Mob Wives: BONUS Clip Ep 7 "Joint Custody"

The bonus clip from episode 7 is a little sitdown between Carla and Joe about custody of the kids. Carla went to see her attorney and automatically assumes she should get full custody of the kids. Joe wants to know why he can't have 50% custody. Carla tries to explain to him that if he has the kids half the time he will have to pay her more money. Joe tells "brains" that if he has 50% custody he would be paying less child support. Carla is lost in the legal verbiage. What else is new? Then Carla compliments the house and decor. Joe says Raquel decorated it. Carla makes a face as though someone just passed gas next to her. So much for her apology to Raquel in episode 7. Carla just won't give the girl a chance! And, once again Joe speaks negatively of Carla, yet the other day he said editing makes good things look bad...and I say, it's not the editing that makes Carla look bad, it's Carla.

Mob Wives: Joe & Carla Unhappy With "Reality?"

It seems that after episode 7, “No Love Lost” aired Sunday night, both Joe and Carla were venting about editing. According to them, editing is slanted to show the negative, but not the positive, in an effort to create “drama,” which is what the viewers want. So even though Joe had some pretty negative statements to make against Carla on the air, on Twitter he often comes to her defense. Carla was also a little vocal about the way a particular scene went down, indicating that she said some positive things to Drita that were cut. Here is what Joe had to say:

There is no question that after filming hours of video for 40 minutes of television, a lot is going to get cut. The question is, does the editing change or manipulate the “reality” so we see what they (the producers) want us to see OR are the cast members playing up the drama for more air time, even if it’s not how they really feel. Joe seems to talk about Carla one way on television and another on his timeline. It’s confusing. Maybe it’s a little of both. Maybe editing doesn’t give a balanced view, but a skewed view of certain situations. It could be a time issue, a drama issue, or a storyline issue, if producers want things to go a certain way. Here is what Carla had to say:

I’m sure this is the case with all reality shows and every cast member has probably been a victim to editing at one time or another. I specifically recall one scene that I found totally unbelievable and I blamed it on editing. It was the scene where Karen had a sit down with Carla and she went from angrily getting in her face to saying let’s be friends in a couple of minutes. Something was definitely cut out of that scene because it was so uncharacteristic of Karen and it made her look ridiculous. It would be interesting to have cast members talk about their issues with editing, but I’m sure that subject is taboo. Besides, if they complain, it’s comes down to biting the hand that pays them. Meanwhile, we always have their “vents” on Twitter to rely on. Who will be editing’s next victim? Stay tuned.

Mob Wives: Joe Ferragamo’s Guide To Incarceration?

The inspiration for my imagination

I was minding my own business on twitter when all of a sudden I come across Joseph Ferragamo tweeting about his new position as an Incarceration Counselor/Advisor. He is offering his services to those who are facing incarceration in the near future. I’m sure Joe has a lot of good, first hand advice and knowledge about prison life and how to while away the time. If Arnold Swartzenegger is the “Terminator,” then I am going to dub Joe “The Incarcerator.”

I have never been incarcerated, but I am curious as to what kind of advice Joe is prepared to give from his personal experience. I can’t very well ask him because it’s not fair for him to divulge all his secrets for free. But as I sit here, turning this around in my mind, I felt a blog coming on just for fun. Obviously, this is meant to be humorous, and nothing in this blog should be attributed to Joseph Ferragamo, whose only contribution was a bit of inspiration for a blog idea.

An Inmate’s Guide To Incarceration

1. Pick your friends wisely. Don’t befriend people who are chatterboxes or have low IQ’s or both. Their incessant chattering will make your 5 year sentence feel like 10 or more.

2. Start a diet. This ain’t Mayberry and you won’t be getting any of Aunt Bee’s home cooking. Prison food stinks, the mashed potatoes are lumpy, so just eat what you have to in order to survive and become lean and mean.

3. Exercise. A workout routine will help kill the time, keep you healthy both mentally and physically, and toughen you up. You never know when you might need that extra muscle in a tight squeeze.

4. Read the Bible. You are going to need a lot of prayer and meditation to get you through some bad situations. A sample bedtime prayer might be: Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my stash to keep, If I should die before I wake, I pray they know it was inmate Jake.

5. Be positive. Now is the time to catch up on all that reading you’ve been meaning to do, but never got around to because your criminal activities got in the way. Try getting your hands on Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment or War and Peace, by the time you finish one, you may be up for parole.

6. Be Resourceful. You don’t have much to work with in prison so you have to think like MacGyver. For example, you can make a set of dice out of papier-Mâché with toilet paper, water and glue. If you are very creative, you can even make a whole chess set.

7. Learn to Cook. You’d be amazed at what recipes prisoners can concoct with a few items purchased from the commissary, like Ramen noodles, and some stolen from the cafeteria. Study online recipes for prison life, like no bake cheesecake and prison wine, before being hauled to the klink. Being a prison chef just might keep you healthy and happy. Remember, the way to a fellow inmate’s heart may be through his stomach!

8. Educate yourself. Rehabilitation doesn’t work. Your best bet for getting a job when you are released is getting yourself educated. Maybe you can study to be a paralegal since you already have some first hand knowledge and background in the judicial system?

9. Write letters to loved ones. Pour out your experiences on paper. Who knows, when you get out, you might be able to turn the correspondence into a best selling book.

