Mob Wives: Pumpkin Seeds, Really Renee, Pumpkin Seeds

The Truth About Pumpkin Seeds

Well Renee announces Junior is/has moved in to her house in episode 8. She claims it’s for AJ’s benefit, but the other women have their doubts. One reason that caused Renee to allow Junior to move in is that he went out and bought her David’s Pumpkin Seeds. Yes, pumpkin seeds!  Now my interest is peaked as to why Renee loves pumpkin seeds so much, almost as much as she loves Junior. Carla smirked at the pumpkin seeds comment, and Karen said, “Pumkin seeds, really Renee? Pumpkin seeds?”

Turns out pumpkin seeds are very nutritious. Who knew? How many of us have been carving pumpkins every Halloween and throwing out the seeds? Well Renee may be having the last laugh on us all. Pumpkin seeds are nothing to laugh at.

Pumpkin seeds are great for prostate health, especially for enlarged prostates.

Pumpkin seeds are good for helping the bladder work better.

They are a great natural anti-inflammatory, so you don’t need to take drugs.

They are a good source of L-tryptophan, which is a natural treatment to fight depression.

They are high in zinc! This is good protection from osteoporosis and preventing colds.

Some studies allege that pumpkin seeds may help prevent kidney stones.

In some parts of the world, pumpkin seeds are used to treat tapeworms and other parasites.

They are a great source of magnesium! A half cup of seeds has 92% of your daily requirement.

They contain certain compounds that help lower cholesterol.

They are a rich source of tryptophan, which is used by the body to make serotonin, which has a calming effect on the mind and for good sleep and as aide for insomnia.

Put them in pesto sauce instead of pine nuts, put them in meatloaf, salads and anywhere you can think of because they are very healthy.

They are also said to boost the libido and increase the sex drive.

*Baseball players eat them as an healthy alternative to chewing tobacco (for Linda)

So Karen, I think I can speak for Renee when I say, “Yes, pumpkin seeds Karen, pumpkin seeds!”

Mob Wives: Recap Ep108 Relapses, Rats and Raccoons

Junior went out and got her pumpkin seeds. Awww

Jenn Graziano tweeted that this was one of her favorite episodes, hours before Mob Wives aired. I was already looking forward to it since they did not air an episode last week. So here I sit, at the edge of my seat, wondering what is going to happen next and prepared to tell you every detail.

Ok well let me just say I was a little bit disappointed. Though I loved seeing our Mob wives again, the “sneak peak” was really the entire highlight of the show and we already saw it. It came near the end and there wasn’t much more to it. Ok here is your recap of episode 8...

Carla and Renee go out to dinner to catch up on their lives. They toast to friendship. Carla has moved past the argument and hair pulling and put it behind her. She asks Renee about dating. Renee says her therapist told her she isn’t ready to date. Renee says she is hung up on Junior, she would rather see him than a stranger. She claims she isn’t in love with him, but he is AJ’s father. She adds, she is all Junior has, he has no mother or father. Carla tells her she thinks that Renee goes overboard with Junior and she wants to see her happy. They have known each other since they were teenagers. Carla seemed to be sincere in her concern. Renee appreciates that Carla is speaking to her like a true friend.

At Karen’s apartment a call comes in from David Seabrook. Karen tells him how much she misses their daughter Karina, and he says Karina misses her too. Karen is happy that Karina is bonding with her father because he missed out on so much of her life while he was in prison. David is adjusting to dealing with society and taking care of his daughter, with help from Karen’s mother. He feels there is a lot of responsibility to being free. Karen says she was attracted to David because he was a street guy. Karen supports him, but she can no longer deal with prison life.

Joe Ferragamo is getting out in two weeks. Carla is getting ready for him to come home by doing a little shopping with her friend Etty. They are out buying sneakers for Joe and maybe some socks, but not before Carla picks out a nice pair for herself. She shares that Joe always bought her something when he went out to buy something for himself. He was “good that way.” Of course he was using money he scammed from senior citizens, but it’s all good.

Drita meets Karen for lunch as they start to rebuild their friendship. They talk about Joe coming home and Drita wishes it could be Lee. They talk about David and his being in jail so many years that it made it impossible for Karen to keep the relationship alive. Drita can relate to what she is saying about being alone. When the men are on prison the women are suffering because there is no one there for them. Drita enjoys being with Karen and sharing a few laughs.

Renee and friend Nikole visit Dr. Klapper’s office because Renee wants more work done; her ass is flat. They take 3D pictures of her from head to foot. Renee is horrified and devastated. Renee looks at the pictures with the doctor and tells him she wants everything done: boobs lifted, a waist, a tummy tuck, and take the fat from the tummy and add it to the ass. The doctor looks stunned. That’s too much surgery. He says she will need to lose weight for the best possible outcome. Renee agrees to do whatever is necessary to get her work done, but I don’t think she will visit a gym.

At Drita’s house, her cousin Sedia calls. Drita tells her about the raccoons in the back of her house. They made a big mess with the trash. Drita is disgusted. There are 6 big raccoons out there. Drita decides she is going to get a paint gun and shoot them in the ass. Personally I doubt that would keep them away permanently. She’ll just have raccoons with orange colored asses, if she hits them.

Back at Karen’s apartment her writing coach, Carmela, shows up. Karen tells her the book deal was announced in the New York Post and there has been some backlash in the media from it. The families, of the people her dad killed, are attacking her for what Sammy did. They blame her for his crimes, even though she was just a kid, just as if she herself committed them. She is getting negative comments, some of them personal like about her weight. Some say she is profiting off the death of their loved ones. She seems hurt. Carmela says she should acknowledge the victims’ families, but she is not accountable for what her father did. Karen turned out well, and the book is about her story, not her father’s.

Back at Drita’s house, Aleeya is telling her mom about school. She had a good day and her science project was good. Drita says she never told Aleeya that Lee wasn’t coming home soon. Aleeya asks about Lee’s first time in prison and Drita said he went away because of a “rat.” Aleeya asks, “what’s a rat?” Drita explains that it’s the person who tells on everyone else so they don’t get into trouble. They ruin everyone’s lives by telling. Aleeya says that Lee made good choices by not telling. Drita corrects her and says, no, if he made good choices he wouldn’t be in jail.

Renee and Karen meet for a bite to eat. Karen tells Renee not to get more surgery. Renee is still going to have it done. They look at some newspapers. Karen says that she is always being judged by what her father did. Renee supports Karen and her book. Renee feels Karen has always been loyal. Karen appreciates it.

