Mob Wives: Drita D'avanzo Arrested

Drita stands by Lee D'avanzo in court appearance.

We're baaaaack!

Not really, I don't know where Chiara is.  Yes, I do.  She's in the holiday spirit making meat sauce for the lasagna.  Why am I on this blog?  Oh yeah, a little birdy gave me a call to see how I've been doing.  Then told me, " I know you don't care but Drita and Lee got busted."

Drita and Lee who?

Oh, snap, the D'avanzos were allegedly arrested on December 20, 1019, just days before Christmas.  I'm not happy to hear guns and drugs were allegedly found in the home.  I guess the neighbors didn't like the extra traffic.

Drita exiting the courtroom. It must be cold outside.

I saw a clip on YouTube.  And I love YouTube comments alongside the best of them.  And who do I see?  One of our former blog readers/ former Renee Graziano fan/ blogger extraordinaire Lizzy a.k.a. Lizzard commenting.  Boy oh boy did she have a lot to type about the Graziano sisters and pills.

She has a theory that one of Drita's former castmates must've ratted the dynamic duo out.

A viewer sharing her opinion on who snitched.

What the f@ck?!  I am of the mindset that Karen Gravano, Carla Facciolo, nor Renee Graziano have the inclination to call the cops on anyone let alone Drita.  But hey maybe that's just little old me.

Everyone has a right to their opinions.  It's definitely okay if we disagree with her take.  Moving along, I stand by my opinion that it was most likely neighbors, concerned about their neighborhood.  I'll end with this, Drita D'Avanzo put a capital S on standing by her man.  Good news she's made bail.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all!

Mob Wives: What's in Drita's New Book?

Where to begin?

While we are waiting for some actual news from Mob Wives on Drita's new book, here is a little sample from what I imagine will be in her book. The book that Lee doesn't want her to write. The book that a  "co-author" or ghostwriter will work on with her. The book that may have more editing than a whole season of Mob Wives before it gets published.

Some working titles: "The Woman with the Blinged Wrench," "Violence is the Answer," "I Want To Eat Your Face Off"

Dedication: To all the Crickets, "Haters are like crickets they chirp all fucking day and you walk by them and they shut the fuck up." - Drita Davanzo.

Chapter 1: My Childhood

I was born to immigrant parents who came from Albania. My parents were old world people, conservative and traditional in their ways. As a child, I have never been bullied, but I got into a lot of fights trying to protect other kids from douchbag bullies. My father is a soccer coach for a woman's team at a New York University. He grew up playing soccer in Albania and trained my brother and I in the sport. I was so good at it that I would even play on my brother's team. I had a chance to get an athletic scholarship to college, but instead my life took another turn.

Chapter 2: The Karen Years

I flipped off the college plans my parents wanted for me and the dreams my father had of me being a professional soccer player. Instead, I started hanging out in bars drinking and of course, fighting. Big Ang owned a bar called "Nocturnal," that was my regular hangout. That's how Ang and I got close. I would fight someone and then she would hide me before the cops got there. It was awesome. I met and became friends with Karen Gravano when I was 19, like for two years. Whatever. We hung out together. She was dating Lee at the time. (Maybe I should leave this part out?) Karen and Lee were on again off again. When Karen's family moved to Arizona we stopped being friends. She moved. I married Lee and never told her. She found out from some snitch. Like I said, we stopped being friends so why should I call and tell her? Just because I lived with her and we hung out? I don't think so. Karen's a friend, Karen's not a friend . . . what the hell do you want? I'm a flip-flopper.

Chapter 3: Life With Lee

I married Lee and my family practically disowned me. Lee was part of the Springville Boys, a farm team of the mob. They didn't approved of him. I got pregnant with Aleeya and Lee went to jail for seven years. Then he came out and I got pregnant with Giselle. He cheated on me while he was out. (Maybe I should leave this part out?) I didn't know about it. Then he went back to jail for another robbery. They filmed how I found out about the cheating on the show during the beauty salon scene. That's when I decided to get a divorce. I changed my mind about that after Lee came home. I want a divorce, I don't want a divorce, like I said, I'm a flip-flopper.

