Real Housewives Of NY: Jill Zarin On Joy Behar

Jill has plenty more to say about her being let go from Real Housewives Of New York on Joy Behar"s show.  She said she was told about the firing over the phone and that she would not be coming back next season.  No reason was given other than they were looking to make a change.  However, when Joy read Ramona's comments regarding Jill to her, Jill had a very negative reaction.  Ramona's comments included that she felt Jill became "a negative force in her life, cancerous."  Jill was highly offended and said that it was a horrible thing for her to say, especially when she was just fired.  Joy agrees. It was like Ramona "put the last nail in the coffin" of Jill's being fired.  Jill thinks she should have been graceful when speaking about their relationship on the show, and said that they had had their ups and downs and wish her the best.  They also discuss Taylor Armstrong and her selling pictures to ET for $125,000.  An interesting video clip!  Have a look.

Real Housewives Of NY: Jill Zarin Has Her Say!

Jill Zarin has plenty to say about firing

Jill Zarin, “the tart tongued drama queen“, was on Good Morning America today and she had a lot to say about the “firing.” Jill was surprisingly calm and matter of fact about the situation. Jill says she and her cast mates were hurt and shocked by this decision, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of dollars they were going to lose by not being on the show. However, Jill says life goes on and thanks to the show she is making millions on other ventures.

About the phone call telling her she was fired, Jill said she was shocked and it didn’t feel good not to be asked back “to the party.” As to why they were let go, Jill said she really didn’t ask. She felt it didn’t matter they had already made their decision and it was just a few weeks before filming for season five was due to begin. Three other housewives were also let go in a huge overhaul of the show, Cindy, Alex, and Kelly.

Cindy said she believes they were fired because there was too much fighting going on. Jill says of course there was fighting going on, no question, but she feels the format of the show encourages fighting to create drama. It’s a toxic environment. Jill says it took her months to come down from it.

As to the suicide of Taylor’s husband, Jill says her heart broke for Taylor and her family. Her advice to Taylor would be not to talk to the press for six months to a year. Buckle down with her family and probably not go back on the show, BUT if she needs the money then she’s gotta do what she’s gotta do to take care of her family. Jill says the show hasn’t been good for Taylor and that she has done a lot of crying.

Meanwhile Jill intends to make the most of her 15 minutes of fame. The longer term benefits of being on these shows is the opportunity to start business and capitalize on branding. Jill has Squeeze couture and a jewelry line as well as other ventures in which she plans to do just that. The show was her platform or a free infomercial to her future business success.

Jill ends by thanking Bravo for the experience and all the doors it has opened for her and she wouldn’t trade it for anything.
