Mob Wives: Did Andrea Giovino Flip for Feds?

On last night's Mob Wives, Episode 9, "Drittany," Karen said, "Who knew Drita would flip this b*tch faster than the Feds flipped her mother?" And, as one would expect, both Brittany and her mother, Andrea Giovino took issue with Karen's statement and had a hissy fit. Having been a fan and blogger of the show from day one, I have not known Karen to lie about anything, especially about a sensitive subject like this. I blogged an episode of "I Married A Mobster," based on the life of Andrea Giovino, back in July 2011. According to what I remember of "Working Mom," Andrea seemed to admit she cooperated with the Feds. In fact, according to other sources and from Andrea's own words in her book and to CBS News, she seems to admit telling the Feds whatever she had to in order to stay out of prison. Below are some excerpts with the links to the source so you can read and decide for yourself.  Maybe someone owes Karen an apology?

AND

AND

From our blog dated 7/21/11 Right from "I Married A Mobster"  Working Mom Recap

"One day her brother tells her that a guy won’t or can’t pay back the loan. It was for $20,000. Andrea gets extremely upset. She tells her brother to get that money and do whatever he has to do. Her brother understands, so does law enforcement. The DEA hears her 1982 conversations through wire taps. Andrea and 22 other crew members were arrested.

The Feds take Andrea into an interrogation room. They know her history and all the mobsters she had been with. She can’t play dumb. The Feds say either she tells them everything she knows or she will be facing 10 years in prison. They play her the tapes they have, including some that have recorded threats on her life. If she goes to prison she is sure to lose her kids. The mob wanted her dead. So , Andrea tells the Feds everything she knows. Andrea cannot go into the witness protection program because she shares joint custody of one of her children with her ex-husband, and that child would not be allowed to enter."  http://mobwives.blogspot.com/2011/07/i-married-mobster-giovinos-working-mom.html

AND

Andrea's primary concern has always been her children.  She seemingly admits to cooperating with the Feds to keep custody of her babies. Her full story, including her dealings with the Feds are in her book.

See pages 232 and 233 from "Divorced From the Mob" By Andrea Giovino

AND

Here is the episode of "Working Mom" if you've never seen it. Andrea says, "I wasn't being no stand up person for any of those scumbags."  When she faces prison and losing her kids she makes the decision to tell the Feds everything (18:30). By the end of the episode it sounds as though she cooperated for $75,000 and relocation to Pennsylvania.

So did Andrea cooperate, strike a deal, inform on mobsters and talk her husband and brother into cooperating in exchange for money and relocation?  Is that flipping?  You decide.

MM’s 2 cents on the matter:

I’ve kept silent on this matter because frankly I hold a lot of respect for Andrea Giovino.  She’s a woman who had guts, hustle and smarts to do what she needed to do for her family, especially her babies.  I am aware that Andrea is big on charity; helping down & out women get on their feet or ensuring children don’t miss out on a holiday.

I’m sure there is an end game/goal for Brittany Fogarty joining Mob Wives.  On production’s end, blonde eye candy and maybe Drita D’avanzo having someone to talk to besides Big Ang who had way bigger fish to fry.  Brittany’s goal may be exposure for something bigger.  Do I know for sure? No.  Do I know the operation of Brittany’s mind? No.

Frankly, I was floored in learning of Brittany Fogarty joining the Mob Wives franchise.  For reasons I am not comfortable to share, out of respect for private conversations.  For clarity, I’m not referring to any conversation with Brittany.

My take on Brittany Fogarty in regards to her Mob Wives scenes only:

She’s seemingly has become Drita’s puppet.  It’s comical for me to see her one minute tell Karen, “….no one tells me what to do….”  Then see her with Drita slurping up  the advice to tell Carla this and Renee that. In conclusion, Karen Gravano isn’t lying about Andrea Giovino giving the Feds information.  It’s not a secret.  What I don’t understand is the denial about what has been well documented.  Oh the irony continues.

I Married A Mobster: Uncle Adam Tells Love To "Dream On"

Adam Arias, Jan. 4, 1964 - Sept. 11, 2001

Originally posted 11 September 2011.

I wanted to speak to Love Majewski about her memories of her uncle, Adam Arias after her mother told me how close the two were. They were only 5 or 6 years apart in age and because Lorraine took care of her youngest brother very often, Love and Adam were raised more like brother and sister. In fact, as we talked, Love referred to him over and over as her best friend. It was a multi-layered relationship of three very close bonds (uncle/niece, brother/sister, best friends) in one.

Love tells me a story of when she was just 17 years old. She was always ambitious and one day she made some signs “Nails By Love.” She took them to a local salon and made a deal with them. She would work there and do nails and just keep 40% of the fee. They hired her and she saved up her money. There was a Jewelry lady there and Love took the money she had saved up and bought a sterling silver pinky ring with onyx, for her uncle Adam.

When she got involved with Ray, Adam was her protector. He stood up to him and tried to get Love to leave him. Ray stole three of his cars and destroyed them in retaliation. The relationship between Love and Ray created some distance between her and Adam. But when Love broke it off with Ray, Adam was there to comfort and support her and never said I told you so.

Years later, after the attacks of 911, the police came to their home looking for something they could use to ID the body. They asked for a toothbrush or hairbrush, but his wife was so distraught and in denial, she wouldn’t let the police have anything of his. In her state of mind she thought he was coming home and would not accept his death. They tell Love that they need something of his to ID his body.