Chapter 4: Mob Wives

I got an opportunity to be on Mob Wives to help me support my kids while Lee was in prison. I took it. I want to build an empire for my girls. The show was exhausting. They brought back Karen who wanted to talk about friendship every f*ckin' minute. What f*ckin' friendship did we have? She moved to Arizona years ago. She keeps talking about a f*ckin' timeline!  Thank God for Carla, she had my back for three solid seasons. Carla was a real and loyal friend. We had dinner at each other's houses and went on vacations together outside the show. But Carla didn't come back for season 4. We lost touch with each other even though we both live on Staten Island. We stopped talking. What did she expect, she f*ckin' left Mob Wives? And then she teamed up with Karen and Ramona, telling people I sold them out by going back for season 4. So what if I broke the pack we all made? (Maybe I should leave that part out?) Anyway, they brought her back at the end of season 5 for a hot minute for Renee's MobCandy Anniversary Party. Yes I grabbed my coat and ran out of there. I had a date with Lee, I had to pack for vacation, blah blah blah, it had nothing to do with Carla being there. She was insulted?  Who cares? Talking to her is like talking to mothballs. We aren't friends like that any more! That's right, we aren't friends any more and, like I said before, she should have known I was a flip-flopper from day one.

Chapter 5: The Natalies

In season 5 my dear "friend" Alicia the Goddess of embezzlement didn't return. Instead they got another Natalie from Philly to add to the cast. I really liked Nat G from season 4. Then I met Nat D at a photoshoot where I did her makeup. I really liked Nat D. Nat D told me some stuff about Nat G, so I didn't like Nat G and confronted her. Then Nat G told me some things about Nat D, so I confronted her and didn't like her. I was friends with Nat G. I was friends with Nat D. It was like a f*ckin' tennis match. Now I ain't friends with nobody. No more gnats in my life. Now, in season 6, I'm friends with Brittany Fogarty. She is my kind of friend . . . until she isn't.

"chirp," just sayin'

Mob Wives: Will Love Majewski & Linda Scarpa Be on Season 6?

Love Majewski & Linda Scarpa
making appearances in Season 6?

What is going on in Season 6 of Mob Wives?  Somebody please fill us in! There are leaks and hints popping up on social media which is all we can depend on right now. What I am doing is trying to do is piece together the tweets and reading between the lines. For example, the original girls, Karen and Carla, have their beefs with Drita and we have seen them tweet about how she "sold them out" after season three ended. But recently two other mob wives have jumped into the mix making me think that just maybe they are coming on as "guests" in season 6. You all remember Love Majewski, who grew up with Karen and Jennifer Graziano and was on season 3 of Mob Wives and season 1 of IMAM? I would love to see Love return to the show! And how about Linda Scarpa from I Married a Mobster? Suddenly she has been chatting it up with Drita. Get a load of these tweets . . .

Drita seems to be saying that she is filming with Linda Scarpa and Linda acknowledges it. Notice how Drita tagged Brittany Fogarty and her mother, Andrea Giovino (also from I Married A Mobster)?  Looks like they might make up Team Drita in Season 6.

Yesterday, Drita tweeted about turning from nice guy into a monster. She was pissed about something and her tweet didn't go unnoticed by Karen and Love who had something to say. @MobWivesSupport captured the drama here:

I love the reference to Drita's wrench!

Now why would Drita be talking about Love all of a sudden? Why would Love post a tweet about Drita being a "sell out?"  If these two have issues, does this mean Love will be a guest on Season 6?  So many questions, but who has the answers?

Maybe we should give Drita the last word today. Drita has always talked smack about her costars and her boss, Jennifer Graziano. Check out this last tweet:

I think we can figure out who she is talking about.

Season 6 promises to be the best one yet, and I like what I am reading in the tweets and between the lines! Stay tuned for the latest developments. Now I am done chirping.

