Staten Island Law: Recap of Episodes 1 & 2

Michele and Elura

Both episodes center around the lives and business of Elura (blonde) and Michele (brunette). This includes time spent with various members of their family or home life, food shopping, visiting a plastic surgeon for a consult, and visits to the salon. In Staten Island, they explain, you need to pay attention to four things clothes, hair, nails and makeup! The two legal mediators have very full lives and have to manage their time well to get it all done. While they go through the course of their day, they throw popular “Staten Islandisms” into the mix and explain the jargon used there. Actually, I found that very funny and knew most of the expressions even though I was born and raised in Brooklyn. Both women talk very fast so we are actually getting an hour’s worth of words in 30 minutes!

Episode 1 centers around a pre-nuptial agreement of an engaged couple, Jamie and Pamela. If they can’t agree then there will be no wedding. They have dated for three years and have been engaged for 7 months. The issue is that Jamie is a saver and pays close attention to money. Pamela is a spender with little to no regard for the value of a dollar. They are both teachers, so I can understand why Jamie would be concerned. Jamie’s real issue is that his father left him a house and he is afraid, if God forbid things don’t go right in the marriage, he would lose it. He wants the pre-nup. Pamela can’t even stand the word pre-nup because she associates it with divorce and feels it sets a bad tone to the start of a marriage. She also shared that it showed Jamie didn’t trust her. They tell all this to Elura and Michele. The mediators head over to their hair salon to discuss this issue and get “advice” from hairdressers and clients. In between the consultations, both separately and together, the ladies have time for family. They pop in to see Uncle Jerry, who is selling his business, I think it’s plumbing parts, and needs legal assistance (for free). The family calls her the “consigliore.” Michele’s mom invites everyone for Sunday dinner at 4 PM, a nice pot of sauce.  More issues are discussed concerning Pamela’s spending. She wants a specific dress that costs 10 to 20 thousand dollars, she has 300 guests invited to the wedding at a pricey place AND the honeymoon to Bora Bora to stay in a hut, which will run about 20 thousand too. Overall they estimate her dream wedding will cost the couple $100,000!

The resolution. Michele and Elura explain what a pre-nup actually is and what the law is. The law says that any property you owned before the marriage you keep, it’s called “separate property.” Any property acquired during the marriage is called “marital property,” and would be divided. Jamie is relieved to hear that and decides he doesn’t need a pre-nup after all. Now, in addition, they have devised a budget plan for Pamela to curb her spending and teach her good habits in the future. She will have three separate accounts one for savings, one for household expenses, and a fun account. This is because the couple’s philosophy on money matters is so far apart. They want her to consider a different, less expensive dress and another location that is less expensive, with huts, for the honeymoon. Everyone is happy!

Premiere Celebration Cake!

Episode 2 focuses on an employer, employee dispute at a barber shop. But first the ladies make time to go shopping for bras and let us know that unfortunately, a 34DDD only comes in plain colors and design. While there, Michele announces that she thinks she needs plastic surgery for her boobs and stomach. She gained a lot of weight during pregnancy and even though she lost most of it, she has lose skin and other issues. Back to the dispute. Mike, the owner of the barber shop, feels that Tony, a great hair stylist, isn’t pulling his weight. He comes in late, he leaves when there are customers waiting and he is losing money. Tony explains that the place is poorly managed and that why both he and Mike are both losing money. It seems Andrew, at the front desk, assigns all the customers to Mike and Tony sits there doing nothing. When people get tired of waiting they leave. Tony says that has to change or he is leaving. Mike wants it to change, he wants to keep Tony. Everyone feels bad for Andrew, he is a good kid, but isn’t being efficient.

So while they ponder what to do about the Barber Shop issue, the ladies go for a consult with Dr. Colen. Michele explains what she wants and shows the doctor who tells her what can be done. She sends Michele home to think about it so she doesn’t decide on impulse. Then the ladies visit their salon for more advice on this barber situation from hairdressers and clients. Michele and Elura meet with Tony and Mike and rehash all the issues. Then they propose their resolution. Tony should be made manager for a month, in which time he has to train Andrew to handle the customers more efficiently. If Andrew can’t grasp the concept of a more equal distribution, he has to go, nice kid or not. It’s a business decision. Otherwise Tony will leave and that will hurt business even more. Both Mike and Tony seem content with this plan.

Both issues are tied up with a nice red bow and there is plenty of time for all the other things too…all in 30 minutes an episode.

MY TWO CENTS:

First the positive. I love the two ladies, their background story, and friendship. They have great personalities for television. I love the premise of the show, that they go around mediating people’s problems and solve them in 30 minutes. Of course I know we are seeing the edited version and more time must go into the mediation than we are seeing. I love the idea of Staten Island, the accents and lingo used there. I relate to all of that. OWN should be credited with a great original idea for a reality show! But what’s my problem?

Well, frankly, I think they are trying too hard to do too much in 30 minutes. I feel like I am in a race car. The ladies talk very fast. They are used to listening to each other and probably read each other’s minds at times, but we are not. You have to pay close attention or you will miss something. I also think that there should be more quality time spent on the mediation process. This is an opportunity to be entertaining as well as educational. The viewers can actually learn something from the legal issues that come up. The time that is being spent on other things, for example food shopping, would be better spent advising and consulting the people needing mediation, in my opinion.

Another thing that bugged me was why did these legal experts took their clients issues to the salon to brain storm and discuss it? I am not sure what the purpose of that is, but if I was a client I wouldn’t like it. I would prefer to see the two of them spend time discussing it and brainstorming together. They are the experts. I don’t want salon people giving input on my issues, I could get a hair cut and advice myself, at my own salon, for free.

Overall, I liked the show and it’s off to a good start. If you can catch it on reruns, you should definitely give it a try.  However, like all new shows, it needs feedback and some tweaking to improve it. You may agree with me or not, either way I would love your comments!

Mob Wives: “Junkie-Gate,” Carla’s Scandal

Carla's 46th Birthday & Masquerade Party
Makes me think of the song, "You Can't Hide Your Lying Eyes"

The word “junkie” is very offensive and meant to be. There has been a lot of discussion of Carla’s use of the word since the show aired. I have watched Mob Wives from day one and have probably seen each episode at least twice. There are scenes I have watched over and over to get facts straight for the blog I am writing. I love good quotes, so I pay attention to words and how they are used. Which brings me to episode one of season three, “Mob Knives.” I was so busy taking notes I could not count the number of times Carla was filmed calling Renee a “junkie.” Considering the show is about 40 minutes long, minus commercials, it felt like she was saying in every 3 minutes. Well guess what? I wasn’t too far off from my estimate.

