Mob Wives: Carla and Love Make Peace?

Carla comes face-to-face with Love

Who knows what is going on this season? After seeing the Super Trailer for Season 6, it's anyone's guess. I didn't think bringing Love back was an option and yet from the snippets we have seen for the promo, there she is face to face with Carla at the Mermaid Parade in Brooklyn. This was back in June 2015. Did this little face-to-face encounter come about by chance or by production company design?

They were all at the parade

Last time we saw Love and Carla together was at the end of season three at Drita's party. This is straight out of the Season 3 Finale blog I wrote in April, 2013 to refresh your memory:

Love says she demands and expects respect and she will get it one way or another. Karen tells Love if she needs to talk to Carla, then just talk, no violence. Karen then tells Carla that Love wants to talk to her. Love is trying to stay calm. Ramona says Karen needs to be alert if Love is near Carla. The three of them, Love, Karen and Carla, go off to a corner to talk. Carla and Love sit down. Karen is right there, beside them. Love has her cell phone out. Carla wants to know why Karen is there. Love says she is there “to keep me from knocking your teeth down your throat.” Love jumps up and lunges at Carla and grabs her hair. There is complete confusion and chaos. A mob gathers trying to break up the fight. Carla trusts no one. Drita is upset her party turned into a zoo. Karen is upset and wants to talk to Carla. She feels bad because it looks like she set her up. Carla feels set up. Carla’s hand is bleeding and Ramona tries to get close enough to help. Carla wants everyone to leave her alone. Karen is mad at Love for not even hearing Carla out. Karen tells Drita what happened and says she was standing right there to prevent any attack, but Love hit her. Carla is riled up and Renee feels bad for her. She says Carla is alone in a pack of wolves.

Karen needs to find Love to see if she is okay and what triggered her so quick. Karen goes out to the car and tells Love it looks like she set Carla up. Karen said she gave her word there would be no violence. Karen can’t calm Love down. Karen feels Love was wrong for hitting Carla so quickly. Drita is pissed with Love, she wanted them to just talk and air out their differences. Carla tells them what Love said about Karen being there to stop them from fighting. Karen is upset that she gave her word and Love went against it. Both Drita and Karen know it all looks like a set up. Love tells Karen all the reasons she is mad and Karen understands, but doesn’t like that it all happened so fast. Karen tells Carla that she didn’t set her up. Carla says she is done with Love. Drita says it doesn’t look good on Love’s part, she waited for Big Ang and Drita to leave to attack Carla.

All of season three was leading up to this confrontation. Love heard that Carla was talking about her behind her back and had had enough.  So, how did these two manage to get past their differences to even be on the same set filming together for Season 6? One would think there had to be a sitdown of some kind to iron out their issues. That would make for a very interesting scene!  And just between you and me, a source recently told me that the two of them are on speaking terms today.

Can't wait to see how this situation develops in Season 6 between these two ladies. Do they make up and move on? What do you think?

P.S. Shout out to @mobwivesvh1news on Twitter for asking me this question and inspiring this blog post! Follow him on Twitter for great information concerning the show and cast!

Mob Wives: Sammy "The Bull's" Artwork Exhibit

Last night the Conception Gallery held an exhibit of Sammy "The Bull" Gravano's prison artwork. Sammy is currently in an Arizona prison. Sammy's very impressive sketches were offered for sale to the public. The show appears to have been a great success. We at the blog congratulate Sammy. Many turned out, including several Mob Wives, to support Karen Gravano. As you can see in the bottom left hand picture above, Love Majewski was decked out to be there for her long time friend.  I suspect that there were VH1 cameras there covering the event as did the New York Post. Here are a few more shots:

Actual Sketches

Karina and Storm

Love and Marissa

Okay so let's say VH1's cameras were rolling for this event. Does this confirm Love will indeed be in Season 6?  I'm going out on a limb and say yes.  I just can't believe that we can be this lucky to get all our favorites back on the show (minus Ramona Rizzo).  But what about Linda Scarpa? Drita all but said she would be filming for the show too. Linda, however, seems to be in denial mode. Who do we believe now?

At first glance this seems like a hint . . . BUT
Linda is in denial mode!

I'm sure producers want to keep certain aspects of season 6 under-wraps for the element of surprise. That's what they tried to do with Victoria Gotti's totally unexpected appearance.  If I recall correctly, Ms. Gotti also tried denying she would appear on the show and then there she was in two episodes. So, if I had to take a stand one way or the other, I would say the odds are Linda will make an appearance. Drita is known for having loose lips and trying to sink ships.  Stay tuned for more information as it develops.