Lee phones Drita. She tells him the raccoons are back and he laughs. The trash is everywhere. She tells him her plan to shoot them with a paint gun. He tells her that will make a big mess. She wishes he was home to help her. He asks about Aleeya and she tells him that Aleeya said she would rather that her father be in jail than be a rat.

Junior walks into Renee’s house. He doesn’t feel good and asks for chicken soup. Renee makes him some. Renee says that Junior is sending her mixed signals and she is confused. AJ comes home. AJ doesn’t like that his mom and dad are spending so much time together. He has probably seen his mother hurt many times over the years. He tells his father he is going to hang out with a girl. Renee says he is too young to have a girlfriend. Junior has to talk to AJ about his going to jail. He tells him he will take him to go get his car and make sure he has everything he needs while he is away. Junior tells him he can come visit him with the car. Aj smiles and says, “Of course.” Junior likes the soup.

Carla goes to Drita’s house to help her with the raccoons. Drita has a huge paint gun, and she gives Carla a flashlight and tells her to watch her back. They go outside. There is a raccoon on the trash can. Drita shoots and misses. Orange paint is on the can. They go back inside and talk about how hard it is being a single mom and how they really need to have guns to protect themselves.

At Renee’s house the drama finally starts. Her friend Nikole is on the phone and Renee pours her heart out about Junior. She tells her that Junior stayed over, but it was not physical. They did sleep together in the same bed and the wedding album came out. They told each other they love each other. Renee is very emotional, she is willing to put everything in the past aside to put her family back together. She is falling in love with Junior all over again and it’s affecting her badly today. She forgives him for everything, She loves him. She can’t move on because she doesn’t feel like it’s over.

Carla is on the beach with Joe and Carmen, the twins. She tells them that daddy is coming home in 11 days. The kids are excited, they are doing a calendar countdown. They still don’t know he was in prison. Joe needs to tell them. They are going to get lots of hugs and kisses from their dad. Carla just wants them to know about his prison time and to hear it from their father.

The four mob wives go to brunch. They no sooner sit down when Renee has an announcement. She is allowing Junior to move back in with her until he goes to prison so he can spend his remaining days with AJ. None of them thinks this is a good idea. They all know she still loves him. She tells them one night , when he was tipsy, he went out to buy her pumpkin seeds. Everyone is like “so what, big deal about pumpkin seeds?” But Renee explains the significance of the pumpkin seeds. The seeds mean he is sorry. The seeds are something he remembered from an early time in their relationship, something she liked. He has been telling her he loves her and other things. She slips in that they “slept” together and that he has already been staying there. The others all flip out. None of them believes this is about AJ. Renee wants her family back. Renee says Junior is trying, he made breakfast and says he doesn’t want to be with anyone else. They are angry for all the hell he put her through and then, when he is in trouble, that’s when he comes back. That’s why she can’t get over him.

Karen says people come back when they are in trouble, and she understand why Renee wants him back. Carla says, what’s wrong with her trying? The others say she will get hurt again. Renee says, she is standing by Junior, she loves him, she is loyal and she really doesn’t care what anyone else has to say.

Ok now I’ll have my say. Not much happened this episode. We were already shown the “piece de resistance” in a clip and there wasn’t much more to it. While I enjoyed watching all four of them again, this episode was a let down for me.

Basically, Karen needs to accept the fact that she is living in her father’s shadow. As long as she bears the name Gravano and writes books and appears on television programs promoting the mob, she is going to be paying for his sins and hers. The public is not kind to anyone. What she needs to realize is that it really doesn’t matter what strangers think or feel about her. She doesn’t answer to them, she has to answer to herself, to her daughter, to her family and maybe friends. She has to be able to look herself in the mirror and be happy with who she sees. The timing of her book is a perfect way to capitalize on her new found fame. Once the story is out and people realize it’s her story, not Sammy’s, maybe they will quiet down.

I still feel Carla should have told the twins their father was in prison once she agreed to do the show. How she managed to keep it from them this long is amazing. I wouldn’t have taken that chance. I would have worried that somehow they would have learned the truth from someone else. Anyway, they will know soon enough, if they don’t already.

Drita’s raccoons were funny. It would have been great had she really hit one. They seemed to have given up their hunt very quickly. I don’t think it was too wise to try and attack wild animals. They carry many diseases and they can be vicious. I would have called a professional exterminator who specializes in “varmints” of this type. See what they have to say about keeping them away. Maybe metal garbage cans or bins, that they can’t break into, might work. Then they can go and chew on her neighbor’s garbage.

As for Renee, my heart goes out to her. She will not admit that she is still in love with Junior. All she will say is that she loves him and he is AJ’s father. She is in denial. Junior takes advantage of her feelings, that is how it comes across. He knows he can always go back and she will take him in no matter what he has done. And, as long as she maintains close contact with him and keeps her hopes alive, she will never be able to move on. Someone has to make her see that the only way for her to move on is to really break off ties, unless there is an issue with AJ, and little by little, over time, she may get over her feelings. She says she is loyal to Junior, but loyalty is a two way street. You have to earn loyalty and respect. We don’t know everything that happened in their relationship, but those are the things Renee needs to consider, especially while Junior is away.

P.S. Renee is too young for all that surgery. That kind of work doesn’t last forever and over time she may end of looking worse than had she waited till later or not had it done at all. As great as her doctor is, no one can assure her of the outcome or how long the results will last. Please think about that Renee. All you really need is a decent diet and to walk 30 to 60 minutes a day. Get a treadmill at home and watch Mob Wives while you walk. If you do that for two to three months, you won’t need surgery and you can use that money to take a cruise and meet Mr. Right!

Mob Wives: Renee’s Recipes for Sunday Dinner

Sunday Sauce OR Gravy

The traditional Sunday dinner in most Italian households is pasta and meatballs covered with tomato sauce. And, if you don’t already have your own recipe, or even if you do, you just might want to try Renee’s recipes for tomato sauce and meatballs. Karen Pickus collaborated with Renee in writing these recipes for Good Morning America. I am guessing that Renee pretty much does everything “by eye” and “feel” and doesn’t technically measure anything when she cooks. So in order to pass them along, someone had to interpret the amounts of the ingredients into concrete measurements we can follow.

Tomato Sauce alla Renee Graziano
Difficulty: Easy
Cooking Time: 60-120 minutes

Ingredients
2 Tbs. olive oil
2 cups chopped onion
2 Tbs. minced fresh garlic
¼ cup minced parsley
3 sprigs fresh thyme
3 sprigs fresh oregano
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. ground black pepper
1- 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
3- 28 oz. cans whole peeled tomato
1-6 oz. can tomato paste

Cooking Directions
In a 6 quart pot over medium flame, heat the olive oil. Add the onion, garlic and herbs. Saute' over medium high heat for 2-3 minutes until onion is translucent but not brown. Add the salt and pepper and all of the tomato product. Simmer for 15 minutes then add the meatballs. Simmer 1 ½-2 hours. If using without the meatballs simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour. Remove herb stems and serve.