Many fans and viewers of the show, not to mention Renee’s family and friends, were appalled and disgusted at the use of the word “junkie.” It became more and more offensive every time Carla screamed it out. Her insensitivity and total lack of compassion for Renee, who was suffering from a disease, is disgraceful. Drita said she felt uncomfortable and even surprised that Carla would insult Renee that way after all she had been through. Drita even said she wouldn’t add her “two cents” (hmmmm, I wonder where she got that expression?). Big Ang said, she didn’t like the word “junkie” and that they shouldn’t be calling her names, they should be helping her. And those are Carla’s friends talking!

I was curious, as were many others, as to how many times Carla Dearest used the word “junkie” in the episode, but I already watched it twice and couldn’t go through it again for an accurate count. I got a volunteer from my Twitter audience, @TWEETPOLICE, to watch the show and do a count for me. In 40 minutes, it is reported that Carla used the word “junkie” 13 times, which is an average of once every three minutes! We don’t have any clue how many times she said it and it was edited it out or re-shot. And she even threw in the words “junk box” two times, and “pill popper” three times. Talk about kicking someone when they are down! This happened all before Renee went to rehab, so she was probably at her lowest point of her addiction. Way to go Carla!

I’m not too surprised at anything Carla says or does because she is generally so conceited and full of herself. It’s all about her, and as long as she isn’t hurting anyone, that’s fine. But, I have to say, even I was surprised at her personal attack on Renee. If she had said the word “junkie” once or even twice, in anger, I would still think it was wrong because addiction is a disease, but it would have only served to point out her own ignorance. However, thirteen times is really overkill. If we, as viewers, were shocked and upset for Renee, I can only imagine how AJ, her mom and sisters were feeling watching the show.

Carla called Renee a “junkie” 13 times, that includes one from the preview. Now that you know the “score,” does it change your opinion of Carla? Please feel free to comment, we would like to know your thoughts.

Mob Doctor- Resurrection & Life and Death

My favorite thing is that, on the Mob Doctor facebook page they say, "Don't miss the action packed finale!" and then they post the above picture.  Alright, guys. You got me. I'm intrigued.

RESURRECTION

Constantine hasn't seen his son Luke in 25 years.  Luke is in real estate and took a loan from a Miami cartel.  Now they're calling in the debt, and he needs Constantine's help.

A man is rolled into the ER after passing out at a lamaze class.  For some reason, the entire class accompanied him to the ER, as you might expect.  Olivia makes a judgement call that they have to shock him to get his heart beating at a normal rhythm, but when they do so, he flatlines.

Constantine goes to his buddy Tripani from the triumvirate, because he has a connection to this cartel.  Tripani complains that Constantine didn't bring him any pignoli biscotti.

sorry
Tripani's girlfriend is sick, so Constantine offers for Grace to make a house call in exchange for Tripani calling the cartel and telling them he'll pay Luke's debt.

Olivia is upset she killed her patient, and she and Grace explain to his wife why he died.  While they're doing that the guy sits up on the table and is like,

and they're kind of all like,

Which is I think below minimum requirements for a reaction when someone who is dead for 30 minutes comes back to life.

Constantine brings Grace to Tripani's, and tells Grace about his son.  Tripani says that the cartel already ordered a hit on Luke, so it may be too late.

I'm not sure why Tripani's girlfriend can't go to a real doctor, but anyway, Grace suspects that she has silicone implants that are leaking, which is causing her problems and says they need to replace them.    Chloe is hesitant for some reason.  When they replace the implants, Grace and Brett discover that they are saline, not silicone.  Then Chloe's urinary tract starts bleeding.

Luke is being trailed by the hitman, and gets scooped up by Constantine just in time.  Constantine throws Luke's cell phone out the window so he can't be tracked anymore. They take Luke to a hotel and he starts freaking out about almost being caught, but Constantine says he won't be found again, unless he's stunad. Tripani calls Constantine and says the hit can't be called off because the hitman goes off the grid once he gets a hit.  That sounds kind of dumb, but sure.

So Brett finds out that Chloe has a tumor and it's on her... prostate?  WHOA. Chloe was born a man.  She's upset because she doesn't want Tripani to find out, but when she comes out of surgery, Grace tells Chloe and Tripani it was an "abdominal tumor" but they had a complication and had to remove Chloe's uterus.  Quite crafty.

Afterward Tripani corners Grace and he's like, I want to know the truth about Chloe because I already know the truth!!  And then he's like, don't tell nobody.  And Grace walks away without actually telling him the truth of what Chloe had.

Stuart is getting worse and  now he is seeing halos.  The doctors realize it could be some type of toxicity and they realize he's overdosing on foxglove?  Because of some natural cough suppressant he's been taking.  They give him something to counteract it and in seconds he's pretty well cured.  Amazing.

Gio had gone to a newsstand to pick up some magazines for Luke.  He gossips a little with the guy at the newsstand, who turns around and spills the beans to someone as soon as Gio turns his back.  Gio goes back to the hotel room and looks for Luke, but then walks out.  The hitman is close behind him.  He hears the water running in the shower, so he slips into the bathroom and shoots through the shower curtain.  When he pulls it back, no one's there.  And when he turns around,

Constantine shoots him dead.  That hitman fell for the old running shower trick.  I think Macauly Culkin used that one in Home Alone.

AND, here's where things actually get good!  It only took 12 episodes + cancellation, but this is it.

Gio knew the newsstand guy was going to run his mouth, so the whole thing had been a set up.  Luke decides he'll stay around for a while, and he wants to meet Grace.  Now why would Constantine's son want to meet Grace?  Hmm...

Constantine needs to go see Grace's mother.  While he's gone, Stavos gets a call from the cartel, and there's a BIG problem.  Tripani double crossed Constantine and never took his offer to the cartel.  Now it looks like Constantine just killed their hitman without trying to make a deal or make good on the loan.  Constantine left his phone in the car while he goes to get a drink so he doesn't get the message, of course.

The cartel comes into the bakery with crazy automatic weapons and shoot the place up.  Gio gets killed!  Some other guy gets killed!  A third dude gets killed!  Only Stavos survives!  But then they torture him to find out where Constantine is.  Now this is what I thought the mob was supposed to be like this whole time!

Constantine shows up on the Devlin's doorstep and tells Grace's mother that it's time they tell her the truth.  But while they are talking, the cartel drives by and shoots both Grace and Constantine a bunch of times!  Grace runs out and sees her mother and Constantine dying.  She starts screaming, help, help. Is there a doctor in the house?  If only there was some number one could call...  Who knows what to do in a situation like this?