Mob Wives: Will Love Majewski & Linda Scarpa Be on Season 6?

Love Majewski & Linda Scarpa
making appearances in Season 6?

What is going on in Season 6 of Mob Wives?  Somebody please fill us in! There are leaks and hints popping up on social media which is all we can depend on right now. What I am doing is trying to do is piece together the tweets and reading between the lines. For example, the original girls, Karen and Carla, have their beefs with Drita and we have seen them tweet about how she "sold them out" after season three ended. But recently two other mob wives have jumped into the mix making me think that just maybe they are coming on as "guests" in season 6. You all remember Love Majewski, who grew up with Karen and Jennifer Graziano and was on season 3 of Mob Wives and season 1 of IMAM? I would love to see Love return to the show! And how about Linda Scarpa from I Married a Mobster? Suddenly she has been chatting it up with Drita. Get a load of these tweets . . .

Drita seems to be saying that she is filming with Linda Scarpa and Linda acknowledges it. Notice how Drita tagged Brittany Fogarty and her mother, Andrea Giovino (also from I Married A Mobster)?  Looks like they might make up Team Drita in Season 6.

Yesterday, Drita tweeted about turning from nice guy into a monster. She was pissed about something and her tweet didn't go unnoticed by Karen and Love who had something to say. @MobWivesSupport captured the drama here:

I love the reference to Drita's wrench!

Now why would Drita be talking about Love all of a sudden? Why would Love post a tweet about Drita being a "sell out?"  If these two have issues, does this mean Love will be a guest on Season 6?  So many questions, but who has the answers?

Maybe we should give Drita the last word today. Drita has always talked smack about her costars and her boss, Jennifer Graziano. Check out this last tweet:

I think we can figure out who she is talking about.

Season 6 promises to be the best one yet, and I like what I am reading in the tweets and between the lines! Stay tuned for the latest developments. Now I am done chirping.

Mob Wives: Season 6 Love Majewski in Guest Role?

The beautiful Love Majewski

Love was a main character in season three of Mob Wives. Ever since then, fans have been begging for her return. Love grew up with Ramona and Karen in Staten Island and has certainly lived the "lifestyle" through many of the men she has dated over the years. Back in season three, Love had a bone to pick with Carla and the whole season's storyline lead up to a confrontation. Whatever happened, on or off the set, Love was not invited to the Reunion Show that year and was not asked back for another season (Season 4 was a mess anyway with those Philly chicks). Now I am not one to give a lot of credibility to Wikipedia. I have no idea who updates their articles and if what they add is fact or wishful thinking. It's just impossible to know and when I try to verify information no one seems to be talking. So for now I will let you know what I know, when I know it. According to Wikipedia, Love is coming back as a guest in season 6. I am hopeful, but skeptical because Carla is on this season. However, it is always possible that Love will be filming with other Mob Wives at some point. Last time I blogged about Wikipedia's information Jenn Graziano said it was wrong, and yet she wouldn't "correct" the misinformation for me. So this news could be fact or fiction at this point.

I have also read that Gnat says she has been asked back for this season and have not been able to verify that. As you can see Wikipedia has her still in the main cast. What her role will be is beyond me. The two newest additions, Marrisa Jade and Brittany Fogarty, are young and beautiful and I look forward to seeing what they bring to the table. Brittany is a "mob daughter" whose parents have had serious mob ties. Both women were in the Hamptons this past weekend filming with Karen, Renee and Carla.

What do you make of these possible new developments?

Mob Wives: Karen Celebrates Her Birthday!

Karen in her gorgeous birthday dress!

Karen has been doing a lot of celebrating this year for her birthday. She looks terrific! I'm glad her birthday falls between seasons so she can really enjoy it drama free. I found a few other pictures that show "who" she was celebrating with at the event. Can you guess?

Celebrating with long time friend, the beautiful Love Majewski

and

In red, her cousin Rena, who has appeared
on Mob Wives

And since there was no drama, and this event probably was not filmed, there was time for delicious cake, which Karen says looked beautiful and tasted even better than it looked!

Happy Birthday, Karen!
See you on season 6 Mob Wives!

Mob Wives: Love Majewski Brings It On!