10. Learn to draw. What could be better than a prison novel? An illustrated prison novel!

11. Learn to sleep with one eye open. Just sayin'

PLUS BONUS Guide for jailhouse visitors: including directions on things like how visitors can smuggle in Sunday sauce and meatballs in a potato chip bag.

But seriously, if you know someone facing prison time, and they would like to consult with Joseph Ferragamo about what to expect in prison and more, you can reach him on Twitter @JosephFerragamo.

Thanks to Joe for being a good sport!

Mob Wives: Recap “Bad Boys,” Ep 302

First, here is what was cut out of last night's episode. Drita's NEW image and

Carla still dissing Joe and Raquel. Interesting, no? The last part is all Carla so wait for it!

RECAP: At Renee’s house, Karen and Ramona arrive and see the for sale sign outside. Ramona thinks it’s a good thing to get rid of bad memories. Renee is very happy to see them. She tells them everything that went on with her sit down with Carla. “She called me a junkie. She says I am a whore and slept with married men. Carla’s addiction is to married men.” Karen and Ramona want to know what did Big Ang and Drita do? Renee says they did nothing. “Carla picked up a butter knife.” Ramona can’t believe it, she doesn’t know if she should laugh because it’s like a bad joke. Ramona says, “What did she want to do, get some butter and whip it all over you?" They all laugh about the butter knife. Renee says Carla has no respect, “the only thing she knows how to do with her hand is j*rk a guy off.”

Carla says she used to feel sorry for Renee, but she can’t any more. “What goes on in my life is my f*cking business.” Then she says the kids like being at daddy’s big house. She doesn’t know why he got such a big house. The kids tell her he cooks and cleans a lot. They tell her they went to Coney Island. Carla says maybe if he cleaned when she was with him they would still be together. Then she asks about Raquel and questions why this younger girl wants to be with Joe, who just got out of jail, is much older and has kids. Carla seems overly concerned about what goes on in Joe’s house. She pumps the kids for information.

Drita goes to the pet store with Lucky and runs into Ang and her new puppy Chanel. They talk about the sit down. Ang says Carla is a maniac, a lunatic. Drita says she went bonkers. Drita feels bad for Renee, but she is glad they both said what they needed to say and agreed to be civil around each other. So, Big Ang wants to have a botox bash with ALL the girls. Drita just found out Love was back, when Ang says who she is inviting. Drita describes Love as Renee without the crying.

Drita, Carla and Ang walk along the boardwalk at Coney Island, they are going to Brighton Beach. Ang tells them about the botox bash. Carla says she can deal with Renee in a room full of people. They ask about Joe’s girlfriend because Carla told them they wouldn’t be together long and they still are. She tells them she doesn’t care about Raquel because she doesn’t want to be with Joe. “Raquel is a young, sweet, matronly girl to powder his balls.” Drita tells them Lee is coming home in six months. Ang thinks Drita should give Lee another chance for the kids, they need their faher. Drita gets a call while they are talking and it’s Lee. He wants Drita and the girls to come and pay him a visit. Drita says if the girls want to go she will definitely take them.

AJ gets home from his grandfather’s sentencing hearing. Renee didn’t go because she was afraid Junior would be there. He tells his mother he is getting 27 months and 6 months off for time served. Everyone asked where Renee was. Renee said she didn’t know if she could sit there and  handle it. AJ tells her about his grandfather’s letter of apology to his wife, all the children and grandchildren. Renee starts crying, but is relieved and happy to know that her father doesn’t blame them for what Junior did. She worries it’s a big burden on AJ to know that his father is responsible for putting his grandfather back in prison. Renee says she is ready to move on with everything in her life and they are moving out of that house. AJ thinks it’s a good idea.

Drita is at the park with the girls and Lucky, kicking the soccer ball around. Drita tells them she could have been a professional soccer player, but she made bad choices and hung out with the wrong people. She is confused about how she feels about Lee. She tells them Lee is coming home soon, but he won’t come directly home, he has to go to a halfway house first. She wants to go see him. Aleeya says she wants to go, but Giselle says no. Drita won’t force her, but they talk about Lee a little more and Giselle changes her mind. Drita is very happy about that.

Joe and Raquel play basketball in the park. Joe says he spent 6 years in jail, it’s a different world there, and now he appreciate all the little things more. He says Raquel is a conversationalist and Carla is argumentative. Their personalities are very different. Raquel says they are happy together and their relationship is solid. That’s all that really matters right now. Joe says things are so easy with her. She asks him if he talked to Carla yet. He says, not yet, soon, he is waiting for the right time. All Carla knows is that he is dating Raquel, but he has been stalling about telling her that Raquel is moving in with him because he is afraid Carla will have a negative reaction. Raquel thinks Carla is upset because when the kids are with her and Joe they look like a family. She may not like to see another woman involved with her kids. He tells Raquel that Carla liked it better when he was in jail. Raquel is moving in regardless what Carla says.

Drita is opening a makeup store, but can’t find one that works for her. Then she goes to see Big Ang at the Drunken Monkey and tells her what a hard time she is having finding a location. Big Ang tells her there is a store right across the street for rent. They go over and look at it. Drita is thrilled. It’s exactly what she is looking for . She calls the number and asks about the rent. It’s $950. Perfect! She wants to see the inside and says she will pay them when they get there. She want to build an empire for her girls.

Karen goes with Renee to look at houses for Renee. Renee has issues with all the houses. She is afraid someone will break in. She is afraid of doors, windows, basements, attics and cars on the street. She is worried about her safety and she need security. She tells Karen she wants to live in a home with one door and you have to climb up to get to the windows.

