would last. After all, some pretty ugly things were said by Renee and Ang, things that are not easily forgotten or forgiven. I think that scene was filmed back around September. We still have no idea what is going to happen in the next six episodes, but there is some good indication right now that the "peace" has lasted and Renee and Ang have gotten past their differences. During the show, both Ang and Renee tweeted public apologies. Their apologies seem sincere to me. Here are the tweets for those of you who do not follow along on Twitter:

Karen and Renee have every reason to be concerned as long as outsider, Gnat, keeps stirring the pot. What I don't get is Drita has said time and time again she doesn't like the things she is hearing about Gnat, and yet she is always defending her. Ang keeps saying she is going to talk to Gnat about this issue and that issue, but has never gotten as upset with her as she has with Renee. Drita and Ang still continue to hang out with Gnatalie. I'm confused. I hope common sense prevails in the second half of this season. P.S. I want to know when I can say "Bye, Felicia" to the Gnat?

Mob Wives: Karen & Renee Talk Season 5 on OK!

Karen and Renee discuss friendship and what it's all about on season 5. Right now all Karen knows is she and Renee are friends. Karen discusses how she "met" GNATalie for the first time on social media. But, she says, after meeting her in person she found her irrelevant. Karen says Gnat saw her for the first time, gets dramatic and runs out. Renee says she is able to deal with the ignorance that comes out of Natalie's mouth, somehow. Renee wishes someone had educated her a little bit more on everything . . . well that's asking a lot Renee. And Karen adds she wanted to fight her verbally, but how do you argue with an ignorant person? The worst of it for Karen is that Gnat goes after her family, people that she loves, and her nature is to attack back and protect them. Neither of them wanted to say a word about "poor, poor, pitiful me," Alicia.

I had to tune in this morning to PIX 11 to hear what my favorite Mob Wives, Karen and Renee, had to say about season 5. Like the die-hard fan I am, I cannot wait till the premiere of season 5 this Wednesday at 9 PM. Inquiring minds need to know what is going to happen! So, did Karen and Renee drop any blog worthy news today?

Renee explains how certain words can fuel a fire when you are a Mob Wife. She was , of course, talking about the word "Rat" which will be coming up a lot. Karen says she missed being on the show for season 4 and she missed Renee, but it's was good to be away from it too. Renee says a lot of drama revolves around her because she tells the truth and people don't like it. Karen likes having Victoria Gotti because she has real history, unlike those Philly chicks. Renee has no comment. However, Renee adds, interestingly enough, she is the one who has the conversation with Victoria Gotti. Then they played a little game and the answers are Renee is the cook, Ang is the biggest shopper, Drita has the hottest temper.

Well, there was nothing really new dropped, but Renee and Karen looked absolutely fantastic!

After the show, Renee and Karen were dropping meatballs off a truck in New York City and greeting fans!

Mob Wives: Season 5 PREMIERE Sneak Peek

In this first sneak peek of season 5, Renee is packing and she has a lot to say about the cast, all uncensored. Renee is not speaking to any of the girls and says she has been stressed out all summer. Last time she talked to Drita she wanted to crack Renee's head for talking to Karen. That relationship took a hit. Renee says even Natalie, who she brought into the group and gave her a job, betrayed her and turned her own friends against her. And Ang, who has been in Renee's life for 20 years and is supposed to be family, is giving Renee the cold shoulder. They say "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" but Renee is walking away from everybody. She doesn't know who is her friend and who is her enemy. I think she does.

Mob Wives: Renee Sees Real Betrayal

". . . and Natalie, what can I say, she's f*cking trash."

Renee definitely looks a lot happier this season. Why? She has Karen, who she can trust with anything and knows she is 100% loyal. Last season Renee had no one to turn to. Renee says she sees betrayal in the other girls, and that includes Big Ang. I'm not surprised. I always saw it. "Switzerland" was never neutral. Drita was always a flip flopper. And I have to agree with Renee when she says Natalie is trash. No one mentions Alicia, but I'll bet she shows up at some point. Things are starting to heat up. Stay tuned for the real "Supertrailer" Monday, November 24th.

