Mob Wives: Brittany, Flip-Flopping Or Flipping Off?

We just got around to listening to Brittany Fogarty's interview with AfterBuzz TV Mob Wives Aftershow which took place after episode 4, "Flip-Floppers and Party Hoppers," aired.

After a little chit chat about the recent blizzard, her modeling, her boyfriend and some family talk they get around to the talking about the show. Brittany feels that the other mob wives don't respect what she has to say because she is the youngest at 25, and doesn't understand. She says that they can't wrap their heads around the fact that someone younger than they are can see through them. Brittany says, her mother, Andrea Giovino, always put her kids first. No matter how difficult life got, Brittany says her mother was a strong woman who never let them see how upset she was and she was more of an idol and inspiration to her growing up. Her father, John Fogarty, wasn't too happy with her joining the show. He didn't want her to be associated with the mob in any way. Her brothers think the show is funny and they laugh about it. Brittany says things were rough in her relationship with her dad, who got out of prison when she was 11. But they are working on their relationship. Her maternal grandmother ran illegal card games for wise guys in the basement her Brooklyn home. She had 10 kids and she would make them hang up their coats and serve them drinks. When Brittany's brother was four, her grandmother bought him a pocketknife for Christmas and taught him how to use it. At 18 months Brittany's family relocated to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They often went back to Staten Island to visit family and spend time there. She says she misses LA where she has been living recently.

Now for the episode chat. "Flip-Floppers" in the title refers to Brittany. The interviewer says she understands Brittany's frustration with Marissa because Marissa is just looking for every excuse not to like Brittany. Every episode she takes shots at Brittany. Brittany says she is still trying to figure out why this girl is so concerned with what she is doing and who she is talking to and how much she is drinking. She feels Renee has brainwashed Marissa into not liking her from day one. And if she wants to call her a "lush" she really doesn't care, but it's the antagonist intention behind it and the way she kept saying it to provoke her. Why is she looking to start a problem with someone she doesn't know from a hole in the wall? Brittany and the interviewers feel that Brittany is Marissa's storyline. She says in every scene Marissa is taking about her like she has nothing else to talk about. I have to agree with Brittany on this point. This is exactly what I have seen in the first four episodes. The whole "lush" scene at the Hamptons seemed to irritate the other women and I felt like Marissa was really trying to provoke Brittany into a fight at the pool or at the very least, set the tone for future episodes.

As far as the "Flip-Flopper" thing goes, she thinks the women cannot handle the fact that she likes Drita, it's as simple as that. They ask her how can she explain the way she spoke about Drita in the Hamptons behind her back and then becoming friends with her.  She owns the fact she spoke about Drita behind her back and in looking back she was wrong to do that, she shouldn't have chimed in because she hadn't even met Drita yet. But, she was hanging around a bunch of women who did nothing but talk about her and bad mouth her for weeks so she chimed in. When she met Drita she found her to be a totally different person than the one they described. She liked her right off the bat. She doesn't feel she should have a grudge against Drita for the problems other people had with her. Brittany denies that Drita "took her under her wing." She says the other women talked badly about Drita to influence her, but Drita never spoke badly about any of them to sway her one way or another. If anyone was trying to manipulate her it would be all the other women who tried to convince her not to like Drita. As for Carla saying Drita took her under her wing, Brittany says Carla must be weak to have been manipulated for three years. Ouch! Maybe if Brittany had watched the previous seasons, and seen it with her own two eyes, she would understand where the other women are coming from. Drita has not been loyal and is not "friend" material. Sometimes, when you are young, you have to learn things the hard way. Like Carla said, give it enough time and Brittany will be the new "mothball," especially if she decides to move to LA and disappear. They soon may not be "friends like that any more."

Brittany says she watched the first season of Mob Wives when it aired four years ago. When she was asked to be on the show she made the decision not to go back and watch the other seasons so she wouldn't have preconceived ideas about all the women because those issues have nothing to do with her. She is going to meet them one on one and base her opinions on how they are with her. Now that filming has ended she is still friends with Drita and Ang. She says she enjoys the show.

They ask if she is close with Karen now. Brittany says, "No, oh no." Then adds they got into a twitter war last week.  She says she thinks it's because she formed a friendship with Drita in spite of their efforts to keep that from happening. The interviewers are shocked to hear about the twitter war because Brittany and Karen were getting along great, especially in episode four. Brittany says you have to see how her relationship with Karen plays out. They were friendly in the beginning, but these women are so black and white, it's either team Drita or team Karen and she doesn't see it like that. None of their issues had to do with her. But her friendship with Drita had a lot to do with hurting her relationship with Karen. She says they haven't filmed the Reunion Show yet, but they will be doing that next week. She is looking forward to it. As for how she got on the show, she went through the regular casting process and was hired by Jennifer Graziano, who she thanks. Fans think Karen brought her around and got her the job.