Carla and the kids are in the car heading off to Joe’s house to be dropped off for the weekend. She mumbles something about how she hopes Joe spends quality time with the kids. “Hope Joe and Raquel are not locked in a room doing fun things.” The kids go in the house and Joe and Carla talk. Right off the bat Carla tells him he doesn’t need such a big house. He says he won’t be a bachelor his whole life. He tells her there is more than enough room for everyone and he didn’t know Carla was sleeping with the kids till they were nine. Then he tells her he has been seeing Raquel for months and he is asking her to move in with him. Carla has a little fit. “I don’t know who Joe thinks he is putting this little young girl in her face.” She doesn’t like the idea, it’s not her home. She thinks Raquel is looking for Joe to be her sugar daddy and pay for everything. Joe tells her he met Raquel at work and she has a job and contributes to the bills. He tells her Raquel is moving in. Carla says she is still the mother of those kids and Raquel is still the girlfriend…kiss my ass.”

The botox party is at the doctor’s office. All the girls were invited. Carla and Drita have not arrived but they begin without them. Love goes first and says it hurts bad, but she is joking. Karen goes next. Ramona screams it burns. Renee arrives and sees Drita and Carla aren’t there, but then she sees Love. Renee tells Love she wants to make sure that they are both okay. Love say she meant what she said and reassures her that she doesn’t date married men. Renee doesn’t have an issue with her any more. They go get some botox done. Drita calls Ang and says she can’t make the party because she has a toothache. Then Drita adds Carla won’t be coming because she feels uncomfortable. Renee announces that Carla isn’t coming because she has a problem with Love. Love says she will leave and go ask her what her problem is. The fact is that Carla is “dating” the guy that Love broke up with (Handy Man). Love is irritated with Carla. Karen says Carla should run if she has a problem with Love. Love has a long history of violent behavior.

Renee goes through her mail and opens a letter. She reads it. It’s in Junior’s handwriting. She feels chills go up her spine. She is thinking she is dead. She is calling all the girls but no one is picking up. She is very afraid he is going to kill her. She takes off with the letter. She finally gets Ramona and says she needs to see her.

MY TWO CENTS

Here goes. I have a headache and it’s bound to get worse after this recap, but I have no choice, do I? I am going to be called a “hater” again today. Let’s get it over with.

This is the first time I take issue with the title of the episode, “Bad Boys,” I think it should have been called “Bad Girl.” I will explain why later, or maybe, if you know me by now, you have figured it out. Let’s break the episode down, shall we?

Where the hell are Karen and Ramona? I mean yes, we saw them, but I hope they aren’t going to be just supporting cast members the whole season. I understand that time has to be devoted to developing new cast members and their storyline, but I want my dynamic duo back on the scene!

Renee’s issue with security and safety are understandable under the circumstances. Her house being broken into and her feeling threatened by Junior is more than enough for her to feel paranoid about her well being. I would too. I don’t know if there is any way to help her over that feeling. It will probably take a long time. I’m glad she has Karen and Ramona to help her try to get over it. A new house is a move in the right direction, but she may have to have bars or gates installed on all the windows, a secure front door and a good alarm system to feel better.

Drita has done a 180 this season and I for one am happy to see it. She looks so much more relaxed and happy. Things are going well for her. She seems a lot less stressed. I know she is excited about how things in her life are going. And she seems to be sticking to her resolve not to get involved in any fights! I’m not sure if she should get back together with Lee, although that may have happened by now because this was filmed months ago. Maybe Big Ang is right and she should see if he has changed and they can work on putting their family back together. Time will tell. In any case, the truth is those girls need their father in their lives and I hope Lee works hard to rebuild a relationship with his daughters. I wonder if Lee will be on the show this season…Jennifer?

Love seems to fit right in with everyone…except Carla. I have to wonder why Carla has an issue with Love? Oh, right, it’s because Love went out with Handy Man for a short time and broke up with him and now Carla has her leftovers. That shouldn’t be a problem for Carla, if it’s not a problem for Love. Looks like there is more to come on this storyline so stay tuned. I think Love is going to want to have it out with Carla. Carla might want to take Karen’s advice and run.

Way to start the New Year off right!

Let's get to know Raquel. Joe and Raquel are very likable as a couple. They seem happy to me. I have followed Raquel on Twitter since Carla first told the girls on the show that he was dating a “young girl” and asks Joe if she brought her Barbie dolls when she spends time with the kids? This is what I know about Raquel from Twitter. The girl loves to take pictures. She loves her dog. She takes pictures of herself, her and Joe, her family and friends and Joe’s children. She tweets she goes to work and the gym. She loves Joe. She seems to be a lovely lady. In all this time there hasn’t been one tweet that would lead anyone to think otherwise. And you know if there was one I would have found it.

Raquel and Carmen doing homework together!

Joe and Raquel have a little chat while playing basketball. Joe gives us an assessment of the different personalities of these two ladies: Raquel is a conversationalist, Carla is combative. It seems Joe has intentions of having Raquel move in with him, but he is afraid to tell Carla because she might have a negative reaction. Ya think? Joe is waiting for the right moment to break the news that Carla is moving down to the #2 slot and Raquel is #1. Raquel may have hit the nail on the side of it’s head when she said Carla may not like her because when the kids are with them they look like a family (we did a blog on Joe’s picture perfect family not long ago). She thinks Carla doesn’t like seeing another woman mothering her children. But, Rachel doesn’t think Carla is jealous of her…and that’s where I think she missed hitting the rest of that nail. I think Carla is jealous of Raquel for two reasons: one she has Joe and they are happy, two she is very young. Enough said.

