Mob Wives: Karen's Hot KTV1 Interview

Karen opens up about everything!

Karen recently sat down to chat with KTelevision1 about various topics including her book, spa, future projects, cast members Carla and Drita, porn, one night stands, pool table fantasy and a lot more. Sounds like season three is going to have some drama! It's wonderful to see Karen again, Love her lightened hair color.

I noticed that when KTV1 tweeted the link of the interview to Carla, she called Karen a "clown," on twitter, her favorite word. I guess she di-ent like what Karen had to say about her? Check it out!

"Paranormal Witness: The Tenants" Season Finale Recap Pt. 1

The dark spirits of a family won't let go of their house

It was the year 1970 when Edwin and Marsha Becker, a couple that have been married for 3 years, were waiting for the arrival of their first baby. The couple lived just outside of Chicago and were over-the-moon at how happy their life was together as a little family. “Life was exactly as it should be!” Marsha exclaimed. One day, when Edwin went to pay the rent for the landlady, he told her about Marsha’s pregnancy. However, rather than a “congratulations”, the landlady told them to leave because she allowed no children and pets in the apartment complex they stayed in. Marsha was 7 months pregnant so the couple were desperate to find any suitable place to call home before the baby’s arrival. Edwin took off into the inner-city and found a 2-story apartment building within the city. He was interested in it so he met with his realtor about it. The realtor took him inside the place when the two men came across an old woman named Myra that screamed obscenities at them and told them to get out. “This house is not yours, it will never be yours!” she screamed. The realtor saw how startled Edwin was so he assured her that she was going to be taken to a care home and was just upset because she was the last remaining member of the family that owned the living space.

A young couple's big steps
The men went upstairs into a scattered, cluttered, room. “Paper, clothes, scattered all over the floor!” Edwin recalls. “I thought someone vandalized it!” The realtor affirmed him that it had great potential for his wife and baby. Desperate to shelter his wife and unborn baby, Edwin took it. Meanwhile, Myra kept on giving him the “evil eye”. But Edwin swore he would make a home for his family. When they settled in, Marsha just had her baby and the couple were ecstatic at their new life. “In the first few days, I was so busy that there wasn’t time to think,” Marsha said. Marsha’s prized possession was a very beautiful candy dish that was a wedding present; despite being so busy she made it a habit to leave the candy dish in the middle of the table. When she went to get a tablecloth, she noticed the candy dish was on the other side of the table. During dinnertime, the couple are home at night when the dining room light began flickering but it did it in a way that made Marsha feel uncomfortable; “it was almost in rhythm, like moarse code…fast flashes then one flash,” Marsha recalls of the strange flashing light. Edwin tried convincing her it was just a circuit. Then it stopped. A month later, Edwin woke up at 5am to work. Once he got into work, he called Marsha and heard the phone was busy He figured Marsha was calling family and friends. Few hours later, he calls again…phone is busy again. “I didn’t know who she could talk to all day long!” he said and began to get bothered at how busy the phone was. Edwin came home and was frustrated that he couldn’t reach her all day. Marsha swore she wasn’t on the phone, which made him even more upset.  She saw the phone was on the table but that the cord and receiver earpiece was on the floor. “I didn’t understand why he was upset with me, he should’ve known me better than that,” Marsha exclaimed. One day, Marsha was tending to the baby when the phone receiver dropped again and she couldn’t understand what was wrong but knew it wasn’t good

Every morning, Marsha would wash the dishes from breakfast when she turned around and saw the cabinet door open. All the sudden, the dishes were flying out of the cabinet, all flying in one motion and then slam down to the floor. “That scared me to death and it felt dangerous, very very dangerous!” Afraid to have the place by themselves, the couple decided to rent out the first floor to potential tenants. Dan and Diane White were interested in living downstairs; they responded to an add to rent the place. They were about their age with a brand new baby as well. “I was very excited about the apartment and I saw that Diane could see it as a home,” Dan recalls. Marsha was even more ecstatic to have someone like her in the place. “She was sweet and smiling and had a kind look to her eyes. All I could think about is I was not going to be alone.” Edwin called the next day and told them to move in whenever they wanted.

