Mob Wives: Brittany, Flip-Flopping Or Flipping Off?

Brittany in true Mob Wife form!

We just got around to listening to Brittany Fogarty's interview with AfterBuzz TV Mob Wives Aftershow which took place after episode 4, "Flip-Floppers and Party Hoppers," aired.

After a little chit chat about the recent blizzard, her modeling, her boyfriend and some family talk they get around to the talking about the show. Brittany feels that the other mob wives don't respect what she has to say because she is the youngest at 25, and doesn't understand. She says that they can't wrap their heads around the fact that someone younger than they are can see through them. Brittany says, her mother, Andrea Giovino, always put her kids first. No matter how difficult life got, Brittany says her mother was a strong woman who never let them see how upset she was and she was more of an idol and inspiration to her growing up. Her father, John Fogarty, wasn't too happy with her joining the show. He didn't want her to be associated with the mob in any way. Her brothers think the show is funny and they laugh about it. Brittany says things were rough in her relationship with her dad, who got out of prison when she was 11. But they are working on their relationship. Her maternal grandmother ran illegal card games for wise guys in the basement her Brooklyn home. She had 10 kids and she would make them hang up their coats and serve them drinks. When Brittany's brother was four, her grandmother bought him a pocketknife for Christmas and taught him how to use it. At 18 months Brittany's family relocated to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They often went back to Staten Island to visit family and spend time there. She says she misses LA where she has been living recently.

Now for the episode chat. "Flip-Floppers" in the title refers to Brittany. The interviewer says she understands Brittany's frustration with Marissa because Marissa is just looking for every excuse not to like Brittany. Every episode she takes shots at Brittany. Brittany says she is still trying to figure out why this girl is so concerned with what she is doing and who she is talking to and how much she is drinking. She feels Renee has brainwashed Marissa into not liking her from day one. And if she wants to call her a "lush" she really doesn't care, but it's the antagonist intention behind it and the way she kept saying it to provoke her. Why is she looking to start a problem with someone she doesn't know from a hole in the wall? Brittany and the interviewers feel that Brittany is Marissa's storyline. She says in every scene Marissa is taking about her like she has nothing else to talk about. I have to agree with Brittany on this point. This is exactly what I have seen in the first four episodes. The whole "lush" scene at the Hamptons seemed to irritate the other women and I felt like Marissa was really trying to provoke Brittany into a fight at the pool or at the very least, set the tone for future episodes.

As far as the "Flip-Flopper" thing goes, she thinks the women cannot handle the fact that she likes Drita, it's as simple as that. They ask her how can she explain the way she spoke about Drita in the Hamptons behind her back and then becoming friends with her.  She owns the fact she spoke about Drita behind her back and in looking back she was wrong to do that, she shouldn't have chimed in because she hadn't even met Drita yet. But, she was hanging around a bunch of women who did nothing but talk about her and bad mouth her for weeks so she chimed in. When she met Drita she found her to be a totally different person than the one they described. She liked her right off the bat. She doesn't feel she should have a grudge against Drita for the problems other people had with her. Brittany denies that Drita "took her under her wing." She says the other women talked badly about Drita to influence her, but Drita never spoke badly about any of them to sway her one way or another. If anyone was trying to manipulate her it would be all the other women who tried to convince her not to like Drita. As for Carla saying Drita took her under her wing, Brittany says Carla must be weak to have been manipulated for three years. Ouch! Maybe if Brittany had watched the previous seasons, and seen it with her own two eyes, she would understand where the other women are coming from. Drita has not been loyal and is not "friend" material. Sometimes, when you are young, you have to learn things the hard way. Like Carla said, give it enough time and Brittany will be the new "mothball," especially if she decides to move to LA and disappear. They soon may not be "friends like that any more."

Brittany says she watched the first season of Mob Wives when it aired four years ago. When she was asked to be on the show she made the decision not to go back and watch the other seasons so she wouldn't have preconceived ideas about all the women because those issues have nothing to do with her. She is going to meet them one on one and base her opinions on how they are with her. Now that filming has ended she is still friends with Drita and Ang. She says she enjoys the show.

They ask if she is close with Karen now. Brittany says, "No, oh no." Then adds they got into a twitter war last week.  She says she thinks it's because she formed a friendship with Drita in spite of their efforts to keep that from happening. The interviewers are shocked to hear about the twitter war because Brittany and Karen were getting along great, especially in episode four. Brittany says you have to see how her relationship with Karen plays out. They were friendly in the beginning, but these women are so black and white, it's either team Drita or team Karen and she doesn't see it like that. None of their issues had to do with her. But her friendship with Drita had a lot to do with hurting her relationship with Karen. She says they haven't filmed the Reunion Show yet, but they will be doing that next week. She is looking forward to it. As for how she got on the show, she went through the regular casting process and was hired by Jennifer Graziano, who she thanks. Fans think Karen brought her around and got her the job.

They go over the Twitter War tweets. Karen calls Brittany fake and her story about visiting her father in prison fake. Brittany says that's why people are delusional. Now that they aren't friends she wants to say her whole story is fake, but when they were friends she was saying how close their fathers were. She thinks sometimes people forget what they say. Brittany says it all started when Karen tweeted she had no loyalty because she was friendly towards Drita at the gym. But Drita never said anything bad about her except she had a tanning bed in her house. Brittany didn't think that was such a big deal because it's true Karen had a tanning bed. The interviewer says yes, but maybe Karen is pissed because Brittany started the conversation with Drita and kind of stirred the pot. Brittany agrees but says how can she address the elephant in the room when Drita knows all these women talked about her in the Hamptons? Is she supposed to go in and pretend she doesn't know anything? The fact remains that none of these other women's issues with Drita are her issues, so why should she have a chip on her shoulder when it comes to Drita?

It ends with one of Brittany's quotes: "Be strong, put your lipstick on and get the f*ck out there."

In my opinion Brittany did a great job handling all the questions and her answers came across as truthful from her point of view.

In next week's episode 5, "The SitDown" we are supposed to see how Karen gets dragged into the middle of Brittany and Marissa's issues. Stay Tuned!

Mob Wives: RECAP "Flip-Floppers and Party Hoppers," Ep 604

The Episode all leads up to this moment!