LIFE & DEATH

Constantine and and Grace's mother are rolled into the ER. They are alive, but barely so.  All of Constantine's belongings are in a plastic bag, and Grace sees Nate calling him.  She pockets the phone and walks out of the ER.

Nate was calling to tell Constantine that everybody's dead, even Stavos.  So good on Stavos for giving up Constantine's location.  That really worked out for you, huh?

Detective York asks Grace some questions, but she doesn't give him much information.

Grace asks Dr. White if she can scrub in on Constantine since she's his doctor, but Dr. White says no.  He's tired of ignoring her frequent absences and odd patients and now he has a better idea of what she's been up to.  Agent York approaches Nate and says he knows he works for Constantine.  And Nate is basically like, Yeah but you can't prove that.  Maybe Nate should rethink going to community college.

Tripani comes to the hospital to give Grace his condolences, but also slyly mention that Constantine killed her father.  Which kind of pisses her off.

York then questions Ro to get some information, but she doesn't give anything up.  Then he's like, oh one more thing, what's the deal with Franco and Grace.  And Ro says they broke up years ago.  To which York is like, Cool, didn't know that, thanks.

Grace barges into Constantine's room and says Tripani told her he killed her father.  Constantine says he couldn't have done that and deep down she knows why.  "Love me or hate me...

Ok, but still.  You know what she meant.  So you're NOT denying killing the man she was raised to BELIEVE was her father?

Grace goes to their mom and tells her Constantine told her he's her father.  The whole family is upset, but Nate is relieved as long as he's really his dad's kid.  Nice.  Their mother starts having some complications and Grace starts barking orders at Brett, but Brett says she's gone.  Grace starts explaining why their mother died to Nate in a very clinical way.  Nate says

Grace goes to Constantine and tells him she's tired of this and she's going to go to the FBI and tell them everything.  He plays the message Stavos left him about Tripani double crossing them, and convinces her she should avenge her mother.  She goes to Luke and asks him to arrange a meeting with the cartel.

Meanwhile York goes to Franco and says he KNOWS Franco still has the hots for Grace.  Still has the hots!!  It really shows in like... you know... their chemistry?

York takes Franco's gun and badge.  Yikes.

Grace and Luke meet up with the cartel guy.  They're all pissed that Tripani played them against each other, so Grace makes a deal with him and convinces him to turn on Tripani.  So the guy is like, ok we're done, and then Grace is like, no wait.  Which one of you shot my mother.  Some guy smirks, and Grace...

She sure showed him.

When she gets back to the hospital, Constantine says now they're ready to make their move.  Grace is confused because she made a deal and she thought they would be at peace.  Now she realizes it was a ploy.  Constantine used her, he never had intentions to make a legit truce.

Constantine falls asleep because of his pain killers.  Grace turns the sound off his alarm for his monitor, and then pumps him full of insulin.  She takes the simcard out of his cell phone.  She puts the phone and the syringe in the hazard bin, and walks out as he flatlines silently.

She speaks to Nate and tells him she's done with this life, but Nate says he's staying in.  So Grace strolls out of the hospital in slow motion.  Franco is waiting in a car at the front.  She hops in.

It's just the two of them now.  They drive off to Mexico.

FIN.  THE END.  AND HALLELUJAH.

So pretty much the last five minute of the last two episodes were pretty great.  Other than that...

What did you all think about this show?  How could it have been better?  Hope you enjoyed it more than I did!

One thing is bothering me though... what will become of those poker machines??

Staten Island Law: A NEW Show on OWN

Elura and Michele

One of my followers brought this to my attention yesterday. At first I was a little skeptical. Everyone wants to get a piece of Mob Wives one way or another, and now they are fascinated with Staten Island. But I read an interview that the New York Post did with Jennifer Graziano, to get her thoughts on this new show, which will be airing on Oprah’s OWN Network. Then I found a video of the first five minutes of the show…I’m hooked!

The show is about two women, Elura Nanos and Michele Sileo, who became best friends in law school, became prosecutors together, got married at the same time and even had kids at the same time. They decided to go into business together. They travel around New York City as mediators for people who have legal problems to try to help them achieve a resolution. We get to see what goes on in the mediation process and it could be full of drama! The ladies say they would like to also correct the negative stereotypes regarding Italians in Staten Islands. From what I saw in the clip, I love their accents, I love what they are doing together in business, I love the law…in short, I think I am an instant fan!

As for Jennifer Graziano, she isn’t at all threatened by the new show. She says, Mob Wives is “darker” show, but it will also be similar in that each of the women are branching out into business ventures of their own. So both shows are depicting women who are empowered and independent. She wishes them luck and success!

Check out the video below and let me know what you think of this new show, Staten Island Law and the two lawyers, Elura and Sileo. The show premieres on Saturday nights, on OWN at 9PM/8c. I think this show is going to be an instant hit, though I am a little worried about their time slot on Saturday Nights. Will you be giving it a try? What do you think so far?

Mob Wives: The Twitter Drama Never-ends

One of the Mob Wives biggest fans is a woman I affectionately refer to as "The Rose Mother".  She took issue with Carla's Sunday night attack on Renee Graziano.  She had one rose for Mrs. Hot Coochie.

B. had this to say, "I love Mob Wives.  Attacking someone when they're down & dealing with a disease is disgusting.  Carla had no regard for what Renee & Big Ang are going through.  What insensitive person attacks a person calling them a junkie at the table of a mother whose son is in rehab?"   As you can read B. a devoted Renee Graziano fan was not a happy camper.

I am just a viewer who chooses to share my take on a blog. You like it.  You don't.  I'm great with my take on things.  I've been salivating for season 3 of Mob Wives.  Truthfully with the exception Pia Rizza & Leah DeSimone & occasionally cray cray Nora, Mob Wives Chicago made me miss Mob Wives even more.  I couldn't wait to see the original crew once more minus Drita D'avanzo.  Some seem to have the inability to understand it's not her bravado that irks me.  It's that it reads totally inauthentic to me.  If you love Drita and would like to use her freshly removed tampon to stir your hot chocolate, I'm happy for you.  We'll just have to disagree.

I didn't miss Big Ang either.  However, that's because we were treated to the entertaining Big Ang Show.  Big Ang, Janine, Anthony, Frank and her cray cray friends were fun to watch.  They were like Jersey Shore with one foot into the old folks home.  My favorite of the show was Janine Detore.  She had plenty of sense, organized and looked out for her over the top older sister.  Janine was the grounding force of the Big Ang Show.  She has since caused me to reevaluate my assessment of her. Janine's irrational Twitter attack on Chiara threatening her with a beating & asking if she had a death wish over the following sentence:

"By the way, I wonder what Big Ang thinks of her new best friend’s thoughts that addiction is not a disease, since her own son, AJ, is in rehab?" ~ Chiara

.... was a tad too much, no?