They go over the Twitter War tweets. Karen calls Brittany fake and her story about visiting her father in prison fake. Brittany says that's why people are delusional. Now that they aren't friends she wants to say her whole story is fake, but when they were friends she was saying how close their fathers were. She thinks sometimes people forget what they say. Brittany says it all started when Karen tweeted she had no loyalty because she was friendly towards Drita at the gym. But Drita never said anything bad about her except she had a tanning bed in her house. Brittany didn't think that was such a big deal because it's true Karen had a tanning bed. The interviewer says yes, but maybe Karen is pissed because Brittany started the conversation with Drita and kind of stirred the pot. Brittany agrees but says how can she address the elephant in the room when Drita knows all these women talked about her in the Hamptons? Is she supposed to go in and pretend she doesn't know anything? The fact remains that none of these other women's issues with Drita are her issues, so why should she have a chip on her shoulder when it comes to Drita?

It ends with one of Brittany's quotes: "Be strong, put your lipstick on and get the f*ck out there."

In my opinion Brittany did a great job handling all the questions and her answers came across as truthful from her point of view.

Mob Wives: RECAP "Flip-Floppers and Party Hoppers," Ep 604

The Episode all leads up to this moment!

Drita meets Ang at a fancy restaurant. Drita considers Ang a real friend, the only one who has had her back. I guess Drita forgot all the times Carla had her back? Drita says she is going to put Ang in the book about her life. Ang is a legend in Staten Island. And, of course, she can't leave out all those fights at Ang's Nocturnal Bar. Ang tells her she can't have a bar any more, her bar days are over. No bar, no money. Ang says Neil has to start contributing. Ang tells Drita she is throwing herself a birthday party with all the girls. Even though she is short on money, no expense will be spared. Neil will probably have to work 5 years just to pay for that party. Ang tells her how Carla was freaking out when she found out Drita told Ang about her ex-boyfriend. Ang knows she did it out of concern. Drita is getting hot under the collar and talks about violence again. Ang thinks they can talk at her party and straighten it out. We all know how those party "talks" always end up . . . hair pulling and no cake!

Renee's house. Renee is trying to keep herself in a happy and healthy space. She is gardening and doesn't know what's up with Drita. Karen shows up and says she had a rough weekend. She has problems with Storm. She says while she was out with the girls the phone kept ringing and she didn't see it. It was Storm asking her where she is. Meanwhile, he hangs out all night working at the club and that's okay. He went to Karen's house to wait for her and he had been drinking and acting crazy. He grabbed her phone. Now her phone is broken. He was disrespecting her. Karen feels things are out of control, no coming back from it, it's just over. This isn't the first time there have been problems. The same problems. Maybe couple's therapy is in order here, but I doubt Storm would go for that.

Ang is fed up with paying all the bills

Ang's house. Ang says her bills are piling up. Neil got a second job with her brother in construction, but he still doesn't bring home any money. There is no money coming in, she can't pay the bills by herself. He works every day, but Ang says she has yet to see a pay check. She says he doesn't pay for anything. Neil says she chose to buy expensive things and an expensive house. He says he wants to be with her, but  she doesn't want to be with him. Neil leaves for work. "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out." Ang should have known that Neil could never support her in the lifestyle the wise guys got her accustomed to on the salary of a sanitation worker. This relationship was doomed form the get go. Neil seems like a nice enough guy if only he could win the lottery.

Karen's House. Brittany comes over to visit. They chat about their fathers and how close they were. Karen says Brittany reminds her of herself, they went through similar situations. Their fathers were in jail together, they knew the same people. They were very close and had each other's back. Karen tells Brittany about the early release program and filing papers to get her father out early. But Karen says everyone's got something to say, like Victoria Gotti Sr. who commented about it to the media. Karen is sick of them attacking her father. Karen is so over the Gotti's pointing the finger and they need to take responsibility for what their father did. Ang sets up the warehouse sitdown

Manhattan. Drita is sick of people bringing up things from the past. Sure she does, because when you set people up and sell them out you don't want that coming back to bite you in the ass. On the other hand, when she is meeting with an agent about getting her story published, Drita doesn't mind revisiting the past. She pitches her story to an agent. She tells the agent she lived in the projects, she was a soccer player, she chose a bad path at 17 or 18 and got involved with a street guy. She got caught up in shoot outs, got shot at.  She says she came from nothing and never even went to a restaurant. Then she dates someone who lavishes her with expensive gifts and a lifestyle that looked good to her. The agent wants to know if she is going to talk about all this in her book. Drita says she has to. The Agent says Drita has to submit a proposal with some of the stories of her life so she can get a feel for it. The agent says it sounds like an interesting, unique story. The agent better have a ghost writer handy to tackle this book. I want to know if Drita plans to write about Karen in her book after giving her hell for mentioning Lee?