Drita meets Ang at a fancy restaurant. Drita considers Ang a real friend, the only one who has had her back. I guess Drita forgot all the times Carla had her back? Drita says she is going to put Ang in the book about her life. Ang is a legend in Staten Island. And, of course, she can't leave out all those fights at Ang's Nocturnal Bar. Ang tells her she can't have a bar any more, her bar days are over. No bar, no money. Ang says Neil has to start contributing. Ang tells Drita she is throwing herself a birthday party with all the girls. Even though she is short on money, no expense will be spared. Neil will probably have to work 5 years just to pay for that party. Ang tells her how Carla was freaking out when she found out Drita told Ang about her ex-boyfriend. Ang knows she did it out of concern. Drita is getting hot under the collar and talks about violence again. Ang thinks they can talk at her party and straighten it out. We all know how those party "talks" always end up . . . hair pulling and no cake!

Renee's house. Renee is trying to keep herself in a happy and healthy space. She is gardening and doesn't know what's up with Drita. Karen shows up and says she had a rough weekend. She has problems with Storm. She says while she was out with the girls the phone kept ringing and she didn't see it. It was Storm asking her where she is. Meanwhile, he hangs out all night working at the club and that's okay. He went to Karen's house to wait for her and he had been drinking and acting crazy. He grabbed her phone. Now her phone is broken. He was disrespecting her. Karen feels things are out of control, no coming back from it, it's just over. This isn't the first time there have been problems. The same problems. Maybe couple's therapy is in order here, but I doubt Storm would go for that.

Ang is fed up with paying all the bills

Ang's house. Ang says her bills are piling up. Neil got a second job with her brother in construction, but he still doesn't bring home any money. There is no money coming in, she can't pay the bills by herself. He works every day, but Ang says she has yet to see a pay check. She says he doesn't pay for anything. Neil says she chose to buy expensive things and an expensive house. He says he wants to be with her, but  she doesn't want to be with him. Neil leaves for work. "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out." Ang should have known that Neil could never support her in the lifestyle the wise guys got her accustomed to on the salary of a sanitation worker. This relationship was doomed form the get go. Neil seems like a nice enough guy if only he could win the lottery.

Karen and Brittany talk about their Dads

Karen reads what Victoria Gotti Sr. had to say
about Sammy's early release

Karen's House. Brittany comes over to visit. They chat about their fathers and how close they were. Karen says Brittany reminds her of herself, they went through similar situations. Their fathers were in jail together, they knew the same people. They were very close and had each other's back. Karen tells Brittany about the early release program and filing papers to get her father out early. But Karen says everyone's got something to say, like Victoria Gotti Sr. who commented about it to the media. Karen is sick of them attacking her father. Karen is so over the Gotti's pointing the finger and they need to take responsibility for what their father did. (If you want to know what really happened back in the day, read Sammy's book "Underboss" or read our blog on his 1997 Interview with Diane Sawyer)

Ang sets up the warehouse sitdown

Manhattan. Drita is sick of people bringing up things from the past. Sure she does, because when you set people up and sell them out you don't want that coming back to bite you in the ass. On the other hand, when she is meeting with an agent about getting her story published, Drita doesn't mind revisiting the past. She pitches her story to an agent. She tells the agent she lived in the projects, she was a soccer player, she chose a bad path at 17 or 18 and got involved with a street guy. She got caught up in shoot outs, got shot at.  She says she came from nothing and never even went to a restaurant. Then she dates someone who lavishes her with expensive gifts and a lifestyle that looked good to her. The agent wants to know if she is going to talk about all this in her book. Drita says she has to. The Agent says Drita has to submit a proposal with some of the stories of her life so she can get a feel for it. The agent says it sounds like an interesting, unique story. The agent better have a ghost writer handy to tackle this book. I want to know if Drita plans to write about Karen in her book after giving her hell for mentioning Lee?

Carla arrives at the warehouse dressed "to kill"

Brooklyn. Carla, Renee, Kim and Etty meet for a meal and wine. Renee wants to fill them in about what's going on, but Carla speaks up. Carla tells them about the Mermaid Parade and all of a sudden there is  Love and she told her what Drita did. Then she found out that Drita betrayed her by telling Ang her business about her ex-boyfriend. Carla feels sad and betrayed. Renee says Drita has a different definition of friendship. Renee thinks it's funny Drita blames her for all the problems when she is starting fights with everyone. Renee mentions Ang's party and they will all be there at the same time. Carla just wants to know what her problem is. I think her problem is guilt for the way she treated Carla after Carla defended her and had her back for three seasons. Only a million viewers were witnesses to that. And then we jump to "we aren't friends like that" and the "mothball" comment. Drita is the only one who can connect those dots.

Renee arrives at the warehouse

Ang's Party in her sister's yard. "The cancer free, 55th birthday party." She says no way Neil is coming to her party after the argument they had. Renee says she isn't in the mood to see Drita. Carla loves Ang's parties. Karen says they all have issues, but no one has issues with Ang and they are there to support her. Brittany is excited to spend time with all the girls. Drita arrives and isn't happy seeing all the girls there. But, she goes over and kisses Renee and Karen. They seemed shocked. I did a double take. Carla says if Drita wants to speak to her she will have to go over to her. Drita loves the yard.  Marissa goes over to the girls, but isn't happy to see Brittany there.  Drita and Marissa meet when Marissa wishes Ang a Happy Birthday. Drita says Ang told her Marissa said she snubbed her. Marissa reminds her about the details of the incident. Drita says Marissa's boyfriend, Jamie aka O.Z. was like a brother to her so she would never snub his girlfriend. Drita explains that she thought Marissa was with someone she didn't care for or respect at the time. Marissa isn't sure what to think for now.  Drita tells Ang she is a friendly mother f*cker. (Until she isn't.) Got to hand it to Marissa for telling Drita exactly how it is.