Wondering what help would be out there for the couple's unusual problem...
Dan would come home from work, Diane would be out and Dan would see chandeliers swinging back and forth. Dan thought it was the couple upstairs walking around that was causing it. But then it would begin to swing on its own again. One afternoon, Diane put her baby in a walker while the women visited. There was no way the baby could touch the floor and move because the baby was so tiny so there were no concerned of the baby moving about. But out of the corner of the eye, Marsha sees something moving. Her mind didn’t accept that the baby was doing that. The baby’s stroller was moving towards the staircase and the baby started wailing and screaming. A panicked  Diane rushes to save her baby in the nick of time, while Marsha felt an overwhelming sensation of guilt because she should’ve told the new tenants the house was haunted. Marsha and Edwin had a talk where she told him there was something in the basement that wasn’t right. Edwin didn’t believe her fully but also wanted his wife to fill at ease. Edwin went down the basement one night and “it was s a cave filled with junk”. He was examining everything in the room. He noticed a particular jar. He opened it up and noticed it had old Monopoly pieces and then noticed that there was a live bullet round in it. He noticed there was a door in the back of the basement and opened it. One side of the house was shoe boxes, the other side was magazines dated from the 1930s. The name “Ben Verdere” was written on every magazine. He began opening up shoe boxes “it was the most amazing things I’d ever seen,” Edwin describes at his discovery. “There were clippings of paper of women. Maybe a tight sweater, a skirt up in the air…” Edwin figured out that Mr Verdere must’ve beenquite disturbed and perverted. Edwin didn’t want to tell Marsha because she didn’t want to add fuel to Marsha’s fear.

One morning, Marsha would take a bath once she put the baby down and Edwin went to work All the sudden, Marsha felt uncomfortable. “I just felt like I wasn’t alone.” She then felt a hand touch her shoulder and she lost it. When she went to reach the phone, the phone fell down. She felt someone was attacking her and threatening her life. Marsha didn’t belong to the church but wondered if a kindly, old priest would come fix the house “to take the evil out”. After contacting a priest, he agrees to come out to help the couple. Edwin thought it was “a bunch of crap” but insisted to help Marsha. The priest comes over and pulls out a goblet, holy water and bible. He reached in his robe and pulled out a holy water dispenser. Marsha was frightened that something was going to happen. Then, the holy water dispenser (which was made of brass) shattered. Even the priest was frightened and packed up to leave.

At this point, even Edwin begins to believe that someone disturbing is haunting the house and his family….

I Interrupt This "Paranormal Witness" Recap...

While I'm in the process of compiling the recap (as usual, Part 1 will be up later on when I'm done with work with Part 2 tomorrow), I have to give a nice shout-out to a dear friend of mine for sending me these in the mail as a Halloween treat, as he knows I started covering this show;

So, whose going to bring the popcorn and the drinks? I'll make the cookies!

Now my (zombie-filled) life will be complete if Norman Reedus (who plays my husband....I mean Daryl Dixon...) will follow me on twitter *cough, cough @janedoeghost, cough*

Before I post the final recap of "Paranormal Witness", I want to give a sincere, BIG thank you to everyone who tuned into the recaps I wrote, who commented and retweeted my posts and who have been so kind to me! I also want to thank those that shared with me their own ghost stories. Last but certainly not least, I want to thank Mob Mistress and Chiara for welcoming me to this blog and bring in some good spooks and scares...Cheers!

Mob Wives: Carla's Handyman Making News!

Carla takes the "5th" on the Boyfriend!

The New York Daily News is reporting an interesting item this morning. It seems Carla’s unnamed, alleged boyfriend was taken along on an alleged drug deal in Staten Island. This situation is said to have occurred back in August 2011. We reported on Carla’s “Handyman” in July 2011. The dates are important because they show this is indeed the same boyfriend of season one who reportedly inappropriately touched Renee and Karen. And just this June 2012, they were heating up the Jersey Shore! However, Carla’s spokesperson states that Carla has no boyfriend and is currently looking for one. Really? Maybe her spokesperson doesn’t have a Twitter account because that’s certainly not what Carla and Handy’s tweets indicate. According to what they say, Handyman and Carla still currently seem to have a hot and steamy relationship and even admit to being “in love.” Check them out for yourself and you decide. The link to the complete Daily News article can be found below!

LOVE is in the air, just a few days ago!

For someone who advertises she doesn't like "fakes," Carla needs to take a good look in the mirror. If you are going to blatantly lie about something, try not to splash it all over Twitter. The only one who doesn't know about this 18+ month relationship seems to be her spokesperson. Will someone PLEASE notify her spokeperson, Claudia Mora!! Thank you.

American Horror Story: Asylum - Tricks and Treats

Bye
We're two episodes in.  Does anyone know what this season is supposed to be about?

The episode opens back up in present day.  Teresa is running from Bloody Face, the most lazily named serial killer of all time.  She runs back to Leo, who is in pretty bad shape as he's bleeding from his missing arm.  She starts to try to drag him to safety but he's too heavy I suppose.  She manages to get into the cell with the doggy door and close the door behind her.  And then she watches Bloody Face stab Leo in the chest over and over.