Mob Wives: Drita D'Avanzo Leaving Show?

reality tv animated GIF

Looks like Karen's little gif is coming in handy once again. I just went over Drita's Twitter timeline and found out she says she is leaving Mob Wives after this season. Yeah, can you believe that? No wonder she can tweet whatever she feels like about her boss, Jenn Graziano, who gave her an amazing opportunity. Now it makes sense why she doesn't care about her cast mates. She is blowing everyone off for what she says are "bigger and better things." Hmmmm. How ungrateful is that? Here see for yourself  . . .

.

There you have it!

Rumors have been circulating for almost a year now that Drita is getting her own spin-off reality show. Drita implied that her husband, Lee, may be part of a "future" project. So we could be looking at a "family" show of some kind. That's all well and good, but maybe Drita shouldn't be burning her bridges too soon. Even if she has a new show and it hits the air waves there is no guaranteeing it will succeed. Here's a few titles I came up with in case they need one: "Hey Drita, Get Me A Beer," "Keeping Up With The Raccoons," "Sock Her, Mom!" "Who's The Lady Boss?"

I guess Drita never heard the expression, "Never snub people on your way up, they're the same people you will meet on your way down?" I only hope she takes that Gnat with her. Now I am going to have to echo Karen's well known sentiments . . .

bye, b*tch, bye

Mob Wives: Everyone Weighs In On Drita Tweet!

Drita's Tweet heard round the world
(or at least on Staten Island!)

Drita seems to have made some serious waves with a tweet or two yesterday. I just posted a blog this morning about Drita's tweets and since then everybody has decided to weigh in on them! Carla Facciolo, ex-friend of Drita's and Jennifer Graziano, Executive Producer of the show, were both attacked on Twitter on Valentine's Day. No love lost there. Today, Carla, Jenn, Karen, Ramona, Mob Mistress, and a few others all decided to share their thoughts on Drita's total lack of loyalty and respect. Is Carla a sellout, as Drita says, or is it Drita?

And then there's this . . .

Were four Mob Wives supposed to leave in season 4,
but one backed out of the pact?

Sometimes the "after show" on Twitter is as exciting as the show! I think it's disgraceful that Drita should disrespect Jennifer Graziano, who gave her the opportunity on which to build her "empire." If not for Jenn, Drita would be still behind a counter selling makeup in some mall. Drita says that nothing happened between her and Carla, yet she says they aren't friends "like that" any more and talking to Carla is like talking to a mothball? Something is definitely not right on Drita's end. And who do you think was the "sellout?"

Meanwhile, what does Drita have to say to all this? She's trying to change the subject by talking about "50 Shades of Grey" with her followers. I think, based on the latest circumstances, Drita knows all about "shade" and throwing it. I will let Drita have the last word. . .

Note to Drita: This is our hobby
"chirp, chirp."

Mob Wives: Drita's Life With Lee

Married life agrees with Drita

Drita answers some question about season 5. Her life seems to be going well. She says she is getting along with her husband, Lee D'Avanzo. Now she has the family life she has always wanted. She is still rapping. Her stores, "Lady Boss" are doing well and it sounds like she is fulfilling her promise to her girls and building them that empire. As for season 5, Drita says there will be many surprises. We will learn things about the cast we didn't know and see another side of them. That should be interesting!

If you want to know what Lee is doing since he got out of prison, he opened a store in Staten Island that sells sports trading cards and memorabilia. It's called Mr. Lee's.

And listen to what else Drita has to say:

Mob Wives: Drita Talks About Life With Lee

Drita is interviewed by ABC about how things are going in her life. She talks about how well things are going with Lee. She explains how and why she has made an effort to change in season three. And, she says she is working on a book which will be full of surprises. What struck me most is how happy and relaxed Drita is these days. When she jokes about fighting, she is really joking. It's very refreshing to me to see her as this "new and improved" person and I am enjoying it. What do you think of the new Drita? Is this a permanent change? I tend to believe it is. In any case best of luck to Drita in her marriage, her new book and all her business ventures. Looks like she is going to keep her promise to her girls and build that empire for them.