Carla arrives at the warehouse dressed "to kill"

Brooklyn. Carla, Renee, Kim and Etty meet for a meal and wine. Renee wants to fill them in about what's going on, but Carla speaks up. Carla tells them about the Mermaid Parade and all of a sudden there is  Love and she told her what Drita did. Then she found out that Drita betrayed her by telling Ang her business about her ex-boyfriend. Carla feels sad and betrayed. Renee says Drita has a different definition of friendship. Renee thinks it's funny Drita blames her for all the problems when she is starting fights with everyone. Renee mentions Ang's party and they will all be there at the same time. Carla just wants to know what her problem is. I think her problem is guilt for the way she treated Carla after Carla defended her and had her back for three seasons. Only a million viewers were witnesses to that. And then we jump to "we aren't friends like that" and the "mothball" comment. Drita is the only one who can connect those dots.

Renee arrives at the warehouse 

Ang's Party in her sister's yard. "The cancer free, 55th birthday party." She says no way Neil is coming to her party after the argument they had. Renee says she isn't in the mood to see Drita. Carla loves Ang's parties. Karen says they all have issues, but no one has issues with Ang and they are there to support her. Brittany is excited to spend time with all the girls. Drita arrives and isn't happy seeing all the girls there. But, she goes over and kisses Renee and Karen. They seemed shocked. I did a double take. Carla says if Drita wants to speak to her she will have to go over to her. Drita loves the yard.  Marissa goes over to the girls, but isn't happy to see Brittany there.  Drita and Marissa meet when Marissa wishes Ang a Happy Birthday. Drita says Ang told her Marissa said she snubbed her. Marissa reminds her about the details of the incident. Drita says Marissa's boyfriend, Jamie aka O.Z. was like a brother to her so she would never snub his girlfriend. Drita explains that she thought Marissa was with someone she didn't care for or respect at the time. Marissa isn't sure what to think for now.  Drita tells Ang she is a friendly mother f*cker. (Until she isn't.) Got to hand it to Marissa for telling Drita exactly how it is.

Carla is pissed Drita won't go over and talk to her. Don't hold your breath Carla. Ang says the group is divided and they are making no attempt to make up. Ang tells Drita she should talk to Carla. Marissa notices Brittany is hanging out with Drita after all she had to say in the Hamptons about her. Carla is sick of Drita staring at her from across the room. Suddenly, a jerk at the party (who coincidently looks like the stalker that waddled away from Drita's store) says Karen's father is a rat. Karen overhears him and calls him out on it. The guy was shaking in his shoes. Karen wants him to say it to her face not behind her back. He won't repeat it. He looks all around trying to find a way to escape. Karen tells him she doesn't want him to disrespect her father. Of course they have the guy remove from the party before things get out of hand. He was dressed like he was going to a ballgame and didn't even look like he even belonged there. Drita decides she doesn't want to talk to Carla at this point because there is too much drama. I guess that's as good of an excuse as any. Even if they did talk, Drita would have to scream at the top of her lungs to drown Carla out because Carla is in the right and Drita has no good explanation for the way she has been treating her.

Karen takes her seat at the warehouse sitdown

Storm and Karen meet at the park. Karen has reached her stress limit. She is giving him back his stuff, it's in her trunk. They are not seeing eye to eye. Karen gets emotional. He doesn't get it that she needs to express her feelings, they need to communicate. Karen knows they love each other, and they are on the same team, but they have to work on communication and their unresolved issues.

Cabo restaurant. Ang is meeting up with Carla and Marissa to see if they remember what happened at the party because she was so drunk she can't remember anything. Carla asks about Neil. Ang says they aren't getting along. Marissa tells them Drita admitted she snubbed her and apologized. Carla was surprised to hear that. Marissa wants to know how Brittany, who was team KG in the Hamptons, is hanging with Drita when she had plenty to say about her in the Hamptons. Marissa says Drita preys on the weak. Marissa doesn't care for flip-floppers and weak people. Carla says Brittany asked her 100 times if she spoke to Drita. Carla says that's her business. Carla says if she and Drita have a problem they should talk it out. Ang says she is going to take matters in her own hands and straighten all these issues out.

Trouble arrives

Everyone else is inside seated, waiting and peaceful

Ang gets a warehouse from a friend for the sitdown. It's just like the wise guys used to do it. Ang says, "Tonight things are going to change for better or for worse." All the ladies are all going to meet and talk. Karen is going there to back up anything she has said or done. Carla wants them all be under the same roof, in front of each other, to put it all on the table. Renee says she avoided Drita at the party, but tonight the bullying ends. Ang wants to end all these problems and move on. Drita says going to this meeting is like going to a "hornet's nest." She is still calling them fake b*tches. With this attitude how can things not go wrong? Drita arrives last. She is ready for a fight.  Next week everyone has their say! DO NOT miss next week's episode . . . called The Sitdown!