Love was there because she and Adam had purchased co-ops in the same building, she was 27 at the time and he was 32. He moved in with his new wife. Love explains that what was so beautiful about the co-ops was that they looked out on the skyline of Manhattan. That later turned out to be a curse, when all they could do was to look out and watch the buildings burn for days.

The authorities told Love that his wife was hindering the investigation. Love tried to help and she went to her uncle’s jewelry box. In it she she was surprised to find the pinky ring she had given him 10 year ago, all polished up. She realized just how special the ring was to him when his wife told her that of course he still had it, he took great pride in the fact that she bought it for him with money she had saved from her first job.

Although Adam was missing, and they found his body in eight days, it took weeks for them to positively identify him. Love spent a lot of time with his wife. Love says she herself felt like she was having a nervous breakdown. She would stare at the bus stop where he would get off at night and look up to her window. She couldn’t sleep for days and the doctor prescribed valium and ambien. The ambien ended up keeping her up for 7 days. Love called her girlfriend who knew a cop that drove them around from hospital to hospital and morgue to morgue looking for Adam. They went to other facilities that were holding the remains of the victims too, but he wasn’t at any of them.

Meanwhile, Adam's wife was having a real breakdown. One day she put on Adam’s shirt and tie and was walking around in it. Love noticed that a door to the co-op emergency exit was open and she went up the stairs. There on the roof was his watching the burning buildings, saying I can’t feel him. She was falling apart and so was Love. But, Love tried whatever she could to get her off the roof. She told her to have faith and to pray for Adam and the best will happen. She says you know Adam loves you and he will find a way to come back. Even though Love believes she saved a life that day, Love still feel guilty about what she said. A few days later they found Adam’s body and his wife asked her why she told her those things, she should have let her die on the roof.

Adam was warned to leave the building by his older brother, Donald, but he would not leave until all his employees were safely out. There was an employee with a medical condition that made it difficult for her to leave. Adam was helping her.

Before 911, Adam sang in a Rock Band and was very talented. Because of his profession as Vice President at Euro Broker, he couldn’t grow his hair or wear earrings. But he had an incredible voice and loved to sing. When they played his music at his funeral there was not a dry eye in the house. Love says, when he sang he would always tell her, “come see me, come see me.” She didn’t go often, she was busy with girl friends. But whenever she did go, the second she hit the door, the band would immediately start playing “Dream On.” This song held special memories for Love and Adam. That was the song that Love’s father used to sing to her when she was a child. Now her uncle would sing it to her to bring her comfort. The song was always ready for her when he walked through the door and, while he would sing it, he would come to her with his mike in hand and hug and kiss her. That was his greeting for her.

At his funeral they had a Voice Memorial and “Dream On” was played in the background. Love says the words are so beautiful and they talk about continuing to dream and life moves on. She says he would never want her to stop her life. He just wanted her to do the right thing. And when she got a job in an office her would bring his executive friends by to meet her and tell them she is “a world class model.” He took her to charity functions and, if guys asked about her, he would tell them “that’s my niece, back off.”

Adam meant the world to Love, he was her best friend. In his memory, she does charity functions to raise money and keep his memory alive. Anything that has to do with 911, she is there to honor his memory in any way she can. And, from hearing her story and her emotion I honestly feel he is proudly looking down on her now and all she has accomplished in her life and singing, “Dream On” Love.

I Married A Mobster: Lorraine Arias-Beliveau, Love’s Mother

Originally posted 11 August 2011.

I often blog about the family and friends of the mob wives and mistresses that we watch each week. It’s not only interesting reading, but it gives us a fuller and deeper understanding of the women and their lives. Instead of the one dimensional picture we are given about their life in the mob, it’s insightful to have some additional information into who they are and where they came from. And, although we haven’t seen Love Majewski’s episode of I Married A Mobster yet, I came across a very interesting article in the Daily News, written by her mother, Lorraine Arias-Beliveau, that tells one amazing story.  It's the story of the love of a sister for her brother, who was a hero.

Lorraine describes how her youngest brother, Adam Arias, was a hero who saved lives the day the second World Trade Center building was struck in the 9/11 attack. His office was on the 84th floor. Lorraine says that another of their brothers, Major Donald Arias, in the US Air Force, had called to warn him about the attack and told him to get out of the building immediately. Adam was concerned for the safety of others and gave no thought to hmself.  He raced through the office making sure all employees left the building. Many have said that he saved their lives that day. Adam was last seen outside the towers helping firefighters get people to safety. In his valiant efforts to save others, he stayed moments too long at the site. The towers collapsed, he was killed and his remains were discovered 8 days later.

Adam Arias

Lorraine tells of her own personal experience, in the Daily News, of how she sought justice for her brother, Adam, who died in the 9/11 terrorist attack while trying to save lives. In January, 2009 she went to Guantanamo Bay, where terrorist trials were being held. She went there with her brothers. Very few victims’ families were allowed to go, and those that did, were picked by a lottery system. She describes what she witnessed when she got there. There was a courtroom and five “detainees,” the co-conspirators of 9/11, were brought in. Among them, the alleged mastermind of the terrorist attacks on the United States, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. She recalls how his lawyer stopped the proceedings to asked the court for a pillow for the accused to sit on and how this sparked a lot of heated discussion. Lorraine was in disbelief as she thought, this man was responsible for the death of more than three thousand innocent people and they were talking about a cushion for him to sit on?  Mohammed proudly declared his guilt, but the trial was soon postponed by President Obama.