Renee Graziano’s Meatballs
Difficulty: Easy
Cooking Time: 60-120 minutes

Ingredients
1 LB. ground beef chuck
1 LB. ground pork
1 LB. ground veal
5 slices white bread
1cup whole milk
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 Tbs. minced fresh garlic
2 tsp salt
1½ tsps. freshly ground black pepper
3 eggs
1/2 cup olive oil for frying

Cooking Directions
Combine all of the meat in a large bowl. Soak the bread and milk together in a separate bowl. When the milk is absorbed, add the bread mixture to the meat. Add the remaining ingredients except the olive oil. Mix well.

Roll into balls 1 ½ - 2 inch round. Heat the olive oil in a 10 inch frying pan.

Fry over medium heat about 10- 12 meatballs at a time until nicely browned. Place in the sauce. Repeat as many times as necessary until all of the meatballs are browned.

Simmer uncovered on low heat until meatballs are fully cooked and the sauce mellows, about 1-1/2 hours. Remove the herb sprigs and serve.

This recipe was styled and developed by chef Karen Pickus for Good Morning America.

There is nothing like homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs! These are two delicious recipes that go together. I have tried them and they are far superior to anything you order in any restaurant. A big thanks to Renee for sharing her own family recipes with all of us.

I would like to suggest that Renee write a book of authentic Italian recipes, either recipes that are all hers or a collaboration of “Mob Wives” recipes (on and off the show). Who would not run out and pick up a Mob Wives Cookbook? And another suggestion that could be incorporated into the book is, along with the recipe on one side of the page, the other side of the page could tell a family story or memory of a special event or holiday. I’ll bet it would sell like hot cakes!

Mob Wives: Renee Graziano Interview With Cherry Martinez

Part 6: The Priest Story!

This 6 part radio interview, on Cherryontopdotcom, with Renee took place on May 9 to May 11, and I found Renee to be playful, charming, engaging, funny, entertaining AND all with no cursing. The interviewer, Cherry, had known Renee before the show and they had a great rapport. It was relaxed and easy going and I really enjoyed it. There is maybe 40 to 45 minutes of viewing from the 6 parts, that you can watch at various times, that touch on different subjects in Renee’s life. Let’s get down to business!

Part 1: Renee brings Cherry a gift of earrings from “Rich Rocks,” a company that makes fake jewelry and Renee loves it. At this point we are only 3 episodes into the show. The subject of Jail Mail Inc comes up first. Renee explains that she has spent 25 years dealing with her loved ones being in jail. Her father has currently been in prison for 11.5 years and Junior is in and out, and due to go back. She plans to have Jail Mail Inc up and running by the end of the first season. Her website will send cards to inmates for you to loved ones, once you register. This is not about the money for Renee, in fact it’s very personal. She has written 8 to 10 thousand letters to inmates over the past 25 years. It’s all about supporting loved ones who look forward to their “mail call” and listen for their names. She knows first hand how important her own letters have been to her loved ones.

Part 2: AJ Pagan is the topic of this segment. When they went to Florida in April, AJ told Renee that she didn’t need sunglasses because she wouldn’t be recognized. No sooner they step off the elevator and take three steps they here “OMG, OMG! Are you AJ from Mob Wives?” The young girls recognize him and he is taken aback by it, but he is a very well grounded young man. He was never star struck as a child and Renee has always worked with famous people, but it has never affected him.

What was AJ’s reaction to Junior’s (Hector Pagan) Mob Bust. AJ seems very strong, but Renee always wants to know how he is feeling and keeps trying to get him to open up. AJ doesn’t react, he has to be strong, and he didn’t have a normal childhood. His father went away when he was four or five and he has known prison visits all his life. His father, Junior, has been in prison 6.5 years of his life. AJ credits Renee with teaching him how to be strong and she feels maybe she hasn’t given herself enough credit for being a good role model to him.

What are the misconceptions of prison life? Renee says that people should understand that everybody is a human being regardless of what they did. She doesn’t fault the government for doing their job and has no ill will towards prisoners, who were doing their jobs, maybe not the right jobs. But everyone is human, everyone has a heart. So stick together and support your loved ones.

Part 3: How did all the women meet? Renee credits her sister, Jenn Graziano, of JustJenn Productions, who is the Executive Producer and Creator of the show with it’s success and bringing together all the women. Renee has known Carla since she was 16 and met her when Carla was dating a friend of hers. Karen and Renee were friends since early childhood because of their fathers, but lost communication when Sammy turned informant and Renee was told never to speak to Karen again. Renee says she met Drita about 15 years ago. Karen and Drita are both long time best friends of Jenn and Renee is friends with Carla and that is how they all got together.

The Mob Bust was reported to be the largest in US History says Renee, and there ended up being 135 mobsters arrested. She describes Junior (Hector Pagan) as her ex-husband, her best friend, the person she likes fighting with the most, the one who protects her, the person she loved most. When the phone rang at 5am, she knew immediately what to do. She yells up to AJ to get dressed because they have to go to court. She refers to herself as pathetic because she continues to allow her ex-husband’s problems to become hers, but the reality is he is still her son’s father, and they are still there for each other. She claims she is not still in love with Junior, she loves him to death, but there is nothing romantic between them. But, they have never really severed all ties and moved on. Renee feels she needs to let go in order to have a healthy relationship with someone new.

Part 4: The popularity of the show! An estimated 2.2 people watched the show the first two weeks it aired. Why is that? Renee says the girl fight must be responsible and laughs. Cherry wants to know if it’s all “real.” Renee answers, the only thing fake about her is her nose. She gives 100%, there is no acting involved. So what does the future hold for Renee? Renee says she would love to “act.” because she has always been a drama queen. After the series ends she will go where God takes her. She is focused on Jail Mail Inc right now. She would also like to write a book. She is open to ideas. She is happy right now and the show is helping her find her identity.

How does her family feel about the show? Renee explains that her father, Anthony "T G" Graziano doesn’t speak to her now because of the show. After she made the decision to do the show he told her “you made your bed, sleep in it.” He told her he loves her and he would always love and protect her, but they could no longer talk to each other. He is not comfortable with her speaking so freely about her life. She respects that and her father. But, She says she needs to live her own life; her father lived his and he has her mother, they will be married 50 years, they’re good. This is about Renee, and not in a selfish way, Renee needs to know who she is. Her mother loves her.