Mob Wives: Renee Responds to Drita’s Reunion Attack!

In yet another candid interview with Global Grind, Renee Graziano finally expresses her thoughts about the way Drita attacked her at the Season 4 Reunion Show. I have been waiting to hear Renee’s point of view, which is similar to mine. She doesn’t understand why Drita went back to complain about events that occurred during season one and two. On top of that, Renee and Drita were never really “at odds” and Renee feels she has always had Drita’s back. Why Drita threatened to crack her head is a mystery to Renee, who is not a fighter. Renee is done. She does not consider Drita a friend, just a co-worker. That being said, Renee is open to an apology, if Drita ever wants to explain why she came at her so aggressively.

As far as Natalie goes, there is no relationship at all. Her attack on Renee’s relapse was basically unforgivable. Natalie called Renee out on her addiction and yet she was one of the people “partying with her.”

As for Ang, she wishes she would have given her more support than she did with the other girls talking about her behind her back. Renee discusses what happened in Vegas and why.

Renee's new mantra seems to be "Don't speak my truths and expect me to hide your lies."

Rumors about Renee getting her own show? A couple of things are in the works, but there is very little revealed right now.

Mob Wives: Renee Interview Causes Twitter Beef?

It was brought to my attention that more than a few snarky tweets were out there by members of the Mob Wives cast recently. Apparently, Renee did an interview back on April 10th with Zach Sang and the gang, and some of the “ladies” have just gotten around to watching it. To say they were less than pleased with Renee’s blunt honesty is an understatement. Renee took this opportunity to answer questions concerning season four, the cast and her feelings about whether or not she would return to season 5. To properly get the impact of the tweets and to be clear about what is being referred to, you should watch the video first. For example, in the tweets it isn’t totally clear who Drita is pissed at for not having the name of her store, “Lady Boss,” roll off the tip of her tongue. But, if you watch the video, you can see that Renee has a bit of a memory lapse when she tries to come up with the name of Drita’s store. I didn’t think it was a big deal myself, but Drita’s claws came out over it. Here is the video:

I’ve watched the interview twice and I didn’t hear anything outrageous or untrue expressed by Renee to warrant these comments flying back and forth on Twitter. I’m sure others may have a different opinion, obviously the cast does. Now here are the tweets:

And there you have it. Is this a sneak peek into the drama of season 5? Drita certainly went ballistic at the reunion show of season 4 and blindsided Renee with a barrage of accusations going back to the first three seasons. We know now that Alicia has resigned and I cannot for the life of me see Natalie coming back . . . so now what? If I were the executive in charge of this production I would certainly do whatever it takes to bring back Karen Gravano. Hell, make her an offer she can't refuse! Let's get Mob Wives back on track with "real and reality!" Get rid of the loud mouth, vulgar, 80% naked SOUTH Philly funeral home cosmetician who makes up dead people and has no mob ties. And don't find another lying Philly wise gal who can't decide if she is guilty of embezzlement or not; who is forever crying over her ex-husband cheating but is also cheating on him herself with a married man; who claims poverty, but is decked out in jewelry from head to toe; who wants to pay back $20,000 even though the amount allegedly stolen was closer to three million. There are legitimate mob wives out there, so let's find a couple of them who are willing to be real and tell their stories.

Mob Wives: Renee & Jenn Answer Show Questions!

Another long interview, over an hour long to be exact, of the Graziano sisters by AfterBuzz TV focusing on the show. The first thing they do is tease Renee about the word "delicious!" Just when you think we are done with it, it rears it's ugly head again. But, Renee wields her little meat cleaver and implies she will use it! There is a big discussion about the word and Renee explains her point of view. So the interviewer wants to know why Renee wasn't bothered when Natalie sang her song at the book party. Renee says Natalie is a joke and Jenn adds by then Renee was over it and didn't want to cause a scene because it was her night. Renee explains there we things behind the scenes we didn't see that also added to the escalation of the issue.