Mob Wives: Sneak Peek "Flip-Flopper & Party Hoppers" Ep 604

A new sneak peek was just released by VH1 for Wednesday night's episode.  You may recall that Karen was trying to get her father, Sammy, released early under a new law. And in one episode, when Victoria Gotti was talking to Ang, she mentioned the "Sammy Deal" which she explained meant turing informant for a slap on the wrist. As far as I know, no such expression exists or has been posted online. In the scene above, Brittany and Karen discuss Karen's plans to get her father out of prison early. Then Karen opens the newspaper and reads what Victoria Gotti Sr. had to say about Sammy's release. Needless, to say Karen was not happy. Watch this scene and see what you think.

Making Of The Mob: Recap "A Rising Threat," Ep 104

Dewey and Eunice Carter

Lucky Luciano orders the hit on Dutch Schultz to get Thomas Dewey to back off from the mob. The most uncontrollable gangster is killed, and the threat to the New York mob is elminiated. By 1935, Luciano and his crew are living the high life and making the modern equivalent of over a hundred million dollars a year.

The mob begins to expand. Meyer Lansky revolutionizes the gambling rackets inventing the first modern casinos by transforming low-rent gambling dens into high-class establishments. Vito Genovese's heroin racket pulls in millions of dollars a year, but he decides to diversify into poker games which are fixed in his favor. He lures in unsuspecting businessmen, but makes sure he always wins. Bugsy Seigel makes sure the money is collected and that the mob's authority is understood. As a member of Murder, Inc., he carries out the orders sent down by the commission. Frank Costello keeps the authorities at bay using his connections with corrupt politicians and law enforcement to make sure business runs smoothly. They paid off politicians. Lucky Luciano was a creative genius who understood how to run a business.

Luciano meets a showgirl that catches his eye. They begin seeing each other.Luciano moves into a residential suite at the Waldorf-Astoria, the City's fanciest and most expensive hotel. He begins to settle down and build a life with his new girlfriend, a 20-year-old Broadway dancer named Galina "Gay" Orlova.

Luciano decides to diversify his own operation by taking advantage of the illegal business of prostitution. He wants a cut of the brothels. He streamlines the prostitution business. He soon has a citywide network of 200 brothels,  madams and prostitutes paying a percentage to the Mafia. He is making 12 million a year, the modern day equivalent is 200 million. Lansky advises Luciano against his dirty business. He tells them these girls get diseases, they need doctors. Luciano is annoyed. So Lansky asks him if he is okay dealing with all these drug addicted women who would turn him in for some heroine? Or an army of pimps who would sell him out? He tells Lucky he is risking everything they have built. Luciano ignores the warnings of his trusted friend. Within months he's living a double life, spending days with his girlfriend and nights at his brothels. His favorite brothel is run by a madam named Cokey Flo.

Prosecutor Thomas Dewey has named Luciano his number one target for years. Luciano's rackets are so well organized that bringing him down is nearly impossible, but Luciano is about to play right into his hands. Dewey brings in an ambitious young investigator named Eunice Carter, an assistant district attorney and the first African American in New York City to serve in that capacity. Carter quickly discovers that more than half the city's prostitutes are connected by the same bail bondsmen, a known criminal with ties to the mob, and the same attorney. It's enough of a break for Dewey to bring in a booker tied to Luciano's prostitution ring, Vincent Pastore, but the questioning leads to a dead end. Pastore refuses to break the mob's code of silence and swears he has never seen Luciano before. Lansky tries to warn Lucky again that Dewey is coming after him and has half the city council's support. Lucky tells him it's a good thing they have the other half. Lansky tells him he can't buy Dewey, but Lucky answers everybody's got a price.

The wiretap that is the beginning of Luciano's arrest

Carter decides to use the latest technology in wiretapping to try to trap Luciano. Dewey's investigators listen to hundreds of hours of calls, and finally hear a booker mention Luciano by name. This gives Dewey the evidence he needs to issue a warrant. Dewey organizes a citywide raid on Luciano's brothels, arresting dozens of prostitutes and madams, but he fails to find Lucky. Lucky escapes. Dewey interrogates one prostitute. Dewey tells her he has a long list of charges against her which he is willing to expunge for information on Luciano. She reluctantly agrees to cooperate. Dewey sends his people out to find Luciano no matter what it takes.

In order to avoid arrest, Luciano takes his girlfriend Gay, to Hot Springs, Arkansas, the perfect hideout for mobsters. There the corrupt police force has transformed the small town into a mob haven, filled with casinos and gamblers. Dewey issues a nationwide manhunt. Luciano feels safe, but has the misfortune of bumping into a New York detective on the street, who recognizes him and brings Luciano into custody. The most powerful gangster in America has finally been arrested.

Luciano doesn't want to go to trial in New York, and feels he has a better chance of bribing someone in Arkansas. Luciano uses his mob connections to keep himself in the Arkansas jail. He calls Frank Costello, who assures him they are calling in all their political favors. The bribes pay off. The local sheriff, paid off by the mob, refuses to hand Lucky over to Dewey. From a jail cell in Arkansas, Luciano and his gang continue to run their rackets. Vito Genovese continues his heroine operation. Meyer Lansky is overseeing the largest casino racket in the country. Costello keeps using his connections to keep Luciano out of Dewey's reach. And Lucky is still in full control of his empire.

