Mob Wives: Sneak Peek Video Season 3 Episode3

Renee Graziano fears for her safety in the Mobfessional.
We love, love, love when the VH1 Gods share a sneak peek of an episode.  It helps get us through our Mob Wives addiction until Sunday arrives.  We get a glimpse of Ramona Rizzo getting her do done.  Renee walks in needing to tell her something.

The something is Renee Graziano's ex-husband Hector "Junior" Pagan has sent her a letter.  Apparently Mr. Pagan doesn't want Renee turning their son against him.  Now I don't know any of the individuals personally.  However, from the little I do see of A.J. Pagan he seems to make it no secret that he loves his mother, father and grandfather.  The situation is unfortunate for all involved.  Watch the video for yourself:

Do you think the letter was a threat?  Do you think Renee Graziano has seen the last of Hector?  Let us know your thoughts on the video in the comment section if you feel like it.  Tune in on Sunday January 20 to watch Mob Wives @ 8PM on VH1.  Am I the only one who thinks Emilio & Uli were robbed once again on Project Runway All-Stars?  Random, I know.

Casting Alert: Pregnant with Mom

Many would like a chance at fame.  When I was growing up the goal was to do good in school.  When one was an adult they would get a job & work to provide for themselves.  Well it's 2012 and I could be mistaken:  It seems the new goal in life is to be famous or the next best thing appear on a reality television show.  To each their own, right?

VH1 always aiming to please came up with an interesting idea for a new reality series, Pregnant with Mom.  You guessed it.  They are casting mothers and daughters who are pregnant at the same time.  I'm cringing at the thought of my mother having sex or getting pregnant!  Hell I'm cringing at the thought of me having sex and getting pregnant.  My cringe factor doesn't matter.  What's important is VH1 is giving mothers & daughters an opportunity to spend some quality time together knocked up.

Are you a mother pregnant at the same time as your daughter?  Are you a daughter pregnant at the same time as your mother?  Either circumstance works out for you!  You could have the opportunity to be part of reality television.  If you meet the pregnant criteria and are interested email MothersAndDaughtersExpecting@gmail.com or PregnantWithMom@gmail.com.   You can also contact Alicia with any questions: 646.278.7652!  Please if you are not pregnant don't call your mother or daughter and make a pregnancy pact.  It would suck if you weren't cast in the upcoming series.

Mob Wives: Brooklyn Bitch

Take my word for it Carla ain't the only one whose a looker of her Brooklyn crew!
I am sure all the Carla Facciolo fans know their favorite mob wife isn't from Staten Island.  She's a true Brooklyn b!tch.  Hey don't be sending the messenger hate mail and/or comments.  It's her term not mine.  I've spoken to the gym rat a few times.  But for the most part I leave her alone.  She always seems on the go & so uninterested in the reality show grind & life.  I get a feeling her focus and priority is the life she's living, a spot on one of the hottest reality shows is just the icing on the cake.  I imagine Joe Ferragamo getting out of the joint earlier this year is the cherry on top.  I can't prove it but I think those two are bumping the skins again.  Recently, Mrs. Ferragamo tweeted about having a blast with her Brooklyn girls.  Apparently the ladies had fun @ their Christmas/New Year dinner.  It's always great to see a mob wife living her life and loving it.

Love her or hate her, Carla seems to let it all fall off her pretty little shoulders.  The woman rarely gets excited when we see her in action on the small screen.  Sure she tousled with Renee over her now ex-boyfriend a.k.a. Handy Man.  And in the latest Mob Wives Promo she tells Karen Gravano, "Maybe yah don't wanta go tah war with me!"  To which I thought, 'Oh Carla don't do it!  Gym or no gym Karen will clear the table with you.'  Besides me believing there is no way Carla can take Karen, it's nice to know Carla has balls.  They may be swarovski crystal balls.  They're balls none the less.  Typing of balls, remember the VH1 Diva thingy ma-jig?  Well Mrs. No Drama got up close enough to take a picture with one fine man with his very own set of balls, Terrance Howard.  Yes, I know he's an alleged wife terrorist and all.  He still looks good.
Carla all smiles with Terrance Howard, can you say, "LUCKY!"
Now the powers that be aren't going to like this but I need to keep it real for a moment.  Since the Mob Wives hit the air, credible sources time & time again have given specific stories of certain Mob Wives having a little David Duke running through their blood.  And just for clarity I am not insinuating Carla Facciolo specifically.

I just find it extremely fraudulent and inauthentic for anyone posing with countless individuals who happen to be of the ethnicity they'd prefer not to interact with.  I know the cameras are rolling & flashing.  But hey if the N-word is part of your vocabulary, don't pose with your black fans & don't interview with black television host & radio personalities.  Be the fuck who you are 24 hours, 7 days a week.  I'm positive Mob Wives' fans who are a little too brown for a mob wife or two wouldn't want to hug or pose if they truly knew how the guilty parties roll & think.

One more time, we haven't written about Carla Facciolo in awhile.  So I wanted to give her some page time.  The picture with Terrance Howard just got me to thinking about all the tales of prejudice concerning some of the Mob Wives.  The same particular Mob Wives who have tweeted, facebooked and posed away with people they judge due to skin color.  I posted the picture Carla with Terrance Howard because he's fine!  Again, I am not writing that Carla Facciolo is prejudice.  I just wanted Carla fans to see some great pictures of her having a good time.

UPDATE: Apparently this post ruffled Carla's feathers.

I wrote I thought Carla was bumping skins with her husband.  I clearly stated I did not know.  I wrote she had a blast with her Brooklyn friends.  I wrote that she's pretty.  I wrote that I don't think she can take Karen in a fight.  I wrote 1 or 2 Mob Wives have some David Duke tendencies.
What is she irritated about the bumping skins with her husband?  Is she mad that I think Karen would whoop her @ss in a fight?

How did I judge Carla?  I do agree with her you shouldn't judge someone when you don't know nothing about them.  So I guess it's safe for me to write, Carla would never be one to say something like, "Why do we have to be around all these black people?"  It's good to know Carla Facciolo and I are on the same page when it comes to judging.