Carla is pissed Drita won't go over and talk to her. Don't hold your breath Carla. Ang says the group is divided and they are making no attempt to make up. Ang tells Drita she should talk to Carla. Marissa notices Brittany is hanging out with Drita after all she had to say in the Hamptons about her. Carla is sick of Drita staring at her from across the room. Suddenly, a jerk at the party (who coincidently looks like the stalker that waddled away from Drita's store) says Karen's father is a rat. Karen overhears him and calls him out on it. The guy was shaking in his shoes. Karen wants him to say it to her face not behind her back. He won't repeat it. He looks all around trying to find a way to escape. Karen tells him she doesn't want him to disrespect her father. Of course they have the guy remove from the party before things get out of hand. He was dressed like he was going to a ballgame and didn't even look like he even belonged there. Drita decides she doesn't want to talk to Carla at this point because there is too much drama. I guess that's as good of an excuse as any. Even if they did talk, Drita would have to scream at the top of her lungs to drown Carla out because Carla is in the right and Drita has no good explanation for the way she has been treating her.

Karen takes her seat at the warehouse sitdown

Storm and Karen meet at the park. Karen has reached her stress limit. She is giving him back his stuff, it's in her trunk. They are not seeing eye to eye. Karen gets emotional. He doesn't get it that she needs to express her feelings, they need to communicate. Karen knows they love each other, and they are on the same team, but they have to work on communication and their unresolved issues.

Cabo restaurant. Ang is meeting up with Carla and Marissa to see if they remember what happened at the party because she was so drunk she can't remember anything. Carla asks about Neil. Ang says they aren't getting along. Marissa tells them Drita admitted she snubbed her and apologized. Carla was surprised to hear that. Marissa wants to know how Brittany, who was team KG in the Hamptons, is hanging with Drita when she had plenty to say about her in the Hamptons. Marissa says Drita preys on the weak. Marissa doesn't care for flip-floppers and weak people. Carla says Brittany asked her 100 times if she spoke to Drita. Carla says that's her business. Carla says if she and Drita have a problem they should talk it out. Ang says she is going to take matters in her own hands and straighten all these issues out.

Trouble arrives
Everyone else is inside seated, waiting and peaceful

Ang gets a warehouse from a friend for the sitdown. It's just like the wise guys used to do it. Ang says, "Tonight things are going to change for better or for worse." All the ladies are all going to meet and talk. Karen is going there to back up anything she has said or done. Carla wants them all be under the same roof, in front of each other, to put it all on the table. Renee says she avoided Drita at the party, but tonight the bullying ends. Ang wants to end all these problems and move on. Drita says going to this meeting is like going to a "hornet's nest." She is still calling them fake b*tches. With this attitude how can things not go wrong? Drita arrives last. She is ready for a fight.  Next week everyone has their say! DO NOT miss next week's episode . . . called The Sitdown!

Mob Wives: A Pretty Young Drita

A beautiful young Drita back in the day

Once upon a time there was a pretty young thing Drita.

We don’t know if a brown recluse crept up on her pillow at night and took a nip.
We don’t know if it was that time of the month.
We don’t now if it’s a case of hay ever.

A swollen Drita, maybe?

Who knows what happened; isn’t Drita D’Avanso  looking mighty swollen in the picture above?  All we know is she is looking more like one of the Real Housewives of Too Much Work Done Beverly Hills or Orange County.  If you ask me getting too cosmetic surgery is just real stoopid to me.  You didn’t.  So I’ll just end with I am fat and homely so what would I know about beauty on the outside?

**shrugs**

In other important news, I am very sad.  Chiara is refusing to make me a gray scarf. Don’t miss Mob Wives tonight on VH1 9:00 PM unless your central and I think it’s 8:00 PM.  I don’t know about you but I am really enjoying this season of Mob Wives.  In all honesty I can do without the new girls.  They seem to be trying too hard and beyond petty.  Chiara did interview Marissa here.  Chiara said she thought Marissa was smart, savvy and a very nice young lady.

Note: The wrong picture of "young" Drita was inadvertently posted earlier and has now been corrected.  The top picture is Drita in High school.

MM’s note: I think the 1st picture was Drita and the second picture has been always questionable.  HENCE the maybe?  Between all the outside “help” I’m confused.  Back to bons bons and Judge Judy I go.

Mob Wives: Sneak Peek "Flip-Flopper & Party Hoppers" Ep 604

A new sneak peek was just released by VH1 for Wednesday night's episode.  You may recall that Karen was trying to get her father, Sammy, released early under a new law. And in one episode, when Victoria Gotti was talking to Ang, she mentioned the "Sammy Deal" which she explained meant turing informant for a slap on the wrist. As far as I know, no such expression exists or has been posted online. In the scene above, Brittany and Karen discuss Karen's plans to get her father out of prison early. Then Karen opens the newspaper and reads what Victoria Gotti Sr. had to say about Sammy's release. Needless, to say Karen was not happy. Watch this scene and see what you think.

Mob Wives: Karen & Brittany The Last Straw

Back in better days

Karen Gravano introduces Brittany to the rest of the cast in Season 6 Mob Wives, "The Last Stand." Karen knows Brittany because both of their fathers are friends and did time together. There is a family tie there. Karen also relates to Brittany because she was in her shoes twenty years ago. Both of their fathers cooperated and the girls were being judged for it. Karen seems to take Brittany under her wing and, while they were filming, we saw many pictures of them together hanging out and having a good time. Something changed all that and last night we saw what it was.

Brittany decides to befriend Drita. Despite her friendship with Karen and everything Karen and the others have told her, she decides to throw caution to the wind and hang out with Drita. She likes Drita even though she just met her and knows her for all of five seconds. She disrespects her friendship with Karen and shows she has no loyalty to her at all. Last night, after a whole season of filming, Karen and Brittany exchanged a few ugly tweets. Here, in the "Twitter After Show," is the nasty little twitter war for you to read.

First Brittany accuses Karen of not knowing Marissa

Karen sees just how loyal Brittany is

Karen decides to put the truth out there

Karen is in BLUE, Brittany is in GRAY

Brittany has a "mind of her own" and she made her choice loud and clear. Let's see how long this friendship with Drita lasts, maybe as long as season 6 . . . then Brittany may become the NEW "mothball" and they won't be friends "like that" any more.