Dewey decides to put pressure on Arkansas officials. He takes his case to the media and names Luciano public enemy number one. He gets the press involved and accuses Arkansas authorities of being afraid to release him into his custody. Luciano becomes exposed nationwide as a notorious gangster. To counteract Dewey's negative attack, Luciano launches his own press campaign denying any and all connections to prostitution. The media war goes on for days. Luciano believes he will be released, it's only a matter of time. However, Dewey's press campaign has paid off.

Dewey orders a team of heavily armed state troopers to Hot Springs to force Luciano to surrender and to take him back to New York on April 4th, 1936. Luciano tries to bribe the cop taking him back to New York with $10,000. It doesn't work. Lucky gets out on bail and meets with his lawyers and his crew. Luciano has just days to prepare for a trial facing charges of forced prostitution. They are worried that nothing will stop Dewey. Dewey has spent three years building his case against Luciano and now, on May 13, 1936, they come face to face in the New York State's Supreme Court. The prosecution of Luciano was the first time a high ranking mafia boss was facing trial in a courtroom.

Thomas Dewey launches into his case by calling a prostitute to take the stand. She testifies that plenty of girls who talked got burned with cigarettes, tongues cut. She says she would see 15 to 20 men a day. Another prostitute testifies she didn't even know what heroine was and that at first it was free and then it wasn't free any more. Dewey calls 68 witnesses. The jury appears to be outraged. Luciano is unphased. He believes it will take more than the testimony of prostitutes to take him down. Then Dewey calls Florence Brown to the stand. She says she is called Cokey Flo because she likes to use cocaine. She says she gets her cocaine from different sources and, when pressed by Dewey, she points to Lucky Luciano as one of her sources. Dewey asks if this cocaine was a gift or a token of Luciano's generosity? She answers, not exactly. She adds, "He knew I was an addict, he knew it was my weakness, so he used it to control me and my girls . . . he said he wanted to run whorehouses like grocery stores . . . people come in, they pay for the merchandise, they leave happy. He wanted to get as many customers in and out as quickly as possible." Things are looking good for the prosecution, but Luciano is determined to make a come back. Against his lawyer's advice, Luciano decides to take the stand in his own defense. A move that could destroy everything.

Mob Wives: Recap "RATalie," Ep 504

Family first and foremost

Before we get into the show let me thank Jennifer Graziano for getting Mob Wives back on track. This is the show we fell in love with! Real Mob Wives talking about traditional mob values like loyalty, respect, la famiglia, snitches and rats. Now if we can only get rid of the “cop caller” we would have a perfect show.

We go right back to where we left off in episode three. Renee and Ang are in the restaurant trying to iron out their problems. Renee blames their issues all on Gnat. Renee never had problem with Ang before Gnat came into the picture. They both want to get past this, and in walks Victoria Gotti. She asks if she can join them at lunch. Renee is surprised and concerned about the family history between the Gottis and Gravanos. Big Ang isn’t good at talking things out and asked Victoria to come and help. Victoria says family comes first and foremost. There is no room for “outsiders.” Renee and Ang are family. Victoria tells them, you don’t let outsiders in. Renee feels they are on the same page. Renee brings up that “filthy, lowlife, degenerate Gnatalie who called her a ‘blow job’ on social media and that ain’t ok with her.” And that Ang still talks to this b*tch after all she has done to her, drives her crazy. Ang says she never has problem with people. Renee thinks Ang’s loyalty was not with her at the club.  Renee felt she was there alone and the rest of them were a “gang.” Victoria agrees that Ang should have gotten up and defended Renee right there and then. Renee is happy. Ang brings up Renee calling her a “clown” and Victoria explains that it’s not that Renee was saying she looked like a clown it’s that Gnat was creating a “circus“ and Ang was going along with it. Acting like a clown. Ang wants to know why Renee is bad mouthing her family. Victoria says family is off limits. Renee explains what happened. AJ put his hand out to two of Ang’s family members to shake their hands and they pulled away, making him out to be a jerk off. AJ is a victim because his father cooperated. Victoria says AJ is the innocent victim and it’s a heavy burden for AJ to carry. Ang agrees and says if she had been there that would have never happened. Victoria says “Rats today come a dime a dozen.” Victoria tells them they need to be tough, loving allies. Stand together. Victoria says her money is on the two of them against anybody. And off jetsVictoria. Victoria was very helpful. But Renee still found it hard talking to Victoria because of her friendship with Karen and she has to go tell her immediately to protect their friendship. She calls Karen to tell her she is coming over.

Drita is in her store on the phone with Lee. Drita tells him she is doing makeup in Philly for an Italian magazine photoshoot. Drita is happy her business is branching out outside of New York. She tells him about Ang’s grandchild.  Lee says, “Maybe you gotta get banged up again?” Lee is a piece of work. They joke about having another baby.