I Married A Mobster: Toni Marie & Sharon Advice

Toni Marie Fappiano and Sharon McDonnell

I came across this short video on AOL this morning with two of the women from I Married A Mobster, season two. Even though the clip is short, I found it interesting. Toni Marie actually mentions Carla Facciolo in association with her husband, Mikey Scars. When I think back to all the time Mob Mistress and I spent looking for a definitive connection, some concrete evidence, so we could write a blog on that relationship ...I just wish we had Toni Marie's number back then!

This season of I Married A Mobster looks very promising and is off to a great start. If you missed any of the episodes so far, check the program schedule of Investigation Discovery and see when they are being rebroadcast in your area!

NOTE: You know what I keep thinking? Why the hell would Mikey Scars cheat on Toni Marie with Carla? It's part the lifestyle? Carla sure didn't like it when the shoe was on the other foot and Joe cheated on her, did she? And, the only meal I have ever seen Carla brag about is her escarole and beans, her daughter's favorite. Toni Marie has posted a dozen or so delicious meals for fans to see. Oh well, I am going out to buy Toni Marie's books as soon as they are published. I hear she plans to write a cookbook and the story of her life. Do you think Carla will be in it? Stay tuned!

I Married A Mobster: Toni Marie's 4 Star Kitchen

Toni Marie Fappiano from I Married A Mobster
"Scarred For Life"

Investigation Discovery has already aired Toni Marie's episode, "Scarred For Life," on August 15th. You may still be able to catch her episode because ID rebroadcasts them. Check their program schedule.

My agenda today is not Toni Marie, the ex mob wife, but Toni Marie the Italian Chef! There are days I will be reading or chatting on Twitter and, all of a sudden, Toni Marie will post a picture of the dinner she has made for her husband. She has my mouth watering for a delicious dinner, but all I have are my lousy chicken cutlets waiting for me. I whined so much about my cutlets that Toni Marie graciously shared her recipe with me. I will be trying it out soon. Meanwhile, she puts all my dinners to shame. Still, I love looking at her delicious meals, all of which look like they came out of a Four Star Restaurant and not somebody's kitchen. I vicariously enjoy them as I envy her husband. Toni Marie has plans to write a cookbook too. I hope in the not too distant future! Guess who will be first in line at her book signing? You look at the following pictures and tell me you will not be standing right behind me waiting to buy yours!

Bolognese sauce & Rigatoni

Salad

Portobello Mushrooms

Sausage and Peppers

Clams

Chicken and Artichoke Hearts

Fresh Mozzarella & Basil

A "quick" dinner
Shrimp and Broccoli

Steak Pizzaiola

Not only is Toni Marie a fantastic cook, but apparently she is also an excellent photographer. When I questioned her, she modestly says she took the pictures with her cell phone! Imagine what she could do with professional equipment?  From the pictures, it seems to me, her favorite ingredient for every recipe is "love."  She always has me wondering what "WE" are having tomorrow night?

I Married A Mobster: Meeting Toni Marie at Launch Party

Toni Marie, even more beautiful in person!

Last night I was invited to the Premiere Party of season two of I Married A Mobster, by Director, Kevin Kaufman! The season premiered with the episode, “Scarred For Life,” the story of Toni Marie Fappiano and her ex-husband, Michael “Mikey Scars” Di Leonardo. The event was held at I Tre Merli restaurant in Soho, Manhattan. I am usually a homebody, but I am very happy I was able to attend and meet Toni Marie, who was very sweet and gracious.

When my husband and I got to the restaurant, the front of the building was all open and we just strolled in. The tables were full of people enjoying their dinners and the food looked and smelled delicious. I only had to take a few steps before I saw Toni Marie chatting with some friends. I waited until she had a moment, to approach her and introduce myself. Someone told her I wanted to say hello. She looked at me wondering who I was, so I gave her a hint. I said, I am the person who loves your recipes! She thought a minute and said, “It has to be someone from Twitter,” and then immediately after she said, “Chiara?” I said yes. We both laughed. We chat every day about her wonderful recipes and the pictures she posts of her prepared meals, that look like they were made at a four star restaurant. The woman is a fantastic cook, I verified this later in the evening, with a reliable source. I let Toni Marie get back to her dinner and family while my husband and I strolled on to the back of the restaurant.

Soon I was approached one of by Toni Marie’s PR people, Laura Carlucci. We had a very nice chat about Toni Marie and some of the future projects she is working on. We chatted about the blog and how I got started writing it. Then she asked for my business card. I’m sorry to say that I busted out laughing. I told her I don’t have business cards, I do this for a hobby. She gave me her card and I will email her later. I want to make sure I am kept up-to-date on all of Toni Marie’s future plans!

A gentleman comes over to me and asks if I would mind taking a picture with Toni Marie? I say of course not. He literally escorts over to where she is standing. Toni Marie introduces me to her husband, and then I take a picture with her and then the two of them. When we are done, the gentleman who came to get me, insists on escorting me back to my husband. That’s how things are done.