I did take the post down temporarily to edit a picture.  I still don't know what I've done.  I won't be losing any sleep either.  It is what it is or it isn't anything at all.  She's wrong about one thing I know plenty about her.  VH1's Mob Wives premieres Sunday, January 1, 2012 @ 8 PM.  I'll be glued to my couch with pen & paper.  I've been waiting for my favorite ladies (Drita not included) to return to the small screen with a big bang.  I know they won't let me down.  Crazy broads with hot tempers & sauce are nonstop entertainment.  Don't be the only one not watching one of the hottest shows of hot mess.

Mob Wives: Drita’s Australian Chat!

The Mob wives begin airing in Australia on August 31st at 8:30 PM and they are very excited about being able to watch the series. So much so that Nat and Shaun contacted Drita to interview her for their radio show (link below).

They seem very fascinated that Drita is very beautiful outside and yet is so tough. She laughs and tells them she was always a tomboy. She also describes how she grew up in a strict, traditional home before becoming involved with gangsters, who she says she found intriguing. She grew up training and working out and she never had fear. And how she fights, she boxes. Pulling hair may be good for breaking up a fight but it really doesn’t cause any injuries. And Drita says she doesn’t want to fight any more because she is a mother and needs to set a good example. She explains how upset her father was with her decision to marry Lee. She gave up a lot of good opportunities. She says her father was right. She explains how upset she was the second time Lee was sent to prison and how angry she was over it.

They ask her if she knew he was a bank burglar. She says are you kidding me? When you go out on a date, do you tell the person the worst things you’ve ever done? And she adds, a criminal does not talk about his crimes. She says they were married a short time, she went to court with him, heard a list of his crimes, got dizzy and threw up. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

She says the show gives you an idea of the pain the children go through when their fathers are in jail and how it affects the whole family. It’s not glamorous and kids should think about that before choosing this lifestyle. And she has no sympathy for Lee. He went to jail the first time and she supported him and visited him, but the second time no. He didn’t learn from his mistakes, he doesn’t deserve he support. She is at a crossroad right now. She had to give up a great job that she built up when he went back the second time.

Great Interview!  They love her in Australia!

Mob Wives: Did Mob Wives Deliver?

I never saw this ad for the show before, even though it's been up since April.  The Mob Wives discuss the 5 reasons why you should watch the show and what went into their decisions to be on the show.  I enjoyed seeing them all again, and the video gave me a 3D feeling.

According to Renee, Karen, Drita and Carla, the 5 reasons why we should watch Mob Wives are:

1. Four extraordinary women going through life changes.
2. Absolute realness
3. Friendships and bonds and craziness
4. To get a really good laugh
5. Because they said so!

Let me know what you think of the clip?  I loved it!  Watched it three or four times already!

Mob Wives: The Canadians Are Coming!

As you can plainly see, a Canadian Goose dropped by and delivered a“package” for me. No it wasn’t full of pepperoni, mozzarella and vanilla coke, like Lee’s packages! And, no, it wasn’t those nasty goose “droppings” that are plaguing the Northeast. It was a little news for me to share with you all. Mob Wives is going to be a new series in Canada! I am almost envious of them. Starting September 9th, Canadians are going to get to see all of season one for the first time. Then, a short time later, they will get to see season two. Plus, they have this great blog, loaded with information about the cast, the show and their families, to read in between.

I wonder what the Canadians will make of this new series? I started to think about it and wondered if the Italians there would object to how Italians were being portrayed? There are about 1.5 million Italians (and Italian descent) residents in Canada out of a population of 34 million. That’s about 4.6% of the population, making them the fifth largest ethnic group. There is even a “Little Italy” located in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver.

Oh, and did I mention, the Mafia is happy and well and living in Canada? Yes, there is a long history of mafia activity in Canada and way too much to blog about here. I have enough to keep track of with the five New York crime families. But, because I know you are curious, I will give you a little sampling anyway because that’s the kind of blogger I am.

Summer Reading Anyone?

Vito Rizzuto was born in Sicily in 1946 and is known as Montreal’s Teflon Don. Vito and his family moved to Montreal from Sicily, when Vito was eight. His father Nicolo began working as an associate in the Cotroni crime family. By the 1980’s the Rizzuto’s Sicilian crew was the number one Mafia crew after winning a turf war with Calabrian crew and murdering Paolo Violi, a Bonanno underboss who had been made boss of Montreal’s crime family. Rizzuto was allegedly in charge of a huge narcotics operation that imported and distributed enormous quantities of heroine, cocaine and hashish in Canada. Their alleged crimes also included laundering money, illegal gambling, loan sharking, and contract killings. Our own FBI considers Rizzuto only a soldier in the Bonanno crime family of NY, but in Canadian he is considered the most powerful boss in the country. After a series of legal entanglements with the law, for various crimes, Rizzuto is serving time in a Federal prison in Colorado and is due to be released October 2012. At that time he may be extradited to Italy to face charges there. Since his arrest several members of his family have been killed, including his son, Nick Jr. in 2009.

That is just the tip of the iceberg. Organized crime is widespread in Canada and makes for an interesting read. However, my focus is on Mob Wives, so if you are interested in the Canadian Mob you will have to check it out yourself! Happy readings, eh?

Let’s welcome our Canadian neighbors to Mob Wives!

Mob Wives: Season 2 Is Shooting As We Tweet!

Our favorite wives looking great!

I am pretty sure season 2 of Mob Wives is shooting by now. I know this because the mob wives’ tweets have declined to a trickle, and that must mean they are busy, busy, busy. I can’t help but wonder what is going on. I want to be a fly on the wall. We have three or more months before it airs and I’m not sure I can be that patient. And yet, what choice do I have? I already put in my requests for what I’d like to see happen next season. I don’t know if anyone was paying attention, after all I am just a blogger. Still, it’ll be interesting to compare my “wish list” with what actually happens on the show.