Heart to heart chat

Renee has to tell Karen personally that she sat at a table with Victoria Gotti. Renee is nervous. She tells Karen she met with Ang when all of a sudden Victoria Gotti walked in. Renee says she is Karen’s friend and loyal to her. Karen tells her Gotti and Gravano were a team. Karen says she has been through hell and back because of the lifestyle and so has Victoria and Renee. They were all born into it. Karen doesn’t see Victoria as an enemy. Karen realizes how loyal Renee really is by seeing how upset she is. Renee says Victoria actually understood the Gnat situation, the betrayal and not letting outsiders in. Karen is happy Victoria was able to broker peace between them. Karen says maybe now they can all go out and do something and have a little fun!

Gnat’s house. Whatever. She and London have an apartment in Astoria, Queens. She thinks her friendship with Drita and Ang is important and she now she can be closer to them too. The hell with the funeral business she is supposed to be running right? The dead people can wait, they aren’t going anywhere. Or maybe she is working the graveyard shift there?

She's trying to infiltrate this circle

Karen and Big Ang meet up at an interactive show and have a drink. Renee shows up. They all look great. They are all happy. And here comes Drita. Renee says as long as that “rat,” Gnatalie, doesn’t show up, she’s happy. No one wants to mention Gnat. Renee just has one more thing to say. Gnat has an ulterior motive and is trying to infiltrate their circle and taint it. Drita and Ang don’t want to hear it. Karen says she doesn’t like it that Gnat was going to call the police on her. Renee doesn’t want to deal with anyone who wants to associate with Gnat. Drita doesn’t want to talk about it and let it ruin their night. The show starts and they are cramped into a room with loud music, and people swinging around overhead. Karen says Gnat is petty bullsh*t and when they are together they have a good time. Renee feels Drita and Ang don’t want to hear the truth about Gnat, but it is just a matter of time and they will learn who she really is.

She was going to call the cops on me.

Astoria, Queens, Gnat’s apartment. She says it’s not as big as she would like. Oh well. Drita comes over to see her new apartment. Drita says she hasn’t seen the “rat” side of Gnat. Drita is not going to be told who she can or can’t talk to. Drita tells Gnat she likes the apartment. Nice view from the large balcony. Let’s hope Gnat keeps her clothes on while she is out there. Drita is still pretty chummy with Gnat, so she is in for a rude awakening.

He says I went crazy!

Karen is meeting with the girls, Renee and Ang, to discuss her relationship with Storm. He wants to meet for dinner to talk, and Karen isn’t sure what to do. She tells them he said she is the one who acted crazy and wants to know if she calmed down. Ang says it sounds like he is putting the blame for the situation on her. Renee says she doesn’t care, there are diners open at 7 am, she could have gone to the bathroom there. Karen feels it’s the ultimate disrespect that he brought a woman into her home. Renee says no man in their lifestyle would ever bring a woman home. Karen says they had a huge fight and he would not own his mistake. She tells them he called and he said he didn’t mean to hurt her. They tell her to let him apologize and fix it. See what he says and then re-evaluate the situation.

"In due time you find out who people are."

Drita is at her Philly photoshoot doing makeup. She thinks it’s a great job with good exposure for her. Guess who the next model is . . . Natalie D! Drita mentions she has a friend, “GNatalie Guercio,” from Philly. Natalie tells her to be careful. She tells Drita everyone from South Philly knows everyone. She tells her the story that a friend of hers, who dated Gnat and went to prison. Gnat waited for him to get out of prison. Then one day they had a huge fight and Gnat called his parole officer. Drita freaks out over that. Natalie says in due time you find out who people are. Drita wants to go to Gnat’s house, drag her out and ask her about this story. Drita hates rats.

More Gnat and London walking around Astoria. She is worried about her son’s adjustment to Queens and having no friends. Maybe she should be more worried about posting pictures of herself on Twitter, over and over, with a bottle of champagne between her legs? I mean her son could see it, his friends from school could see it. I’d be more concerned about that, but what do I know? London wants to arrange a playdate for him with 2 girls. Gnat nixes it. Gnat admits she has a big mouth and says whatever she wants. That could be a problem. Duh. She got that much right.

A sitdown about RATalie!

What next? Drita calls a meeting with Karen, Renee and Ang. No one knows what’s up yet. Drita is going to tell the girls what she learned in Philly from Natalie D. She has been sticking up for Gnat and feels bad now. Drita starts telling them about the photoshoot and the conversation she had with Natalie D. She tells them what she learned about Gnat calling her ex-boyfriend’s parole officer. Ang says that’s really bad. Drita thinks hearing about Gnat being a rat from an outsider, who is not in their circle, makes a big difference. Renee dubs her “RATalie,” and adds the b*tch belongs in a sewer.

I told you so!

She's a rat and a cop caller.