Now for my title suggestion…Bad Girl! Have you figured it out? Yes, I am referring to Carla. Where do I begin? I won’t rewind and go back to last week’s episode of butter knives and “junkie” because that’s been done to death. Let’s move on to this week.

Carla says, “What goes on in my life is my f*cking business!”

I agree 100% with her. But...

then she proceeds to spend the rest of the episode in Joe’s business. Go figure. She pumps the kids for information about what goes on at Joe’s house. I am going to cut her slack for that because I don’t know if some producer put her up to that or not. But, then she starts saying things like, “I don’t know why he got such a big house,” “he doesn’t need a big house,” she insinuates that Raquel is a gold digger and only with Joe for his money and then stoops to an all time low, saying she hopes Joe and Raquel haven’t locked themselves in a room doing “fun things” and leaving the kids unsupervised. I don’t know what her problem is, but it doesn’t end there. Nope. She tells the girls:

“I don’t know much about Raquel, but knowing Joe, she’s probably a young, sweet little matronly girl. You know, someone to do his laundry, powder his balls…”

What does that sound like to you? Bitterness? Jealousy? That’s what I am hearing. She has been with her Handy Man for 2, 3 or 4 years depending who you listen to. She has had him around the kids. I never heard a word from Joe about that. Oh, maybe I did. I think Carla was leading him on to believe there was a chance for them to get back together when he got out of prison, but all the while she was allegedly seeing Handy at the same time. So I think Joe found out about that and was pissed. Then he met Raquel and he has been happy ever since. If Carla is so happy with Handy, why can’t Joe be happy with Raquel?

Tweeted: "Life can't get any better."

Ok so who in the world uses the words YOUNG and MATRONLY in the same sentence to describe the same person? Carla does. Let’s go to the dictionary for a minute and tell her what matronly means: “Like or characteristic of a matron, esp. in being dignified and staid and typically associated with having a large or plump build.” So I think we can all agree that Raquel is far from matronly, for that matter, so is Carla.

Tweet: "My love."
So happy together

Now when Joe decides to talk to Carla, after she drops off the kids, things don’t go well, as he expected. When he tells her Raquel is moving in with him, her thoughts are, “Does he think I’m gonna go for this? I don’t think so.” I guess Joe’s life isn’t his business? She is concerned about the welfare of her children, so she says. I guess maybe she thinks Raquel will be a bad influence? I saw a picture of Raquel doing homework with Carmen. I was pretty impressed. It’s obvious to me that she really cares for those children and Carla has nothing to be concerned about. If anything she should be happy that Joe found a nice woman who cares for his children. Now if anyone has a right to say something and be concerned, it’s Joe. Carla has had Handy Man around both her kids for a long time. He has a criminal record…"a rap sheet." So maybe Carla should focus on her own “f*cking business” as she calls it, and stay out of Joe’s. Carla’s parting words: “I don’t want my kids to feel uncomfortable because she’s living in that house now,” Carla says. I'm still the mother of those kids, you’re the girlfriend. I don’t care where the f*ck you live.” Did anyone hear the kids complain? I didn’t. Then she adds, “Kiss my ass,” and drives off! What class! Joe had the decency to tell her about Raquel before doing anything, but you see where that got him?

And now I may have exceeded the length of last week’s blog so I need to wrap this up. Bad Girl Carla got down with her bad self…again! Let the haters begin, but at least read the blog before you attack. I think I was more than fair.

Mob Wives: Out With "The Old"

Joe's Midnight Kiss!

It's a new year and it's time for that saying, "Out with the old and in with the new!" And that sure applies to Joe and Carla and season three of Mob Wives. Carla has been throwing digs and daggers at this new "young girl, Joe thinks he can throw in her face." Carla shouldn't make it so obvious just how jealous she is and chill out. Otherwise, she just may get some frown lines.

Meanwhile, from the looks of the picture above, Joe and his young girlfriend really know how to celebrate New Year's Eve! Joe has some serious swagger and, is that an old fashioned "dip" he has pulled off, with the kiss? Yeah, I think so. Joe is a charismatic, romantic and I do believe Carla is still hooked on him. We'll get to see more of this on season three when she has to deal with the fact Joe and Girlfriend are moving in together. As the saying goes...out with the "old"...and poof Carla has been replaced in Joe's heart, his life and his home.

Carmen helping pick out new paint!

In the picture above, Joe's daughter, Carmen, is helping pick out the paint for Joe and Raquel's new home below. It looks like they are doing a great job of of painting too.

Here is the "paint crew" at work in their new home!

Now I also managed to find a couple of pictures of Carla's New Year's Eve to compare. Carla has been with Handy Man for at least a couple of years, more or less, so this is nothing new. But here you go:

They went all out on glasses! BUT couldn't they find a pair of 2013?
Maybe it's me?

Carla's New Year's Eve!

So there you have it! Who do you think did a better job of getting rid of the "old" and bringing in the "new"? I have my thoughts about it. Do you?

Mob Wives Saving Lives Photos!