Of course, no one is going to reveal a thing. The storyline is as top secret as a mob “hit” and we know these women can keep a secret. They barely acknowledge that the mob exists. Don’t you love it when Renee says, “Mob? What mob?” What have they really told us anyway. Drita told us Lee was a burglar, he robs banks without weapons. Carla says Joe was in prison for stock fraud, which she doesn’t consider a bad crime. Karen didn’t have to tell us anything, her father already spilled the beans in his tell all book, Underboss. And Renee, well she mentioned her father was incarcerated, which is no secret. Of course there was the episode of the “Mob Bust” and Junior was arrested for gambling. It was hard to avoid some discussion on that, it happened while they were filming and it did boost ratings. All of this information is a matter of public record, so there were no cats let out of the proverbial bag this season.

But what about next season? A lot of insults were hurled and feelings were hurt. Was the damage done bad enough to tempt one or more of the women to reveal some indiscretions from their past during season two? Will Karen and Drita bury the hatchet, or will there be a chapter in the book about Lee that will rile Drita up? Karen pretty much said he will be mentioned, but he is an insignificant part of her life. Will Carla and Renee resolve their issue about the groping boyfriend? At the Reunion Show he still was a very “touchy” subject. Renee had to leave the set and compose herself because she became so emotional. And, even in Mob Mistress’ interview with Carla, Carla is not backing down on her stance that Renee made it all up. If I were Renee, I would not be able to let it go. And, if he does come up again, I am sure there is going to be a showdown. Although this time I don’t think it won’t be so much about the boyfriend. I think it will be more about the “friendship” and lack of loyalty and respect that Carla is showing Renee by not believing her and saying she is lying.

And what about the adding of one or two new wives? Will big sister Lana Graziano be added to the cast and make Mob Mistress’ wish list come true? Would her presence add more drama or tip the delicate balance of the relationships of the four mob wives originally cast? I can’t say for sure, but I am going to go out on a limb and say she would be on Team Renee and Karen. All I can do is sit here and wonder aloud and in print and beg.

Jennifer Graziano, if you are out there, can you please leak us a little information about season two? Pretty please…with sugar on top? Even a crumb will hold us for a few weeks. What do you say?

Dina's Party: The Blond Manzo is Back!

Dina’s Party, a new weekly program on HGTV will air a special preview episode on Monday, August 15 at 10/9c. Dina Manzo and the staff at Designer Affair will take us behind the scenes as they create lavish events for clients.

In the special preview Dina plans a spaghetti western-themed bon voyage party for a Broadway actor, wants to surprise his partner, Ron. “Dina saddles up and wrangles an amazing party, transforming the house into the Wild West by outfitting it with unique western props and facades. “ The party rooms include a saloon in the dining room, cowboy food troughs on the patio, and an Italian chuck wagon in the great room. The backyard has its own flair, complete with a mechanical bull.

Dina’s extraordinary talents were first showcased on VH1 in 2007 when her own million dollar wedding was featured on My Big Fat Fabulous wedding. In 2009 Dina joined her older sister Caroline Manzo, and sister in-law Jacqueline Laurita as one of the original cast members on Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey. She walked away from the toxic drama on Real Housewives of NJ after only one season but Dina left a lasting impression on millions of viewers.

Dina always seemed a little out of place on RHoNJ. Her chic elegant style just didn’t fit with the leopard wearing, fame whorish cast. What do you think of Dina's stlye and getting getting her own show?

Also, check out the new poll! It's a quick scroll up and to your right. WE LOVE TO HEAR FROM OUR READERS, cause we have the BEST!

Dina will be a guest judge on Design Star Monday August 15th at 9/8c on HGTV.

Followed by the special preview of Dina’s Party at 10/9c on HGTV.

Mob Wives: Mob Wives vs. I Married A Mobster

Women associated with the mob on television was strictly taboo not too long ago. Now we have two series running back to back on the air: VH1’s Mob Wives and Investigation Discovery’s I Married A Mobster. What is the difference between these two shows?

After watching two episodes of I Married A Mobster, and all ten episodes of Mob Wives, I am prepared to give my answer to that question. The only thing the shows have in common are that the women have some connection or ties to the mob, otherwise, the format and genre is totally different.

One is a reality based show, the other more of a documentary. In Mob Wives the cameras follow the women’s daily lives and record any drama that is going on at the time. They really never speak of anything related to the mob, name names or divulge crimes. They are concerned with living their lives today, under the stigma of being associated/related to mobsters and coping as single mothers while their husbands and fathers are doing time. It’s really very similar to the Real Housewives reality shows, but much more action packed. The arguments on the Real Housewives never rises to the level that it does in Mob Wives. They have petty arguments that they tend to beat like a dead horse and never get over. I don’t have the patience to watch any of the Real Housewives regularly, to be honest. I may catch a show here and there, but get turned off at their childish, spiteful behavior. In Mob Wives the arguments are much more intense and can get very physical. No one walks off in an insulted “huff.” You never know what is going to be said or what will happen next, but you do know they are not going to divulge any insider mob information.

I Married A Mobsteris a whole different show. They invite mob wives and mistresses to speak in great detail about their mobsters and lifestyles. The women speak freely and candidly about all the mob crimes they are aware of: things they have witnessed and heard, crimes they themselves have had a hand in, details they have been told by mob members. Nothing is off limits. It’s shocking really, considering the code of silence that has been a long tradition of the mafia. In addition, the show provides four reenactments of specific events being discussed by each of the women in each episode. Pictures and documents are provided to further give credibility to the stories we are watching. It doesn’t hurt that Lorraine Bracco narrates parts of the story either. Her well known, unique voice brings back images of her character, Dr. Jennifer Melfi, from The Sopranos…always the voice of reason. Unlike the Mob Wives, we do not get much of a glimpse into what the women are doing today, it’s their past that is focused on. And, we don’t get too invested in any one woman because we only get to see each one for one 30 minute episode. We can appreciate their stories for what they are and then move on to the next woman.

Trying to compare the two shows is like comparing apples to oranges really. They are both different, but they are enjoyable and entertaining each in their own way. And one thing is for sure, we are getting a great education in the mafia by those who know!

Famous Food: Humble Pie or Witch's Brew?