A few minutes later, who shows up? None other than my favorite I Married A Mobster star, Love Majewski. I almost thought she wasn’t coming because she has been sick for a week. But no, there she was, a real trooper and as effervescent as ever! We hug and chat a couple of minutes and it was really so good seeing her again. As she leaves to say hello to Kevin Kaufman, the woman next to me, who I had been chatting with about the blog and the Sopranos, is impressed. “Who was that she asked?” I tell her that’s Love Majewski from season one of IMAM. “Oh, she says, they all know you!” I said, “Yes, they all know me, but not all of them love me.” And I laugh.

Toni Marie with Kevin Kaufman

My phone rings. Guess who wants to talk to me during all the noise at the party? Right! Mob Mistress. She is always checking in on me to make sure I am having a good time and to give me orders. “Did you get pictures of Toni Marie?” “Did you introduce yourself to Kevin Kaufman?” “Did you say hello to Nancy DeLucia?” I tell her I got pictures, but that wasn’t enough to make her happy. “What are you waiting for, be assertive!” she says, in a voice I know too well that says, I will never hear the end of it if I don’t.  So I get off the phone and make sure I fulfill all her expectations. I walk over to Kevin Kaufman and introduce myself. We have a brief chat and he says he appreciates all the time we devote to the show. I tell him we love mob wives! He laughed and said he knows. I ask him where I can find Nancy DeLucia, because I want to say hello. Well she happens to be three feet away from where we are standing. Kevin introduces me and Nancy and her husband, Mickey DeLucia aka Carfella, who already know who I am. They follow us on Twitter and read the blog. They thanked me for promoting the show. Then Carfella volunteers he just sold Big Ang a new car…it’s a small world isn’t it? Well it is in Staten Island.

Toni Marie with Nancy DeLucia

Toni Marie with Mikey DeLucia aka Carfella

When Toni Marie’s episode ends, my husband and I are ready to leave. It’s past our bedtime. So I say good bye to Love, who doesn’t let me leave without getting a picture of the two of us, and a hug. I make my way to the front of the restaurant to say good bye to Toni Marie. We chat a little more about her recipes and she gives me a hug. A beautiful lady is there and wants to take another picture of me with Toni Marie. She looks familiar too. I ask her, who are you? She says, “I’m Lisa, Toni Marie’s sister.” “Oh that’s great,“ I say, “more for me to blog!”  I ask her, “Does Toni Marie’s food taste as good as it looks?” Without hesitation she answers yes. I knew it! Toni Marie adds she gave me her chicken cutlet recipe to try. I answered, “Don’t worry, I won’t give it to anyone!” I ended by telling them what a nice family they have, and it’s true. I felt welcomed and right at home.

Toni Marie with her sister, Lisa

And now, it’s time for me to really leave. I really had a good time and am glad I went. I had a trying day and was having second thoughts about going, but it did me a lot of good to get out and I met such wonderful people.

I Married A Mobster is on Wednesday nights on Investigation Discovery. Check your local listings for show times. Next week the show will feature Nancy DeLucia’s episode, “It’s Me Or The Mob,” at 10:30 PM ET. There will also be a new episode of IMAM at 10 PM, so make sure to catch them both. You can check the schedule and show summaries on this link: I Married A Mobster Season Two and then set your DVR’s!

I Married A Mobster: Toni Marie Fappiano's Preview

We have been talking about season two of I Married A Mobster for some time now. Well, the new season starts on Wednesday, August 15th. There will be two episodes aired, back to back. The first episode, "Breaking Bulger," will air at 10 PM ET with mob wife Lindsey Cyr telling the story of James "Whitey" Bulger.

Mikey was a member of the Gambino crime family and has a long history of crime and cheating. We have done several blogs on him, all of which you can find using the search feature on the right hand side of the blog. One of the woman Mikey cheated on Toni Marie with was none other than Carla Facciolo. He is the man Karen referred to as her "uncle in the life" when confronting Carla on the Mob Wives Reunion Show of season two. It's a small mob world.

I Married A Mobster: Linda Scarpa Raps Drita D'avanzo?

Lil Linda with her father Greg "The Grim Reaper" Scarpa
Lord knows Linda Scarpa of I Married A Mobster will wear the horns off a billy goat.  Her and I have played cordial then gone full on Twitter tiffs.  I have to share, I like Linda Scarpa at times.  At other times she's so frustrating.  Frustrating as in level 10 choke a bitch.  I know violence is wrong.  I would not just randomly choke anyone.  I admit to it crossing my mind on occasion.  When it's all typed and done, Linda Scarpa is the daughter of Greg "The Grim Reaper" Scarpa Sr. and part of the cast of I Married A Mobster season 1.  It seems Linda is more than just a Daddy's Little Girl.  On her Facebook recently she posted a rhyme in regards to Drita D'avanzo of Mob Wives.

Here's my lil rhyme for Drita... See it goes like this Her name is Drita Davanzo....She thinks she's Gangsta but she's really just a wankster..She thinks She's a Rapper But She's Really Just A flapper...She claims to have Fame But She's Really Kinda Lame..Drita's got no name in Mob World and her stories getting Old...She thinks Shes in the Mob but Shes re
ally Just a Slob...She's Got No BRAVADO!! She RIDES Coat tails on GRAVANO!!..Yea she's on the show but She's really Got to Go..YOur supposed to be A Lady but your really very Shady....Cause you Act like a Guy till You got Punched In your Eye...See this is how I Feel cause You Know Im Fucking REAL...See Im no Wankster my Father really was a Gangster..I Don't run around town Acting like A Clown. Why don't you be a Role Model Stop acting like Trash...See I'll ALWAYS Have the Upperhand Cause i Have CLASS... DRITTTAAAA...Hit It.. "tired of the wannabees and why would you wannabe"..