Mob Wives: Drita D'avanzo Does Drag Queen

Ms. Serena ChaCha and Drita D'avanzo
VH1 thought it would be a great idea to have Drita D'avanzo of Mob Wives interview a drag queen.  It seems Drita was a bit confused as to who was interviewing who.  She reads the questions & then exclaims, "How am I suppose to know?"  We all get confused sometimes, some of us more than others.  Moving along, Ms Serena ChaCha from RuPaul's Drag Race is fierce with a capital F.  Apparently, she complimented Drita's lip gloss once upon a time.  The generous mob wife dug down into her purse to give the drag queen her very own Limelight lip gloss.  Serena ChaCha also gives Drita a drag name Esmerelda KnockOut.  I was thinking more along the lines of Annie Ambulance.  Hey what do I know?!  I'm not a drag queen.  I just look like a man. Watch Drita's attempt at an interview here:

What did you think?  Did Drita do a wonderful job?  Should Oprah clear her desk & make way for Mrs. D'avanzo?  *watching my nail polish dry*  I don't know about you but I can't wait until Sunday @ 10PM on VH1.  I want my Mob Wives!

Mob Wives: Drita Reveals Season 3 Tidbits

Drita was recently interviewed on The Couch, promoting her new business venture “Just Me” cosmetics, and mentioning a few other tidbits.

First she talks about Lee. She says they are “on good terms” and that he will be getting out of prison soon…as in six months. She plans to go see him soon. She is afraid that all of her old feelings may come back. Drita says, the fact is that he was unfaithful and she is trying to move forward with her life, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t still love him.

Drita says she is at peace with Karen, BUT she says, “World War III is coming down with Ramona!”  That is what we can expect in season three.

Drita says she wants to move out of her house because it‘s filled with memories of Lee, but Aleeya is “Crying her eyes out” because she doesn’t want to leave her friends.  This will also be another issue addressed in season three.

Then Drita discusses her make-up line. She says she was always a makeup artist and worked at a high end department store for seven years. She says that experience helped her to learn what the every day woman wanted, and she developed her line to meet the needs of today’s woman. Drita says she wants to build an empire for her daughters and show them that it’s possible for a woman to be independent, strong and successful. Drita has a great message of young girls today, love yourself and be strong, you don’t have to rely on a man. “Just Me” cosmetics are currently being sold at the Staten Island mall, it will be available for sale on her website, drita.com, and she is currently looking for a storefront in the Staten Island mall. She says once that is open you can not only buy the make-up there, but have it professionally done and your hair styled.

I wish Drita all the best and continued success in all her new ventures! I guess crickets aren't all bad?

Be sure to watch The Couch because the Mob Wives are always dropping in to chat!

Mob Wives: Drita a “Pure Goddess” or Is it Just Me?

Just Me Cosmetics has two netrual colors out!

A little over a year ago I had a lovely interview with Drita D’Avanzo in which we spoke of her new cosmetics line. At the time, she envisioned naming her products after her daughters and the special women in her life. Since then she may have gotten some professional marketing advice because she is not sticking with her original thoughts.

Drita is launching her new line at the Staten Island Mall, of all places, right next to the Banana Republic. She is quite proud of the location. Her event is being held August 2nd from 6PM to 8PM and we, at the blog, certainly wish her the very best with this venture.

Now for a little chirping…

All seriousness aside, have you heard of the names of the first two colors she is introducing? The names of her lipsticks are “Pure” and “Goddess,” pictured above. They seem a little pale and neutral to me. I like those colors, but not being a fashionista myself, I have no idea what is “in” or out these days. The event is also being called, “Pure Goddess.” Somehow that doesn’t have an authentic “Drita” ring to it. When I think Drita, I don’t think “pure.” And as for Goddess, I can only imagine they are referring to the Goddess of War.

I hope all Drita’s fans go out to support her on August 2nd and, if you do, please tell her the “cricket” sent you. "Chirp, chirp!"

Mob Wives: Is Drita D'avanzo Divorcing For Real?