Renee says it feels great to say I told you so, but at the same time she is insulted that it took a stranger to make Drita and Ang believe it. Karen is also insulted that Drita wouldn’t take their word for it. It took a third party to convince them. Drita wants to take Ang to go see Gnat and ask her if she‘s “a f*ckin‘ rat.”. Ang feels Gnat is making them look like idiots and jerk-offs because they have been defending her all along. Renee says they made themselves look like jerk-offs by sticking by her after everything they were told. Drita wants to rip Gnat’s head off.

Now what?

Ang goes to meet Victoria once again. She needs advice. Ang just found out the Junior was the informant on her cousin Ronny. Junior pulled the trigger, but he is working with the Feds. Now Ang’s cousin is in trouble and may get life in prison because an innocent person got killed in the robbery. Victoria seems to takes a shot at Karen by saying working with Feds for a slap on the wrist is called the “Sammy Deal.” It’s the sweet deal. I have to wonder if Karen has anything to say about this scene? They both agree a “rat” is the worst, the lowest form. Victoria says the witness protection program today is a joke. Victoria asks how does Renee feel about it. Ang is afraid to talk to Renee because it might send her over the edge and she self medicates. Victoria says ladies shouldn’t fight, a bigger woman should get past these things.

Well, there you have it. Let’s just savor this moment. Why? Because finally, everyone is on the same page about RATalie. I just want to see how she is going to worm her way out of this. While all the other women in the show are related to mobsters, Gnat is related to her brother, who is in law enforcement. Is it any wonder she has the cops on speed dial? Can she convince Drita and Ang that she isn’t a “rat?” Stay tuned.

Mob Wives: Natalie Didonato Calls Gnat a Rat Sneak Peek

"She called his parole officer."

This sneak peek is about episode 4, "RATalie." Gee and I thought we had the perfect name for her!

In this scene, Drita goes to Philly to work on makeup for a photoshoot for an Italian magazine. One of the models she is doing makeup for is the new Natalie Didonato. Drita casually mentions that she knows a friend in Philly whose name is GNatalie Guercio. Natalie D tells her to be careful. Apparently everyone in SOUTH Philly knows about everyone's business. GNATalie's ex-boyfriend was a friend of Natalie's and she tells Drita that when Gnat and her friend got into a fight, she called his parole officer. Drita can't believe her ears! Drita says if this is true, everything Karen said about Gnatalie is true. Drita says calling the parole officer is a "rat" move.

"She is a bonafide f*ckin' rat,

and she has got to go!"

Drita is really bugging out over this news and tries to remain professional for the rest of the photo shoot. What she really wants to do to jump in her care, fly over to Gnat's house and pull her out and ask her if she is a rat. How many times has Gnat called Karen a rat for no reason? Turns out it may be Gnat who is the real rat!

Real Housewives of New York: What The Hell Moments S6E4

Sonja's top is just a little loose, oops.

They are calling this episode “Holla in The Hamptons,” which makes me think it’s about Heather, but who cares? I want to see more about Ghostwriter/Book-Gate!

Sonja is late for her burlesque rehearsal. What the hell is she thinking? She says she is hosting a show for charity but really, is she serious? She is screaming like every move is causing her pain…maybe she is too old for this activity? All the others seem to humor her. It reminds me of the kid’s story, The Emperor’s New Clothes, where no one wants to tell him he is naked and ridiculous.

Carole and Kristen drive to the Hamptons, and Carole is not a fan of the Hamptons but wants to support Sonja. The ladies, Carole, Heather and Kristen, are on the beach with a bunch of young surfing instructors. They have a hell of a time getting into their wetsuits. Heather and Kristen seem to be surfing pretty well, but Carole just can’t stand up on the board. However, she did enjoy her 19 year old instructor Charlie and she didn’t drown.

Sonja is driving to the Hamptons with a car-full of interns, the kind who aren’t smart enough to open a door when a guest rings the bell. Even Kristen suggests Sonja should get one competent intern and maybe even pay them, rather than have an entourage of ignoramuses. The Mercedes seems to be falling apart so they have to stop. Sonja is not at all prepared for her performance tomorrow. Big surprise. She doesn’t know what she will wear, what she will perform, or what she is doing. Ramona is in Africa on vacation, so she is no help. She decides to use vintage 1920’s costumes and she throws something together because she is too cheap to buy a real costume. They sold 500 tickets for this event, can you imagine? Sonja decides she doesn’t want the professional girls behind her for the show, she will do the show alone. She clearly doesn’t know what she is doing, but she’ll do it all alone. Great idea.

Harry must have something, 

but I'll be damned if I know what it is.

Sidebar: Kristen doesn’t get Harry’s appeal. Thank goodness someone else is on the same page as I am. Basically, she disses his looks. I find myself agreeing with Kristen more and more…maybe she is the “smart” one?