Could this be the end of Adam Levine?

Spoiler alert: no.  Rumor has it, Ryan Murphy will be keeping him around a little longer even though he serves no purpose whatsoever.

Wendy is regretting having Lana committed to Briarcliff.  She resolves to recant tomorrow.  Well guess what Wendy, tomorrow never comes!  Bloody Face breaks into her house while she is taking a shower.  I suppose we must now realize Kit isn't Bloody Face, since he is committed to Briarcliff as well.  Bloody Face lunges at her.  She says, please no, I'm a school teacher, the kids won't understand.  Yeah, ok.  The guy wearing a face on his face is going to listen to reason.

Meanwhile, Lana is keeping notes about what happens to her in Briarcliff.  She is denied phone calls and so forth.  Sister Jude finds the notes she is keeping in her pillowcase and confiscates them.  Lana calls out that she doesn't need those notes, she has a good memory.  When will these people learn to keep their traps shut?

Sister Jude approaches Dr. Arden saying that Lana is experiencing pain from the memories of her indecent past, blah blah, and would he recommend electroshock therapy to relieve that pain?  Well of COURSE he would, he's a sicko who is keeping some creatures out back.

Kit is brought in to see a therapist, Dr. "Zachary Quinto" Thredson.  Dr. Thredson states the Kit's killings were meant to be a purging of racial guilt that was brought on by him marrying someone who wasn't white.  Kit says some mumbo-jumbo about aliens and I hate this alien stuff.

Kit talks to Grace and says he can't continue to pretend he's crazy.  Guess what kid, you're not pretending.

Dr. Thredson confronts Sister Jude about the conditions at Briarcliff.  He finds them barbaric.  They show a delightful montage of Dr. Thredson skulking about the place, peeping into all the rooms.  He's appalled that they are using electroshock therapy to treat homosexual urges when the current accepted practice is behavior modification.  GET IT???  He's the "progressive" one but it's still ridiculous by today's standards!  Oh, 1964.  Never change.

Sister Jude excuses herself to speak to a family.  Well Thredson doesn't want her speaking to a family so he barges right in.  The mother and father speak about their son, he is depressed for days and then in an instant he will become manic.  Sounds like he's bipolar, right?  Well, well, well, he also hears voices.  And to top it all off, he ate the heart of one of their cows.  And P.S., he's possessed by a demon.

Lana speaks to Grace about trying to escape.  She knows they can escape through a tunnel.  Grace says they have to bring Kit with them, but Lana says, no, he is a murderer.

Then we get a backstory for Chloe Sevigny, and... just no.  Useless character to the max.  She tries to seduce Dr. Arden so he will let her go outside, but he cannot be seduced.  Furthermore, in the last episode the patients were outside anyhow so I don't know what she's so desperate about.

Dr. Arden invites a prostitute to his home for dinner.  He wants her to behave like a classy woman and talk about opera and drink wine.  Then he makes her dress up as a nun, and while she's dressing, she finds some photographs that MAY suggest that perhaps Dr. Arden is Bloody Face.  Hmm...

They start an exorcism on the possessed boy.  His inner demon reveals some backstory for certain characters.  For example, Thredson was adopted, and Jude was a prostitute in her "younger years."  I don't know what years those were.  I think they might have considered hiring a younger actress for that flashback.  Also one time Jude hit a girl with her car and probably killed her but never got out of her car to check.  Cool.

The exorcism causes a power failure which causes all the cell doors to open.  Lana and Grace start to escape, but then they find Kit and he tries to come along.  Lana says no, so Grace says she and Kit will find their own way.  Lana calls the guards for help, saying that Kit is escaping.  So no one gets to escape.  Way to go.

The possessed boy dies, but not before giving Sister Mary Eunice a meaningful glance.  She faints. And now she's possessed.

If I had to describe this show in a word: GRATUITOUS.   I'm not on board with this mess.  Maybe it's more outrageous than last year, but where are we going with this?

At least, so far, not every character is detestable.  But I'm sure once we see more of these people, we'll start to hate them.

What did you guys think?  Do you think this "season" has promise?

Big Ang: Janine Chats With Carmela

Janine with Big Ang at book signing

I got the chance to speak with Janine, Big Ang's sister and she is one busy woman. Falling on the sibling chart as the youngest of seven, which I found surprising, Janine is a very warm compassionate person. Big Ang falls in at number 5 and there is 1 other sister, Donna, who is the oldest, with 4 brothers in between. We got the chance to chat about her life with and without Big Ang.