"Not your run of the mill poisoner"

I've had the pleasure of meeting Love on a couple of occasions and speaking with her a few times since her episode, “Love Hurts,” of the Investigation Discovery's series I Married A Mobster. She has quite a personality that I can only describe as effervescent, like champagne. I know we all have questions about Love’s new role on Mob Wives. So I called her for a little chat. Love was gracious, as always, and was happy to answer my questions.

Hi Love, first of all I would like to congratulate you on joining the cast of Mob Wives. I’m thrilled for you. To be honest, it has been one of my wishes that you would be brought into the show. Maybe I can ask you a few questions to partly satisfy our readers, who are dying of curiosity?

Hi Chiara, thank you so much, I always enjoy talking to you. What is it you want to know?

We know the women in the cast of Mob Wives have a long history, yet Carla calls you, “...the newcomer into their little clique...” Just how well do you know each of the mob wives?

Ironically, it’s Carla who is the newcomer, since she only knows everyone since the show started. I’ve known Big Ang over 20 years, and I went to high school with Karen and Ramona, so I know them since I was about 14 which is well over 20 years.  I’ve known Drita through the other girls.

Did Jennifer Graziano approach you about being in the show?

Jennifer did approach me and we discussed my doing the show. The reason it came about was that different situations kept arising in the story line where my name was being brought up by the other wives and then edited out. It made more sense to bring me into the show and include me as part of the story line rather than exclude me, because I've had friendships & rapports with the Mob Wives. After doing I Married A Mobster and Deadly Sins this show seemed like a natural transition for me.

Who would you say you are closest to in the Mob Wives cast and why?

Oh this is a little tricky. When I was younger, as teenagers, I was best friends with Ramona. In this group I have gotten to know Renee.  You'll have to tune in to see whether we're friend, foe or frenemy.  I'll say I’m closest to Karen. Karen is the most fun to film with. When we have to shoot a scene, Karen takes over the room.  I think the director who I adore has an assistant when it comes to Karen. She is great to work with and has it all under control. Karen is very generous in ways people don’t see. Like, when we do the green room scenes and we have our hair and makeup done. We have to pick out outfits to wear and jewelry. Karen will tell me to wear some of her jewelry if it goes better with my outfit. I’ll tell her no because she needs it for next week and she answers don’t worry I’ll find something else. Karen is really a team player. The more time I get to spend with Drita, I can see why Karen and her were once good friends.   They share a similar sense of humor.  Both women are generous!

I know you can’t give away too many details, but how are you introduced into the storyline?

The show was already filming when I returned from spending time in Florida. I divide my time between Florida and New York.

From the pictures we have seen online of different events and your birthday, it seems you are on good terms with Karen, Ramona, Renee and even Drita. Does that mean you have issues with Carla in season three?

Let me put it this way, I don’t like anyone who talks behind my back. If you got the balls to say something behind my back, have the balls to say it to my face.   I need to stress that goes for each and every one of the Mob Wives and anyone I deal with.

The reason I ask is that a few weeks ago there was a little Twitter war between you, Handy Man and Carla, and rumor has it you once dated Handy Man. Can you tell us about that?

I did date him briefly, it was never anything serious or important to me. I typically date a certain caliber of men.  It was during a vulnerable time in my life.  Handy Man wasn't  boyfriend material for me.

(OUCH!)

In the super trailer for season three, you are saying that someone is going around calling you fat, ugly and is accusing you of stalking their boyfriend. I think I know who, but can you elaborate on that?

Without giving too much away I will say this, I have never stalked a man in my entire life. There is no shortage of men in my life. I never said I was skinny.  Sure I could lose a few pounds.  But then again I love me a good burrito bowl!  Some say only a dog wants a bone. A real man wants a woman.

You said a few things about yourself that got a tremendous reaction from fans and I’d like to give you an opportunity to clarify, in some detail, why you did what you said you did.

Who did you poison and why?

I poisoned one of my boyfriends with a  household product because he abused my dog. He always used to say you love that dog more than me. Then I noticed a change in my dog and one day a wife of a friend of his told me he was abusing my dog. He was driving with the dog in the car and the dog was looking out the window. He made a very sharp turn and the dog flew out. He picked up the dog and brought him into her house to clean him up before bringing him back home. I was so mad, I poisoned him, not enough to kill him just to give him violently ill with severe diarrhea. Then I took all the toilet paper and car keys and left him there.

Who did you shoot and why?

There is an article on that so you should research it. Okay, I will do that, Love.