Luann and Aviva are paired up…because they both have a strong dislike for Carole. Heather greets Luann. This girl Amanda is in the mix and seems to be irking everyone by intruding into their group. Aviva is “catching Luann up to speed.” The good news is she made up with Ramona, the bad news is she is at war with Carole. Luann can understand that because Carole never had a good thing to say about her. Luann and Aviva are BFFs now...or at least for a minute…or until Luann writes a book.

BFF's until next week?

The seating arrangements are a bit off. Sonja must have a sense of humor putting Carole next to Aviva. Carole was not going to sit next to Aviva, so she and Heather find better seats.

Sonja walks out on stage. There is a wardrobe malfunction almost immediately. I don’t think she filled up her costume very well and was putting on more than a burlesque show. Heather is increasingly annoyed with the rudeness of Amanda, who is talking throughout the show. Carole comments on the show saying, “there is a cringe factor, it’s not Moulin Rouge…but it’s Sonja Morgan.” I’m not as nice as Carole. I think the show was beyond pathetic…maybe I just don’t get burlesque or Sonja?

Amanda: Not the best image I've ever seen!

Amanda turns out to be an image consultant and Aviva’s friend…who is rumored to have been brought in by BRAVO to help Aviva…but the other girls don’t like her. I don’t like her either, so maybe she needs to overhaul her own image? Just sayin’.

Sidebar: I sit here, through all this, patiently waiting for a Ghostwriter-Gate brawl! Bring it!

Luann’s house in the Hamptons…they are grilling steaks. Amanda shows up “like a bad rash” says Sonja, “every time Harry is around.” All the ladies and spouses are there. Can Carole and Aviva avoid each other? Heather dislikes Amanda, she was rude at Sonja’s show and now she wants to “crawl up her ass.” Carole feels awkward at Luann’s house since their past was a little hostile. Carole wants to clear the air and apologize for some of the things she said in the past. Carole and Luann make amends and move forward. They hug. So now what? Luann can’t be Aviva’s BFF?

Who said what? Damned if I know.

Aviva says she was called seven names by Carole, and Sonja can’t imagine it. Sonja supports Aviva about her book. Kristen thinks the whole thing should be let go.  Luann is dumbfounded. Heather and Carole pop into the conversation. Heather says Aviva won’t own what she said. Aviva says Heather threatened her. Heather says Aviva character assassinates everyone and she isn‘t going to be next. Everyone starts talking all at once! Who the hell knows what they are saying? Luann breaks it all up and says they are going to leave Carole and Aviva alone to talk. But they don’t. Luann felt totally out of control in her own house. Amanda continues to irritate the others. She wants to deck Heather. Heather tells her to bring it on! Holla!

Next week more Book-Gate, the story line that keeps on giving! They even drop “F” Bombs, like Mob Wives! Now this I can relate to!

All in all , not a worthwhile episode. How fitting for April Fool’s Day.

In Episode 4: This is the longest leg in Amazing Race history.

This leg is a continuation from last week. Bates and Anthony are the 3rd team to depart. They are on their way to Bali.

Bates and Anthony are on the second flight scheduled to arrive 3 ½ hours later than the first flight.

They are headed to the Monkey Forest. They have to place coconuts in the open and have the monkeys open the coconut. The clue is in the coconut.
Roadblock: Sandy bottom or fruity top
In Sandy Bottom: Transport sand from a river to a brickmaker.
In Fruity Top: Assemble a 'Gebogan', which is a religious tribute.
Bates and Anthony are the last team to get to the detour. They will have to make up a lot of time. The brothers do the Fruity Top.

Dave and Connor are team number two at this point and deserve a lot of credit.  They are racing with an injury. Bates and Anthony are in last place and are doing Fruity Top.

Roadblock: Racers must pick a surfboard, which represents a location from a previous pitstop, and carry it down the cliff to the beach. This will be a memory challenge.

Dave and Connor are team number one and win $5000.00 each.  Pam and Winnie are team number two. Max and Katie are team number three.

Bates And Anthony are making up time.  Jessica and John are arguing and losing time.  This is the team that is gunning for the hockey brothers. Now Wynonna and Chuck are going after the Battaglia brothers. The alliance of the Battaglia brothers, Caroline and Jennifer, are having a melt down.

Caroline and Jennifer are team number four.

Bates and Anthony are in 8th place at this time and gaining time.

Bates picks up the right surf board and puts it back.

Joey and Meghan are team number five.

Mona and Beth are team number six.

Bates and Anthony are team number seven.

Chuck and Wynonna are team number eight.

John is in denial that he may have lost.

Jessica and John are the last team to arrive and have been eliminated with an express pass that they never used. They will go down as one of the dumbest teams in Amazing Race History. This is the team that was going to bring down the Battaglia brothers.

"My daughter is not going to live with anyone!"

In this sneak peek, Karen confronts Dave on the phone. She is very angry with the fact that Karina decided not to move to New York and that Dave is placing their daughter in the middle. They exchange words about Dave's girlfriend, and Karen is angry. After all she has done for him, he isn't doing the right thing by her!