From Bravo's The Real Housewives of New Jersey to VH1's Famous Food, Danielle Staub

What is Danielle Staub cooking up to on VH1's new series Famous Food? Deplorable, depraved, diabolical, and sometimes dirty my favorite ex real housewife of New Jersey to hate; Danielle Staub is back. She’s left her castle in the ultra-exclusive suburbs of North Jersey for Los Angeles, California. In a town known for its back room deals with back stabbing players. Danielle will fit right in. Danielle has had her share of controversies. But hey you know what they say in the entertainment business negative or positive, "All publicity is GOOD publicity."  Today is no different. Courtesy of Radar Online a NJ Judge ruled against her in a motion filed by her ex-boyfriend Stephen Salewski, read here.

I have to admit to missing the hot mess of a delusional cast mate as I watch the 3rd season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Yea Yea Yea, I have Ms. Prostitution Whore and her little Mini Me Melissa to stir up trouble. But nothing compared to Danielle vs. Theresa (and Caroline Manzo). In my humble opinion, nobody in the housewives franchise is as good as Ms. Staub when it comes to getting revenge on those who cross her.

Yesterday, I watched Famous Food.  I hoped Danielle would display the same ruthless ambition to get to the top. I was not disappointed. Danielle immediately took poor little naive Heidi Montag of The Hills under her spell or was it the other way around? Hmmmm...

Heidi Montag with her new found frenemy Danielle Staub
You remember Heidi, right?  The half Barbie, half Bride of Frankenstein creation of  the now deceased Dr. Frank Ryan.  As I watched  these two women one thing occurred to me. Only one will come out on top. There can only be one winner of VH1's Famous Food. Will it be the older more mature Danielle or the younger blond who knows how to manipulate the Hollywood scene?  It could all end with a good old fashion show down between young Botox maven & old(er) Botox maven.  Heck it may very well be Big Pussy of The Sopranos who wins Famous Food for all I know!

I’m not really sure about the new series Famous Food yet. It was kind of all over the place. I have to admit to looking forward to another weekly dose of Danielle Staub, Satan's sweetheart.  Our Mob Wives season 1 has ended.  Maybe catching Famous Food on VH1, Sunday nignts @ 10PM Eastern/ 9PM Central will fill your void.  There is even a made man from The Sopranos in the restaurant!  How can you beat that?  Okay, okay I know the Mob Wives! But we have to wait until the fall for season 2.

Before I forget make sure you check out our I Married A Mobster poll.  It's to your right and a quick scroll up.  It takes only seconds to read & vote.  Some of us <3 the show.  I Married A Mobster airs Wednesday nights on Discovery ID @ 10:30PM Eastern/Pacific.  It's not like we're cheating or anything.

Mob Wives: Chiara's Suggestions For Season 2

No doubt Renee is right about there being more drama for season 2. I have watched Mob Wives all season. I have read dozens of articles, interviews and watched videos of the all the mob wives. I have learned a lot from all of them about these women and the show. However, I didn’t expect to learn so much from our blog. The reading habits of our readers has helped me to see some of the things that are of most interest to the fans who visit our site. I also have some things I would like to see on and off the show that I would like to suggest. Maybe you do too? Here are some of the ideas I have.

1. Give AJ a larger role on the show. AJ is very popular with the younger fans of the show because of his handsome looks. AJ is also popular with older fansof the show, because he is a mature, respectful young man with good values. In short, people enjoy seeing AJ and have a very positive response to him. I would like to see a tender moment between AJ and Renee discussing their feelings about her father being released from prison. I would like to see other scenes of AJ as well, maybe at his computer, discussing different colleges with his mother, working on a school project, listening to music, or playing a video game with his cousin, Justin.

2. Cut back on the use of profanities. I think this has already been happening as the show progressed. But it’s my feeling that, when those types of words are thrown around all the time and for no reason, they lose their impact and “shock value.” Maybe they should be reserved for scenes showing anger, even annoyance, or frustration. I don’t think any of the women use profanity as much as it is depicted on the show, so why add gratuitous profanity in their dialogue on the show?

3. A Picture of Lee D’Avanzo. Everyone and their grandmother wants to see Lee. If the producers can manage to get a picture of Lee D’Avanzo into the show it would bring about some high ratings for that episode. Our readers, and google searches indicate that viewers are very curious and interested in seeing a picture of the man that Karen and Drita have been fighting over all season long. The Lee storyline has been a big focus of the show and the finale has only served to increase the fans interest in what he looks like. I would suggest maybe a heart to heart talk between Drita and Aleeya where one of them is holding his picture and then a close up shot of it. At some point Drita does need to talk to Aleeya, if she hasn’t already, because she will most certainly learn about Lee’s cheating from watching the show or hearing about it from someone else. If that scenario doesn’t work, Drita can be talking to Carla about Lee and the status of her marriage, with his picture in hand, and she can slam it down, just like she does with the phone.

4. An interview with Jennifer Graziano. Viewers are curious about Jenn Graziano, it’s only natural. Maybe a very short candid interview with her, regarding the her concept for the show and how it evolved, could be worked into the beginning or end of an episode. We know Ms. Graziano is a private and reserved person, but there is a lot of interest in her role as executive producer and creator of the show. We’d also like more details on future projects she is planning or working on.

5. Question & Answer show with the Mob Wives and their fans. Everyone in the studio audience gets a T-Shirt, it reads their “team name” eg. Team Renee, Team Karen, Team Drita, Team Carla. The random audience members can ask prescreened questions to the four Mob Wives. I think it would be a great way to promote the show, as well as give fans an opportunity to see other sides to all the wives that may not come out on the show. I would schedule it a week or two before season 2 actually starts, to create a buzz, and have it hosted by Wendy Williams?

6. How about a talk show program with the Mob Wives and their mothers (not sure this is possible). But, it would certainly bring about a lot of publicity for the show as I think fans would love to see the mob wives with their mothers, seeing how they are alike, how they are different, how they get along and what they have to say about each other.

7. An appearance by Joe Ferragamo. We have heard a lot about Joe and viewers jumped at the chance to see his photos online. I think it would be of great interest to see Joe interacting with his children, after a brief interaction with Carla, just to see the family dynamic between Joe and Carla and the kids. I think many people are curious to also see what Joe looks like today, after 5 years in prison.