Mob Wives: Recap "Hamptons Hangover," Ep 603

Brittany fills Ang in on what she thinks of Marissa

Before I get started, let me backtrack to the premiere episodes for a minute. With two episodes it was hard to blog everything I wanted to say. Let's address the whole "lush" argument and how we got there. First we have the fact that Brittany and Marissa mix as well as oil and water. There is no love lost between these two. But, were Brittany and I the only ones annoyed with Marissa?  Marissa was invited for a lovely weekend in the Hamptons. She accepted and then did nothing but complain the whole time. The limo ride was too long, she didn't have enough air, there was too much drinking on the way there. It's like the kid who keeps asking "Are we there yet?" Then they arrive at a beautiful house that Carla and VH1 spared no expense in renting for them. Marissa insults Carla by calling it a cabin in the woods. While they are there the girls want to relax and have a few drinks, but Marissa isn't happy about that. She turns to Brittany and calls her a "lush." Maybe none of them are familiar with that word because it's outdated and not used very often in this context. Marissa says she was joking, I don't think so, but let's say she was joking. How many times does it take before a "joke" isn't a joke, and is considered passive-aggressive behavior? The first couple of times Brittany took it well and laughed it off. But Marissa continued to provoke as though she wanted to start an argument or fight. That was disrespectful to Carla and all the women who went there just to relax and have fun. And, I might add, Brittany was not acting intoxicated or annoying so there was really no need for Marissa to call her out on her drinking. People in their 20's drink and like to party. Period.

After wearing out the word "lush," the girls decide to enjoy the rest of their time in the Hamptons. Carla takes the girls to her friends house. Carla doesn't want Marissa and Brittany acting up and embarrassing her. Ang pulls Brittany over and they talk about the "lush" argument. Renee and Marissa have a conversation about the same thing. As I stated above, I have to side with Brittany on this one. Brittany says she shut down Marissa and her "lushing" mouth. Marissa complains about too much alcohol at the party. There's just too much drinking for her taste. I'm not sure how well Marissa fits in to this circle. She complains about everything and seems impossible to please. At this point she is really a "party pooper."

Marissa shares a few thoughts about Brittany

The next morning everyone is back at the house and the doorbell rings. Ang answers it. Its 8 AM and there is a yoga instructor there to teach the girls a few moves. Who the hell had that bright idea? VH1 must have arranged that because no way Carla is going to surprise everyone with yoga after a night of drinking! Renee is not interested, and the instructor is on Ang's nerves. Karen is hungover and does not want to get out of bed. She worked hard to get her hangover and the last thing she wants is to detoxify. But they all (except Renee) end up outside on mats to "Omm," while Ang is saying "Bloody Mary," and just wants to do a "wrist to elbow move."  Renee wants no part of yoga or sweating. Marissa is the last one to come out. Gotta give Ang credit for joining in. Then she quits. She did more than I would have done.

A nice meal to wrap up the trip

Carla hires a personal chef for their last day in the Hamptons. A nice "delicious" breakfast before they head home. Everyone says how much they enjoyed their vacation. Apparently Brittany and Marissa keep mumbling about "lush" so they aren't totally over it. Everyone thanks Carla for the weekend. Big Ang brings up the fact that she lost her constitutional rights because she is a felon. All she knows how to do is work in a bar, so she wants to restore her rights. Karen gives her a little advice. Having the Drunken Monkey close down put a hole in her heart. Then Renee advises Carla to talk to Drita when they get home. Ang agrees they should sit down and talk. Karen says she is tired of hearing Drita calling her a fake and a phony and she wants her to say it to her face. Karen plans on meeting up with Drita. Bye bye Hamptons. We've had a chance to meet the new girls and this little time away gave everyone time to talk about their issues with Drita.

Renee and AJ have lunch. AJ has grown up before our eyes. Renee says she will ask Andrea what kind of wedding she wants. Renee thinks he should put a real engagement ring on her finger, "a solid rock."  Andrea says she wasn't ready for a wedding, but she is ready for an engagement. Renee wants them to move in with her. She is lonely and she loves having her son around. The kids aren't crazy about staying with Renee. Andrea thinks the house is haunted. Renee wants to get a medium to come to the house and find the ghost and have it removed.  If there are no ghosts the kids agree to stay with Renee. I'm not so sure I believe they are really happy with that arrangement, but okay I'll go along with it.

Karen confronts Drita

The confrontation at the park. Karen is driving to meet Drita to talk to her directly and face to face.  Drita has a lot to say to Karen so she is glad she called. Karen says she hears she is a fake and a  phony. Drita says everyone is a phony because they talk about each other, hate each other and then they become best friends and love each other. Karen asks why is she fake for being friends with Carla? Karen says Drita's issue with Carla is not her issue. Drita wants to know why none of them defended her when Love told them she set up Carla. Karen says she doesn't know if that's true or not, she should talk to Love about that. Drita says she doesn't set anyone up. Considering how Drita is behaving towards Carla, who knows if her hands are really clean?

Drita gets louder and louder

Drita starts screaming at Karen. Karen is trying to talk. Drita thinks Karen is trying to fight with her because Karen keeps telling her to lower her voice. Karen just wants to talk like civilized adults. She says Drita needs to "Put her veins away." Karen tells her the two of us had issues and put them behind us and sat a table many times. Does that make us phony?  Karen says she isn't a fake or phony, and if that is how Drita feels, oh well. Drita says right now they are far from friends. Drita says Karen has been a headache in her life for the last five years, since she came back. Karen says she doesn't like Drita's version of friendship and she doesn't need a "friend" like that. All I could think of while watching this scene is that Drita really didn't want to address anything Karen had to say. She wouldn't let her talk or make her point. I don't think Drita wanted Karen to make her point at all because then she would have had to answer with reasons that make sense. Instead she screams on the top of her lungs, until she drowns Karen out, and basically forces her to leave because she can't get anywhere.

Counting Drita's Veins?

Ang's House. Brittany is there. They chat. They had a great time the Hamptons and Ang loves Brittany. They both wish Drita had been there. Drita arrives to meet Brittany. Brittany thinks Drita can't be all bad if Ang likes her. Drita arrives. Drita and Brittany hit it off right away. Drita knows Marissa's boyfriend O.Z.  When Brittany hears that, she tells Drita how miserable Marissa was at the Hamptons. They have a good laugh over Marissa's face and how it annoyed Drita. Brittany calls Marissa "Miss Miserable." Drita says Renee has had a fight with everyone, so who is really the problem? Brittany can relate because of how Renee reacted towards her when they first met. Drita says Renee is the Queen F*cking Problem. Drita says everyone will show their true colors at some point. I find it interesting that Brittany would dismiss everything Karen has told her and just become "friends" with Drita. She just drops her guard (and her loyalty to Karen) and embraces Drita, who she doesn't know from a hole the wall?  Who does that?  (Another blog should be coming out later today about this.)