Thank you Janine for taking the time to talk with me.

Oh, no problem.

After asking where she falls on the sibling chart; I asked about her own family
So tell me, you have 7 children also?

Yes, and there is 20 years difference between my oldest and my youngest.

Wow! That's a big age difference!

Jeannie 16, Sonnie 12, Dominick 19, Allie 21, John 23, Louis 25, Ronnie 5

Tell me a bit about your childhood.

Well, my parents both worked a lot. They got divorced when I was 9. I was raised with my mother and step-father.

I know you were close with your mother, tell me about some memories of her.

She was the soul of the earth. She was a very compassionate person. I remember there was a mentally challenged kid that lived near us and my mother, who didn't drive, used to take the bus to go pick him up so he can spend time over at our house. My mother was like a companion for him.

How about growing up with Big Ang, any stories you can think of?

Well she use to take me everywhere. My mom worked a lot. She used to hangout at the schoolyard and smoke with her friends.  I used to go home and rat her out. She and her friend, Cathy, used to try scaring me. You know, shutting off the lights and stuff like that.  I think about how it was to grow up back then and I see how different it is today. I wonder what these kids are going to do today. I think the social networking influence is a big part of it. I remember Christmas having the whole extended family over and my mother making Orchette  pasta with her thumb.

Big Ang, Steve, Janine

I agree. I can't believe the difference in the past 40 years myself. Do you have any stories to share about your Uncle Sally?

Yes, I have a funny one. I met Dom, my husband, and we had moved in together in my grandmothers apartment, which my Uncle Sally owned. He was in Vegas at the time. When he came home he found out we were living together and he came over with his friend Franky at 5:00 in the morning. He banged on the door and Dom got up. He told Dom he should get out. Dom told him he wasn't leaving and he had good intentions. Uncle Sally told him that he better be married by tomorrow.  Franky said, “Hey tomorrow is Saturday.” Then Uncle Sally said, “Then by Monday.” So we got married on Monday. And here I am 22 years later.

That was quick! How has your life changed since the Big Ang show aired?

Well mostly people recognize you. It's not the special treatment or anything, but it's nice that people want to talk with you and hang out with you. It’s a good feeling.

Your relationship with Ang shows that you are like a mother figure to her. Tell me about that.

I guess because Ang had to work a lot and I stepped in to help with her kids. But mostly it's my personality. I am more business conscious. I'm more of a saver and Ang doesn't think twice about buying something, where I do. It’s funny but I am very protective over her now.

Maybe since now she has some fame?

I don't know but I get very protective with her and I watch who she is with. There's not a day that goes by where I don't talk to her at least 10 times a day. I love my sister.

Drita, Janine and Steve

Do you think the show will see a season 2?

Yes, I do. And I would like them show more of our family stuff on the show. I wish they would focus more on the family dynamics. What we are about.

I know there a lot of funny stories about the days when Linda and Ang hung out at the bars, were you part of that?

No, never. I never hung out at the bars.

Which NY Mob Wife are you closest to?

I would have to say Drita and Carla. I speak to both of them on a daily basis.

An outfit from the Country Mouse

Tell me about the Country Mouse.

Well it's been in business for 40 years and I've owned it for 6. I think I took the store into the 21st century. It has a lot of custom made clothing. I have a great communion dress line.

What's this meatball contest I'm reading about?

Janine laughs. Well, it started as a joke. I was inviting someone over for dinner and I said I would make my meatballs. Then Ang chimes in and says well let me know when they are coming cause I'm going to make my meatballs. And I was like really? So it went back and forth as a joke. But we are going to have a contest, I'm not sure of the date yet.

Keep me posted, I wont want to miss it. Lastly, is there any dish you make that is like your signature dish?

Yes, I make a Genova sauce.

What's in it?

Well, you brown pork, veal and beef. Then you add some sausage, beef and a piece of veal. You cut the onions into strips. There are a lot of onions, like 20 lbs. Then you use 16 beef bullion cubes, water and dry basil. It cooks for like 4-5 hours covered. You serve it with fusilli and grated horseradish on top.

So its a clear white broth?

No, its brown from the meat.

Oh, this is one dish I'm not familiar with. I'll have to try it. Well thanks Janine. It was fun talking. Good luck with everything.

You too Carmela.

I really like Janine. I like the sisterly bond her and Ang share. I take it that although she would like to see family related things on The Big Ang show, if it gets picked up for season 2, that they will probably continue with the BIG lifestyle Big Ang lives. I am going to give the Genova sauce a shot. My boyfriend who is from Bari, Italy has talked about this sauce and I've never attempted to make it.