8. Jail Mail Inc. There has been tremendous interest in Renee’s new company, Jail Mail Inc. Much more than I ever expected. Our blog on Jail Mail was number one for the longest time. I would hope there will be a scene showing the operation of this new company, at its office, to see how it’s going to work.

9. An appearance by David Seabrook. David is another person the audience has been interested. It would be easy to tape Karen, Karina and David having an intimate family dinner together, maybe discussing their future plans as to where they will all be living or even discussing the progress on Karen’s book. I think the viewers would love to see David and how he interacts with Karen and Karina.

10. A trip to Morocco! Send the Mob Wives to Morocco! Of course this is just a joke. I couldn’t resist making this comment after watching the hilarious three episodes of the Real Housewives of New York on their trip to Morocco. Can you imagine our four ladies riding across the desert on camels? The heat has a way of bringing out the worst in people and there is no AC out in the desert. The NY wives had plenty of drama while they were they to relax and enjoy themselves. From the looks of it they could not get along if their lives depended on it. If I had to label their drama vs. the Mob Wives drama I would call the NY Housewives as “squabbles” and the Mob Wives as “brawls.” No comparison.

But, I digress.   A nice trip for all four Mob Wives would be in order…maybe to the Jersey Shore or the Bahamas?   How do we work that into an episode?   I don’t know, I can’t think of everything!

Mob Wives: A Dinner Party Parody!

Funny or Die has listened to OUR demands for more Mob Wives parodies and created a Dinner Party Parody starring Sophia Bush as Carla and Drea de Matteo ("A" from the Sopranos!) as Drita!  I love it!   Frankly, I didn't find it as funny as Amy Philips parody of Drita that we posted a while back, watch here

I had to watch that one over a dozen times and it made me laugh each time.  But this parody includes all the women at one of their infamous dinner parties.  I have to watch it a few more times because there is so much action that I know I missed out on a lot of laughs.  I just couldn't wait to post it for all of you to join me in a hysterical fit of laughter.

I am anxious to know what you all think and what was your favorite part or line from the video.  I will be back to tell you mine after I have reviewed it and made up my mind.

Mob Wives: Mob Wives: Reunion Show Recap

As you would expect, the four Mob Wives rehashed all their issues from season one. The biggest issues being Renee and Carla’s feud over her boyfriend (see Mob Mistress’ Blog for his picture!) and Karen and Drita’s issue over friendship versus Lee which led to the finale “rumble on the rooftop.”

This was the first time the four mob wives were meeting since the finale and Karen says she still has issues to address with Drita.

Wendy wants to know what they think about Italian Americans feeling disgraced by the show. Karen said, it’s not about Italian Americans, it’s about me. Drita said that she just didn’t get it, she is just living her life. Renee said nothing about the show is scripted regardless of what Victoria Gotti, Jr. thinks and says.

The issues comes up that Renee did not welcome Karen back to Staten Island when she came back because her father Sammy was a rat. Renee says she thought Karen was “brazen” to return, but now she has tremendous respect for her because it took a lot of courage for her to come back.

Renee and Jennifer Graziano’s father, Anthony Graziano, does not speak to either of his daughters because of the show. Sammy Gravano calls and talks to Karen and she says he doesn’t like the fact that people judge her for the things he did.

What about Lee? Lee is doing his second stint in prison during his 11-12 year marriage to Drita. He has been incarcerated 8 years total so far. They discuss his cheating on Drita and Drita sheds some tears, she is obviously still hurt. Seeing her tears makes Wendy a little teary eyed too. Drita says that she and Lee are no longer speaking. She went to a lawyer, but she is looking at all her options before doing anything. She did confront the woman he cheated with on the phone. Renee adds, Lee is an asshole and she has complete compassion for Drita.

Drita just wants to date normal guys. Everyone laughs. Karen says normal guys are too scared to come near them.

This brings up the topic of infidelity and the mob mistresses, more popularly known as the “goumadas.” Renee says they are whores, they date married men because they want to be connected to someone in the mob. Carla adds that she found out about Joe cheating on her while he was in prison. That’s when she decided she wasn’t waiting for him any more. Of course the question of Carla’s boyfriend comes up and she says she isn’t with him any more. Carla says, “We won’t be seeing him.” (However, if our readers are interested in seeing Carla’s boyfriend I refer to yesterday’s blog below: Carla’s HANDy Man or click here Carla's boyfriend ).

This leads to a big discussion and clips from the show about Renee and Carla’s fight over the boyfriend. Carla says Renee could be perceived as being jealous because she keeps bringing up the boyfriend. Renee says she has nothing to be jealous about. She doesn’t like him. (After what I have seen and read, I have to agree with Renee, sorry Carla).

Carla still insists that Renee was never touched by the boyfriend, he told her so. Renee doesn’t like being called a liar, she is getting more and more upset. Even Karen speaks up and says that he also touched her inappropriately. Then Drita says he touched her too, but it was right in front of Carla and she saw it. Carla says she never saw him touch Renee or Karen and she is still friends with the boyfriend and will defend him. Karen recalls Carla saying that she can’t control her boyfriend when he is drinking and he is very “hands on” with people. Drita says, maybe he doesn’t remember what he does when he drinks?

Renee is getting more upset and cannot understand why Carla continues to defend him tooth and nail over this. It happened. Carla says she laughs things like this off. It is obvious that Carla is not going to believe Renee, so out of total frustration, Renee swears on her son’s eyes that the boyfriend touched her. Carla says, “He never touched your ass!” Renee counters with, “You’re right, it was worse!” Then Renee adds, so you believe him, he is a liar. You are pushing it calling me a liar [Carla] after I swear on my son. Carla says, “That’s your opinion!” Renee responds, “It’s not an opinion you moron”
It’s a fact, it happened! Dumb and stupid!

Then Renee yells to Carla, “You ain’t nothing, but a ‘filler’ b*tch!” (In this battle of words, in my opinion, Renee wins hands down and I believe the boyfriend touched her. A mother does not swear on her child over a lie, period end of story!)