A very credible source gave me a swallow of juicy news.  I type swallow but it was more like a sip.  Drita D'avanzo of Mob Wives is dating.  Who she's dating I couldn't retrieve from the source.  However, I hear it's steamy and for real.  Allegedly Drita is oh so done with Lee D'avanzo her husband.  So I guess I was wrong and Drita will be moving forward with her divorce plans.  Time will tell.  If you know who she's dating, snap a photo & send it to us.  We NEED to know.  We really don't need to know.  We'd like to know.  Whoever he is I hope he can take a punch. [insert extreme eye roll]

Tune into VH1 tomorrow for the OFFICIAL premiere of Mob Wives Chicago @ 8 PM.  Some viewers have their feathers all ruffled because they were expecting episode 2 tomorrow night.  VH1 clearly posted the premiere date & the early viewing date.  If you didn't know, it's so not VH1's fault.

Mob Wives: Drita Uses the N-Word?

Originally posted January 2012

Oh say it ain't so, Joe!  So earlier this week I mentioned that 1 or 2 Mob Wives allegedly have David Duke tendencies according to my sources.  Two Mob Wives went on a Twitter spree tweeting away about how The Mob Wives Blogspot isn't a real blog.  I think it's safe for me to type they're not the brightest lights of intelligence in our Universe.  The dictionary is your friend is all I can suggest to the lovely disgruntled geniuses.  They also tweeted to their followers not to read us anymore. I'm glad to know they think they can dictate to their Twitter followers what not to read and all.

Sidebar: We blogged with no readers.  We blogged with five, 50 and 100.  We blog now with thousands reading us.  We will continue to blog if we go back down to zero.  We blog for our own personal enjoyment.  There's a Real Housewives blog which has added Mob Wives to their mix.  Please go and check out their truth if ours isn't working for you.  I am sure it'll be all about how wonderful Panic Punch is and all! For my Real Housewives coverage I'm sticking to Stoopid Housewives.

Moving along, we stumbled on tweets from David Seabrook.   Who is he?!  Mr. Seabrook would be the man in my opinion that finalized the complete end of Karen Gravano's on again off again 7 year relationship with Lee D'avanzo.  In his tweets David alleges Drita called Karen a N-word lover, wow imagine that! I'm just not talking out the side of my ass as an articulate Carla Facciolo follower, @MDovolani  tweeted us earlier today.  Please someone call Mensa and let them know that they have a member on the loose on Twitter.

My sources and David Seabrook must have it all wrong. The Darling Diva of Destruction Drita would never, ever use the N-word.  *rolling eyes*

Some recent Twitter action for your enjoyment!  Who is the lying skank?
Click for a larger view of picture.

Prejudice is not my problem in regards to my opinion of Drita D'avanzo per television & various information.  Frankly after researching the show & it's cast members I believed she'd be my favorite.  I was so very, very wrong.  She's not.  If she manages to end world hunger maybe I'll change my mind.  Karen Gravano & Renee Graziano remain my favorite Mob Wives.  For the record Renee Graziano started out as my least favorite.  She grew on me half way through season 1, now I just love the woman.  I love Ramona Rizzo & Bigg Ang as our newest additions to my favorite reality show.  Both woman add more spice, leopard print, cleavage, eye rolls & loyalty to Mob Wives. Oh and I can't forget about Carla Facciolo. *yawns*  She was an early favorite of mine in season 1.  *cringes*  Sometimes I watch the show & see glimpses of why I liked her so once upon a time.  I know I'm not Carla's favorite blogger.  I doubt if she even remembers me.  However, at the end of the day I have respect for her as it pertains to this blog.  She gave us a lovely interview.  Months later when she had an issue with my Handy Man post, she called me.  We discussed it.  It was over.  In closing, the woman has moxie and great hair.

Mob Wives: Karen Should Make-Up with Drita

"IF" Only...

There I said it. Karen should make up with Drita, but it’s not unconditional. There’s a BIG "IF" attached to go with the title of this blog and I am going to lay it out for whoever cares…and I am not even going to go into the whole “Lee/Friendship” drama. We are all so over that. Let’s just move on and keep it real and let’s see how we can maybe make this happen.