*scratching head*

I get Mrs. Detore loves her sister Big Ang, nephew A.J. and her entire family.  Yet, last time I tuned into VH1's Mob Wives & Big Ang Show his drug related arrest & sentence to rehab was INCLUDED in the episodes.  It wasn't a secret.  It was also reported in several news papers.  Big Ang also discussed it during interviews.  Big Ang & A.J. are too sane adults who decided to appear on a national television show.  By the way, I don't hate anyone.  I may not like the character I view on the small screen.  Frankly beyond watching the show & blogging about it, I DON'T GIVE A F*CK.  Chiara would've been well in her right to report Janine's behavior.  Yet, we laughed and laughed and laughed.  We're still laughing weeks later.  What the f*ck is so offensive about what Chiara wrote?  Janine's over the top reaction made absolutely no sense.  It still makes no sense.  I'll have to chalk it up to a major lack of reading comprehension or a strong bond with Carla Facciolo.  By the way, if you think I'm leaving something out you can read Chiara's original post here.

*still scratching head*

Blog Flash: I created this site.  It is my business.

*takes deep breath and laughs*

I imagine Fashionista's tweet placed an exclamation mark on our Twangster experience:

Moving along to the scene that had many Mob Wives' fans boiling as if a pot of sauce.  Carla "Hot Coochie" Facciolo kicking Renee Graziano when she was clearly down.  From the opening scene, most of us knew JustJenn Productions & VH1 had heard the viewers loud and clearly, "We are tired of the Hurricane Karita!" We witnessed the Karen Gravano vs. Drita D'avanzo for two seasons.  Many of us were ready for the production Gods to move the f*ck on already with that storyline.  They did.  Many of us thank them.  A few of us were still hoping to see a Pay-per-view event with the respective parties in their corners.  Yes, I know I need to get over it.

At the top of the episode 1, we learned Drita once ran a dirty beach.  How the f*ck do you run a beach?  More importantly how old was she, 15?  And Carla had her sights set on outing Renee's drug addiction.  Renee isn't the only one having prescriptions filled.  I will digress for now.

Many of us have to own the over the top drama of Mob Wives is entertaining including the feuding.  Some of us would not tune in if it were drama free.  So naturally the next move would be a fresh new Mob Wives' war.  We have it with Renee & Carla.  I agree with a commenter. If Renee Graziano can call Carla Facciolo a whore, surely Hot Coochie can call her a junkie in return.  Yet, allegedly f*cking married man after married man isn't an disease that I know of.  You know what?   Let me google 'Hubby Fuckeritis'.  Yep, I was right.  It's not a known disease.  I think attacking anyone over an illness or disease is extra low.  I get Carla may be accustomed to getting low.  They say it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks.  For some I think it should be, "Old bitch taking applications for new dicks tricks."  I have to share the former filler mob wife believes she's given Renee Graziano a storyline:

Type about delusions of grandeur.  I'd like to thank Jennifer Graziano and her production team for a fabulous premiere episode.  I truly enjoyed it.  Tune in every Sunday @ 8PM to catch one of the best reality shows on VH1.  You can follow "The Rose Mother" on Twitter by clicking here.

Mob Wives: Recap “Mob Knives,” Ep 301

The whole reason for the title!
Her face & neck are showing signs of aging, oops.

On the boardwalk, Drita and Carla are walking when Drita recalls spending time there with Lee when he was with the South Beach Boys and ran the area. Carla says she went to see Big Ang and she told her that AJ has to spend a lot more time in rehab, 18 to 24 months. Carla says he could have been dead on the streets. Drita wants her kids to have a better life. Then Drita asks Carla if she has seen Renee. Carla says, “No, thank God, but I heard she has a problem with me, get over it, get a life. Someone must have gotten in her ear.  I’m done with her. She’s a f*ckin clown. She pops a pill. She’s never happy. Depends what pill she was poppin’ that day. Renee is a junk box, when she takes drugs she takes things out on everyone, especially me.” Drita says she is not comfortable with the conversation. Renee has had such a tough time this year with everything she is surprised at Carla for talking this way.  She says she has no problems with Renee and she wants to keep it that way.

At Renee’s house the locksmith is there because someone broke into the house while Renee was on a trip to Atlantic City. Renee says she had a security camera in the attic out of sight. Renee thinks it was a personal attack. She tells AJ she thinks the house was being watched and she wants her home to be secure. Renee says she feels very unsafe since Junior cooperated with the government. She wants a gun. She says she saw a black car with three guys in it watching her house. AJ doesn’t seem to take her seriously. Renee is agitated and seems to blame Junior. AJ says he knows what his father did was wrong but it’s over and he wants his mother to move on. AJ tells Renee he wants her to respect him and to stop talking about his dad. Renee wants AJ to respect her father, who is 72, and has been sent back to prison because of Junior.

Love is a keeper!

At Big Ang’s house, Love Majewski arrives! Big Ang says she knows Love for 20 years and that she went to high school with Karen and Ramona. Love says she was engaged to Ray Merolle, who allegedly ran a car theft ring called the Untouchables. Love and Big Ang catch up. Big Ang tells her it’s been a horror that AJ got in trouble, was arrested and is in a drug program. Big Ang is glad Love is back. Love asks about the girls. Big Ang tells her that Renee and Carla have big issues, they are at each other‘s throats. Love says she has her own issue with Renee. In the past Renee accused Love of sleeping with Junior and Love felt disrespected. Love was very upset about that. Big Ang says she is inviting the girls over to the Monkey. Love is anxious to see all her friends.

Renee's attitude with Carla "Mafia Wars? I win bitch!"

Renee and Drita meet and hug at a restaurant. Renee shows off her nice ass. Renee tells her that her house was robbed. All the pictures were thrown across the room and ripped. Her bedroom and AJ’s bedroom were destroyed. Her pillow was slashed. The Bible was on the floor. It felt personal. A lot of people were unhappy about Junior being a rat. This feels like a message is being sent to his family. Drita says Lee is coming home soon, within six months. Renee predicts they will get back together. They get on to the topic of Carla. Renee says Carla is a sneaky, conniving, whore, filthy, husband f*cking douche bag. She has more traffic than the Holland Tunnel. Renee tells Drita that she caught Carla blatantly moving in on her friend’s man. Renee makes it clear that Carla slept with a lot of married men. Renee says she has no respect for her. Drita asks if she wants to talk to her about it. “Talk to her? I’ll rip her f*cking throat out!“ Renee says there is nothing to say except, “F*ck you, you filthy c*nt.” Drita thinks there is more to Renee’s anger. Renee then tells her that Carla told people Renee chopped up her body to look like her. Drita tells Renee that Carla called her a “junkie.”  Renee looks disgusted and says, “You want to go to war with me? You know what war with me is?”