Marissa and Karen talk about Brittany. She can't believe she got so upset over a word she had to look up and didn't know. Karen says she has a loyalty to both Brittany and Marissa. She says Brittany's father and Sammy were friends and there is a family tie there. But, Karen says she knows O.Z. a long time too and is good friends with his sister.  Karen says she really likes Brittany. They move on to Drita. Marissa says she didn't get a good vibe from Drita when they met through their men, Lee and O.Z., who are lifelong friends. Karen and Marissa are on the same page concerning Drita.

Renee's house. Joann the medium comes to the house to check it out for ghosts. She says there are two females. One who loves roses. Renee's grandmother. The other is a little girl who likes to play and make noise. AJ claims he hears a little girl who lives in the closet. Joann says the ghost is looking out for Renee and says she needs to cleanse certain people from her life.

Ang goes to see a lawyer about restoring her constitutional rights. He helped her back in 2001 when she was in trouble. Her girlfriend ratted her out. Ang tells him she can't escape the past. He says the consequences of what happened 13 years ago will stay with her the rest of he life. He tells her she can't get her record expunged and, as long as it exists, she cannot get her rights back. Ang is really upset by this news.

At the gym Brittany and Drita get together. Isn't this great? Brittany isn't seeing the side of Drita that the others complained about at the Hamptons. The two of them are clicking. Brittany tells her about her father being away for 11 years and she was 8 months old when he went in. She tells her how scary it was visiting him in prison. Drita relates to her story because her girls were in the same situation. Drita tells her what happened with Lee going to prison while she was pregnant. Drita tells her Lee was a bank burglar. Drita is dissing the other girls, Karen and Renee. They had everything handed to them, she had to work for everything. Brittany and Drita seem to see eye to eye on everything. Brittany says the only reason she knows any of them is because of Karen. So, because she is friends with Karen does that mean she can't be Drita's friend too?

Good question and Brittany should know the answer. In case she doesn't, let's summarize. A long time family friend (Karen) has been on the outs with someone (Drita) for five years. You meet that person and immediately strike up a friendship with them without any thought or consideration for what your friend has told you? No loyalty to your friend? And it's not just your friend telling you she can't be trusted, others are saying the same thing. Does that mean you shouldn't be friends with Drita? Drita who drops friends left and right when it's not convenient? Who marries a good friend's ex boyfriend and never bothers to call and tell her. Who decides when someone moves away they stop being your friend? Who joins in a pact with her co-workers to negotiate for a better contract and then sells them out and makes a deal for herself? Who dumps a friend (Carla) who has had her back 100% and then says she is a "mothball" and "we weren't friends like that?"  Who very possibly helped to set up a good friend so she could be hit? Who tells your business to others that you told her in confidence? Someone who flip flops every chance she gets? Yes, Drita is certainly friend material.

La Marina. The girls meet for colorful drinks. Ang tells them she saw her lawyer. He says there is no way she can get her rights back. Carla, Karen and Renee think it's ridiculous. Brittany is there quietly sipping a drink and listening. Renee tells them all that Drita told Brittany that Renee is the cause of all the problems and trouble. Renee says she and Carla made up and got past their issues. She can't understand why that bothers Drita. Ang says she remembers Drita sticking for Carla. Carla says no, Drita never defended her, Carla was always the one who stuck up for Drita. Carla told Drita something in confidence; something to the effect that her ex beat her up. It seems Drita told Ang and Renee her business. Carla is really pissed now. Renee says Drita is causing more problems and another fight. Renee says Drita has fought with everyone and she's blaming her. I predict many more sit-downs before this season ends.

So now all the storylines seem to be set up. Everyone but Brittany has a bone to pick with Drita. I hope we get to hear what Love has to say soon. Carla has a lot of issues to take up with Drita. I can't wait to see if Drita will explain anything or have answers OR will she just scream in Carla's face until she walks away too? Stay tuned!

Mob Wives: Reactions to Love's Return

Love Majewski is back on Mob Wives in Season 6 and VH1 just posted a video of what the other mob wives think about this very unexpected development. Love first shows up at the Mermaid Parade. Carla's first reaction is dread of another confrontation. Renee senses trouble. Karen was happy to see her friend, but then remembered Carla was there too. And then, after hearing what Love had to say, Carla begins leaning towards believing Love over Drita. Drita adds everything she can think of to discredit what Love had to say. Finally, everyone gives their theories on what they think went on between Drita and Love before the attack. Interesting video!

Hopefully, more details will emerge this season as Love talks to Carla about what really happened between her and her good "friend" Drita at Love's house the night before the altercation.

Here are a few very recent tweets on the subject:

P. S. Episode 3 is "Hamptons Hangover" After Brittany and Marissa stop arguing, the ladies try to make the most of there last days away.

Mob Wives: Recap "Cabin in the Woods" Ep 602

This is why I call everybody dildos
Because  they are the fakes bunch of d*cks I ever saw.