Linda Scarpa in recent time striking a pose.
See Im tired of the Fakes So this is my Take.. Drita I Know how you Roll ...From the Day That you Crawled Out of your HOLE..It's Easy When your making the Cash and All you have to do is Act like Trash..You launched your new Line Just Me..What Happened You Forgot About Lee!!!.Not even Lee Was In The Life He Robbed Banks for His lovely Wife.....See I know This Cause I've been In the LIFE.. and I know for a Fact You Aint No MOBWIFE..You Used his name Just to get Ahead..That being Said Put your story to Bed.. Cause Without Lee You really are a Wannabee....See the Apple don't fall far from the Tree and I am GANGSTA with a Capital G............. DRItaaaaaa hit it...LOL

What am I going to do with not one but two rapping mob wives?  I suppose I'll keep watching Mob Wives & wait for season 2 of I Married A Mobster to begin.  Check out Linda in action on her Facebook page & Twitter if you like.  Ms. Scarpa is a colorful character who has a history of beefing with a mob wife or mob moll and then some.  I thank Linda Scarpa for giving me a wonderful chuckle.  I imagine Jennifer Graziano of JustJenn Productions and Kevin Kaufman of Kaufman Films have their hands full of drama dealing with the talent.

I Married A Mobster: Season Two Cast Revealed!

Toni Marie "Fappiano" Ricci
ex-wife of Michael "Mikey Scars" DiLeonardo

The New York Post reveals some of the women who will be appearing on the second season of I Married A Mobster on the Investigation Discovery channel. Topping the list is Toni Marie Ricci, who was once married to Michael "Mikey Scars" DiLeonardo. This is the man that Karen referred to as her "uncle" in the lifestyle; the man she may have accused Carla Facciolo of sleeping with for years, during the Reunion Show. This part of the story may or may not be aired on the show, but you can find a couple of blogs on our website about it. Mob Mistress also did a recent interview with Toni Marie and you can find Carla's scars here.

The IMAM series revolves around individual episodes of Mob Wives and their stories. Season one included the stories of Love Majewski in "Love Hurts" and Diondrea Nicosia "Ebony and Ivory" and we have recaps of their episodes on the blog.  Season two has scheduled show episodes on Christine Mazza, Linda Milito, Georgia Durante and others. Linda Milito has been one of the most outspoken in recent months, complaining that VH1 and Mob Wives allegedly stole portions her life story for the show (ridiculous @@).) She also believes that Sammy Gravano was involved in her husband's murder and disappearance and holds this assumption against Karen. However, Sammy testified and wrote in his book, "Underboss," he was not the shooter in the Milito case. She has also written her own book, "Mafia Wife."

I Married A Mobster: Toni Marie Ricci Interview

Toni Marie Ricci happily married today.

One of the perks of blogging is getting to talk to sometimes just very real, humble and honest individuals.  Toni Marie was definitely one of those individuals.  I have to share she has been the most guarded out of all my interviews.  I know her history.  So I fully understand.  I'm just very thankful she took time out of her day to speak to me on a subject aired last night during VH1's Mob Wives Reunion.

Congratulations on being cast in season 2 of I Married a Mobster!  Why did you decide to go public & share an aspect of you life within the lifestyle?
Thank you!  First I was invited to do Mob Wives.  I thought about it.  I decided it wasn't my cup of tea.  I wanted to tell my story without the fighting & interruptions.  I started reading my name on some sites, it was hurtful for strangers to be writing about my dirty laundry.

We know you are a wife and mother?  Do you feel comfortable telling us about your son & current husband?
My son is an unbelievable man.  He's my hero.  He kept me going through the dark times.  He helped me move on.  My husband is my savior.  Besides my son he's the best thing that ever happened to me.  That's all I'm comfortable with discussing.

Fair enough, you are the former wife of Michael DiLeonardo a.k.a. Mickey Scars, correct?
 Yes.

How long were you married?
 17 years.

Were you faithful?
 Yes.

Michael "Mickey Scar" DiLeonardo
Was he faithful?
No, I can't get into too many details due to my upcoming episode on I Married A Mobster.

Without giving away too much in regards, to your episode what do you think the viewers we learn from your experience?
When an individual is groomed within the context of a certain lifestyle, it's all they know.  They don't know any other way to live.  You can't fault them.  I also hope those who suffer abuse whether physical or mental learn they can get through anything.  I didn't believe I could do it alone.  I discovered I could.  I did stand up on my own.  Let me be clear there are those who've had it harder than me.  I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a child.

We’ve learned that you know some of the cast from Mob Wives?  Can you tell us which ones you know & your relationship with each of them.
I've met Ramona once not too long ago.  I've known of Renee for over 20 years.  You know how it works in the boroughs; everyone knows everyone.  I met with her a couple of times. I just like a person to be real, not too gossipy.  If we are friends, then we are friends.  Karen is younger than me.  Some of my family were friendly with her father.  We went to her family's 4th of July & Christmas parties.  That's how I know Karen.