Maybe, Karen should make-up with Drita “IF” Drita apologizes to Karen for not reading Chapter One of her book. Why? Karen offered it as a peace offering, an olive branch, a way to mend the friendship, and what did Drita do with it? She smiled in her face, took it, then went behind her back and badmouthed the book and Karen to Carla. She didn’t even read it, or accept Karen’s phone calls, or call Karen and say, you know what Karen, I’d rather not read it, but thank you.

And, maybe Karen should make up with Drita “IF” Drita apologizes for attacking her on the rooftop. Why? Karen went there to have a nice dinner because Drita called the meeting. Drita went with a huge chip on her shoulder. Karen was still waiting to hear what Drita thought about the book. Once again the past is rehashed and Drita goes on the attack. The problem is she couldn’t get to Karen because Renee was lying on top of her trying to prevent the fight. That didn’t stop Drita from going in there swinging and kicking. Karen walked away fine, but poor Renee had a huge bruise on her leg and tweeted this picture:

And maybe Karen should make up with Drita “IF” Drita apologizes for allegedly telling half of Staten Island and Brooklyn that she put Karen in the hospital after the rooftop fight. Who else talks about fighting and putting people in the hospital 24/7? Why else would people, that Karen and Ramona know personally, report back to them what Drita was saying, unless they heard it?

And maybe Karen should make up with Drita “IF” Drita apologizes for throwing the first punch at Renee’s party that started a whole melee and ruined the entire celebration. Drita could have taken her cue to end the discussion from Ramona, who went out to the balcony when things were getting heated, and said this is not the time or the place, let’s drop it.

And maybe Karen should make up with Drita “IF” Drita apologizes for insisting that Karen leave Lee out of her book. Karen was with Lee seven years and that’s five years longer than Drita actually spent “with” him after they married. Why would Karen leave out one fifth of her life to appease Drita. If you don’t want someone you know writing about your husband in their autobiography, then don’t date and marry your "friend’s" Ex.

Mob Wives: Carmela Meets Mob Wives

Carmela On Meeting Drita and Jennifer:

Everyone likes to talk about their brush with fame. I am no different. I love that adrenaline feeling you get before meeting that certain star. Earlier this year I set out to meet Drita in New Jersey. I really wanted to go alone because I didn’t want to have anyone stand in the way of my chance to meet her one on one. So I went with a friend who didn’t even know who Drita was. I figured this was safe. I went very early to make sure I could get the best seat. Within hours the club filled up. There must have been over a few hundred people there. The dance floor, that seemed so gigantic when I got there, was now filled. Passed the dance floor, in the back corner, stood a roped off area where security guards were present. In the DJ booth was DJ Toro. I am also a fan of his. I listen to the rollout at 5 pm on 92.3 and converse with him through twitter. So I patiently waited. I tweeted to Drita a few times that I was there and waiting. She responded that she was on her way. They said she would arrive around 11 pm. At that time I left my friend at the bar, she had no problem getting the ear of some handsome guys.

I made my way all the way up to the roped area and planted myself right in front of the security guard. He passed me a look as if to let me know that there was no way I was getting any farther than where I was. I passed him the same look that read, we’ll see about that. I think it was after 12 am when Toro announced that Drita was in the house. Everyone was getting so excited. I made some dance floor friends and we were all yahooing. Then there she comes. Beautiful of course. Biggest smile on her face. She seemed truly happy to be there. She spoke off mike to Toro for a bit and then took the mike and spoke to the fans. Everyone was feverishly taking photos. Since I was front and center, I was getting shoved closer and closer to the forbidden area. I took my phone out and snapped photos of Drita. I got the attention of Toro and asked him to tell Drita that I was there and that she would recognize my twitter name.