Drita meets Renee for lunch to see how everything went at the Mermaid Parade because she couldn't be there. Everything starts off very pleasant. Renee tells her the parade was great. She shows her pictures. Drita spots Karina and is impressed with how grown up she is. Renee tells her that although things went well a lot of crazy stuff happened and Drita isn't prepared for what she his going to tell her.  Renee says Love showed up and she saw Carla. Love apologized to Carla for what happened at Drita's party, but said that it was all because someone was in her ear egging her on. Drita says, "Don't tell me my name came up." Renee says, "Yeah, and not good." Renee continues to tell Drita, Love told Carla that you told her you would bring Carla to the party and walk out so she could hit Carla. Drita says "that's a lie," but I didn't see the explosive reaction we all would expect from that story from Drita.  Hmmm. Drita just denied it and smiled. Drita says "I would never walk out and let someone get set up." Drita says "the last time I saw Love it was three years ago and she was dragging Carla by her f*ckin' hair. Those two hated each other and now she is trying' to pin some rat move on me!" Drita asks if anyone told Love she was full of sh*t?" Renee says no. Drita says, it figures, nice to know everyone has my back. Drita wants to know if Love likes Carla now, like everyone else. Drita says this crew has nothing in common except hating her. Drita starts to get angry. "You are all fake ass mother f*ckers." Drita is pissed and says Renee made up all kinds of stories about Carla and now they are friends. Renee doesn't understand why Drita has any issues with Carla when they were "tighter than a clam's ass" and never had an argument. Renee says she was just filling Drita in on what was said, so why is Drita starting in with her? Drita says everyone hated Carla and now everyone is friends with her. Drita shows Renee her phone and says she calls everybody "dildos" because that's the fakest bunch of dicks she ever saw in her life. Renee is stunned and Drita gets up to walk out. Renee feels Drita is taking it all out on her. Drita is fed up with all of them. Maybe the question isn't why is everybody friends with Carla now, BUT why isn't Drita "friends like that" with her any more? Maybe something happened at the end of season 3 to change their friendship?  I wonder why Drita never mentions the "pack" they [Karen, Carla, Ramona and Drita] all made and she broke when she sold them out? Now that would be a great sit-down for season 6!

Drita is done with the conversation

Brittany and her mother, Andrea talk about the parade.  Brittany tells her Renee wasn't too crazy about her. She judged her right off the bat. She said she told Renee not to talk about her mom or she would charge her. Andrea says would any one of those women take ten years for a man?  Brittany thinks Renee is being hypocritical to judge her based on what her father has done when she is in the same boat as Karen and AJ. Andrea says they think their way is the only way. Not everything is about hitting, that's like animals. Brittany says she will raise her hands if she has to. Andrea agrees if someone gets in her personal space and threatens her she should defend herself.

Karen meets Renee and Carla for brunch. Karen is glad they are in a good place, they dealt with their situation and moved past it. Karen starts off the conversation with her relationship with Storm, they are having communication issues. She says she is miserable and wants to get away from all the drama. Carla says she has has many good times in the Hamptons and met a lot of great people, so she rented a house for all the girls to have a fun weekend. Renee and Karen are in. Karen wants to ask her cousin, Frances, to come and Brittany.  Renee expresses that she has an issue with Brittany. Karen just wants Renee to give her a chance. Carla says she will invite all the girls, but NOT Drita. Drita hasn't called her so that's that. Renee jumps in with "speaking of Drita" . . . she tells them she was trying to bring Drita up to speed about the parade and Love and she totally flipped out. Drita told her, "You're a fake you're a phony," screaming and yelling. She is so angry that Renee and Carla are friends. Carla says it makes no sense she is angry about them being friends. Renee says, "The b*tch sat across from me and called me a name that no one has ever ever had the nerve to say to my face." Karen says Drita is the fake and the phony. Her actions don't match up to her words. Karen says, if someone is throwing dirt on your name who do you kill the messenger or the person who is throwing the dirt? I think Drita would probably kill both the messenger and the person throwing dirt with her blinded wrench. Don't forget, violence is the answer. Renee says the bottomline is that she has to have one more conversation with her. The last conversation. She can't do it any more. She's done. Renee may be done, but Carla and Karen are no where near done judging from the clips we've seen. Looks like a few more "meetings" are in the cards for season 6.

Manhattan. Renee goes to meet Marissa who is getting made up. They know each other through her boyfriend, O.Z. Marissa is doing photoshoot for a jewelry line. Marissa models for Renee. They take a break to catch up on things. Renee tells her about the Mermaid Parade and Brittany. Renee tells her why she feels the way she does, Brittany stirs up feelings for her about her ex-husband and father. Marissa doesn't care for people who cooperate because her boyfriend was sentenced for 5 years for narcotics when someone ratted him out to soften up their sentence. Then Renee invites Marissa to the Hamptons to join the girls. She warns her Brittany has a mouth on her, Marissa says she does too.

Shopping for Health Food
Is not Ang's favorite thing

Big Ang and Drita are go shopping for some health food on doctors orders. They talk about Drita's book. Lee doesn't want her to do it. Ang tells her she should share her story if she wants. Ang says she heard about the Mermaid Parade and how Love said Drita set up Carla. Drita is disgusted that after three years this BS story between Carla and Love is just now coming out. Ang says she doesn't believe a word Love says. Drita says if she was standing there she would have helped Carla. Now Carla jumped on the bandwagon with the others. Drita says Renee and Karen bashed Carla everyday for a year. Carla disappeared off the face of the earth and then came out from Karen's ass and then jumped into Renee's. Ang tells her she was invited to the Hamptons. Drita tells her to go and relax. Ang says right now Drita is the odd man out. Drita says Ang should tell them she has never seen faker girls, never in history. She wants them to talk to her one by one to her face because they are lying.

Storm has no time to talk about the relationship

Karen meets up with Storm. She says they can't move forward until he understands how she is feeling. He is concerned with his business and making money. She wants to talk about their relationship. She doesn't want to argue or fight. He says he is handling his business and money and has no time for this conversation. She wants to build a relationship but he leaves her sitting there. Karen is pissed he can't make time for her. "Enjoy your life Storm." and she leaves. This relationship has has more than it's share of ups and downs. I hope Karen takes the time to think about whether they can move forward or if she should cut her losses. Every woman deserves to be loved and appreciated and listened to.

The girls meet up at Karen's house to go to the Hamptons. Brittany and Renee greet each other. Brittany isn't concerned with Renee and her opinions. Renee still has reservations. Ang, Marissa and Carla are there, Marissa is introduced to Brittany and they all get into the limo to have fun with a few drinks on the way to the Hamptons. Marissa is a killjoy according to Brittany. She is complaining about the lack of air in the car. They finally arrive. The house is beyond beautiful. Marissa doesn't understand the excitement, it's a cabin in the woods and she'd rather be at the Ritz. Carla looks for Renee, she is sleeping. Renee is going to relax while the others go have fun. Marissa says she is reserved and not wild, while Brittany is a partier.  Ang tells them Drita is bugging out about her book and Lee doesn't want he to write it. Karen thinks this is karma for the way she flipped out over her book.