You went to the Gravanos' parties?! You have to tell me what they were like, I've heard about them.
She laughs.  Yeah they did it up.  I don't know what to tell you.  I do it up a little too, just not so loud.  4th of July tends to be one of our biggest parties.

Would you ever consider being part of a series on a continual basis?
I did consider Mob Wives as I mentioned earlier.  I have to be honest.  I thought about the opportunity to get a hold of Carla.  However, that's not me.  I don't want to conduct myself in that manner.  The arguing & fighting isn't me.  It isn't how I want to portray myself.   I've watched Mob Wives.  I don't get why someone would sign up for a reality show and not be real.  Carla's acting touched a nerve.  She's not being real.  I come from Brooklyn.  I don't take people's feelings lightly.  Everyone makes mistakes.  However, when I watched the scene with Drita confiding in her about Lee's cheating, I saw no empathy from Carla.  She's just not a nice person.  She doesn't own her actions or the pain she caused.  She was Mickey's goumada and knew about me.  I admit last night on Twitter I got a little vicious.

Toni Marie doesn't hold back on Twitter after years of silence.
So you watched the Mob Wives Reunion part 1?
Yes, there was a reunion moment when Carla claimed Ramona was lying.  I caught Ramona say, "...we had a deal..."  Well Carla didn't take the cue to let it go.  She kept going.  She basically gave herself up.

How did you feel with Karen dropped the bomb of her effing an uncle (within the lifestyle)?
Honestly I felt happy.  Carla Facciolo doesn't want anyone to talk about her family and her business.   She freely talks about the other Mob Wives' family & their business.  Why is she hiding?  I was glad the truth came out.  It was long overdue.  I thought, 'You got yourself caught up into it.'

Thank you Toni Marie for your time & honesty.  I was thinking about something.  Did my post on Carla allegedly having an affair with your ex-husband hurt you?
Yes, it irked me.  I lived it.  It was a really painful time.  When you see my episode you'll understand.

Well I'm sorry.  It's never my intent to hurt anyone.
You don't need to apologize.

No, I do.  I want you to know that I am sincerely sorry.  It's never my intention to cause anyone pain.
It's okay.  Thank you for taking the time to speak with me.

Thank you Toni Marie.  We're looking forward to your episode on I Married A Mobster on Discovery ID to air.  We're excited about watching it. Take care, good bye.
You have a great day, bye.

We'll definitely be tuning into Discovery ID's season 2 of I Married A Mobster.  We believe it airs this summer.  It's getting hot in Mob Wives land.

I Married A Mobster: Thank God, I Di-ent!

Love Majeski for Mob Candy by Al Rodriguez
A popular I Married A Mobster episode around here was definitely Love Hurts featuring the former mob moll Love Majewski.  So viewers felt bad for Miss Majewski not getting the good square guy in the end.  You remember the fellow who dumped her faster than Carl Lewis once the feds came a knocking.

Well it seems he is no longer scared of law enforcement.  I know, I know innocent until proven guilty.  However, Mr. Squarepants seems to have recently had close contact with the feds.  Close enough to be arrested and taken away in handcuffs.  About two weeks ago, Ronald Piggot was arrested in connection with an alleged mob associated loan sharking ring.  And yes Ronald is the legit guy who once upon a time was going to marry Love.

Some have been asking the question: Does Love feel responsible for her ex-fiance's recent arrest and alleged mob association?  I think it's an absolutely dumb question.  Isn't he like a grown ass man? However, I aim to please the intelligent and dumb alike, so I asked her the dumb question.

Hey Love, I have a quick question for you.  I think it's dumb.  We all have dumb moments.

Mob Mistress, you are too much.  Shoot what's the question?

Your fiance was arrested recently.

You know too much.

I agree.  Moving along, do you feel any responsibility for his recent arrest?  Basically do you feel your previous romantic relationship with him introduced him to the lifestyle?

My heart goes out to his family especially his children.  I do not feel responsibility.  When we dated he didn't know about my past.  I had moved on.  I was no longer in the lifestyle.  I didn't introduce him to the lifestyle.  He did meet one of the individuals arrested at a get together.  I don't feel like going into farther detail.  However, it was strictly fun, friends and family.  It had nothing to do with any sort of business legal or illegal.  I know absolutely nothing about what the man does today.  He is a 42 year old man.  He alone is responsible for his choices.  I wish his kids the absolute very best.  I'll always love them.

Well that's all I wanted to know. Sorry, for bothering you and happy halloween.

You never bother me. Happy Halloween Mistress!

I didn't want to push Love too much.  However, one has to wonder if Love is overjoyed that wedding bells di-ent ever ring for her and Ronald.  Well I've done my good blog deed for the week.  It's slow around here.  I am tired of digging.  I am tired of pestering my sources.  The holidays are upon us.  So this blog will be slower than a turtle stuck in molasses.  I do have some great information.  However, it'll be better closer to the premiere of season 2 of Mob Wives. And Jenn Jenn won't get too mad at me, lol.

I hear the Mob Wives have been throwing some Trick or Treat festivities.  I heard one mob wife's party was as poppin as a morgue.  Basically it was low on live bodies in attendance, WOWZERS!  Well in December/January things will pick up, I am sure of it.  And a special halloween hi to Rosey, Kara, Stephen, Alyssa, Miss Janis and Tasha.