So many topics were touched on in detail including: Renee's addiction and recovery, the jealousy of the Philly girls coming in season 4, production "amping up" the new girls to create drama, how Renee believes new production instigated a situation between her and Alicia, Renee's real feelings about Alicia, Alicia dragging her name into her business and false accusations, Renee's relationship with Eddie, their father Anthony Graziano, Junior and abuse, Drita's outburst on the Reunion and her theory about it, how she is hurt and disappointed in Drita, other shows and projects and so much more. When you have the time watch the interview, it's actually better than the show!

Mob Wives: Up Close & Personal with Lana, Renee and Jennifer Graziano

Monmouth, New Jersey Book Signing!

As blog "MobChef," I had the pleasure of chatting with Lana about her collaboration in the cookbook "How To Use a Meat Cleaver." Lana co-wrote the book with her two sisters, Renee and Jennifer. Lana, the elder of this thriving threesome, certainly has shared her passion for cooking in this book. She has owned and operated a few restaurants and she says she worked hands on and did everything herself. Lana's cooking style comes from her Italian roots and claims she is old-school. She is currently looking for a prime location to open a new restaurant with her sisters. Here are a few questions I asked:

Thanks for taking the time out to chat with me. It looks like “How To Use a Meat Cleaver” is getting a great response.  Congratulations.

Tell me, what region of Italy did your family come from, and are the recipes from there?

We came from Sicily, from the region known as Sciacca, pronounced "Shaka."

Who was the most influential person who taught you to cook?

That would be my grandmother Nora. I learned a lot from her at a young age.      

What motivated you to write a cookbook?

I wanted to take my love of cooking and share it with everyone.

I know Jennifer mentioned that you, being the older sister, cooked for her and Renee when they were younger. Did you teach them to cook?

Yes, when I was younger and I babysat my sisters, I would tell them to help with whatever meal I was making. As they got older they would often ask me how do you make this dish or that dish, and it went on from there.

If there’s one recipe everyone should try, which one would it be?

I have so many that I love, but I think the Sunday gravy fulfills everybody from the meatballs to the pasta.   

What did you find most challenging about writing the cookbook?

The most challenging thing was having to figure out how much of everything was needed when it came to ingredients because I do everything by eye and taste.

Who will "whack" that filet mignon?

What recipe is your personal favorite?

My stuffed filet mignon. I think it's because you can get really creative. Other than the breadcrumb mixture you can make it with mozzarella or without, you can add mushrooms or spinach, really it's to your personal liking and it will always be tasty. I promise. 

Tell me about how food has influenced your life.

I center food around my whole life. Everyday I think about what I'm gonna make and who is coming for dinner. I love company and family all getting together. 

As the most private of the Graziano sisters can you tell me something that the fans may not know about you?

I'm a very simple person, I love my family and friends, and really love to cook.

Jennifer mentioned you owned a few restaurants and the lines were out the door; I grew up in a restaurant so I am always curious about other experiences. Tell us about that...

I'm now looking into opening my next restaurant along with my sisters. That's something I would love to do again so my fans can come in, eat, and be merry.          

Is there anything you would like to add that we haven't discussed?

Something I would love to add is:  I'm so very proud of both of my sisters. Renee for her sharing herself with everyone whether it was good or bad because I know she has helped a lot of people out there. I would've to see more of her funny side, that's the side I Iove. I get the biggest kick out of her. And Jenn well I'm amazed at her how she has become this successful business woman and how much she has accomplished. I'm truly speechless.

"Meat" the Graziano sisters!