Toni Marie Ricci and Karen Gravano

Did you miss last night's event? If you did you missed a huge opportunity to meet a few of your favorite Mob Wives! Many of the Mob Wives were hosting this event and raising money for victims of Sandy. We were lucky to get some pictures of those who were present for a cause that close to all their hearts. I am sharing what I have with our readers and maybe we will get some insight into season three (lol chirp) from who was and wasn't there. I learned from Twitter that Renee Graziano was not well and unable to attend. Michael Bell donated a piece of his artwork for the fund raiser and some of the Mob Wives autographed it. Joe Ferragmo was there with his lovely girlfriend. Toni Marie refers to Joe as a real "gentleman" and his girlfriend "a doll." I love Joe's white, fresh, crisp shirt!

It looks to me like everyone had a great time for a good cause. Maybe they filmed some of the event for season three of the show and we can get a better idea of what went on? I wouldn't be surprised.

Mob Wives: Joe Ferragamo’s “Picture Perfect” Family

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It was back in May when we first blogged about Joe’s new girlfriend. He had already been seeing her for awhile. She was mentioned on Mob Wives during the second season in a scene when Joe and Carla were at the gym together. Joe was telling Carla how well his girlfriend gets along with the kids and he thought it was nice. If you remember, a snarky, insecure and seemingly jealous Carla asked Joe, “Does she bring over her Barbie dolls?” Well, the girlfriend must be doing something right because they are still together. They live together, they have a dog, Achilles, together and they spend lots of time with the twins, Carmen and JoJo. Joe seems quite happy with his little family.

Girlfriend with "her man!"

When Joe got out of prison there was plenty of speculation that he and Carla would try to patch things up. It looked like Joe might have been inclined to try. Carla’s mother always loved Joe and thought they should be together. Carla even said she was waiting for Joe to make some kind of effort to prove himself and show he had changed. And when she was asked about them ever getting back together she would answer, “never say never,” keeping her heart and door open. So what happened with that?  Word on the street has it that Handy Man was still tinkering around in Carla's "toolbox." Soon after this Joe and his girlfriend got together and the rest is history!

The girlfriend is always taking pictures!
Here the twins are showing how old they are...10!

Joe and his girlfriend recently celebrated Carmen and JoJo's 10th birthday with them this past November. It looks like they all had a very nice time, doesn't it? The twins are adorable!

So Joe really has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. He seems to have found himself a nice, beautiful young lady who “loves her man” and strokes his ego.  She is great with his kids. She has no bags, no sags, no wrinkles, no handyman, like Carla aka "HOT COOCHIE" (as Mob Mistress likes to call her). They look wonderful and happy together. They go everywhere together and always have time for the twins.

Quality time with Carmen!
Oh...is that an engagement ring? Thanks @MobBabyy!!!

And what about Thanksgiving? Well Carla aka HOT Coochie spent it with Handy, Big Ang and her family, while Joe and his girlfriend seem to have had a nice, cozy little celebration at home. Where were the twins? Beats me.

Big Ang= Team Carla

The Lovebirds!

And SOURCES tell us we can expect to see a lot more of Joe Ferragamo in season three of Mob Wives along with his pretty girlfriend! The new season premieres on January 6th, 2013! The viewers and readers of the blog seem to have fallen in love with this charismatic man. We also hear that Season Three is really heating up and lines are being drawn! Friends are quickly becoming foes. Allegiances are being tested. And Mob Mistress says, "cunts will be revealed." There goes Mob Mistress, always keeping it real!

One thing I am very sure of, if there is ever a Team Carla vs Team Joe, I am Team Joe all the way! Carla has always been my least favorite mob wife and I wouldn't miss her one bit if she was replaced. Speaking of being replacing Carla...I think Joe has already done a very fine job of that himself!

Mob Wives: Is Carla Jealous Much?

Is Carla Jealous? You tell me?

There was some discussion on the Mob Wives Reunion show about Joe's young girlfriend. She's in her 20's. Carla says she is okay with it because with Joe, girlfriends come and girlfriends go. He quotes her as saying he changes girlfriends like he changes underwear. But, no one really believed Carla that she was not romantically interested in Joe. Even Joy had trouble thinking they were done. And Carla, much to my surprise, added something to the effect, you never know what the future holds and "never say never."

Well, I was reading what happened the other night on Twitter and it seems there was some discussion about Joe's girlfriend going on between Carla and Joe. I think Carla is not completely done with Joe...take a look at what happens when Joe tweets a picture of his sweetheart:

Carla just could not resist the temptation to knock the young girl down a few pegs tweeting, "She has a huge head and chin." Really? I've seen plenty of pictures of this young lady and never once thought her head or chin were unusually large. To me it sounds like the mutterings of a somewhat jealous, maybe slightly scorned, older woman. And knowing how touchy Carla is about her age, she is likely to be feeling somewhat insecure and maybe even threatened. Who knows? However, Joe and Carla wrap up their little conversation on a slightly nasty tone and I will leave it up to you to decide what Carla's symbolic code means...I translate it to "asshole."

Mob Mistress read the tweet and shared, "What the hell?  The girlfriend's face is fine compared to Carla's mile long, Mr. Ed look-a-like head!" I had to wait till I stopped crying to share that in my post!

Is Carla jealous and still hooked on Joe? I say yes, what do you say? Send in the Clowns, once again!

Mob Wives: Carla and Joe Visit The Bronx!