Will Lee ever support Drita?

Carla wants to know why Drita got so mad at Renee. Ang says she said it was all bulls*t. Karen says no, no, no, Love told her a long time ago Drita came to her house and said she was not sticking up for Carla. Carla says Love told her that Drita said she could do whatever she wanted to Carla, she didn't care. Ang asks if she believes Love? Carla says no she doesn't. Ang says Love is just a lying troublemaker. Karen wants to know what makes Drita more believable? Drita has been saying Carla is not a friend "like that" she has the mentality of a "mothball." Karen and Carla consider what Drita said and it seems to give credibility to what Love was saying. Carla said she considered her a good friend of hers and stuck up for her 100% and she talks this way about her, if anyone is fake and phony it's Drita. Brittany wants to know what does it mean that she wasn't a "friend like that?" Marissa is annoyed that Brittany is butting into a conversation when she doesn't even know Drita. Ang tells them that Drita called them all phonies. Carla wants to know why. Ang says because they all hated each other and now they act like best friends. Karen says when she gets back home the first thing she is going to do is call Drita because she doesn't talk behind her back, she has to say it to her face. Carla says they didn't come to the Hamptons to talk about Drita. Karen says Drita doesn't value friendship. Just makes me miss Ramona, who had Drita pegged from day one with her "Flip-floppin' floozie."

Drita's house. Drita is home writing her book and Lee doesn't have her back about the book. Giselle walks in and watches Drita write. Giselle wants twenty bucks for helping her. They have a little chat about "daddy." The story goes from happy to sad to happy she tells her daughter. Reliving her past is one of the hardest things she has ever done. Her two girls always have her back. Drita is determined to write her book whether Lee likes it or not. I'll believe it when I see it.

"Lush" is the new buzz word of Season 6
If you are playing a drinking game tonight, this is the word you want!

Back to the Hamptons, next day. The girls have hangovers and Renee is rested. Brittany strolls in and then Marissa. Brittany keeps talking about drinking and Marissa says she can't hang, especially with this lush. Brittany doesn't know what a "lush" is. Renee explains it's someone who likes to drink and Brittany says she likes to have fun. Brittany doesn't care for Marissa's "sober" attitude. Carla wants to fill Renee in on what happened yesterday. Carla says she didn't just call Renee a fake and phony but everyone except Ang. Renee wants to know why not Ang? Renee says she and Ang had a huge argument and were able to say they were sorry and work through it. So if Ang isn't being a phony to Renee what the hell is Drita's problem? Carla says in the last couple of years Drita has become a whole different person, she acts like she is JLo walking down the street. Renee thinks Drita needs to sit down and talk to every one of them except for Renee because e she doesn't give a flying f*ck what Drita thinks.  Renee is done talking about Drita.

Carla is in the mood for good wine. They are at a vineyard, tasting some wine, and Marissa doesn't like some of the wines while Brittany is busy finishing every glass. Marissa is really tired of Brittany always being focused on alcohol. They go outside and take a walk around the vineyard grounds and have a seat. Carla says she is having a little cocktail party that night with all her friends. Marissa calls Brittany a lush one too many times. Brittany says she likes to drink and have fun, she's good. But Brittany takes offense to Marissa's taunting and wants her to shut up. Marissa is not about to change her tune. Brittany is tired of being judged, she wanted to break her glass and stick it in her throat. Marissa says she was saying it in fun. The two have a little argument, yelling in front of the others. Brittany says don't worry about how many drinks she has. Now, if you are wondering how many drinks Brittany had this episode don't ask me, I was too busy blogging.

P.S. Mob Mistress wants to know why Drita is orange? Or does the color on her television need adjusting.

The RECAP for the first episode Mobbed Up Mermaids  HERE

Mob Wives: Recap "Mobbed Up Mermaids" Ep 601

Drita is not happy with Karen
Opening clip

And we're BACK in business!  Season 6 takes off with a Big Big Bang! No more Natalies, but Carla is back and she has a new attitude!

Karen calls Drita a B*tch a couple of times

Opening clip: Karen and Drita face off with their allies, Marissa and Brittany, sitting along side them. Brittany was introduced to the group by Karen, but she is now aligned with Drita. How did that happen? Drita is in a rage and upset about something Karen said. What else is new? The tension builds up quickly and they both get up to attack each other. Security acts quickly to haul off both Drita and Brittany, while Drita yells, "You're dead Karen! Dead!" And Karen responds back with "You don't want to hear the truth!" a la Jack Nicholson (A Few Good Men).

Another sit down gone wrong as
Drita gets hauled away by security

The filming begins Three Months Earlier:

Staten Island. Karen wants to make sure Karina enjoys New York City and all it has to offer.  Karina is now a teenager, all grown up and reminding Karen of how much trouble she gave her own parents. Renee surrounds herself with loyal people. She stops by Karen's and sees how mature Karina is now. Renee and Karen agree they are happy to be free from all the Natalie drama. (Can we all say Amen to that!) Renee says her Mob Candy business is getting a float for the Mermaid Parade with costumes. She invites Karen and Karina to join her and wear the Mob Candy jewelry at the parade.

Ang is at the doctor's office. She is being examined. Ang had surgery a few months ago for throat cancer. She gives Neil credit for staying by her side the whole time. She was in the hospital for 9 days. Recovery was terrible. The doctor wants her on a healthy, organic diet. He wants her to exercise. He also wants her to stop smoking. It's overwhelming. It's cramping her style. She is set in her ways. Just like Ang to keep her sense of humor during such a difficult time in her life.

Drita's House.  Drita says they have a normal household and family. They are happy. (unless she wants to write a book and then the trouble in "paradise" begins). She is taking her girls to the neighborhood where she grew up, in the projects. Aleeya is a teenager. Drita wants her girls to see how little she had growing up and appreciate everything they have. Drita tells them s story about a friend she had who wasn't allowed to go to her house because she lived in the projects. She wants them to see where she started and how far she has come. Drita is nervous to tell Lee about the book, the girls think the book is a good idea.