"The Walking Dead: Sick" S3 EP Recap

The episode starts off with the holed up prisoners looking onwards in shock at Rick, Daryl, T-Dog, Maggie and Glenn as they tend to Herschel to save his life and prevent him from going into shock. Daryl keeps his crossbow out and ready as one of the prisoners draws a gun at him. Daryl keeps his aim at them while Glenn gets the medical supplies and a rolling table to put Hershel on to roll him back into C-Unit to the rest of the crew. T-Dog opens up the door as he slaughters a zombie prison guard and the rest rush to take Hershel out. The prisoners are left dumbfounded at what they just saw. The group rush through the dark hallways, slaughtering zombies that stand in their way. The prisoners slowly walk out of the cafeteria to follow Rick and the crew.

From the left: Big Tiny, Oscar, Axel, Andrew andTomas
Rushing to save Hershel's life
Rick and the rest, sensing that they are being followed, looks behind to see the (human) prisoners trailing behind them but their main focus is Hershel’s life. The group rush Hershel to C-Unit and place him on one of the bunk beds.  Carol commands the group to get towels and more supplies. Daryl stands ready watch with his bow ready at an open gate, where he waits for the prisoners to show up. The prisoners walk into C-Unit, wondering what has happened as they see the array of blood and remains of their fellow prisoners throughout the premises. The prisoners aren’t taking it to well and Daryl and a prisoner named Tomas are having a heated exchange of words (Jane’s notes: I didn’t like that guy the moment he opened his mouth to my husb....I mean, Daryl. I personally felt Daryl should’ve just shot him in the leg and be done with him). T-Dog rushes in, handgun pointed at the prisoners while Tomas is barking at Daryl that this prison is HIS house. Rick rushes out, with Carl locking the door behind him so the prisoners wouldn’t get to where the women, Glenn and Hershel were. One of the prisoners asks why not take Hershel to the hospital. Rick asks how long they’ve been locked in the cafeteria.

They said that they’ve been in there for 10 months. “We heard about dudes gone cannibal and rising back from the dead and walking up. A guard comes in, throws in a pizza and says to stay in…that’s the last we heard from him”, Axel explains. Big Tiny says that was 292 days ago and that they were hoping the Nat’l Guard or the Army would show up. That’s when Rick explains to them that there was no government, no democracy, no police and it was all a complete chaos. “What about our moms, our kids, our old ladies?” Big Tiny chirped in. “Can’t we call them?” Rick has to break the bad news that there are no phones, no computers and that half the population has been wiped out, even more than half possibly. Rick tells the prisoners to see for themselves. The prisoners go outside, powered by the sunlight they’ve been shielded from for almost a year and they see the slaughter of blood and zombies. Rick and the group talk about how they got in and took control over each part of the prison before getting into C-Unit. Daryl explains too how they are all infected. Tomas, being the eloquent gentleman that he is, doesn’t believe Rick and his crew killed them all and once again, pulls out his gun. Daryl pulls out his crossbow (and again, doesn’t use this as a chance to shoot him in the leg) as a warning to Tomas. Tomas is antagonizing Daryl while Axel tries to convince the men to lay down their weapons and see if something can be figured out.

Breaking the bad news
Tomas says that if Rick and the crew can take all those zombies out, then Tomas and the group of prisoners can have a cell unit to themselves. Rick and the crew agree to clear out a unit full of cells in exchange for the food in the cafeteria…and to leave each other alone. Rick warns that if any of the prisoners go within their crew or worse, in C-Unit, Rick will kill him on the spot.

Back in C-unit, Carol, Lori, Maggie, Glenn and Beth decide what to do next to provide medical attention for Hershel, who is still out cold.

Meanwhile, Tomas leads the crew to the area where there are food items like canned goods and bags of rice. Rick opens the walk-in fridge to see that the prisoners used it to relieve themselves.

Back in C-Unit once again, Maggie and Glenn console each other as Maggie opens up about how she fears losing Hershel. She is also concerned about how he will manage to maneuver with only one leg. Glenn consoles her that Hershel has her and Beth and that it will take more than a bitten, infested leg to keep a man like Hershel down. Maggie goes to Beth’s cell to warn her to prepare her for the worst. Beth wonders why Maggie would dare give up on her father but Maggie tells her that while she’s not giving up, she has to come to terms with the reality of the situation.