What has she learned about herself from the show? Renee’s list is impressive, she learned: to stop whining, to depend on herself, not wait for a man to do things for her, she’s a better mother because she is giving AJ a better direction in life, she needs to diet because the cameras are abusing her by adding weight, she has learned to live and let live and not to take things so personally.

Part 5: How do the other women treat her? Renee replies that her sister, Jenn, treats them all the same, she does not get any kind of special treatment just because they are sisters. Jenn is a businesswoman and there is no playing around. In fact, she says that Jenn treats her much the same way AJ does, by telling her off when she needs it. The other women consider her to be emotional, overly sensitive and a drama queen. Renee says she didn’t choose to be a drama queen because she likes it---it’s due to the “life” and how she was raised. She said that Karen showing up at her door after the Mob Bust was “out of left field” and unexpected…just like when she showed up at Carla’s party.

How does Staten Island feel about Renee? What does she encounter at the supermarket, for example. She says she has been stopped everywhere she goes and so far, outside of two people, it’s been all positive. Renee doesn’t care if you love the show or hate it, as long as you watch it, she is good with it.

Does AJ have to deal with Renee “haters”? So far no, says Renee, but she prays it never happens because her son is off limits. She is not saying she is threatening, but he is an innocent child, he shouldn’t have to defend his mother. He lives his own life and if anyone decides to attack him in any way, they will be answering to her and his daddy too. There is no playing around when it comes to AJ.

Part 6:  Does AJ have groupies? If he does, he hasn’t told Renee, but there are a lot of young girls following him and he gets recognized everywhere. Renee says he is so, so humble and she goes to him with everything she can. He is in public school now, but he was in a private school. Here’s a little story Renee enjoyed telling and I enjoyed hearing…for me, best part of the interview! AJ went to Catholic school and he hadn’t made his Confirmation yet. So the priest called him “pagan” instead of Pagan. AJ corrected him, and said it’s “Pagan.” The priest says it’s “pagan” until you make your Confirmation. (Uh oh!) Well, Renee paid the priest a little visit. She knocks on his door and yells, “No, it’s GRAZIANO! Got that!?!   I’m not playing with my son.” She tells him not to call him “pagan” because AJ believes in God and that a foul thing to do. The priest said he hadn’t meant anything except that AJ hadn’t made Confirmation. She answered, not making Confirmation is one thing, but calling “pagan” in front of everybody at school? And then she removed him from the school (and converted me into her fan). She said nothing bothers AJ, but this bothered him. Renee tells the story better than I do, you must have a listen!

Her advice for women with men in the mob? She sings, “Stand By Your Man.” that’s her advice. If you love, him stick it out. If you have children who want their father in their life, stick it out. But if you don’t love the guy set him free and move on and set yourself free too.

There are a few more little tidbits here are there, in the interview. Renee does a great job and I am so glad I finally had the time to watch it. This week I am on “Team Renee!”

Mob Wives: Victoria Gotti Sr. - A Mob Wife With Class, Part 1

Victoria Gotti, Sr. is the widow of the late John Gotti, Sr. aka the Teflon Don. She was interviewed by CBS in October, 2006. I thought it would be interesting to hear the perspective of another mob wife, the wife of the Gambino crime family Boss. I was quite surprised by the video to be honest. After watching several episodes of Mob Wives and recalling the show “Growing Up Gotti,” this mob wife is definitely a refreshing change. Soft spoken, and without the use of a single profanity, she answers questions about her family in a sincere and honest manner.

When she is referred to as a mob wife, she shakes her head no. She was not a mob wife, she was “a wife, a mother, an artist.” They discuss her son’s, John Gotti, Jr’s, mistrial. When she got the call she said she cried. Having him home again meant everything to the family. She says they are a normal family. She worries that her son is “hunted prey” and that every time he leaves might be the last time she sees him. She explains that her children were brought up in a very strict home and that she is old fashioned in many ways. Her kids were punished when they did something wrong.

She will be the first to admit that her son made a lot of mistakes and he paid the price, he went to jail for seven years. But he is finished with the mob and she knows in her heart he is done. She says that the lifestyle beat him up emotionally, physically, mentally and he is gray in his early forties. The mansions people talk about are heavily mortgaged. She admits he has an income from wise investments he made, but doesn’t reveal where the money came from. And, she says, her son is an amazing father.

Victoria Gotti says she was a street kid. She had it hard, her parents separated, but it help to toughen her up for the future. She wishes she had the kind of father her son is to his kids. Her husband loved her, protected her and respected her. He would go out all day and take care of his business, but when he came home at night he left all that behind him and he never discussed it at home.

She raised her children a certain way, her daughters were raised to be ladies. Then she starts to choke back tears of anger. She says a “liar” in court said her daughter was discussing mob business with her son -- it never happened, says Mrs. Gotti. Her daughter is willing to take a lie detector test and let the person who lied do the same. It’s just an insult to her daughter to accuse her of talking mob business with her brother. She is very protective of her children.

She talks about how her husband, John, would come home for dinner and while he was eating she would look at the newspaper and then look at him and ask, “Johnny, should I be afraid of you?” and he would just laugh. He didn’t talk about the mob and she wasn’t interested in hearing anything. But some time later they would be at odds because she never wanted her son to be in the mob. She thought her husband felt the same way.

John Jr. would get into trouble over the years, she says, but she would discipline him and if her husband was around she would get between the two of them because her husband would go crazy. She insisted on doing all the discipline herself because her husband was out most of the time. She told him this was her job and if she needed his help she would ask him. And she recalls that many times her husband John would tell her that he could see that his son wanted to be in the mob and “it wasn’t gonna happen.” So, later on, when she picked up a newspaper and saw that her son was a marked man, that there was a contract out on him, she was totally blindsided. Her whole world shattered, she was stunned, she couldn’t concentrate, she was in a constant state of disbelief. She went to see her husband, who really didn’t answer her questions, but adamantly denied that any harm would come to their son.  Part 1 is about 9 minutes long.

What's your take on the widow of the Teflon Don?  Does she remind you of the Mob Wives we watch every Sunday on VH-1 8pm/ 7pm Central?

Mob Wives: True To Their Zodiac Signs?

So we have watched 7 episodes of VH-1’s Mob Wives and gotten an earful and an eyeful of their personalities. I thought it might be fun to look at their astrological signs and see if they fit their character traits or not.