Renee meets the girls at the park

Renee, Karen, Drita, Ang meet up at the park. Drita tells them she wants to write a book even though it's hard for her to relive the past. Renee tells them about the Mermaid Parade and float. Karen wants to invite her friend Brittany. Karen tells them about Brittany's father, John Fogarty, who cooperated. That word unsettles Renee. She doesn't want to open her own old wounds involving people who cooperated. Renee seems to have a knee-jerk reaction when it comes to the word "cooperate." It stings. She associates the word with pain, betrayal, loss of loved ones. I don't think she can help it. It's just like the word "rat," it evokes strong feelings. It's part of the lifestyle and the way she was raised. Karen, however, gets insulted because of her own experience twenty years ago and she feels she is being judged all over again because her father cooperated.

Brittany Fogarty is introduced. Her father, John Fogarty, and her mother Andrea Giovino both were in the mob. Brittany is bored with Pennsylvania. She moved back from LA to be near her mother and boyfriend. She wants to move back to Staten Island where the rest of her family lives. He mother is worried for her because the people there still remember her father and his problems. Brittany doesn't want her life to be dictated based on what her father did. Her mother is upset about this decision.

Ang is being forced to close the Drunken Monkey because she is a felon. She and Neil go to the bar to pick up whatever things she wants to take with her. Drita pops in. She tells them her customers are devastated the place is closing. Someone reported them to the liquor licensing board. And with that the place is closed . . .  it's over . . .  gone . . .  done.

Karen is disappointed in Renee
for the way she is treating Brittany

Karen's house. Renee shows up. Karen is paying bills. Karen has to address an issue she has with Renee. She is very disappointed at the way Renee reacted when Brittany's name came up. Renee says Karen got very defensive. Karen says "20 years ago I was Brittany." Renee knows what Karen had to deal with because of her father. But, Renee doesn't want her whole circle to be full of people who are related to people who cooperated. It makes her uncomfortable. She doesn't know Brittany so why does she have to add her to her circle, especially when it brings up negative feelings. Karen wants to have a relationship with Brittany because of the relationship Sammy had with her father. Karen says Renee is her friend and her sister, but she doesn't want this drama. Renee feels she is entitled to her opinion, she doesn't like what Brittany's father did. Karen says that makes her think back to how people treated her when her father cooperated and how she felt. She doesn't like it. Renee understands and out of respect for Karen she is going to be nice to Brittany, but won't trust her. I'm not prepared to call Renee a hypocrite or say she is wrong right now.  She may not be able to help how she feels because the word triggers a lot of negative memories and feelings.  Moving on.

Renee's house. AJ and his fiancee, Andrea are there. It's the day of the Mermaid Parade. Karen and Brittany arrive for makeup and costumes. Renee is going to pay extra attention to what Brittany says and does. Carla arrives to get ready. Carla is glad she has repaired her friendships with Renee and Karen. Drita isn't going to join them because Carla will be there. Carla says it doesn't make any sense. They didn't have an argument or exchange words, so why doesn't she want be around her? Oh I know I know!  Maybe because she feels guilty about double crossing someone who was a real and loyal friend to her for three seasons and can't look at Carla in the eye. Guilt will do that to you. Or maybe, as some people have suggested, Lee ("the King of his castle"), forbid her from hanging around with Carla and Drita complied?  Maybe a little of both?  Oh well, on to the parade.

Love apologizes

Coney Island. As soon as they get there Love comes running over to greet Karen. Carla is stunned to see Love. Renee greets Love. The last time Carla saw Love she was attacking her, so she isn't happy at all. Love immediately extends her hand to Carla and says "I'm really sorry I really owe you a big apology." Carla is shocked that after two years she is getting this apology and she is skeptical. Love says, "I'm sorry, I really do owe you a big apology. It's my fault, it really is. I'm really sorry. Instead of talking to you directly, I let someone who was a friend of yours speak for you. And, Drita's definition of "friend" is different than what our definition of "friend" is." Carla responds with, "Drita said something to you about me?" Carla doesn't trust Love, but at the same time she feels it could explain the weird way Drita has been treating her.

An unhappy, skeptical Carla listens to Love

Carla wants to hear what Drita said to Love.  Love says, "The night before [the altercation] she [Drita] was at my house saying, 'I'll make sure Carla's there and I'll walk away." Renee can't believe what she just heard Love say. It translates into Drita setting Carla up. Love goes even further and says Drita told her, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, you gotta take care of this blah blah blah and pushing me towards this situation. She said a hundred times, I'm not friends with Carla like that." Love turns to Carla and adds, "Actions speak louder than words. Did she defend you at that moment or no?" Now Carla thinks back and remembers right before the altercation with Love, Drita left the room. Love says they can talk about it another time and not spoil the day. Carla wants to talk to Drita. Love says good-bye to the ladies. Renee wants the day to be about Mob Candy and Mermaids. I do hope there is a lot more to this story later in the season. I can't figure out why Drita would set Carla up unless something happened we didn't see.

Drita's house. She calls Lee to tell him she is writing a book. He says, "What do you mean writing a book? Go see a f*ckin' shrink. I don't want to be in anybody's book." Drita argues with him and says she is writing it. She feels he should support her. She went to visit him in prison and stood by him. She is so upset by his attitude she is shaking.  Who is surprised at Lee's reaction? No one. I'm surprise d he didn't order he to bring him a cherry coke and a provolone for lunch.

All the ladies deck out in Mob Candy Bling!

Mermaid Parade is full swing. Carla's head is spinning from what Love told her, while she is trying to have a good time at the parade. Karen thanks Renee, it's her first time at Coney Island. Brittany tells them her mother doesn't want her moving back to Staten Island. As Brittany talks about her parents and how it came about that her father cooperated, Renee is getting more upset. Brittany says her mother convinced the father to cooperate so she could stay home and raise the kids, but Renee says it was to cover her own ass. Renee speaks up and Karen gets upset. Brittany compares herself to AJ. Brittany says her mother put her kids first, above everything. Renee says, "Your mother was wrong." Brittany tells Renee "you talk about my mother I will charge you." Renee is upset at the lack of respect. Renee doesn't like outsiders. Renee's eyes are open!

There you have it. The storylines are set up, but I think there will be so many twists and turns we will never see coming. I am already wondering how Brittany, who was brought into the group by Karen, turns out to be BFF's with Drita?  But I don't have time to speculate, the next episode is already starting!