AFTER MY INTERVIEW with Love I did some research online to find the story about her shooting. The incident took place about twenty years ago and was brought up on “I Married A Mobster’s Love Hurts,” episode. Love’s boyfriend at the time was Raymond Merolle, a well known criminal who had a car theft operation dubbed “The Untouchables” because they couldn’t be caught. Love came home from Florida to find out, from a neighbor, that another woman had been staying with Merolle while she was away. Love got into a fight with the other woman, breaking her nose and causing her to lose consciousness. When Love pepper sprayed Merolle, she told police that he began firing shots at her. That is when she took out her gun and fired at him.

Why did you stab your last boyfriend in front of his mother?.

I stabbed him because he lied to me. He said he was paying the bills while I was in Florida, but when I came back  I learned he didn’t pay anything. I owed 4 to 5 months of bills. He was getting ready to move out and he had his mother with him. I didn’t know that. I was so angry and I knew I had to get the jump on him when he walked through the door. He literally left me with $20, no car and all these bills. He had emptied out the bank account. I was so angry and so hurt I grabbed the letter opener a friend brought me from Africa, and stabbed him with it. It snapped in half. His mother started yelling and carrying on because she never wanted us to get back together.

Love is very close with her mom, Lorraine ♥

You know I love your mom, Lorraine, can you tell us if she will be in any scenes with you?

My mother has filmed with us on more than one occasion, but I don’t know if they will keep those scenes in the show. Ramona and Karen grew up in her house and she treats them just like she did back then.

Have you enjoyed being in season three so far? Was it what you expected?

I really enjoy it. Filming with Karen and Drita is a lot of fun. It’s different than the other shows I did where I was just telling a story. On Mob Wives I can show all sides of my personality. It’s a lot more work, but a lot more fun.

What, if anything, surprised you the most about filming?

I think what surprised me the most is how much of our lives the audience really gets to see. So much of the show is real and genuine. The show doesn’t hide much. Mob Wives is keeping the “real” in reality. They show so much of our trials and tribulations with the exception of one cast member who isn’t very forthcoming, the rest of us really let the public into our private lives, especially Renee and all she has been through.

One last question, it’s been bothering me forever. Do you know if Carla wears hair extensions? I know a few people who would like to pull them out.

Yes she does. All the time. Some of us will wear extensions occasionally, for the green screen scenes, but she wears them all the time.

I knew it! So much for that great hair…fake, just like the rest of her!

That’s all I have for now Love. This should keep our readers happy for awhile. Best of luck filming the rest of the season three episodes! I can’t wait to see you on the show and hope to talk to you again soon.

Okay Chiara, it was good talking to you.

And with that Love was off and running. She is really a pleasure to talk to and I am sure she is going to exceed all our expectations for season three. Love says, “We are either gonna love her or hate her.” I say, “We are gonna love her!” Kudos to Jennifer Graziano for another brilliant decision to add Love to the cast! JustJenn Productions Rocks!

Don’t miss the Mob Wives premiere on Sunday, January 6th at 8 PM on VH1 and set your DVR because you will need to see it again! Jenn just told me on a scale of 1 to 10, episode one is a 13!

P.S. If you haven't already heard, Love has her own Cosmetic Line, Veritas Cosmetics which we blogged about a year and a half ago. You may want to check out her website where she writes blogs giving beauty tips about hair and makeup! Follow her on Twitter @LoveMajewski so you don't miss a thing she has to say regarding the drama on the show!

Mob Wives Saving Lives Photos!

Toni Marie Ricci and Karen Gravano

Did you miss last night's event? If you did you missed a huge opportunity to meet a few of your favorite Mob Wives! Many of the Mob Wives were hosting this event and raising money for victims of Sandy. We were lucky to get some pictures of those who were present for a cause that close to all their hearts. I am sharing what I have with our readers and maybe we will get some insight into season three (lol chirp) from who was and wasn't there. I learned from Twitter that Renee Graziano was not well and unable to attend. Michael Bell donated a piece of his artwork for the fund raiser and some of the Mob Wives autographed it. Joe Ferragmo was there with his lovely girlfriend. Toni Marie refers to Joe as a real "gentleman" and his girlfriend "a doll." I love Joe's white, fresh, crisp shirt!

It looks to me like everyone had a great time for a good cause. Maybe they filmed some of the event for season three of the show and we can get a better idea of what went on? I wouldn't be surprised.

Mob Wives: Love Majewski Newest Addition!