Renee is Cancer, I heard that on the Cherry Martinez radio interview, though her birthday is no where to be found.

Carla’s birthday is January 14th which makes her a Capricorn.

Drita’s birthday is February 6th which makes her an Aquarius.

Karen’s birthday is May 8th which makes her a Taurus (or a “Bull” like her father).

**********

First let’s look at the personality traits of the sign Cancer:

Positive Traits:

Emotional and loving
Intuitive and imaginative
Shrewd and cautious
Protective and sympathetic

Negative Traits:
Changeable and moody
Overemotional and touchy
Clinging and unable to let go

Renee fits quite a few of these personality traits. She is without a doubt emotional, she cries at the drop of a hat. For example, when AJ saw the tweet and heard the call from Carla’s boyfriend she went off the deep end. She cried and carried on to epic proportions, “He’s my son, Carla, he’s my son!” Now I am sure that AJ has heard plenty in his lifetime and a little more wasn’t going to send him over the edge. She gets angry when she feels she is being disrespected, which is all the time. Carla’s boyfriend disrespected her, Drita and Carla disrespected her by not showing up after the Mob Bust and they lied to her about Karen coming to Carla’s party.

She is loving. She cares about people, especially family and friends, and most of all she loves AJ. Frankly, I think her Jail Mail Inc. was a very imaginative idea. And her intuition kicked in when AJ walked in with his report card, she almost smelled it in his backpack. She is very cautious and shrewd about how much she reveals about the mob and has certain “quotes” down pat, for any time someone asks about the mob or her father. ”What mob?” or “The Feds say my father was allegedly a high ranking member of a crime family.” Renee is very protective of the people she loves. I pity the girl who marries AJ and doesn’t treat him like a king. And she totally took charge when Junior was arrested. She got the information for the lawyer and was worried sick about him…and yes, she cried.

Is she changeable and moody? I would say yes. It takes very little to set her off. She can be calm one minute and go ballistic the next, depending on what someone says. Overemotional and touchy? Just all the time. I get the impression you have to chose you words carefully when talking to Renee because she is listening with razor sharp ears to every word. If something hits her the wrong way, watch out. Now for clingy and unable to let go, I have two words to say: AJ and Junior. If we had a dollar for every time Renee said she needed to “let go” of Junior we could hire writers to do this blog for us.

Capricorn

Positive Traits:

Practical and prudent
Ambitious and disciplined
Patient and careful
Humorous and reserved

Negative Traits:
Pessimistic and fatalistic
Miserly and grudging
Over conventional and rigid

I’m just not seeing Carla fitting this personality 100%, nope not feeling it. Is she practical? Not so much when it comes to spending money. But maybe Joe left her a nice big stash of cash? I can see her being ambitious. She no sooner got on the show and she is out there “creating” her own clothing line. I put “creating” in quotation marks because I have never seen a sketch pad in her hands. But, she is going to exploit this Mob Wives fame for all it’s worth, and try to get this enterprise off the ground. Is she patient? Not with her kids. She doesn’t seem to want to be bothered and can’t wait for Joe to come home and take over raising her son. As for her daughter, the poor thing asked for a utensil at dinner and she snapped at her to get it herself. When Renee and Karen had the blowout at Carla’s party, Carla was the one that kept harping on the fact that they needed to resolve it. Even though, she created the mess by inviting Karen and not telling Renee, that wasn’t too bright or careful. Then, she was annoyingly impatient for them to get past it. I really don’t find her humorous, and as for reserved, that’s also debatable.

On the other hand, as biased as I am towards Carla, I do not see her fitting the negative traits either, and Lord knows I tried. She isn’t too pessimistic and in fact she seems to have everything optimistically under control. Her husband hasn’t even gotten out of jail yet and she has already moved on with someone else for over a year. She is looking out for her future, in business and in her love life, and she says she is happy with the boyfriend. Is she miserly? I don’t see it if she is. She spends money like it’s water. She tweeted about a few pairs of shoes she bought one day and I don‘t think she was at Payless. She doesn’t seem to hold grudges either. After her big fight with Renee, she said she was ready to put it behind her and move on. If someone grabbed a fist of my hair and threw me to the ground, you can bet I would be holding a grudge…maybe till hell froze over. Over conventional and rigid is not how I would describe Carla either. She doesn’t think of stock fraud as a crime, most people would, especially when senior citizens have been swindled out of their life savings. She met Joe at a stock firm and both of them got fired, which raises suspicions as to whether she participated in any fraud herself and to what degree. When it comes to crime, Carla seems pretty flexible to me.

Aquarius

Positive Traits:

Friendly and humanitarian
Honest and loyal
Original and inventive
Independent and intellectual

Negative trait:
Intractable and contrary
Perverse and unpredictable
Unemotional and detached

Drita is a good representative of her sign in some ways. Yes, she is friendly. I even saw the softer side of her with her kids, when Karen cried, and after she made up with Lee. I give her points for being honest and loyal too. I don’t think it was her intention to be disloyal to Karen at all about the whole Lee issue. She just did not see it the same way as Karen. I think she is an “original” even among the Mob Wives, she stands out. She has a creative side as a makeup artist, as we have seen her transform Lara Spencer into a “mobbed” up version of herself. Her idea to “kill the picture” with Karen was an original way to bury the hatchet between them. She is independent and has had to be, because Lee has been away 10 out of 12 years of their marriage. I do not see her an intellectual at all, sorry.

She can appear to be stubborn at times, but I don’t find her contradictory. She says what she means and means what she says. She has been pretty consistent, except for one thing, whether she should stay with Lee and wait or not. I do think deep down she wants to wait and keep her family together, but when she is angry and frustrated she thinks of moving on. I don’t find her to be perverse, in fact when she was discussing her sexy pictures with Lee she was concerned the guards might see them. I don’t see her as unpredictable either. I think if you know Drita, you know how she is going to react in a given situation or if provoked. Just don’t provoke her. And, if you see her take off her shoes, run. Drita is anything but unemotional and detached. There is plenty of emotion going on inside her all the time and she can’t help but express it. If she was detached, many of the things that get under her skin would not.

Taurus

Positive Traits:

Patient and reliable
Warmhearted and loving
Persistent and determined
Placid and security loving

Negative Traits:
Jealous and possessive
Resentful and inflexible
Self-indulgent and greedy

Karen “the Bull” Gravano. Ironic that Karen was born under the sign of the Bull. Is Karen patient? Well she did wait all those years to talk to Drita about Lee. That’s a pretty long time to be upset about something. I can see her being warmhearted and loving from the way she speaks to her daughter and about her daughter, and even the way she spoke to Gerard (her brother) and David ( her ex-boyfriend) leads me to think she is family oriented. When she finally made it to Staten Island, she was pretty persistent and determined to get Drita to understand her position about Lee and their friendship. She tried bringing it up several times because she knew she wasn’t getting through to Drita. She seems like the calmest of the four women, even when all hell breaks out, you rarely see Karen reach her breaking point and lash out.