Carla and Giovanni enjoying cannoli

It’s no surprise to my readers that I'm a big fan of the Bronx. It’s not only because of the Mama's Boys show, but because that’s where my roots are. Even before Giovanni, from the Mama's Boys, put Arthur Avenue on the map, it’s been my favorite place to shop and frequent restaurants. For those of you who don't know, Arthur Avenue still consists of mom and pop stores. They have some of the finest Italian foods available. So it’s no surprise that another Mob Wife has been here visiting.

Carla with Paulie of La Casa Grande Cigars

Yesterday, Carla and Joe, of Mob Wives, paid a visit to the market. They  met up with Giovanni, the cannoli king. Giovanni says she "loved" his cannoli. Did she eat the whole thing? I heard the day was filled with Giovanni's typical “ball-breaking” antics and a great lunch. I hope Carla took advantage of stocking up on some of the great Italian foods. It looks like Carla enjoyed herself and had some laughs.

Mob Wives: Recap “Torn Apart” Ep 211

Renee's world falls apart in this episode

Carla and Drita go out to New York City for a night on the town. Drita wants to meet some guys, drink, dance and have a good time, without drama. Drita feels free because of her filing for divorce from Lee. Carla says she is the “wing girl” and she spots the cute guys for Drita. Carla thinks Drita needs to brush up on her dating skills. Drita says she would love to meet a guy and go out on a date. Then she meets a guy who knows her and Lee and she gets annoyed because now Lee is going to know she was out having fun. Her night out is ruined. She has one last drink and she and Carla leave. She says it’s not easy to move on and close the door to a life.

Drita's attempt at dating isn't going smoothly!

Big Ang, Karen and Ramona go out for drinks. Big Ang talks about her Uncle Sally Dogs and Karen asks how he got that name. Big Ang says he was like a bull dog. Karen’s father, Sammy, was very close to Sally Dogs. Those were the good old days as they all reminisce over the fun times they all shared. Big Ang brings up about her past arrest and how a friend of hers wore a wire and taped her in the bathroom peeing…“the rat bastard!”

At Renee’s house, Renee checks Junior’s appointment book. Junior is going to be sentenced in a couple of months to 18 to 21 months jail time. There has to be a PSI report done. A pre-sentencing investigation looks at everything the person has done in their life. Renee says she fights with Junior for no reason and he has distanced himself from her and she is sad. He says she has mood swings because of his cheating in the past that she can’t let go of it. She feels he doesn’t love her and he says maybe it’s because of her bad attitude. She blames her mood on the fact that she is living in limbo not know what is going to happen and waiting for him to go to jail. She is afraid to lose him and she can’t handle it, it’s killing her. Junior is matter of fact about it. She wants to fix things and be happy…be happy with Junior. He says she has nothing to worry about, he will be there for her.

Bigg Ang has nothing good to say about her husband, Neil.

Big Ang and Drita are in a deli shopping. Drita tells Big Ang about her night out with Carla. Big Ang tells Drita about her husband, Neil. They are married two and a half years and after they got married things went downhill. He started staying out all night, cheating and drinking. She threw him out seven months ago. Big Ang doesn’t believe she should pay all the bills, that’s a man’s job. Big Ang tells Drita that she can’t go from a street guy to a regular guy. Big Ang’s husband is younger than Lee, only 38!

Ramona and Renee are sitting in a booth at a restaurant talking about Junior. Ramona says she has to stop bringing her past into her future. Renee tells Ramona how she feels neglected by Junior and how there is a lack of affection between them. But, Junior has been very close to her father over the years. Renee says her father called her to ask if she was alive and then hangs up. Ramona and her dad have no relationship at all. Renee says her dad doesn’t talk to her but she knows he will always be there for her. Ramona is sad because her kids don’t have a relationship with their father or their grandfather. Renee wants to repair her relationship with her father because he is 71 and hopes that one day he will forgive her.

Carla and Joe go to dinner and she tells him about a parent-teacher meeting at school . She wants him to go. Then she tells him about Drita’s idea to go speed dating and that she is going to join her and try it. He asks her if she knows what that is and she says no. Joe explains it to her and he supports her dating again. Joe and Carla reminisce about her great ass and corduroy pants.

Renee is in bed feeling anxiety, depression ad exhaustion.  She is hoping that Junior understand the conversation they had because he keeps pulling away from her and she doesn’t understand it. She hopes they can fix things because of the love they share.

Renee is expecting Junior to come home after meeting with his parole officer, but she finds a letter that he left for her and she reads it. She becomes agitated and nervous. Renee calls her friends Nikole and Karen, to tell them what is in the letter. Junior has turned himself in to the Feds for brandishing a pistol and armed robbery. Renee has no clue where he is and why he says he isn’t using his old lawyer. She doesn’t know what to do or who to call. She is stressed, confused and devastated.

Renee calls Ramona and tells her Junior woke up and took himself to jail, leaving a letter for her on the nightstand. These new charges carry a sentence of seven years in prison and will be added to his old charges of gambling. In the letter, Junior writes that he loves her, he will always love her. He hopes things work out for her and that she moves on and finds someone. Renee cries and says she will never leave him and move on. She says she can’t even cry because all she can think of is that while he is in prison she won’t have to worry about him cheating on her.

Drita and Carla go speed dating and they don’t know what to expect. They are nervous. Drita is scared of meeting new guys. They meet a guy named Kevin who says he is engaged. That gets Drita worked up, like what the hell is he doing speed dating if he is in a relationship? Another guy lives out of state and she says he might as well be in prison because they will never be able to see each other. There are a couple of young, single guys who were never married and don’t have children and they also met a couple of jerks. No one was suitable. They both leave.