Ramona has great maternal instincts!

Ramona and her daughters have a little fun in some racing cars and then she wants to have a little talk with them about family matters. She tells them they have to move because the owner is selling the house. They may move into an apartment and have to share a room. Joe is still in prison so they won’t be getting married as planned. She gets no support from their father who left them penniless. Right now they are in limbo over a lot of things.

Carla and Drita meet to eat. Drita can’t wait to tell her about her meeting with Renee. Drita says Renee told her that Carla has a problem with married men. Carla denies it. She says she has had boyfriends her whole life and never with someone else’s man. Drita tells her Renee says she heard Carla told people Renee had surgery to look like Carla. Carla says she never said that and “she could never look like me if she got 100 surgeries. She never had surgery on her face, she looks like a clown…everything that comes out of her mouth is a lie or she makes up in her head. She is a lying little bitch…a pill poppin’ bitch!”

Big Ang has surgery on six toes and they are wrapped up. Drita stops by and is disgusted by the sight of the toes and blood. Drita is there to tell her about Renee and Carla. Big Ang asks if Carla talked about Renee. Drita says she ripped her. She says Carla destroyed Renee and Renee says Carla bashed her son. Renee says Carla is a ho for money. Big Ang says what does Renee care who sleeps with who? Drita says, but Carla is turning around in retaliation and Carla can be ruthless. Big Ang wants them to straighten things out, like the nice ladies that they are, and clear the air.

At the Drunken Monkey Renee tells Big Ang and Karen that Carla is running her mouth and calling her a “junkie.” Karen says Carla is an antagonizer. Love shows up and hugs Karen. Renee is upset to see Love there and Karen feels like she is caught in the middle. Renee tells Big Ang and Karen to take a walk so she can talk to Love. Renee says the last time they spoke it was about the rumors she heard from 10 different people that Love slept with Junior. Renee tells Love that she is a little crazy. Love says why would I sleep with Junior, I only met him two or three times. He ain’t no prize in her book. There was an incident Love explains, where one of her ex-boyfriends put his hands on her and Junior stepped in to defend her, that was it. Love says she never slept with a married man. Renee says because Junior is a “lying, conniving no good piece of shit,” she doesn’t care any more about this situation and she is letting it go.

The BRUNCH at Big Ang’s house. D-Day = Dumb Bitch day! The sit down with Renee and Carla is on an poppin’. Drita and Big Ang are waiting for them to show up. Carla and Renee both hate each other, but agree to go. Renee arrives first, she seems happy and hugs Drita. Then Carla arrives. Renee is ready to give Carla a piece of her mind and deal with her head on. Carla strolls in and coyly says, “What’s up?” TENSION!

The NEW peacemaker! Loving it!

Carla thinks Renee picks on her. Renee gets the conversation off the ground with her first issue. She reminds Carla of the time they were at the club and Carla was talking to a man who was with Renee’s friend. The man was taken, but Renee, her cousin and 2 other friends saw Carla following him around the club. Renee was implying Carla was going after him. Carla starts screaming that he was following her and he wouldn’t leave her alone. Renee says then you should have walked back to where the woman was. Drita says she is there to keep the peace and make sure there is no violence, not to add her two cents. Renee calls Carla a “go to” girl. Renee addresses her next issue with Carla. She tells her she is upset that she is going all over town calling her a junkie. Carla says, “you are a junkie.” Renee turns to Big Ang and says, “Did you know your son is a junkie?” Carla says he isn’t a junkie because he is getting help. Big Ang says to Carla she doesn’t like the word junkie, her son has a problem. Renee says, “I’m an addict.” She says it’s due to the pain after her surgery and trying to cope with Junior’s betrayal of her father and family. Carla says that everything Renee says and does has to do with her addiction. Renee counters with saying Carla sleeps with married men. Big Ang doesn’t think it’s Renee’s business. Carla picks up her butter knife and points is at Renee. Renee tells her to put the knife down! Carla says, “I’d like to stab you right now!” Renee says, “Do it! I’m telling you to do it!” Big Ang says, “Carla grew some balls!”

The Renee gets to the last issue. She tells Carla I don’t like how you verbally assaulted my son on Twitter. Carla says he is not a child. Now Carla wants to talk about Twitter and calls Renee a Mother F*cking hypocrite. Carla smugly says that Renee doesn’t know how much BS she knows about her and has on her. Carla says Renee is saying things that aren’t true while she only said one thing that was true about Renee. Renee says Carla never admits to anything. Renee tells her, “you have the f*cking mentality of a gnat!” Carla says, “You have the f*cking mentality of a junkie.”

Renee hates being called a junkie again and says Carla is a low down fckin’ bitch.

Big Ang says we accomplished nothing. They both said how much they hate each other. Renee says we can walk past each other and never say a word. Drita says we are done.

Carla think she won the argument. Renee is happy she let Carla know how much she doesn’t like her.

MY TWO CENTS:

I got up at 6 am this morning because this recap was haunting me. Last night, when I complimented Jennifer Graziano on an explosive episode she answered, “Thanks, but it hurt.” And I can imagine the things Carla was saying about her sister, Renee, did cut deep, deeper than a “butter knife.” We all saw what happened. I even watched the show twice and I’m know I still missed things. I’m sure fans of the show all felt bad for Renee too. I can only wonder how she will feel watching this episode and knowing her son, family and friends will see it. It’s going to hurt a lot of people.

Since we all saw what happened and it was basically the same issue throughout the show, I am going to break my thoughts down, mob wife by mob wife, to make is easier.

We didn’t see much of Karen, though she looked great from what little I did see. She was there to welcome Love back to Staten Island and the show.

Ramona did a scene with her children. I think Ramona’s being totally honest with her kids is great parenting. Kids have a way of knowing things, even if they don’t say anything. I agree with her parenting style of being upfront with her children and keeping the lines of communication open. I hope their lives get settled soon and they are out of limbo.

Love Majewski made her debut on the show last night. It was great to finally see her on the show and she seemed to fit right in with the rest of the cast. That probably has to a lot to do with the long history they all share, they are comfortable with each other. I’m glad Love’s issue with Renee was quickly resolved. Love handled it well. I believe Love had no interest in Junior at all and that nothing happened between them. It was smart of Renee to let go of any resentment she may had had towards Love because she needs to focus her energy for more important things. I’m looking forward to seeing a lot more of Love in upcoming episodes!