Happy Halloween to all The Mob Wives Blogspot readers!

I Married A Mobster: Season 2 Confirmed

Love Majewski and Cheryl Caruso of I Married A Mobster at fan meet & greet.
First the rumor mill has been buzzing about a season 2 for Discovery ID's I Married A Mobster.  Yesterday, I received confirmation from a Discovery ID source.  I am happy to learn I'll get a glimpse of 12 additional women's mob related stories.  I have a few suggestions for Kaufman Films.  Kevin I hope you are paying attention.  I actually know what I'm typing about:

1.  30 minutes is not enough for these women's stories.  Can we get an hour?

2.  We don't want another episode with the male perspective, unless he's a gay lover.  I tune in for the women's perspective.

3.  I don't know if you can pull it off.  However, a woman who has had an intimate relationship with a  Russian Mob or Yakuza member or associate would be a coup for your team.  Heads up, I refuse to be one of the women.

4.  An episode focusing on the lives the women are living today would be great.
Congratulations to Kaufman Films and Discovery ID for an interesting, informative and entertaining series!

Adrea Giovino handling herself on The View.
I queried a Discovery ID source in reference to which episode grabbed the most viewers.  I was told there was no specific numbers.  However, it seemed Cheryl Caruso & Andrea Giovino's episodes had the most viewers.  A huge hug and congratulations to Cheryl Caruso & Andrea Giovino.  I wish both ladies all the happiness and continued success.

I have to share I'm not surprised by this news.  Yet I'm miffed.  Though our site received a nice number of hits thanks to episode 1 and 2 of I Married A Mobster.  It is Diondrea Nicosia's episode who has had our site numbers jumping each time it airs.  If you look to the right of our site, you'll see our popular posts.  Diondrea comfortably sits @ number 9.  Mob Wives is our bread and butter around here.  To see an I Married A Mobster post crack the Mob Wives' dominance on The Mob Wives Blogspot is major.  Another major source of hits on our site is the fork stabbing Love Majewski.  When her episode airs she is always in the top posts of the day, week and/or month.  All of the women have shown our site loads of support.  I have to share Andrea sent me the most beautiful flowers.  Cheryl sent me a wonderful bottle of Talero Tequila.  If you are a tequila fan, you absolutely have to grab a bottle.  You will so not regret it.  It's smoooooooooooooth!  Love sent me a case full of Veritas Cosmetics.  I've been a MUA for over 2 decades.  Her lip liners are my absolute favorite.  They're what I've been looking for.... they glide on smooth & have staying power.  She has an eyeshadow color called Rebel.  I have well over an hundred eyeshadows.  Rebel is my absolute favorite.  Note: I have Dior, Chanel, Nars, Stila, Bobbi Brown, Lorac, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, etc. in my kit.

I Married A Mobster: Page Six Misfires

Is that Dina Lohan posing for a photo next to Love Majewski's mother or am I seeing things?!
As you many of you know Chiara was The Mob Wives Blogspot representative at Love Hurt's premiere party.  After a night of talking with Mob Wives and I Married A Mobster's cast Chiara was all mobbed out.

We read Page Six on occasion.  And I enjoy Cindy Adam's take on things somedays.  However, she got something way wrong in a recent article.  Or should I say someone's camp wanted a certain spin portrayed.  Either way I feel a responsibility to our readers to set the record straight.  Love Majewski did not marry Chris Paciello.

Dina Lohan did not arrive late.  She was 45 minutes early to I Married A Mobster's Love Hurts premiere party.  Dina took plenty of pictures with photographers and anyone with a camera.  V.I.P.s important to Love Majewski showed up.  My sources shared it seemed as if Dina drunk more than 3 Champagne cocktails.  They admit they weren't counting.  And they don't think she was either.  They added a certain platinum haired mother was smoking cigarettes in the Lair's powder room.

Dinah Lohan was allegedly overheard saying the following to Karen Gravano, "I'm not afraid of you I know Victoria Gotti."

Moving along sources allege she spoke to Love Majewski's mother Lorraine Arias-Believeau stating, "I know how embarrassing it can be; I have daughters."

To which  Mrs. Arias-Believeau replied, "Who said I was embarrassed? You're someone's mother?"  In fairness, I've shared the same thought in regards to Ms. Lohan.  And I haven't even met her.

I was going to type that Karen Gravano is not her best friend.  I'm Karen's bestie!!!  She just doesn't know it.  I caught myself and I thought, 'I'll ask Karen my damn self!'

Ring, ring, ring...

"Hello."

"Hey Karen this is Mob Mistress."  She laughs.  They all laugh when I call. "You can call me _______ that's my first name.  I have a question for you.  Are you best friends with Dina Lohan?"

"No.  I just met her the night of Love's premiere party.  She was very cordial with me.  She mentioned her daughter watches Mob Wives.  They commend me for coming forward and standing my ground."

I laugh.  She laughs.  I continue, "Well that's what I was going to write.  But I thought I'd ask you just to make sure.  When one assumes that can make an ass out of themselves."  I think about mentioning that we are best friends that's how I know it was a lie.  However, she's in the mist of finishing up MOBDAUGHTER.  So I leave her be for now.  Maybe I'll call Jennifer Graziano's assistant I haven't bugged him in quite a long time.  I know he misses me.