Karen goes over to Renee’s and Renee tells Karen everything that happened. Karen is in complete shock over the 7 year prison sentence and the whole good bye letter doesn’t make sense to her. Renee says she has nothing left, no money. Karen doesn’t know how to help her. Renee says she is losing it and starts saying, “I want to go, I want to go.” She doesn’t want to live. She is scaring Karen who tells her she has to be strong. Karen says, don’t let the government win and break you. Renee doesn’t blame the government, they are just doing their jobs.  Renee’s mental state is not right. Karen begs her to be strong for AJ. Karen relates to AJ because she was his age when her father was arrested. Renee needs to find out where Junior is right now. She calls the Federal Detention Center to ask about Junior. They tell her they can’t answer anything until after midnight. Renee wants answers, so she makes her friend Nikole call and ask about Junior. This time the woman asks the inmate’s name, and Nikole says “Pagan.” The woman says Hector Pagan? And then goes to check it out. She comes back to say that he is being processed right now and that he looks well. Nikole wants to make arrangements for AJ to see his father. The woman tells her that won’t be possible. Renee’s depression kicks in and she gets sick to her stomach.  Her biggest fear is being along, of growing old alone. Karen is there for her. Renee cries and screams that she can’t save her family. It’s all too much for her.

Nikole and Karen eventually leave Renee alone. Renee needs to know where Junior is to put her mind and AJ’s mind at ease. She says she has no spirit, no will no drive. Renee leaves a message for Junior’s parole officer. Then she talks to her cousin on the phone. Her cousin is at her father’s house. While she is asking her cousin questions regarding Junior’s situation she hears the police arrive at her dad’s house and terror sets in. Renee can hear what’s going on and realizes that her father is being arrested by the Feds. She cries saying she is ten minutes away and can’t get there fast enough to say good bye. Renee can’t save her family and she feels helpless. The episode ends with Renee having a serious emotional breakdown over her dad’s arrest.

MY TWO CENTS:

It’s very difficult to have any fun writing up my opinion this week when the episode deals almost exclusively with Renee’s life falling apart right before our eyes. I am thankful that what we saw last night took place months ago and that we have seen Renee fight her way back from it. Jennifer Graziano tweeted that this week and next week’s episodes were very difficult for her to watch. They were for me too. I have to admit that, when the show first started and they said it was based on reality, I was a huge skeptic and felt a lot of it was scripted. But you just can’t script these kinds of things. They were in the news and we all read it. This is as real as it gets. Renee, more than any of the other mob wives, has endured so much in the past ten months, from her horrific surgery on June 27th,  battling a deadly infection, the arrest of Junior and then her father, to finding out Junior cut a deal that resulted in the ultimate betrayal of her family. And through it all, Renee has always maintained her dignity and class, continued with the show and made many appearances without skipping a beat. If that’s not a strong woman, I don’t know what is. That’s why I say, when you think of Mob Wives, you think of Renee Graziano.

Now for the show! Drita’s dating situation is looking a bit desperate. Going to a bar to find the right man isn’t going to work well for Drita. She has celebrity status and is recognizable. Someone, or more likely more than one person, is sure to know who she is. This will only be a waste of time in my opinion. Then she tried speed dating. Speed dating allows you to meet several people in the course of a few minutes, to see if you click. You spend five minutes with a person and then, if you like what you hear, you exchange numbers and meet for a drink during the week. I think that’s ok for people who are unknown, but certainly not for Drita, who will attract every jerk in the house. Here’s a suggestion for Jennifer to run with, if Drita is really available: Over the summer ask men who are interested in meeting Drita for dating and a possible relationship to submit a video of themselves and a resume. The videos must be five minutes long and reveal why they think they are the perfect match for Drita. The videos will be reviewed by Carla, Renee and Big Ang. They will pick three to five of the most promising eligible bachelor’s. Jennifer will have those guys checked out to make sure they are for real. Dates will be arranged with each guy and the whole process, from start to finish, will be filmed. It can be used as part of Mob Wives or be it’s own little summer spin off (please no Carrie Keagan as a host!). The spin off can be called, “Drita Needs A Regular Guy” or something…I can’t think of everything, I’m not getting paid.

The rest of the show is about Renee’s world crashing down around her. I was thinking about what to say this morning. Renee was emotional, but what happened is as bad as it gets for her. Next week’s episode may even be worse, when the truth comes out that Junior was behind her father’s arrest. That episode is called The Ultimate Betrayal.

I just have one comment to make about the part of the show dealing with Renee. I don’t mean it as a criticism, it’s just that I don’t understand something. I was shocked that both Nikole and Karen left Renee alone considering the state of mind she was in. Of course, they might have been told to leave, and Renee really wasn’t alone because the camera crew, and possibly even Jennifer herself, were still there. But when they are filming, they make it look as though she is at home alone. So I don’t know. I don’t think Renee should have been left alone and could have used the support of everyone around her. But, no one asked me and I am not the executive producer, so I will leave the thinking to Jennifer, since she has been doing very well without my help.