T-Dog and Rick walk in with bags and boxes of food. Hershel at this point is breathing, but his pulse is down. Rick orders Glenn to take his cuffs, which he does.  Rick tells Lori they will tell the prisoners that they are going to clear a cell for them but really, Rick feels that one option is to kill the prisoners. Lori says that although she’s a “shitty wife and not mother-of-the-year”, she tells Rick that he’s not a killer and he can come up with a better option.  She reminds him to do what he must but to ensure he does it with a clear conscious.

Daryl and the group of prisoners go over the plan to clear out the cell with Rick telling them  to stand together in one unit so they wouldn’t get caught in the middle of the zombie fest . Daryl reminds them to aim their weapon to the walkers’ brain. Meanwhile, Glenn handcuffs Hershel to the bed as a “precaution”. Maggie and Carol overlook. Maggi asks for some alone time with Hershel so Carol and Glenn respect her wishes and leave the cell. Maggie whispers to Hershel to not worry about her and Beth and that they will take care of each other. Maggie sobs to her dad that he can go and leave and rest at peace.

An unlikely crew taking on walkers
Rick and the group are walking down a hallway when they spot a group of prisoner walkers going towards them. The group of prisoners decide to unleash hell and take out their anger on the zombies as Rick, T-Dog and Daryl look on, not knowing how to react with the way the prisoners were going all “prison riot” on the zombies (then again, I don’t know what I would do if I was pent up in a hole for 10 months with 4 other felons so I saw the attack as an unleash of VERY much pent up frustration).

Back in C-Unit, Carl comes in with a case full of medical supplies from the infirmary. Lori confronts him about sneaking out to the infirmary by himself. Carl tells her he killed 2 walkers by himself on the way. Lori is furious that Carl put himself in danger and Carl talks back that he was fine and that he was just trying to help. Beth steps in to tell him to respect his mother.

Daryl leads the way as the walkers come and each of the group takes turns  taking swipes and shots at the walkers. “No more prison riot crap!” warns Rick. Big Tiny slowly walks away to take on walkers on his own. One of the walkers breaks his cuffs and grabs onto Big Tiny and scratches him. Tomas steps in and shoots the zombie. After the area was cleared, it was dead silence.

Carol tells Glenn to come out for a private talk. Glenn resists at first but follows Carol’s orders.

The crew checks Big Tiny to sees if he’s scratched or bitten. Out of the blue, Tomas bashes Big Tiny's head repeatedly with a crowbar, with blood splattering on his face and Big Tiny’s head completely gone…

Bringing out the worst in man
Carol and Glenn walk out the gated walkway when they see a zombie woman. Carol has an extreme idea to use a zombie to practice C-Section with for when Lori goes into labor. Carol pokes the zombie in the eye and opens the gate to retrieve the body as Glenn distracts the group of zombies so Carol can retrieve it. Daryl confesses to Rick that he doesn’t trust Tomas (enter me doing this) and that if he makes one move, to give him the signal to kill him.  Rick says to open a door but the prisoners opens two as moaning zombies gather around the other side. During the zombie infestation, Tomas purposely pushes a zombie into Rick and the zombie is trying to tear at Rick. Daryl immediately saves him and after the zombies have all been slaughtered, Rick decides to give Tomas a piece of his mind (no pun intended) in the form of a machete straight down the middle of Tomas’s head. T-Dog and Daryl take hold of Oscar and Axel as Rick chases Andrew, who runs off. Andrew goes out into a yard full of walkers….but Rick decides he’s had enough of the prisoners putting himself and his team in danger and he locks out Andrew with the walkers, warning him to run for it. He shuts the door and Andrew’s last screams are ringing in Rick ears….

Armed and ready to slaughter!
Back in C-Unit, Hershel’s heart stopped beating and Beth is crying for someone to help. Lori rushes in and begins CPR. As Lori is trying to breathe life into him, Hershel jolts awake and grabs a hold of Lori, causing the girls to scream and pull her back. Carl draws his gun in case Hershel attempts to show behaviors of a walker but Hershel seems very disoriented and perplexed.

Axel tries to convince Rick and the men how the Big Tiny was his friend and that while he liked his pharmaceuticals, he wasn’t a killer and pleads for his life. Rick turns his gun over to Oscar. “I never pleaded for my life and ain’t about to start now so you do what you gotta do,” he tells Rick as Rick rests the barrel of his gun to his forehead.

Rick spares the prisoners their lives and takes them to the cell unit they cleared out. Axel and Oscar are horrified as they see the bodies of their fellow inmates slaughtered and are wondering why Rick and the others would leave them in a place like that. Daryl reminds them that they have it good compared to what’s outside. Daryl also tells Axel that he’s sorry that he lost his friend. T-Dog advises the prisoners to take the bodies outside to burn them.