Big Ang has learned nothing from previous seasons. Her heart may be in the right place, but how in the world did she think Renee and Carla could sit down and work things out? It wasn’t even remotely possible after everything Carla said about Renee. I think it would have been better if Big Ang called Carla and had a sit down one on one with her to discuss her behavior and her use of the word “junkie.” I am so glad she told Carla she didn’t like the word. Carla looked down and I think she said she was sorry, but I can’t be sure. What the hell is Carla thinking anyway? She knows Big Ang’s son is in rehab and has a problem. And Carla just had that conversation with Big Ang and Drita. Big Ang states, “We should be helping her instead of calling her junkie.”  I’ll get to Carla later.

Drita! How refreshing to see a new and improved Drita! Who would have thought that our world class fighter would turn into a peacemaker? Not me. But, I am here to give credit where credit is due. When Drita was talking to Renee and Carla, she didn’t say anything to “stir the pot” either. She just listened and spoke up when they were being harsh with their words. She even said she was at the brunch to keep the peace and intervene if there was any violence. My very favorite line, though I didn’t catch it word for word, was her comment about Carla. Drita said she was surprised that Carla would talk that way about Renee knowing everything that Renee has been through. I could not have said it better myself. I like the new Drita! I just want to say that Drita has no reason to dislike me really. My criticism of her fighting is the same way she feels about it, namely, it’s inappropriate behavior for a grown woman and mother. We were really on the same page all along. Maybe someone will tell her I am giving her credit in this episode? However, she hasn’t run into Ramona and Karen yet, so we will see if the truce can be maintained by all three.

As for Renee, she just showed us what a strong woman she really is. She has been to hell and back, just in the time we have known her from the show. How many things have happened to her the last two years? We’ve all seen it, she hid nothing from the cameras. And yet, she is still fighting and staying strong. She admits to having an addiction, to getting help to try to get healthy for her son, AJ, and be a better mother. She needs the support of her family and friends and the people around her. What she doesn’t need is more stress or someone making it more difficult for her to cope with her illness…enter filler Carla…last and definitely least.

My gut instinct, when I saw Carla in the first couple of episodes was that I didn’t like her. Why? She is full of herself, insincere, cold, unfeeling, a liar, shows no compassion, shall I go on? Well, last night she showed her true colors in all their glory. I hope her fans took notes. I did. She was supposed to be Renee’s friend? She knows everything Renee has been through and yet how many times did she call Renee a “junkie?” I lost count. Lord knows how many more times she said it around Staten Island and how many more times it ended up on the cutting room floor during filming? Really? Was Carla trying to make Renee look bad? All she succeeded in doing was making herself look bad. Let’s face it, Carla is unarmed intellectually and on top of that, she shoots herself in the foot with her own mouth. Doesn’t she realize how many people have substance abuse problems in this country? How many of her own fans may be suffering from the same illness as Renee? How many of her fans know someone they love who is going through these issues? Why not alienate everyone with her use of the word “junkie?” And you can bet if she said it about Renee, she will say it about anyone who has a problem. It doesn’t sit well with me that she would hit Renee below the belt so many times and think nothing of it. She is callous.

I wonder how this will affect her other business opportunities? Do you want a spokesperson for Wives for Wines or whatever they call themselves, who throws the word junkie around so freely? Do you want her to make a personal appearance at your establishment to draw in a crowd? Maybe some disgruntled people from AA will show up to give her a piece of their minds?

How smart is Carla? She can’t be too bright if she is verbally abusing the Executive Producer’s sister on national television, can she? Does she even think of the repercussions this may have on her own children? A lot of people watch Mob Wives and they talk about the show. But then again, I have found that Carla thinks of no one but herself. She proves it every episode. I can only wonder how, the “ruthless” Carla with a “new set of balls” is going to get along with the new “peacemaker” Drita? Hmmmm…

Speaking of “balls,” the only set of balls I give Carla credit for having is a big pair of Home Wrecking Balls! Carla blatantly lied last night when she said she had boyfriends, but she was never with anyone’s man. Liar, liar pants on fire…AGAIN! Carla forgets that Michael “Mickey Scars” Di Leonardo was married to Toni Marie Ricci when she was his mistress, and she helped to break up his home. Oh, and did she conveniently forget that her husband, Joe Ferragamo, was also married when she started sleeping with him? I know there are many out there who claim to have a list of married men that Carla has allegedly been with and I believe it. I have heard this from more than one source. Carla is just a liar, you can’t believe her if her tongue came notarized. Just last month she said she had no boyfriend, even though some say she has been with Derek for four years now. All of a sudden, last night she admits she has a boyfriend and hopes he will be on the show. Jennifer please tell me that’s not happening! She started the first season with a lie saying she was 35 when she was 44. She lied to Joy Behar that her only connection to the mob was her uncle Bruno, when her own father, Louis, was an associate. Oh, she never answered the question about hair extensions, but now we know her gorgeous hair is fake too.

I better end this blog, it’s the longest one I’ve written. I just want to say if Carla meant to hurt Renee with her derogatory and defamatory language (someone translate this for her), she probably did. But you know who else Carla hurt? She hurt every member of Renee’s family, her son, AJ, her mother, her sisters, all Renee’s friends and fans. As Jennifer said to me, “it hurt.” And you know who I bet it hurt most of all, Carla. Not in the same way maybe, but hopefully career wise and popularity wise, it took her down a few pegs. Words hurt. Once they are out there they can never, ever be taken back. So I hope her fans are appalled and disgusted by her behavior last night and let her know about it. That’s the only thing that will make a difference, her knowing she offended fans. Will they be calling me a “hater” this morning…or will they be saving their criticism for Carla? Let’s see.

What do you think? I’d love to read your comments. Let me know if I left anything out!

I couldn't help but notice the bags under these soon to be 46 year old eyes!

P.S. The bags under Carla’s eyes were especially bad last night. Maybe she should consult with skin and makeup experts Karen and Love?

American Horror Story: Asylum- The Name Game

Alright!  So as you may recall, in the last episode of American Horror Story, Arden nearly killed Kit to see if the aliens would come.  This episode begins with Kit asking if Arden they came.  Arden lies and says no, even though he found a pregnant Grace and Pepper and locked them in a cell.

Arden examines Grace and says the aliens healed her bullet wound.  Pepper is now acting as Grace's protector, and her speech and vocabulary has improved.  Pepper reveals that her sister's husband is actually the one who killed their baby and cut off it's ears, but he blamed it on Pepper and everyone believed him because of her condition.

The angel of death came for Father Timothy after Leigh crucified him, but the angel told him that the devil was inside Sister Mary Eunice and he needed to cast the devil out.

Lana and Kit meet in the common room, and then Thredson walks in.  He comes over to them and says he plans to resume their treatments, since Sister Mary Eunice let him free and then offered him a full time position at Briarcliff.