Mob Wives: Joe Ferragamo & Son

Joe Ferragamo, Carla's husband, was recently released from prison just a few short months ago.  He was away for several years for stock fraud, but is now back with his family and making up for lost time with his children.  Here is a picture Carla shared of Joe with his son, Joseph.  Joseph looks very happy and very handsome standing next to his Dad.  Looks like the two of them are spending some quality time together.

I hope we will learn more about the family dynamics in season two, for example, how are Joe and Carla getting along, how is Joe adjusting to being out of prison, how are the twins getting along with their Dad.  What ever happens in the future, they sure do make one great looking family!

Mob Wives: Chiara's Suggestions For Season 2

No doubt Renee is right about there being more drama for season 2. I have watched Mob Wives all season. I have read dozens of articles, interviews and watched videos of the all the mob wives. I have learned a lot from all of them about these women and the show. However, I didn’t expect to learn so much from our blog. The reading habits of our readers has helped me to see some of the things that are of most interest to the fans who visit our site. I also have some things I would like to see on and off the show that I would like to suggest. Maybe you do too? Here are some of the ideas I have.

1. Give AJ a larger role on the show. AJ is very popular with the younger fans of the show because of his handsome looks. AJ is also popular with older fansof the show, because he is a mature, respectful young man with good values. In short, people enjoy seeing AJ and have a very positive response to him. I would like to see a tender moment between AJ and Renee discussing their feelings about her father being released from prison. I would like to see other scenes of AJ as well, maybe at his computer, discussing different colleges with his mother, working on a school project, listening to music, or playing a video game with his cousin, Justin.

2. Cut back on the use of profanities. I think this has already been happening as the show progressed. But it’s my feeling that, when those types of words are thrown around all the time and for no reason, they lose their impact and “shock value.” Maybe they should be reserved for scenes showing anger, even annoyance, or frustration. I don’t think any of the women use profanity as much as it is depicted on the show, so why add gratuitous profanity in their dialogue on the show?

3. A Picture of Lee D’Avanzo. Everyone and their grandmother wants to see Lee. If the producers can manage to get a picture of Lee D’Avanzo into the show it would bring about some high ratings for that episode. Our readers, and google searches indicate that viewers are very curious and interested in seeing a picture of the man that Karen and Drita have been fighting over all season long. The Lee storyline has been a big focus of the show and the finale has only served to increase the fans interest in what he looks like. I would suggest maybe a heart to heart talk between Drita and Aleeya where one of them is holding his picture and then a close up shot of it. At some point Drita does need to talk to Aleeya, if she hasn’t already, because she will most certainly learn about Lee’s cheating from watching the show or hearing about it from someone else. If that scenario doesn’t work, Drita can be talking to Carla about Lee and the status of her marriage, with his picture in hand, and she can slam it down, just like she does with the phone.

4. An interview with Jennifer Graziano. Viewers are curious about Jenn Graziano, it’s only natural. Maybe a very short candid interview with her, regarding the her concept for the show and how it evolved, could be worked into the beginning or end of an episode. We know Ms. Graziano is a private and reserved person, but there is a lot of interest in her role as executive producer and creator of the show. We’d also like more details on future projects she is planning or working on.

5. Question & Answer show with the Mob Wives and their fans. Everyone in the studio audience gets a T-Shirt, it reads their “team name” eg. Team Renee, Team Karen, Team Drita, Team Carla. The random audience members can ask prescreened questions to the four Mob Wives. I think it would be a great way to promote the show, as well as give fans an opportunity to see other sides to all the wives that may not come out on the show. I would schedule it a week or two before season 2 actually starts, to create a buzz, and have it hosted by Wendy Williams?

6. How about a talk show program with the Mob Wives and their mothers (not sure this is possible). But, it would certainly bring about a lot of publicity for the show as I think fans would love to see the mob wives with their mothers, seeing how they are alike, how they are different, how they get along and what they have to say about each other.

7. An appearance by Joe Ferragamo. We have heard a lot about Joe and viewers jumped at the chance to see his photos online. I think it would be of great interest to see Joe interacting with his children, after a brief interaction with Carla, just to see the family dynamic between Joe and Carla and the kids. I think many people are curious to also see what Joe looks like today, after 5 years in prison.

8. Jail Mail Inc. There has been tremendous interest in Renee’s new company, Jail Mail Inc. Much more than I ever expected. Our blog on Jail Mail was number one for the longest time. I would hope there will be a scene showing the operation of this new company, at its office, to see how it’s going to work.

9. An appearance by David Seabrook. David is another person the audience has been interested. It would be easy to tape Karen, Karina and David having an intimate family dinner together, maybe discussing their future plans as to where they will all be living or even discussing the progress on Karen’s book. I think the viewers would love to see David and how he interacts with Karen and Karina.

10. A trip to Morocco! Send the Mob Wives to Morocco! Of course this is just a joke. I couldn’t resist making this comment after watching the hilarious three episodes of the Real Housewives of New York on their trip to Morocco. Can you imagine our four ladies riding across the desert on camels? The heat has a way of bringing out the worst in people and there is no AC out in the desert. The NY wives had plenty of drama while they were they to relax and enjoy themselves. From the looks of it they could not get along if their lives depended on it. If I had to label their drama vs. the Mob Wives drama I would call the NY Housewives as “squabbles” and the Mob Wives as “brawls.” No comparison.

But, I digress.   A nice trip for all four Mob Wives would be in order…maybe to the Jersey Shore or the Bahamas?   How do we work that into an episode?   I don’t know, I can’t think of everything!
So tell us!  What would you like to see next season?