Renee walks off the stage visibly upset over the exchange and we take a commercial break.

When we resume, Wendy asks Renee what part of the body the boyfriend touched, but Renee declines to answer.

On to the ongoing drama between Drita and Karen. Drita says she never thought to call Karen to tell her she was dating Lee. Drita did apologize to Karen for hurting her feelings during season one, but nothing was really resolved. Karen went to speak to Drita to tell her, face to face, that she was hurt about Drita not calling when she started dating Lee and she had to hear it from someone else. She still considered Drita a close friend at the time. Drita, on the other hand, felt that Karen moved on with her life with someone else, she was pregnant and moved to Arizona, and they didn’t keep in touch. She felt the friendship was over.

The “book” drama. When Karen handed Drita the first chapter of her book, Drita says she didn’t know what to think or what was going to be in it. Karen says the first chapter was just about her childhood, growing up as a kid with her father. They exchange a few words about who was attacking who all season.

Then we get to the rooftop showdown. It was nasty and we get to see new footage of what happened after the fight. Drita and Karen get separated. Drita and Carla go over to the other side of the bar. Renee takes Karen outside and puts her in a car.

Drita explains why she feels things got out of hand. She says Karen got up into her face. She had disrespected her and her family all season. Drita blacked out and went into fight mode. She says she doesn’t remember much, but Karen says she remembers everything.

Drita feels bad about the way she reacted and says, “It should have never happened.”

Karen says Carla was laughing during the fight. Carla says that was just a nervous reaction, she didn’t want them to fight.

Drita says that Karen hooked up with her boyfriend while she was with Lee, but Karen was not her friend at the time. Karen says this is not the first time Drita has “hooked up” with a friend’s ex, she did it to her best friend. Drita gets angry and tells her to leave it alone, she knows so much and just leave it alone. I took it as a threat that if Karen kept talking about Drita’s personal life, Drita was prepared to drop some dirt on Karen’s.

Renee says Junior is gone from her life and she is putting one foot in front of the other. She has someone nice she is seeing right now. They have been friends a long time and there is potential there for a new relationship.

They discuss Renee’s prior surgeries, she has a cute nose, she had a breast reduction at 18, liposuction after she had AJ. She won’t go to the gym because she can look like Carla and Drita 48 hours after the swelling goes down. She is going back to doing wardrobe styling again.

Karen is still deciding about whether to move here from Arizona. Her daughter, Karina, is spending the summer with her and they will see how it goes.

Regrets of the season?
Karen wishes things had gone differently with Drita.
Renee wishes she had lost weight before the season started.
Carla regrets the argument with Renee over the boyfriend
Drita regrets the fight with Karen on the roof and, if she could go back in time, she would have called Karen about Lee.
Carla wants Renee to say she regretted their fight. But, Renee says she doesn’t regret the fight with Carla, but didn’t want it to happen!

I think this was a perfect way to end a great season. The women all had a chance to revisit their issues. However, it still seems to me that these problems will carry over to next season. For one thing, Karen still has most of the book to write and who knows what she will want to say about Lee when she gets to him? Nothing she has to say will sit well with Drita, who keeps thinking of her daughters and doesn’t want them hurt. As for Carla and Renee, how can they repair their friendship? Carla still doesn’t not believe Renee. Renee isn’t going to get over being called a liar after she swore on her son to show Carla how serious she was that the boyfriend touched her. I think both these issues will rear their ugly heads next season, one way or another. Season two is scheduled to start airing in November, as far as we know. We will keep you updated on the lives of the Mob Wives between now and then, so come back for new blogs daily.

P.S. We will be covering Investigation Discovery’s, I Married A Mobster, starting this week. The show premieres Wednesday night, July 13, at 10:30 PM. There are a few blogs already up and more to come shortly.

Mob Wives: Adding Victoria Gotti, Jr. To Cast

Could Victoria Gotti Ever be in Mob Wives?

Very early on in our blog, one of our readers questioned why Victoria Gotti, Jr. was not included in the cast. And recently, there has even been some discussion that a new mob wife might possibly be added to the cast. So, it seemed like a good question to me and I thought I would address it. Victoria Jr. was, up until the Mob Wives show premiered, the most well known mafia princess of our time. She is the daughter of John Gotti himself, the notorious boss of the Gambino crime family, dubbed the “Teflon Don” for escaping convictions and the “Dapper Don” for the expensive clothes he wore. Victoria Jr. even had her own reality show for a period of time, “Growing Up Gotti.” So why wasn’t she selected for the show?

Well, after watching the show and reading a lot of background information on all the families, it would appear to be impossible for Victoria Gotti Jr. to have even remotely been considered for the show. If you have been reading our blog and other articles, you may have come to this conclusion yourself.

If you recall, in the early episodes, Renee was not happy with Karen’s return to Staten Island because her father was a “rat” and Renee’s father taught her that breaking the code of Omerta and snitching, was the biggest violation of the rules of the mob. Renee was told to cut off all contact with Karen because Sammy “The Bull” became an informant for the FBI against John Gotti. This is true even though Gravano was a member of the Gambino crime family and Anthony Graziano was allegedly a member of the Bonanno crime family according to federal authorities. Being a “rat” transcends family affiliations.

Karen has revealed in interviews that John Gotti was often a guest in her home and, in fact, he was present at her Sweet 16 Party, making the event all the more memorable. So the Gravano family and the Gotti family were not only connected by the same mob family, they also seemed to associate on a personal level as well.

Sammy, who was the “Underboss” of John Gotti, was eventually was convinced by the FBI, to testify against Gotti, when they allowed him to listen to tapes of Gotti allegedly talking to authorities and implicating Sammy in various crimes. Sammy’s testimony at Gotti’s trial, lead to Gotti’s conviction and life sentence, and Gotti eventually died in prison.  Although Gravano is the one always referred to as a "rat," in his interview with Diane Sawyer, Gravano did make it clear that John Gotti was in fact "snitching" to authorities about him in order to protect himself.  This is what ultimately provoked Sammy to testify against him.