Dr. Arden and Sister Mary Eunice give Sister Jude electroshock therapy to treat her symptoms of manic depression.

Then, Sister Mary Eunice starts to treat Father Timothy's wounds.  He tries to catch her by surprise and cast the devil out, but it doesn't work, so then, of course, she rapes him.  Dr. Arden walks in on her at the end.

Sister Jude walks into the common room in a daze after her shock therapy.  Lana asks her if she knows her name.  At this point I imagine Ryan Murphy racking his brain trying to think of a way to make this show even worse.  And he says, I know!  I'll turn it into GLEE!  And I'll have everyone in the asylum sing and dance to The Name Game.  FOR THREE MINUTES!  What a great idea, right??

Dr. Arden goes into the woods to do an afternoon feeding.  Sister Mary Eunice catches up with him.  She has this great idea to give Sister Jude a lobotomy.  But Arden won't do what she wants anymore because he's jealous.  He starts shooting the creatures and says the experiments are over.  He is about to shoot himself when he breaks down crying.  Sister Mary Eunice says he's being pitiful and walks away.

Father Timothy approaches Sister Jude to apologize for not listening to her when she says Sister Mary Eunice was possessed by the devil.  He says she violated him and took his virtue and asks Sister Jude what he should do.  Sister Jude tells him to kill her.

Dr. Thredson goes into Dr. Arden's office to root around looking for some drugs when he hears a woman moaning.  It's Grace and she is giving birth.

Father Timothy is praying when Sister Mary Eunice walks in on him.  She says he can't keep anything from her now, and she knows that he is praying for the strength to kill her.  She tells him that she is about to devour the last morsel of Mary Eunice's soul.  Mary Eunice takes control of the body momentarily and apologizes to Father Timothy.  She says she is tired of fighting.  Father Timothy throws her off the balcony and the angel of death comes.  Mary Eunice says "take me," and the angel says "I'll take you both."

So the devil is gone now.  It was that easy all along, huh.

Father Timothy says she needs to be prepared for burial, but Dr. Arden says she needs to be cremated, even though it's against Christian teachings, because she's been infected by the devil.

Dr. Thredson meets Kit for his appointment.  Thredson takes Kit to Grace and the baby, and says the baby is Kit's son.  Kit tells him where he hid the confession tape, and Thredson goes to the hydrotherapy room to get it.  When he finds it, he realizes that Lana replaced the tape with a book and she says she's the only one who knows where it is now.

Sister Jude is in the common room and she is babbling about how she and Father Timothy are going to get married in Rome and become pope.  Mother Superior comes to speak with her, and Jude tells her that Lana doesn't belong there and she needs to help her get out.

Dr. Arden prepares Sister Mary Eunice for cremation.  He climbs on top of her body and gets incinerated with her.  Ding Dong, the Nazi's dead.

Two major characters killed, and still one of the most boring episodes yet!  At least when people died on the first season it was sort of interesting.  Anyone think this episode was any good?

Well, we're in the home stretch now, three episodes to go!

Mob Wives: Love Majewski Brings It On!

"Not your run of the mill poisoner"

I've had the pleasure of meeting Love on a couple of occasions and speaking with her a few times since her episode, “Love Hurts,” of the Investigation Discovery's series I Married A Mobster. She has quite a personality that I can only describe as effervescent, like champagne. I know we all have questions about Love’s new role on Mob Wives. So I called her for a little chat. Love was gracious, as always, and was happy to answer my questions.

Hi Love, first of all I would like to congratulate you on joining the cast of Mob Wives. I’m thrilled for you. To be honest, it has been one of my wishes that you would be brought into the show. Maybe I can ask you a few questions to partly satisfy our readers, who are dying of curiosity?

Hi Chiara, thank you so much, I always enjoy talking to you. What is it you want to know?

We know the women in the cast of Mob Wives have a long history, yet Carla calls you, “...the newcomer into their little clique...” Just how well do you know each of the mob wives?

Ironically, it’s Carla who is the newcomer, since she only knows everyone since the show started. I’ve known Big Ang over 20 years, and I went to high school with Karen and Ramona, so I know them since I was about 14 which is well over 20 years.  I’ve known Drita through the other girls.

Did Jennifer Graziano approach you about being in the show?

Jennifer did approach me and we discussed my doing the show. The reason it came about was that different situations kept arising in the story line where my name was being brought up by the other wives and then edited out. It made more sense to bring me into the show and include me as part of the story line rather than exclude me, because I've had friendships & rapports with the Mob Wives. After doing I Married A Mobster and Deadly Sins this show seemed like a natural transition for me.

Who would you say you are closest to in the Mob Wives cast and why?

Oh this is a little tricky. When I was younger, as teenagers, I was best friends with Ramona. In this group I have gotten to know Renee.  You'll have to tune in to see whether we're friend, foe or frenemy.  I'll say I’m closest to Karen. Karen is the most fun to film with. When we have to shoot a scene, Karen takes over the room.  I think the director who I adore has an assistant when it comes to Karen. She is great to work with and has it all under control. Karen is very generous in ways people don’t see. Like, when we do the green room scenes and we have our hair and makeup done. We have to pick out outfits to wear and jewelry. Karen will tell me to wear some of her jewelry if it goes better with my outfit. I’ll tell her no because she needs it for next week and she answers don’t worry I’ll find something else. Karen is really a team player. The more time I get to spend with Drita, I can see why Karen and her were once good friends.   They share a similar sense of humor.  Both women are generous!

I know you can’t give away too many details, but how are you introduced into the storyline?

The show was already filming when I returned from spending time in Florida. I divide my time between Florida and New York.

From the pictures we have seen online of different events and your birthday, it seems you are on good terms with Karen, Ramona, Renee and even Drita. Does that mean you have issues with Carla in season three?

Let me put it this way, I don’t like anyone who talks behind my back. If you got the balls to say something behind my back, have the balls to say it to my face.   I need to stress that goes for each and every one of the Mob Wives and anyone I deal with.

The reason I ask is that a few weeks ago there was a little Twitter war between you, Handy Man and Carla, and rumor has it you once dated Handy Man. Can you tell us about that?

I did date him briefly, it was never anything serious or important to me. I typically date a certain caliber of men.  It was during a vulnerable time in my life.  Handy Man wasn't  boyfriend material for me.

(OUCH!)

In the super trailer for season three, you are saying that someone is going around calling you fat, ugly and is accusing you of stalking their boyfriend. I think I know who, but can you elaborate on that?

Without giving too much away I will say this, I have never stalked a man in my entire life. There is no shortage of men in my life. I never said I was skinny.  Sure I could lose a few pounds.  But then again I love me a good burrito bowl!  Some say only a dog wants a bone. A real man wants a woman.