As for being jealous and possessive, well even though she says she has no feelings for Lee, maybe some of her issues lie in the fact that she didn’t want Drita to have him. She may not even be aware of these feelings, but they seem to be lying just beneath the surface whenever the conversation comes up. I think she is also a little resentful of Drita for dating Lee and she has stood her ground on this since the first show. I want to see what, if anything, comes up after they say it’s been resolved. Has Karen really put it behind her now? And Karen strikes me as the least self indulgent of the four women. Of course, she may not have the money the others have to spend, but she does okay for herself. I don’t see her as greedy, but as using the show as an opportunity to promote her book and increase sales so she build a better life for her daughter.

That’s my astrological take on the Mob Wives. Feel free to comment and express yours. And don’t forget to follow us on Twitter @ mobwives_blgspt. We will be posting when new blogs go up so you can read them hot off the presses!

Mob Wives: Recap Ep 107 Total Chaos

All hell breaks loose!

At Renee’s house the fighting continues! Renee claims she set up this dinner so they could discuss their issues calmly, but it’s anything but calm. Carla tells Renee she doesn’t want her boyfriend’s name coming out of her mouth any more. Then things get very physical, the lighting is dark and it’s hard to tell what is going on and who is hitting who. Karen describes it as “all madness broke out.” Renee continues to complain that AJ saw the texts and heard the boyfriend say foul things on the speakerphone. Karen thinks Drita looks like she is going to go after Renee so Karen steps in to protect Renee.

Drita has a revelation, “this is Carla and Renee’s fight” so maybe she shouldn’t get so involved. Karen yells at Renee to sit down. Renee believes Carla is screaming at her because she doesn’t want to hear the truth. Then Renee has a “light bulb moment” and says she never raises her hands to anyone, and is upset with herself. She can’t believe all of this fighting was over a guy! Renee says she was seriously concerned for Carla and she thinks she deserves the best. Carla feels Renee is wrong to make so much out of it, because Carla is the one who knows him. Carla feels she knows what kind of person he is and how she feels about him.

Karen takes it upon herself to explain Renee’s position. Renee keeps yelling so Karen yells at Renee to “SHUT UP!” Karen explains that Renee was trying to tell Carla, as a friend, her opinion and how she feels. That’s what a true friend does. Karen tells Renee to stop, because now it’s done. Renee is angry, but realizes she has to let it go.

Drita is annoyed because Renee has no business talking to Karen about her and Lee. Then Karen brings up the Lee situation and says it’s not about Lee it’s about her and Drita. Drita really wants this to be the last time they talk about this. Karen explains how she felt betrayed by Drita. Drita doesn’t see it as being disloyal because Lee and Karen were broken up; it’s not like she stole him away from her. Karen had already moved on with someone else and had a baby, so Drita felt it was over. Carla agrees with Drita. She says this happened over 13 years ago; Karen left with a kid and another man so why does she need Drita to apologize? Drita wants to know what Karen wants her to do about it now, because she can’t turn back time and change anything. Karen just wants her to admit what she did, it’s about loyalty and trust. She wants her to acknowledge she did something wrong.

Renee steps in to make it clearer for Drita. She says that Drita should tell her that she is sorry, you were my friend and I hurt you. Karen starts to cry and is upset. She tells Drita that she was hurt because they were good friends and she didn’t call her to tell her she was dating Lee. Drita feels bad to see Karen hurt and crying and says she is sorry, she would never hurt Karen on purpose or let anyone else hurt her. They hug. I think I speak for “everyone” when I say, I really hope this is the last we hear of Karen, Lee and Drita’s storyline. They have sucked all the drama out of it and given Karen another chapter to add to her book.

Renee says she is done with Carla’s boyfriend. She said what she needed to say and now it’s up to Carla. Really Renee? That’s good news for viewers, but is Carla’s boyfriend done? In yesterday’s blog, Carla’s Boyfriend “Speaks Out” Via Lisa Falsone?, a third party had posted “his” side of the story on Carla’s Facebook Fan Page, indicating he wanted the truth to come out. Check out that blog for all the details, it’s very interesting.

They all make up and have a glass of wine! They “fight hard but they love harder.” They toast to new beginnings and drink to family. I’ve got to hand it to these four women. After a screaming, knock down, hair pulling, fist fighting, down on the floor, shoes off brawl, they are able to toast to the future, even before you can say, “marinara sauce.” Come to think of it, what happened to dinner?

The next day at Carla’s house, Drita drops by. They both complain about how exhausted they are from the brawl the night before, and these are the “gymnasts!”. They didn’t even get a chance to eat. Oh well, more for Junior and AJ. Carla hates it when Renee gets in her face. Drita couldn’t believe that Karen had been carrying on and on for a simple “I’m sorry.” Still, she hated to see her hurting. They both have a nice little laugh over it.

Renee and Karen meet for lunch. Karen feels they all got their issues out. Renee adds, she doesn’t want Carla’s boyfriend to touch her. Then she reveals that Junior has been staying with her and spending time with AJ before he goes to prison, it’s nothing romantic. Karen tells Renee she needs to be careful with Junior in the house, they aren’t good for each other. Renee tells her she needs to date, but she is looking for the right man. Karen suggests she try online dating and look for a normal guy who hasn’t been in prison. I think Renee is still too attached to Junior to go looking for anyone, even after all these years, and I can’t even imagine who her “Mr. Right” might be.

Carla meets her friends Etta and Eleanor for dinner at Cebu Restaurant. They all used to work on Wall Street. Carla was a sales assistant at a stock firm and met Joe Ferragamo there. Interesting, no? Then one day he got fired and so did she! When they got married everyone thought they were the ideal couple, and perfect family. Now he is getting out of prison in two weeks after being locked up for 6 years. Carla is concerned that Joe may be in shock, he has no wife, no house, no family, no job. I guess Carla doesn’t subscribe to the “stand by your man” mob wife mentality? She’s been dating over a year so far as we know. I wonder when the marriage was “over” for her and why she hasn’t make it official?