We get it wrong too sometimes.  But how we try not to....  CLICK HERE to read Cindy's Page Six take on things.

I Married A Mobster: Pictures From San Gennaro Festival

Angela Calvacante, Love Majewski and Cheryl Caruso

It was a big day yesterday in Little Italy, New York City  They were celebrating the festival of San Gennaro, which is a big annual event and they had three "mob wives" from I Married A Mobster signing autographs and meeting fans.  The picture above shows the three ladies from episodes of the show and they are holding a bottle of Ms. Caruso's Talero Tequila, which is 100% organic.

Looks like they were signing pictures!

Sitting in front of Mob Scene Gallery on Broome Street

Love and Cheryl in candid shot!

Had it been any other weekend I would have been out there to visit, sip wine and chat with the ladies, but sometimes life gets hectic and it's hard to squeeze everything you want to do in.  I hope some of you got to go and, if so, please comment below and let us know about your experience.

Read about these three women and the others in the series using the search box on the lower right hand side of the blog.

I Married A Mobster: Recap of “Ebony & Ivory”

“Ebony and Ivory” is the story of Diondrea Hopkins Nicosia who was always attracted to bad boys and goes from mob mistress to mob wife.

Dion Hopkins grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey. She was a spoiled kid. Her father was a successful drug dealer, until he got hooked on his own product. When Dion is 3 years old, her father has already hit a point of crisis in his life. Dion goes on to say, that when she was in 5th grade, her father was found floating in the Hudson River. She never really knew him.

As a teenager she loved to do modeling and acting and in 1984 her friend describes her as a “diva.” Dion doesn’t date white guys and is attracted to bad boys, “hustlers and dealers.” She and her friends used to say that white guys smelled like “wet dogs.”

Dion gets a job at an Italian Restaurant where older, white men (wise guys) would give her $50 tips for doing nothing. She was the only one there who was black. Working there was like one big party. She becomes “one of the gang” and is teased about her love life and the fact that she has never been with a white man. One day in 1995, Dion says, a beautiful, suave man walks into the restaurant, Angelo Nicosia. Suddenly, her opinion on white guys, needs to be reevaluated. Angelo was in construction and Dion was very attracted to him. Angelo pulled out all the stops to win her over. She describes their love making as non-stop and passionate. “It was good.” But, things were too perfect. Intense passion becomes replaced by doubts as Dion learns that Angelo is keeping secrets. He is married.

One day Angelo’s wife come by and they are surprised to see her at the restaurant. Dion says she didn’t look like she belonged with Angelo, she had “guidette” hair. Then someone tells Dion that Angelo is a hit man for the Genovese crime family and all the while she thought he had a construction business. She says he used to have guns and weapons in his truck, but when she asked about them, he never gave her a straight answer. Angelo was very secretive about his mob connections, but he was very public about his relationship with Dion. He got her nice gifts, clothes, jewelry, and flowers all the time. For her 23rd birthday he bought her a Jaguar. Angel show off Dion to his mob wise guys. Normally they would not like the fact he was with a black woman, but the thing that saves him is that they all wished they were him, they all loved Dion. However, their wives were not very happy with her, maybe they were afraid their husbands would find black women too, Dion muses?

Angelo moves Dion into a townhouse and she becomes an official “goumah.” Angelo is there all the time. Her job was to look good for Angelo. She always had champagne and wine ready, she cooked pasta dishes and she took money from his stash to go shopping. She devoted herself to making Angelo happy. He would be with her all night and go to work all day.

One night in 1996 there is trouble. They are in the apartment having sex, when there is a commotion at the door. An unexpected visitor shows up banging on the door and yelling, “Ang, I know you’re in there!” The next day Angelo moves in with Dion and leaving his Sicilian wife for a black mistress. Angelo rebels against mob convention. His entire family was devastated. Divorce is not something they believe in. Angelo tells them if they want to see him they are going to have to see her too, so they meet her. Dion’s days of being a mistress were numbered. Angelo was getting a divorce and marrying her.

Angelo and Dion have a baby girl. Angelo is called in for an official sit down. He is told he is disrespecting his family and that he can’t marry Dion and divorce his wife. Angelo sticks to his guns. He is an associate, not a made man, so he gets away with the divorce and marrying Dion. He buys Dion a house in the Poconos and on February 5th, 2005 baby Gia is born. Angelo’s family loved their daughter and called her all kinds of sweet Sicilian names. It was a dream come true for Dion, she had money, a housekeeper and a nanny.

On October 10, 2007 at 5:30 AM the dog is barking. There is banging on the door. Angelo is arrested in a mob sweep. It was a big scene in her neighborhood. The FBI arrests him for extortion and try to get him to talk and cut a deal. Dion learns a lot more about Angelo and is in shock. However, Angelo never cooperates and goes to trial. In 2008 he is convicted of extortion and is sentenced to 46 months in prison. Their daughter, Gia, is only 3 years old.

Angelo never ratted on anyone. Dion knew she had to go to work, the money was gone and she was left with bills to pay on the car and the mortgage. She gets three jobs to make ends meet and even tries to collect on debts owed to Angelo, without much success. While in prison. Angelo finds God. He gets out of prison next month, October, 2011 and intends to go straight. To do that successfully he would need to avoid his old environment and not get sucked back into the life.

Dion and Angelo have been together for 16 years. Will they make it? Time will tell.