After that everything was a blur. It was then I caught a glimpse of the real star. I couldn’t believe it. I gasped. There she was. The brains behind the show. I called out her name and she came directly over to me. She thought I looked familiar. She was amazed I recognized her. We chatted and she gave that security guard the look of, its ok let her up here. And up I went, thru the roped off forbidden area. I sat on a couch next to Jennifer Graziano. Five feet away from me was Drita who sat talking, kissing, taking photos and trying to update her twitter. She got up walked over to me and said "its finally nice to meet you.” I don’t know if Toro gave her the message or if Jenn mentioned something to her, but I was speechless. I gave her a hug and we took photos together. And of course I couldn’t miss the opportunity to take a picture with Jenn. “Ugh,” she said, “I hate photos,” but she obliged. It was a lot of fun being in the circle of someone you admire. I had a great time and just sat there and soaked it all in. The funniest part was when all the fans on the other side now wanted to take my photo. I guess they thought I was someone. Well, at this time, my friend, who I definitely left flat, wanted to go home. I said goodbye to Jenn and thanked her for being so nice. That night I left with the reassuring feeling in my heart that being a true Mob Wives fan was certainly worth it.

Carmela's Meeting With Karen and Ramona:

I’ve been loyal to watching the Mob Wives from the beginning. I have my favorites. We all do. Then there’s a point in time where, somehow for some reason, you cross the line and your old favorites become has beens. I was never really thoroughly stargazed over Karen. But, during season 2, she put a starlight in my eyes. So I thought I owed it to myself to go to a book signing. I arrived very early. I always like to make sure that I am at the center in all the going ons. They had seats set up for the fans, while we awaited the arrival of Karen. We purchased our books and received a list of “not to do's.” They told us where she would be entering, where to stand to take a photo, expressing not side by side. They explained that we were to get our book signed and exit through the conveniently located door 6 feet from where Karen was to be seated. Well, I didn’t take this lightly. Really I said? So as I sat down and waited, I hooked up to twitter.

Well, guess what? Lots of tweeting was going on about there being a special guest coming with Karen. I said to myself, who can that be? Well twitter has no secrets and Ramona tweeted a clue. Wow, I said to myself, Karen and Ramona together. How lucky am I? So I tweeted Ramona and told her I was there and, by any chance, could she talk to that big bodyguard who thought he was going to escort me right out of there after signing my book. We sat and waited. This particular signing was being filmed so I was thinking that was why there were so many rules they were trying to lay down. Well they arrived. Ramona comes in first. Gorgeous to say the least. How four children came out of that body one can only wonder. But what struck me right away was the fire in her eyes.  She scoped the room and remained so calm. And then in walks Karen. She can’t believe the large audience there. She seemed choked up. Ramona sat down with us and Karen did a question and answer session.  Can you even wonder how brave this girl is, after all she’s been through?

We were all given numbers and were told to go up in that number order for a photo and signing. Well you could have thrown that list of rules right out the window. Karen and Ramona put everyone at ease: the fans, the security and the camera men. Ramona even told me not to worry, I could sit in her seat and stay after my book was signed. I gave up my number and was one of the last to get signed. I chatted with Ramona, she even signed my book near her picture. I asked her where her next appearance would be, and she invited me to come to her birthday party at Sugar. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it, but I was elated. I don’t know if was a public invite, but none the less, she asked me.  I took photos with each of them. Not on the dotted line either. I realized at this moment these two girls were true friends. I stayed till the very end. When I got home and checked my twitter I realized Ramona and Karen were off to yet another party and were posting photos. I tweeted to Ramona, “Hey, and I thought you two were going home! I wish I could have come!” And Ramona tweeted back, “next time!” After this night, I am now not only stargazed over Karen, but Ramona also.

REMINDER: Be sure to tune into “Mama’s Boys of The Bronx” on Monday, April 9th on TLC. Carmela will be back here with a recap of the show!

Mob Wives: Someone Has Ramona In Their Mouth

Drita D'avanzo gets her green screen on.
Most of us watch Mob Wives.  Some of us love each and every one of the Mob Wives.  Some of us have our favorites and aren't to fond of a particular Mob Wife or two.  Then there are some who just watch every Sunday in order to confirm their dislike of the women starring in Mob Wives.