At Renee’s house, Drita shows up and starts to help Renee with the online dating that Karen suggested. Drita helps her to fill out the questionnaire on the dating site. She wants a man with a good sense of humor and strong enough to withstand her drama. Can such a man even exist, I wonder? Then Renee says she is a “loser.” What can she say her hobbies are? She writes to men in prison and goes there for visits? She is not happy with the response to her profile. No sooner the profile is up and an “Antonio” contacts her in an instant message (IM). He wants to talk on the phone. He is too eager. Renee found it stressful and didn’t like it. She tells Drita to shut down the computer.

Karen goes to the airport to pick up her daughter Karina for a visit. The two really seem to have missed each other and were so happy to see each other. Karen remarks that Karina has grown and developed and says, “my baby is home.” I really think Karen and her daughter have a good mother-daughter relationship. It’s one of the few bright spots of the show.

Karen shares her memories of Staten Island with Karina

Back at Drita’s house, the sexy pictures for Lee arrive. She goes through them all and loves them. She did this to keep the “spark” alive in their marriage. She asks Giselle which picture she likes and Giselle answers, “ I like you naked.” Drita laughs, and tells her she isn’t naked, she is wearing a bathing suit. Of course, she wasn’t far from naked either. She mails them right out to Lee.

Carla and Drita go to lunch. Carla tells Drita that Joe will be coming home in a couple of weeks, after being away for 6 years. Joe has to go to a halfway house. Drita tells her that it’s in a bad area, they fire gunshots there in the afternoon. Drita has a fleeting thought about Lee getting out and how happy she would feel, but Carla and Joe won’t be together.

At Carla’s house there is a big dinner. Drita and Karen come over with their kids. Karen laments that the kids get cheated out of a relationship with their fathers in this lifestyle, because they are always away in jail. Jojo, Carla’s son, get spiteful and misbehaves. There are only girls at the dinner party. Carla feels that when Joe gets out of prison he will help Jojo behave better, that’s what she is looking forward to. I think she is looking for a babysitter so she can party and date, but that’s just my take on it.

Renee’s friend Nikole comes by for a visit and they discuss the online dating. Renee says she thinks they are all psychos. She isn’t happy with the results she is getting. She thinks this would be the perfect time for her to start dating because AJ will be going to college and Junior will be going to prison. Renee doesn’t trust men let alone strangers. A minute later, she deletes her account.

Carla receives a phone call from Joe. He has 10 minutes to talk. He is coming home in two weeks and has to stay at the halfway house for a month. She wants to prepare a bag of clothes for him with underwear, socks, T-shirts, in a duffle bag. She says she will always help him.

Renee pops into the therapist office. Dating is a major concern, she hasn’t had a healthy relationship in years. She wants the opposite (meaning no disrespect) of what she has had. She wants a normal life, a guy with a regular job who comes home for dinner. The therapist says, “You exude what you attract.” (Shouldn’t it be you attract what you exude?) In order for her to have a normal life she needs to live a normal life. She tells Renee, either you are totally sick of the life style, so much so that you change it, or you are not. She doesn’t think Renee has gotten to that point yet. And, I don’t think she has gotten there yet either.

At Drita’s house there is a phone call from the NYS Correctional Facility from Lee. Lee got the pictures from Drita and he liked them. She enjoys conversations with Lee, that‘s all they have. He tells her the pictures are really nice. They discuss her breast size. She tells him they got bigger after she had the kids and then she got them done. The picture he liked best was the one of her in the bathing suit, wearing the fur jacket. She asks herself why she wants to make him happy when she isn’t. She tells him that he did three things right in his life, marry her and create his two girls. She wants her family to stay together.

I have to add my two cents now. I am so glad Karen and Drita made up, finally! I’m not sure the Renee, Carla and boyfriend issue is totally resolved because from the developments reported in yesterday’s blog, it seems the boyfriend is not happy with how he has been portrayed. Also, if we have learned anything at all from watching the show, it’s that Renee never let’s anything go.

The online dating is a waste of time for Renee. She isn’t about to settle down with a “normal” guy because she will never be done with the mob “lifestyle.” She is still going to restaurants and saying out loud, for everyone to hear, “I’m Anthony Graziano’s daughter!” She is still bailing out Junior. She is starting “Jail Mail Inc.” She is hanging out with “Mob Wives.” She quotes the “rules” of the mob on a daily basis: it’s all about loyalty and respect. It’s so ingrained in her that she can never do what the therapist said, and walk away from it. And frankly, I don’t think she wants to. She is very happy with her “Mob Princess” title and wears her crown with pride. I think she would go back to Junior in a heartbeat, but it’s really Junior who is avoiding a reconciliation.

As for Joe Ferragamo and Carla dearest, I have a few words to say. You knew I would! After the first show, where Carla says she doesn’t consider “stock fraud” a crime, I did a little research on Mr. Ferragamo. You can read his detailed “resume” on our second “most popular” blog list on your right. He was quite good at stock fraud, and it wasn’t a one time deal. It turns out that Carla was a sales assistant at a stock firm, which is where she met Joe. I was wondering how they met. She had to tell him that “he was doing ‘it’ all wrong.” Then she confesses that he got fired and she did too, right after him. This was an “Ah, ha moment for me!” What can anyone make of that? I’ll tell you what it sounds like to me. It sounds like he was doing something illegal with the stock and Carla was well aware of it and maybe participated in it, for them both to get fired. Carla is not so innocent as she would like us to believe. So, for old times sake, she is going to pack him a bag for the halfway house filled with socks and underwear. He seems fine with that. I’ll add that, from the pictures, Joe appears to be a very good looking man. However, I reserve judgment until I see what he looks like now, because six years in prison can really age a person.

That’s all I am going to say for now. Stay tuned for upcoming blogs keeping you up to date on current news as well as background history. We when know about it, you’ll know about it! Have a good week!

Mob Wives: My Least Favorite Mob Wife, Carla

Carla wins hands down as my least favorite mob wife. It boils down to her continual state of denial and her secrecy regarding all her connections to the mob. Why agree to be on a show that promotes mob associations, only to say you are only remotely associated to the mob through an uncle, Bruno Facciolo (who was murdered in August of 1990).

She acknowledges that her father, the brother of Bruno, was imprisoned at least twice; once when she was a child and the other time when she was in her 20’s. She never tells us why her father was imprisoned even though she claims her mother never hid his imprisonment from their children. Surely she must have overheard a conversation or asked why he was in jail. That would be my first reaction if my father went away for years. For me it just raises a red flag that she is hiding things. I feel she is purposely not disclosing his name, the reason for his incarceration and possibly his affiliation with the mob. In fact, on the Joy Behar show, she said her father wasn’t a “member” of the mob, but no one asked if he was an “associate.”