You said a few things about yourself that got a tremendous reaction from fans and I’d like to give you an opportunity to clarify, in some detail, why you did what you said you did.

Who did you poison and why?

I poisoned one of my boyfriends with a  household product because he abused my dog. He always used to say you love that dog more than me. Then I noticed a change in my dog and one day a wife of a friend of his told me he was abusing my dog. He was driving with the dog in the car and the dog was looking out the window. He made a very sharp turn and the dog flew out. He picked up the dog and brought him into her house to clean him up before bringing him back home. I was so mad, I poisoned him, not enough to kill him just to give him violently ill with severe diarrhea. Then I took all the toilet paper and car keys and left him there.

Who did you shoot and why?

There is an article on that so you should research it. Okay, I will do that, Love.

AFTER MY INTERVIEW with Love I did some research online to find the story about her shooting. The incident took place about twenty years ago and was brought up on “I Married A Mobster’s Love Hurts,” episode. Love’s boyfriend at the time was Raymond Merolle, a well known criminal who had a car theft operation dubbed “The Untouchables” because they couldn’t be caught. Love came home from Florida to find out, from a neighbor, that another woman had been staying with Merolle while she was away. Love got into a fight with the other woman, breaking her nose and causing her to lose consciousness. When Love pepper sprayed Merolle, she told police that he began firing shots at her. That is when she took out her gun and fired at him.

Why did you stab your last boyfriend in front of his mother?.

I stabbed him because he lied to me. He said he was paying the bills while I was in Florida, but when I came back  I learned he didn’t pay anything. I owed 4 to 5 months of bills. He was getting ready to move out and he had his mother with him. I didn’t know that. I was so angry and I knew I had to get the jump on him when he walked through the door. He literally left me with $20, no car and all these bills. He had emptied out the bank account. I was so angry and so hurt I grabbed the letter opener a friend brought me from Africa, and stabbed him with it. It snapped in half. His mother started yelling and carrying on because she never wanted us to get back together.

Love is very close with her mom, Lorraine ♥

You know I love your mom, Lorraine, can you tell us if she will be in any scenes with you?

My mother has filmed with us on more than one occasion, but I don’t know if they will keep those scenes in the show. Ramona and Karen grew up in her house and she treats them just like she did back then.

Have you enjoyed being in season three so far? Was it what you expected?

I really enjoy it. Filming with Karen and Drita is a lot of fun. It’s different than the other shows I did where I was just telling a story. On Mob Wives I can show all sides of my personality. It’s a lot more work, but a lot more fun.

What, if anything, surprised you the most about filming?

I think what surprised me the most is how much of our lives the audience really gets to see. So much of the show is real and genuine. The show doesn’t hide much. Mob Wives is keeping the “real” in reality. They show so much of our trials and tribulations with the exception of one cast member who isn’t very forthcoming, the rest of us really let the public into our private lives, especially Renee and all she has been through.

One last question, it’s been bothering me forever. Do you know if Carla wears hair extensions? I know a few people who would like to pull them out.

Yes she does. All the time. Some of us will wear extensions occasionally, for the green screen scenes, but she wears them all the time.

I knew it! So much for that great hair…fake, just like the rest of her!

That’s all I have for now Love. This should keep our readers happy for awhile. Best of luck filming the rest of the season three episodes! I can’t wait to see you on the show and hope to talk to you again soon.

Okay Chiara, it was good talking to you.

And with that Love was off and running. She is really a pleasure to talk to and I am sure she is going to exceed all our expectations for season three. Love says, “We are either gonna love her or hate her.” I say, “We are gonna love her!” Kudos to Jennifer Graziano for another brilliant decision to add Love to the cast! JustJenn Productions Rocks!

Don’t miss the Mob Wives premiere on Sunday, January 6th at 8 PM on VH1 and set your DVR because you will need to see it again! Jenn just told me on a scale of 1 to 10, episode one is a 13!

Carmela's Food Blog: A Ricotta Cake To DIE For!

A Ricotta Cake To DIE For!

Here's a quick, easy cake to make that goes well with coffee and Mob Wives. In fact, I’m going to serve it this Sunday, during the Mob Wives premiere, to my guests. I even checked the calorie content and it is only 245 calories per serving. Not so bad for cake.

Ingredients:

1 yellow cake mix (I prefer Duncan Hines brand and make sure no pudding in the mix!)
3 eggs (or what the cake mix calls for)
1/3 cup of oil (or what the cake mix calls for)
1 1/3 cups of water (or what the cake mix calls for)
1 32 ounce container of Ricotta Cheese
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of orange  zest (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.
Prepare the cake mix as per instructions on the box.
Pour it in a prepared  9 x 13 greased pan.

Mix the ricotta, vanilla, sugar and orange zest in a bowl with a hand mixer.
Place spoonfuls of the ricotta mixture on top of the cake as evenly as possible (see photo)
Bake for 45 minutes.

The ricotta will sink to the bottom and the yellow cake will be on top!
When cooled sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar.

ENJOY!!!! But don’t leave any CRUMBS!

Only 2 more days to the premiere of Mob Wives!

Mob Wives: Karen Gravano & Renee Graziano Buzzed

Karen & Renee talk about season 3 of Mob Wives on ABC's What's the Buzz.
Many know Karen Gravano & Renee Graziano our my favorite Mob Wives.  I love what each of the women bring to my television screen each week.  Karen is down to Earth & a stand up chick.  Renee brings the anger & hurt of the lifestyle to the surface in the most dramatic way.  I root for each of the these women each & every week.  Neither of them are perfect or 100% right in all that they do.  However, I enjoy what they bring to the table & can type they're the reason I tune in each week, research and watch everything Mob Wives.

No one was happier than I to catch the video of ABC's "What the Buzz" segment.  We learn Renee Graziano is not going to bury the hatchet with Carla Facciolo.  She isn't to happy that Carla called her a junkie.  Nor is she happy that Carla "Hot Coochie" Facciolo took to Twitter allegedly typing, "...even her son is disappointed in her."  We are so glad Carla is mother of the year & perfect.

The ladies then talk about the devastation of Hurricane Sandy and how it affected them.  Enjoy the video:

I don't need to tell you season 3 of Mob Wives premieres January 6 Sunday on VH1!  If you miss it you'll regret it.  The women of Mob Wives are fire.  We are especially looking forward to the new mob wife Love Majewski who I've affectionately named The Boobed Brawler.  Check out Discovery ID to catch Love on "I Married a Mobster" & "Deadly Sins".  You can follow Love Majewski on Twitter by CLICKING HERE.