Love from ID's Deadly Sins

It's Official! VH1 has finally announced that Love Majewski, who starred in an episode of "I Married A Mobster" and "Deadly Sins," is indeed the newest cast member of Mob Wives and we could not be happier for her. The writers of our blog have always supported Love and think she will definitely be a wonderful asset to the show's third season. We have known about this for months now, but out of respect and consideration for the show and its production teams we have chosen not to report it.

Love has been filming for months with her cast mates and grew up with Karen and Ramona in Staten Island. Love has quite a flamboyant personality, a long history with mobsters, and can be very entertaining. I can't wait to see what she brings to the table!

We at the blog, wish Love much success in this new role as well as all other opportunities that are sure to come her way in the future.

For more information on the newest Mob Wife, Love Majewski, just use the search feature at the bottom right hand side of the blog and type in her name. A list of blogs featuring Love will appear at the top of the blog. Happy reading!

Congratulations Love ♥

Mob Wives Unite to Save Lives!

Embedded image permalink

Ever since super storm Sandy hit on October 29th, 2012, our Mob Wives have been trying to do everything in their power to raise money for the victims of Staten Island. They made time, almost immediately, to go to the hardest hit neighborhoods with food, clothing and sponsored various fund raisers to give families some relief while they wait for Federal money. If you haven't been able to help out and still would like to, you have another chance on Friday, December 14th, 2012 at the Chelsea Manor located at 138 W 25th Street in NYC. That is when the Mob Wives, Renee, Karen and Ramona will be doing another event called, "Operation Mob Wives Saving Lives." The event will also be co-hosted by Love Majewski, who starred on the series "I Married A Mobster."

I know this is an especially busy time of the year, but it's an opportunity for fans to extend a helping hand to those who have lost homes and all their worldly possessions through no fault of their own. It's the best way I can think of to put this season's holiday spirit of giving into action. As a bonus, you will be able to meet with your favorite Mob Wives, whose hearts are as big and wonderful as their personalities.

I have also found a short video advertising the event!

I Married A Mobster: Uncle Adam Tells Love To "Dream On"

Adam Arias, Jan. 4, 1964 - Sept. 11, 2001

Originally posted 11 September 2011.

I wanted to speak to Love Majewski about her memories of her uncle, Adam Arias after her mother told me how close the two were. They were only 5 or 6 years apart in age and because Lorraine took care of her youngest brother very often, Love and Adam were raised more like brother and sister. In fact, as we talked, Love referred to him over and over as her best friend. It was a multi-layered relationship of three very close bonds (uncle/niece, brother/sister, best friends) in one.

Love tells me a story of when she was just 17 years old. She was always ambitious and one day she made some signs “Nails By Love.” She took them to a local salon and made a deal with them. She would work there and do nails and just keep 40% of the fee. They hired her and she saved up her money. There was a Jewelry lady there and Love took the money she had saved up and bought a sterling silver pinky ring with onyx, for her uncle Adam.

When she got involved with Ray, Adam was her protector. He stood up to him and tried to get Love to leave him. Ray stole three of his cars and destroyed them in retaliation. The relationship between Love and Ray created some distance between her and Adam. But when Love broke it off with Ray, Adam was there to comfort and support her and never said I told you so.

Years later, after the attacks of 911, the police came to their home looking for something they could use to ID the body. They asked for a toothbrush or hairbrush, but his wife was so distraught and in denial, she wouldn’t let the police have anything of his. In her state of mind she thought he was coming home and would not accept his death. They tell Love that they need something of his to ID his body.

Love was there because she and Adam had purchased co-ops in the same building, she was 27 at the time and he was 32. He moved in with his new wife. Love explains that what was so beautiful about the co-ops was that they looked out on the skyline of Manhattan. That later turned out to be a curse, when all they could do was to look out and watch the buildings burn for days.

The authorities told Love that his wife was hindering the investigation. Love tried to help and she went to her uncle’s jewelry box. In it she she was surprised to find the pinky ring she had given him 10 year ago, all polished up. She realized just how special the ring was to him when his wife told her that of course he still had it, he took great pride in the fact that she bought it for him with money she had saved from her first job.

Although Adam was missing, and they found his body in eight days, it took weeks for them to positively identify him. Love spent a lot of time with his wife. Love says she herself felt like she was having a nervous breakdown. She would stare at the bus stop where he would get off at night and look up to her window. She couldn’t sleep for days and the doctor prescribed valium and ambien. The ambien ended up keeping her up for 7 days. Love called her girlfriend who knew a cop that drove them around from hospital to hospital and morgue to morgue looking for Adam. They went to other facilities that were holding the remains of the victims too, but he wasn’t at any of them.