Back in C-Unit, Carl tells Rick and the men that Hershel stopped breathing and Lori saved him. The crew look onto a breathing Hershel when he slowly opens his eyes. Rick unhooks the handcuffs from Hershel’s hand. Hershel reaches his hand to Rick’s. Rick guides both Maggie and Beth over to Hershel as they embrace him.

Carol is still outdoors experimenting on the female zombie on conducting a C-Section.
In a private moment, Rick and Lori talk about cleaning up the area when Rick reassures Lori that she’s not a bad mother. But she acknowledges she’s a bad wife. Lori said it was a good day because they had food and Hershel is alive. Rick tells Lori it was because of her that she saved Hershel and that the day was good. Lori gives the credit for Rick’s fast thinking. Before Lori can say anything else, Rick tells her “We’re awful grateful for what you did,” before taking off....

Big Ang: Raising Money For Cancer!

The Team!

Looks like the Dollface Divas were successful in helping raise money for charity. Their team raised the most money. Big Ang, her sister Janine, Blonde Linda and Lil Jenn walked to help raise money on behalf of their friend, Darlene Danton Vigliotti. There were over 500,000 people who attended this event. After the walk there was an additional fund raiser held at the Drunken Monkey. They were raffles, gift baskets and a 50/50 raffle. I noticed that Lil Jenn even danced on the bar to help raise money. These girls know how to have fun and entertain everyone all for a good cause. Cheers to this cast of lovely ladies who are helping to make a difference. Enjoy the photos.

Paranormal Witness: The Good Skeleton EP Recap Pt. 2

A bad skeleton and a good skeleton haunt a family's home in a rural city

It was 1999 when Thomas Vuono, a New York City boy, needed to get away from craziness of the city so he took his wife Yuma and their cute little girl Azha across the country to the rural Yuba City in Northern California. The couple fell in love with their new house and they thought it would be good for their dog, Beau. The parents were concerned about living on the corner of a busy freeway because of young Azha and the dog but Thomas and Yuma made efforts to explain to Azha that she should never go on the street. On moving day, Beau constantly barked towards one corner of the yard connected to the garage. “It was a warning bark like someone was approaching but no one was there,” Yuma explained. There was a fence around the yard that was 10 ft. high and Thomas wrapped the barring wire around the fence multiple times to secure it. Poor Beau wouldn’t stop barking for the longest time. Yuma began to feel scared because Beau never barked unless there was danger. All the sudden, Beau suddenly stops barking.Yuma thought someone was touching the dog because that’s when he stopped barking. Thomas rushed out to see what happened and headed towards the one corner of the yard. He wasn’t in the yard. Thomas thought maybe someone let him go and tied up the wire but the wire was still secured. Thomas called and whistled to Beau. Beau wasn’t responding to Thomas’ whistling. Thomas became frightened at this point and went to search for him with a flashlight. Thomas flashed his light near the road….

Beau was lying dead on the front lawn and that’s when Thomas saw tire tracks on the street.

Thomas noticed the tire marks and came to the conclusion that Beau got hit but he noticed that the car must’ve veered off the road and was distracted, hitting Beau. Yuma ran out to the yard, kneeling down to Beau and was crying as little Asia was calling out to him and patting him on the head, hoping for a response. “I thought it was going to be a happy time, a new start for our family,” Yuma explained. “But it was a horrible start.” Yuma and Thomas were convinced someone let Beau out. It was the next day and Yuma noticed that in Azha was in her room having a full conversation with “somebody” but no one was in the room and this bothered Yuma because she never had any imaginary friends before. When Yuma asked Azha who she was talking to, Azha said she “was playing with Nick.” The family didn’t know anyone named Nick. The following day, Thomas asked Azha who Nick was. Asia then drew a picture of a mutilated boy with a bicycle next to him. “Here was a kid that looked like he was attacked from a chainsaw!” Thomas said, dumbfounded at the gory image Azha drew.