I got to attend the book signing in New Jersey on Thursday, February 6th, where the girls got one on one with the audience. Clearly they sat in sibling birth order. I say that because Lana was reserved while Renee proved her ownership of  being the middle-child. She brought her huge personality with her and is just as we see her on Mob Wives. Jennifer, who is usually quiet, sat and tried to make her points, but Renee usually ended her sentences. Jennifer says Renee aggravated her as a kid, but she found some ways to get back at her. For example, they treated their food as a test of loyalty. Jennifer hid a meatball for herself and Renee found it. While she attempted to eat it, Jennifer stabbed her. Well Renee says stabbed and Jennifer says "it was only a fork."  Another time, Jennifer got even smarted and took a spoon, heated it over a candle and burned Renee with it. They share such great memories of their childhood that came from sitting at the table eating.  These are the memories that stay with you. I asked Jenn which recipe from the book was hers and she said, the "stuffed artichokes." "Sure," Renee said, "everything is yours." We all had a laugh. Jenn said they are hers, she tweaked the recipe. The girls went on to talk about the inspiration that came from their grandmother, Nora. Learning the basics from their mom, Veronica, and they even talk about their father's cooking. Mom cooked the basics like meatloaf, mashed potatoes and stew, while dad jarred his own caponata and made gravy (yes, I said it) from tomatoes that he boiled. Very old school to say the least.

The group asked about the show whether or not it was staged. Jennifer answered by saying that the production talks to the girls, looks for things that will get the audience's attention, they clear the location and then whatever happens happens. Renee talked about her Mob Candy line and said it's doing excellent. They asked if Natalie was still the model for it, and the answer was flat out NO! Someone asked if we would be seeing any of the other Mob Wives again. Jenn said, Ramona, no; Carla & Love, no and Karen, well it's a possibility. I was especially interested in the last part of this comment and hoped that the possibility becomes a reality. Jennifer talked about a new business they are embarking on, The Graziano Macaroni Company, that will feature foods and wine.

The cookbook holds lots of old Italian recipes, some with a modern-day twist. The Graziano family is from Sicily, as is my family, so our styles are very similar. I will try some of these recipes and blog them.  I hope you all got your own copy so you can enjoy their style of cooking from their home to yours.

Mob Wives: Renee Is Back!

It's been months since season three of Mob Wives has ended. I didn't realize how much I missed  Renee until I watched the VH1 profile video. She looks and sounds great. Renee is definitely back! Before I get to the video, I want to let everyone know that Renee has launched her Mob Candy website (link above) where she has dresses, jewelry, T-shirts...and shoes to come soon...you know how particular Renee is about her shoes, so check it out.

Renee is doing well and moving on with her life. She tells us what her favorite scene is from the last three seasons...are you ready for it?  The fight on the rooftop. Not because Drita and Karen were fighting, but because they all ended up on the floor, with Renee in the middle, like the cream in an Oreo cookie. Renee loves New York and there is no way Philly can beat it...but she does give them credit for three things: Rocky, Rappers, and Benjamin Franklin. What can we expect from season 4? New fights, new friends, new drama and, of course, "plenty of new f*ckin' foes." She adds the "new blood" is bringing a whole new meaning to drama. Somehow, I get the feeling Renee is going to clash with the new wives, about what, I don't know. It should be interesting to see. One thing's for sure, for me, Renee is the cream of this season 4 crop!

It looks like Staten Island may not be feeling the new Philly ladies.  We all have to tune in season 4 of Mob Wives to see how all this unfolds.  December 5 is the night Mob Wives New Blood premieres.  I don’t know how I feel about this new Thursday night airing.  What’s your first impressions of the new Mob Wives?  We also have a new poll up so please vote!

A heartbreaking scene from episode sixRenee and AJ have a very touching session at the rehabilitation facility. Renee realizes how much she has been absent from AJ's life while she has been self-medicating and the thought of it is unbearable. AJ is the one person she loves more than life itself. But, AJ supports and comforts his mother and together they will conquer this disease and come out stronger on the other side.