Meanwhile, Adam's wife was having a real breakdown. One day she put on Adam’s shirt and tie and was walking around in it. Love noticed that a door to the co-op emergency exit was open and she went up the stairs. There on the roof was his watching the burning buildings, saying I can’t feel him. She was falling apart and so was Love. But, Love tried whatever she could to get her off the roof. She told her to have faith and to pray for Adam and the best will happen. She says you know Adam loves you and he will find a way to come back. Even though Love believes she saved a life that day, Love still feel guilty about what she said. A few days later they found Adam’s body and his wife asked her why she told her those things, she should have let her die on the roof.

Adam was warned to leave the building by his older brother, Donald, but he would not leave until all his employees were safely out. There was an employee with a medical condition that made it difficult for her to leave. Adam was helping her.

Before 911, Adam sang in a Rock Band and was very talented. Because of his profession as Vice President at Euro Broker, he couldn’t grow his hair or wear earrings. But he had an incredible voice and loved to sing. When they played his music at his funeral there was not a dry eye in the house. Love says, when he sang he would always tell her, “come see me, come see me.” She didn’t go often, she was busy with girl friends. But whenever she did go, the second she hit the door, the band would immediately start playing “Dream On.” This song held special memories for Love and Adam. That was the song that Love’s father used to sing to her when she was a child. Now her uncle would sing it to her to bring her comfort. The song was always ready for her when he walked through the door and, while he would sing it, he would come to her with his mike in hand and hug and kiss her. That was his greeting for her.

At his funeral they had a Voice Memorial and “Dream On” was played in the background. Love says the words are so beautiful and they talk about continuing to dream and life moves on. She says he would never want her to stop her life. He just wanted her to do the right thing. And when she got a job in an office her would bring his executive friends by to meet her and tell them she is “a world class model.” He took her to charity functions and, if guys asked about her, he would tell them “that’s my niece, back off.”

Adam meant the world to Love, he was her best friend. In his memory, she does charity functions to raise money and keep his memory alive. Anything that has to do with 911, she is there to honor his memory in any way she can. And, from hearing her story and her emotion I honestly feel he is proudly looking down on her now and all she has accomplished in her life and singing, “Dream On” Love.

I Married A Mobster: Lorraine Arias-Beliveau, Love’s Mother

Originally posted 11 August 2011.

I often blog about the family and friends of the mob wives and mistresses that we watch each week. It’s not only interesting reading, but it gives us a fuller and deeper understanding of the women and their lives. Instead of the one dimensional picture we are given about their life in the mob, it’s insightful to have some additional information into who they are and where they came from. And, although we haven’t seen Love Majewski’s episode of I Married A Mobster yet, I came across a very interesting article in the Daily News, written by her mother, Lorraine Arias-Beliveau, that tells one amazing story.  It's the story of the love of a sister for her brother, who was a hero.

Lorraine describes how her youngest brother, Adam Arias, was a hero who saved lives the day the second World Trade Center building was struck in the 9/11 attack. His office was on the 84th floor. Lorraine says that another of their brothers, Major Donald Arias, in the US Air Force, had called to warn him about the attack and told him to get out of the building immediately. Adam was concerned for the safety of others and gave no thought to hmself.  He raced through the office making sure all employees left the building. Many have said that he saved their lives that day. Adam was last seen outside the towers helping firefighters get people to safety. In his valiant efforts to save others, he stayed moments too long at the site. The towers collapsed, he was killed and his remains were discovered 8 days later.

Adam Arias

Lorraine tells of her own personal experience, in the Daily News, of how she sought justice for her brother, Adam, who died in the 9/11 terrorist attack while trying to save lives. In January, 2009 she went to Guantanamo Bay, where terrorist trials were being held. She went there with her brothers. Very few victims’ families were allowed to go, and those that did, were picked by a lottery system. She describes what she witnessed when she got there. There was a courtroom and five “detainees,” the co-conspirators of 9/11, were brought in. Among them, the alleged mastermind of the terrorist attacks on the United States, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. She recalls how his lawyer stopped the proceedings to asked the court for a pillow for the accused to sit on and how this sparked a lot of heated discussion. Lorraine was in disbelief as she thought, this man was responsible for the death of more than three thousand innocent people and they were talking about a cushion for him to sit on?  Mohammed proudly declared his guilt, but the trial was soon postponed by President Obama.