Azha's portrait of her friend, Nick
It was routine for Thomas to work out in the garage every morning for an hour and on another typical morning, Thomas was working out. He notice Azha peeked in and asked her to sit on a stool to keep him company. Azha’s eyes widened and said “a bad skeleton is in there, daddy”. She looked in the other part of the garage and pointed, saying “Daddy, he’s over there”. Thomas said, “She looked like she just seen the devil. She said ‘the bad skeleton doesn’t like us daddy and is trying to hurt us’”. Azha, now a teenager, recalls her haunted past; “I didn’t go inside because this thing felt stronger than him (Thomas), more powerful than him. Whatever it was in that corner was completely terrifying.” Alarmed by what was happening to his daughter, Thomas stayed up at night. It was 2am and everyone was in bed and Thomas was out in the living room alone…or so he thought. He recalls what he had felt that night; “It was the creepiest sensation. It was like a spider web came across my neck. There was nothing on my hand…as I started to relax again, it felt like a hand going across my hair, my head! The hairs on the back of my head stood up. I had this feeling before in Vietnam, when something bad was supposed to happen…but I was in America, I was in my house.”

All the sudden, he heard Azha screaming from her room.

Yuma and Thomas rushed up to Azha when she cried it was the bad skeleton. “It was a bad skeleton but I didn’t see bones on it,” Azha explains. “I knew a skeleton wasn’t alive and this wasn’t but I knew it was real. It was a figure with scary eyes and it was the most terrifying thing ever…and I was upset because they would not believe me….I actually remembered feeling threatened for my life!”
Azha didn’t want to sleep in her bed and cried every night. Yuma and Thomas thought it was the move and Beau’s death combined that caused her to have such anxiety and night terrors but the situation was getting worse. One day, Yuma woke up to dirt on her feet and couldn’t explain where it came from. Thomas stayed up late because he became concerned and became hyper vigilant for the sake of his family’s safety. One night, he hears the latch to the front door click open and sees Yuma attempt to open it. Her eyes were open but she didn’t say anything. She opened the door to leave but Thomas blocked her way. Yuma remembers hearing a voice and felt like she was under a spell at the time.

"I put a spell on you...."
One night, it got worse…Yuma woke up and hears a voice telling her to come to the water. Across the street.  Across the big highway where a river was. “I felt like I needed to get into the river. I was like in a trance,” Yuma explains about her unusual sleepwalking. The voice kept calling her to the river. “Come into the water, be with me in the water. It was a very intense feeling and I had no control over it!” Yuma went outside and felt she wasn’t afraid of the river, of the voice, and she said she felt safe. She walked across the dangerous road. “I was so ready to go in the water, wherever this thing was telling me to go…” she remembers.  Thomas wakes up and notices Yuma isn’t in the bed. Thomas runs out and thinks she got run over. He was frightened that he lost his wife the way he lost his dog. But a Good Samaritan trucker brings her back to him and Thomas and Yuma embrace. Thomas wasn’t sure what to make of the phenomenon but Yuma felt that there was an evil spirit influencing a lot what was happening.  “But there was something there, something saved me from that truck,” Yuma said.

After that night, Thomas saw Azha go into the garage “like she owned the place” and she said “Nick is here to protect us from the bad skeleton. He’s the good skeleton daddy.” Azha remembers her ghost friend fondly; “I remember the feeling that nick came around like everything was okay, that everything was wrong because the bad skeleton wasn’t in there anymore”. Thomas remembers her telling him that the good skeleton ran the bad skeleton off and it was only Nick in the house now. Azha would just start talking to nick like he was an old friend she had known forever. Azha explained she would talk to Nick when he would be working on his motorcycle, cleaning and tuning it up.

Past times with good company
One day, the Vuovo’s neighbors, Barbara and George come over to visit. Barbara asked Yuma about Azha and her night terrors. Years and years ago, Barbara and George had a neighbor named Nicolas who rode a motorcycle. Nick actually lived in the Vuovo house and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Coming home one day, he had gotten into a fatal accident where he rear ended a tractor trailer right at the spot where Beau was hit and also where Yuma was almost hit. He was badly mangled and died instantly. Thomas and Yuma finally felt that everything was coming together.

Yuma didn’t care if it was a bad or good spirit, she was concerned that a spirit was haunting her daughter and that Nick wasn’t at rest. Both Thomas and Yuma wanted to help Nick cross over to the other side. Yuma was half-Vietnamese with her mother being full-blooded Vietnamese so Yuma asked her mother about how to hold a ritual to help spirits pass over to the other side. The parents held a ritual where they thanked Nick for helping them out and commanded him to move on towards the light.

While Nick may have passed on over the other side, it was a decision that broke Azha’s heart.

“I still think about Nick. I miss him still. He was my friend,” she says.

Janes Notes: I really have nothing to say about this one except why didn't PW have a warning to get out the box of tissues?!? Between Beau being killed and Azha feeling like she lost her friend, even years later, was just a total tearjerker for me. Both Yuma and Thomas seem like a genuinely nice couple and Azha seems like a sweet girl and I just hope that she finds some peace knowing her friend is now at rest.