When she talks about her husband, the stock broker, she downplays his crimes. It’s as though she is saying: what’s stock fraud compared to murder, drug trafficking, larceny, loan sharking and crimes like that? When I looked into exactly what Joseph Ferragamo had done (see blog for May 11), I was more than a little angry with Carla’s attitude. He was involved in stock fraud, of one kind or another, for years. He worked at many companies, changing firms often, and participating in the latest money making scheme of the day. The money he benefited from came from victims he scammed, many of whom were vulnerable senior citizens. I wonder if Carla ever gives a thought to any of these people when she looks into her mother’s 67 year old eyes. Even Carla’s mother seems sympathetic to her son-in-law’s plight. “He isn’t a bad person,“ she is heard saying while sitting at Carla’s kitchen table. And, while discussing Joey’s crimes, her mother responds “big deal.“ To her it wasn’t a “big deal,“ but then again, it wasn’t her money he was stealing, was it? There is also some reason to believe that Joey Ferragamo allegedly had ties to organized crime according to Federal authorities, as one of the firms may have been run by organized crime members. But, Carla hasn’t revealed a thing.

Yet her VH1 bio seems to indicate that she was raised in the mob lifestyle. Here’s a quote: “While her father went to prison when she was young, it didn't stop her from living the lifestyle she grew to love. When Carla was 17 she started dating street guys and really got a taste of the life. She hung out with girls like Renee, and others -- whose parents were either in the life or extremely wealthy.” That suggests to me that her mob lifestyle was provided by more than just an “uncle.” She even dated mobsters, so the bio says. I wonder when and how she met Joey, don’t you? Maybe that’s a little secret too?

Yes, Carla is secretive about her family’s involvement in the mob and she is in a state of denial about where the money, that pays for her lavish lifestyle came from. Hard working, elderly people, who saved money for their retirement are paying for her gym membership, her limos, her wardrobe, her new clothing line, her house, her manicures and pedicures, her liquor, her hair, her condo in Florida…you name it. She may seem like the “wallflower” on the show, but under her “polished” (and I use the word as loosely as possible) exterior, is a woman with no conscience.

Who is your least favorite mob wife and why? I’d really like to know. Leave a comment and check out the POLL on your right to cast your vote.

Mob Wives: An Orange World

Well I am on the fence about the Mob Wives' premiere. It did not live up to my expectations completely. I just don't know after the first episode if I can refer to myself as a fan of the series. However, I told myself that I would blog about the series from beginning to the end; I'll stick to my guns. While I ponder on what direction to go in with my Mob Wives' recap, I've decided to touch on the phenomenon of spray tanning. I don't f*cking get it.

Allow me to retract my last sentence. I've seen some spray tans that are absolutely amazing in various shades of beautiful tans (think brown family) and bronzes. I understand women wanting gorgeous sunkissed skin. Hell everyone can't be a Californian girl just as The Beach Boys shared in their smash hit. Yet, what the f*ck is up with an orange spray tan? I mean who wants to walk around looking like a commercial for orange Kool-Aid? All the women on Mob Wives are attractive for the most part physically. I cannot grasp how orange skin is going to elevate their sexy scores in Staten Island or anywhere else in the world. Well if they were auditioning for a part in The Wizard of Oz or Willy Wonka and The Chocolate factory, I'd get it. Is it me or would Renee Graziano make one hell of a Wicked Witch of The East? I'll touch more on Renee in my upcoming recap later. She irks the bejeezus out of me.

VH-1 was kind enough to share the Mob Wives' spray tanning ceremony with us through video. I really have a love/hate viewership with that network. Oh well everyone can't be the Discovery or OWN networks. Oh and after you watch the clip please go visit a blog I stumbled upon a few minutes ago. The blogger Shae totally disagrees with me on the Mob Wives' attractiveness. Shae of Women's Dynasty has a blog titled 'Want to See the Ugliest Women Alive? Watch VH-1's Mob Wives! All I can blog out loud is wow, woow, wooooow. I am hoping Shae doesn't live in Staten Island. Otherwise we may very well have to start up a Blogger Protection Program specifically for her. On with the world would be mine if I were orange video.

Mob Wives' Super Teaser

I have to give it to VH-1. They definitely know how to get us excited about a new series. They've definitely succeeded with Mob Wives' Super Teaser. I'll let you see for yourself if you already haven't below.

Now was that a d@mn Drita moment or what? She straight put her hand around Renee's neck. Drita is so not playing just a pretty face on the show. I know know it's just a teaser but I likey like her already.

Yes, I know I am a blogging commercial. But you have to admit, you know you can't wait until the premiere episode of VH-1's Mob Wives on Sunday, April 17th @ 8 PM Pacific/Eastern & 7 PM Central. Who needs Robert DeNiro when these wives are so not playing?

Video: VH-1

Welcome!

We are folks who are highly interested in VH-1 upcoming new series Mob Wives. Our goal is to write recaps and other tidbits about the four main women starring in the show. We do not pretend to know any of the women personally or their families. Therefore this is so not personal for us. We are simply future viewers of the show as hopefully all those who visit this page. Our opinions and points of view will be based off of what we see each week, nothing more or less. Of course the exception will be if the actual Mob Wives' cast stop by to share information that was left on the production team's editing floor. We can hope. However, the reality is it won't likely happen. So we won't hold our breath. Chiara and I are looking for one more blogger to add to our team. Hopefully someone with that Staten Island edge. However, if you are from Bum F*ck, Egypt submit a Mob Wives related piece. We'll see if you're what we're looking for.

We have no problem with anyone stopping by disagreeing with our opinion. However, personal attacks are flat out lame. If the show is half as good & entertaining as we think it will be, we will be fans of the Mob Wives' series. It does not mean we will be cheerleading wannabee goonettes glorifying every move Renee Graziano, Drita D'avanzo, Karen Gravano and Carla Facciolo make. We won't be salivating at every word that comes from their lips. It's not that type of party or site over here ladies, gents and morons. We are going to watch the show every week if we pay our cable bills. We are going to share our opinions on the show and individuals as it pertains to the show or relevant news. We have not walked a mile in any of the women's shoes let alone a block. So neither one of us comes from a place of been there, done that. I can't speak for Chiara. However, I for one would like the thigh high boots Renee Graziano is rocking in the VH-1 Mob Wives' promo video. I don't plan on walking in them either.
Make sure if your time permits to tune into VH-1 premiere episode of Mob Wives Sunday, April 17th @ 8 PM Pacific/Eastern & 7 PM Central. We think it's going to be bangin'.