Given the history between Karen’s father, Sammy Gravano, and Victoria Jr.s’ father, John Gotti, it is highly improbable that the two women could ever work together on any project. Even if their families celebrated or socialized at one time, the day Sammy turned on Gotti had to be something the Gotti family could never forgive or forget.

BUT…

What if Victoria joined Mob Wives? What would that episode look like?

Maybe something like this….

Renee’s House (doorbell)

Renee: Hi, Victoria what brings you to Staten Island from Howard Beach?

Victoria: I’m looking for a nice place to live. My neighbors are sick of my kids growing up Gotti there.

Renee: Well I’m surprised you picked this area because you know Karen lives here now.

Victoria: Karen Gravano? Are you f--king kidding me?

Renee: No, why would I kid you about that?

Victoria: Her f--king father ratted on my father!

Carla’s House: Carla on phone with Drita

Carla: Hi Drita, guess what? Renee texted me a minute ago, Victoria Gotti is at her house.

Drita: Yeah? What’s up with that?

Carla: I don’t know, but I’m thinkin’ I should call Karen and tell her to meet me there, and then I won’t show up.

Drita: But Karen ain’t gonna be happy to see Vic there.

Carla: Exactly, there will be a f--king war. That’s payback for Renee invitin’ Karen to her house for dinner and not tellin’ you about it. And pay back for Karen for disrespectin’ you and Lee with her book.  I'll bet she puts Lee D'Avanzo's picture in it!

Drita: Yeah, they did do that. She better NOT put Lee's f--king picture in her book!  Tell me what Karen says because I NEED TO KNOW, and I ain’t talkin’ to that b*tch after all her talk about a f--king timeline, that ain’t my timeline!

Carla: Ok talk to you soon.

Karen’s Apartment (phone rings)

Karen: Hi, Carla, what’s up?

Carla: Renee invited us over for coffee, I told her I was about to call you, so I would let you know. Can you make it?

Karen: What were you calling about?

Carla: Oh, ummm, Drita was telling me she is sorry she overreacted at the restaurant, she was upset about other things, and I wanted to see how you were feelin’ about it. (Damn I a good liar!)

Karen: I don’t know Carla, is Drita going to Renee’s too?

Carla: No, I just got off the phone with her, she has a thing with Aleeya.

Karen: Ok I’ll meet you there in 30 minutes.

Carla: See you there. (Dials Drita’s number)

Drita’s House (phone rings)

Carla: Just got off the phone with Karen, it’s on and poppin’ in 30 minutes.

Drita: I wish I had a f--kin’ front row seat.

Renee’s House (doorbell rings)

Renee: I have no idea who that could be, one minute Victoria.

Renee opens door…Karen walks in.

Renee (surprised): Hi Karen, I kindda have company right now.

Karen: Yeah I know, Carla right?

Renee: No, not Carla, Victoria Gotti. (Victoria enters room, sees Karen)

Victoria: You B*TCH! Your father snitched on my father!

Karen: You don’t know what the hell you are talkin’ about! YOUR father snitched on my father b*tch!

Victoria: He did not, my father would never RAT on anyone. You’re a crazy b*tch!

Karen: Oh really? Well he ratted on my dad to the Feds, and he threw him under the f--kin’ bus to save his ass.

(Renee confessional: “I’m so glad I got a front seat for this, I hope they don’t break anything.”)

Victoria: My father was the one thrown under the bus by YOUR father the RAT! Just look up your father’s name on Google and all you see is “RAT” “SNITCH” “INFORMANT” B*tch! The whole world knows what your father did!

Karen: You don’t know what the f--k you are talking about. Your timeline is off b*tch. Your father talked to the Feds FIRST and they had him on tape. Then the Feds played the tapes of your father snitching on my father for my dad. That’s when my dad decided he had to save himself from your backstabbing, double crossing, snitching, rat of a father. GET YOUR TIMELINE STRAIGHT!

Victoria lunges for Karen and grabs her hair. Karen screams and grabs Victoria’s hair. Renee removes her precious vase from the coffee table so it doesn’t get broken, then runs for cover in her spandex. Renee tweets “Huge fight in my Living Room, minime-mobettes, Karen and Victoria Gotti, hair everywhere!”

Carla reads the tweet says “No, she di-ent!” and calls Drita.

Drita’s House (phone rings)

Carla: Just saw Renee’s tweet, it’s goin’ down at Renee’s!

Drita: (laughs) Payback for Karen and I didn’t even have to take my shoes off!

Renee tweets again: “AJ walked in, saw the fight, filled a bucket with ice cold water and threw it at Karen and Victoria; FIGHT OVER!”

Stay tuned next week for more drama!

That’s how I would script it, if I had my way, in a perfect Mob Wives world! Let me know what you think? Did I get it right? I need to know!

Mob Wives: A Sweet Interview with Renee Graziano

Renee Graziano looking fabulous, now Bootylicious can be added.
Last Monday morning Renee Graziano of Mob Wives graciously gives me an interview for The Mob Wives Blogspot.  Unbelievably in the mist of preparing to go under the knife.  Yes, Renee is getting more plastic surgery. I know she didn’t sleep Sunday night from her tweet.  I barely slept myself.  I wanted to touch on the things that are near and dear to her heart.  Things we have heard about already & things we haven't.  I hope I will do justice to Renee, to the Mob Wives and to our blog.  Ok here goes, the phone is ringing, it’s Renee!

Hi Renee, I have to say that it was a thrill meeting you and your sister Jennifer at Sugar recently.  I want to thank you for doing this interview for The Mob Wives Blogspot. The show does not show the fun side of you, or the warm and loving side of you, the way your interviews do. I didn’t know what to make of all of you at first from the show.  Yet as I watched the Mob Wives series, the interviews, read and wrote articles about all of the cast; you have become my favorite Mob Wife hands down. First let’s talk about the show.

1a. Did you have any idea the show would be such an overnight success?
Yes, I truly believed it would be a success because there are no mob related shows that are told from a female perspective.  It’s very controversial.

1b. What was your favorite scene from season one?Anything with A.J.!  My two favorite scenes were at the Lake House, with all the girls, because that showed unity between the women. My other favorite scene is with AJ at the restaurant “Il Cortile.”

1c. Can you tell us anything at all about what season 2 might hold in store for you personally?Yes, I can tell you that you will continue to see me grow, you will see me dating, you will see my new body, and of course Jail Mail.

1d. I've noticed that you seem to do more promotion for the show than the other Mob Wives. Why is that?I am very personable in interviews, interviewers like me. I have a funny side, the gift of gab and I always, always tell the truth.

2. Jail Mail Inc. has gotten a lot of interest from viewers. Can you tell us if you will have a staff and office for your new company?  How involved will you personally be in its day to day operation, considering how busy your life is?Jail Mail Inc. is the most important project of my life. I have had the idea for about 10 years, but could never do anything with it because of things that were going on at the time. So I will be very involved and very hands on. Hopefully, we will find the right staff and I will have an office.

3. You recently said that you were working on a line of cookbooks. I think it’s a great idea! Can you tell us anything about the books, for example will each book contain specific kinds of recipes like appetizers, main meals, desserts?
The cookbook series is going to have a little bit of everything in it from the well kept secrets of the Graziano kitchen. Some really good food is going to come out of those books.

Renee with her buddy 50 Cent

4. You have worked as a wardrobe stylist and you recently did some work for Ghostface Killah’s new video on the show. If you could do wardrobe styling for any celebrity of your choice, who would you pick and why?
I would love to dress 50 Cent again. I am a huge fan of his and his music and also a friend. 50 has a great body and I love dressing him up. He makes the clothes look good.

If I could pick a movie star to work with I would pick George Clooney and Julianna Margulies. George Clooney would also make the clothes look good and Julianna because I love her.

5. It’s obvious you have great fashion sense and you always look like a classy lady. Do you have any particular stores where you like to shop or a particular designer you whose clothing line you prefer?
I love Tadashi’s designs, her dresses are fit for anyone. I’m an Annie Sez girl because they have a little bit of everything. I’m a smart shopper.

6. Your father will be getting released from prison this August. Can you share some of your feelings about that?
Yes, August 4th. I am so, so, so, so happy about that. AJ and my father are very close. He is my dad no matter what and I have so much respect for him. I would love to find a man who shows the same loyalty and smarts as my father, he is a great man. He is very good to his daughters and a great father.

We were pressed for time.  I wanted to tell Renee that I asked that question because I lost my father 11 years ago.  He passed away, after being ill with cancer. I miss him so much and would give anything if he were able to come back, even for a day. I am so happy for Renee and her family. She is getting her dad back and I understand how happy she feels about his release.

7. Mob Wives fans adore AJ because he is such wonderful young man. I’m sure he has made you proud of him many times in his life. Can you share with us a specific time or two when he made you especially proud?
Yes I can. The proudest moment was when my son AJ won the Triple C Award. They give this award to two children a year. He got it in fifth grade. The triple C stands for courage, commitment, and character and is one of the most honorable awards received. This was my proudest moment, because at 10 years old it was amazing to know that he possessed three qualities that many people may not ever have in their lifetimes. AJ, keeps me level headed. He is the one I get angriest with the most, he is the one I love the most, he is the one I trust more than anyone.

8. Sometimes as women get older they feel like they have turned into their mothers. Can you tell us about your mother and what lessons you’ve learned from her?
Renee laughs when she hears the question and then says, “I definitely turned into my mother, I am overbearing and neurotic.”

9. One of Mob Mistress' pet peeves in sleeveless furs. She wants to know what's the purpose of a fur without sleeves?
It’s just a fashion thing, and it’s for like in October when it’s not too cold.

Not a bad favorite dessert!

10. I am have been wondering, since you are such a great cook, what is AJ’s favorite homemade dish that only his mother can cook for him?
AJ hears the questions and chimes in “Chicken cutlets.” Renee agrees, “My chicken cutlets are delish.”

11.  Now I really can’t wait for the cookbooks to come out because my chicken cutlets need help!

12. One last thing, is there anything you would like our readers to know about you that hasn’t been asked?

I want readers to know that I am really, really nice and so far from what the show portrays.

Renee Graziano smiling as if a cat that swallowed the canary.
I can certainly vouched for Renee. Having met Renee and having talked to her in person and on the phone, she is one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. In a couple of minutes you feel like you’ve known her forever. I’m sure Mob Mistress would agree.

13. One more question? If you don’t mind, can you tell us who this Mystery Man is that you tweeted about from the wrap party? Renee laughs. I tell her it’s all the buzz now and inquiring minds want to know. Renee says: I can’t tell you his name, but he is a long time friend and we are just friends right now, but we are both interested. He is an ex pro football player, a successful businessman, and he has a big heart---as big as mine. He is 6’ 4” extremely good looking, and highly intelligent. He is a wonderful guy and AJ likes him. I can tell you this, for me he is more than halfway there. AJ gives him an 85% out of 100, but probably no man will get 100% from AJ when it comes to his mom.

I think it’s wonderful that Renee has been seeing a man who is also her friend and I hope the relationship blossoms for both of them down the road. If he has AJ’s 85% then he is doing great! As much as I hate it, it’s time to let Renee go. Can you believe she was so nice she took her phone into the car and continued answering questions while driving to the hospital?

Renee, I’ve covered everything on my inquiring mind. Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk to me. It’s been such a pleasure to get to meet you and speak with you. I really do hope we get to chat again soon. I wish you well on your surgery and I will pray for a good outcome and a speedy recovery.

She thanks me for that.  So ends my first reality celebrity interview, in fact my first interview of any kind. I am an amateur, but Renee Graziano made it easy.  She has an uncanny ability to make you feel as if you are old friends reconnecting.  I can’t thank her enough.

If you missed Renee's outstanding family recipe for Sunday sauce & meatballs read here.  As many of us know Renee's pride and joy is A.J. check out his interview here.  Well I've done my good deed for the readers.  We have just a week and a half to watch The Mob Wives Reunion airing July 10.  Reruns are just going to have to tie us over until then.