Many claim Drita D'avanzo doesn't talk about Ramona.  Some claim Ramona Rizzo is obsessed with Drita and is always the one who is running her mouth. I will add per the sneak peek it appears Carla Facciolo brought up the topic of Ramona.  The way I see things all of the Mob Wives talk about one another on any given Sunday.  The drama along with the women's personalities propels the continued success of Mob Wives.

Anger management seems to be doing wonders for Panic Punch.  I wonder if bowling is good for releasing aggression.

Mob Wives: Drita's Evolution Boxing!

I got an invitation the other day from Evolution Boxing. That is the place where Drita went for her boxing lessons to help reduce her aggression. Seems that someone from Evolution read my blog that questioned the premise that boxing actually doesn't reduce aggressive tendencies, but instead tends to increase them. They seem to think otherwise. In fact they explained that it's not the actual physical act of boxing that reduces aggression, but it's the long term training and state of mind that accomplishes this. However, I politely declined their generous offer to take a lesson with Drita's trainer due to the fact that I am not an aggressive person by nature and therefore, I have no aggression to reduce. But, I do appreciate the fact they read the blog and took time to contact me personally and make this offer.

Just in case you think I am kidding, I have copy and pasted the conversation that was had in Twitter.

I am sure that Evolution Boxing is a fine establishment and it seems to have a good reputation too. I only have one question to pose to Evolution's staff. We all know the boxer, Mike Tyson. I'm sure Mr. Tyson had extensive, long term, professional training in boxing, as well as, disciplining his state of mind so he does not react from anger, and yet Mr. Tyson was always quite aggressive and has a long history of legal trouble due to aggression. We all recall how he bit off Evander Holyfield's ear or the physical abuse his ex-wife, Robin Givens suffered, or the rape of Desiree Washington the Miss Black Rhode Island. I wonder if boxing helped reduce or increase his aggression? Maybe he is the exception to the rule?

Check out their website, if you are so inclined, and even though boxing may not be for me, you might enjoy it.

Mob Wives: Does Boxing Reduce Aggression?

Drita trying to control anger and aggressive tendencies with boxing.

Today’s blog is a lesson in psychology, based on studies, that have focused on whether or not boxing reduces anger and aggression. I researched this primarily because, after taking boxing lessons, Drita still let the first punch fly at Renee’s party. It aroused my curiosity as to whether or not the premise, that boxing would help reduce aggression, was in fact true. What I found out may be helpful to Drita, who now has to answer her daughter’s question about her “fighting history.” I, myself, have suggested anger management, as a solution to her problem, in several blogs. However, as sincere as I am in my wanting to help, I am sure no one has passed my suggestion along to Drita. But Drita needs to know and she, herself, asked on the show, "What do I do?"

I have an answer that may help.

What does the research show? Does letting off steam in the ring help one manage anger and aggression? Well, as I suspected, it showed that boxing, a highly physical contact sport, does not help to reduce aggression. An interesting experiment was conducted in 1999 by Brad Bushman, Roy Baumeister, and Angela Stack and written up in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.  In the experiment, people were manipulated into getting angry. The participants were told to write essays about a sensitive topic which would then be critiqued by others in the group. The feedback was controlled by the experimenter, who assigned very poor comments to the essays to make people upset. The group was then divided into two groups; one who was allowed to punch a punching bag for two minutes and the other group, who did nothing. Afterwards, all the participants had to play a game against an opponent in which they could punish the opponent with blasts of noise. The volume of the noise and the length that it lasted, was used to measure the amount of aggression. They were trying to see if the group that was allowed to punch the punching bag would have less aggression than the group that was not given that opportunity. They found that the results were the opposite of what they expected. The group that was allowed to release their anger on the punching bag actually showed more aggression than those who did not. They determined that punching a punching bag actually reinforces anger and aggression, not reduce it. They recommended that people who are angry, actually go sit alone and meditate to calm themselves down rather than try to vent their anger in an aggressive way.

Hopefully, at some point, Drita will consider an option other than boxing to managing her anger; one that might actually have a positive effect on her behavior. Anger management techniques are known to work; mediation and yoga may be helpful; high level exercise such as running, walking, weight lifting; and various other methods to relieve tension.

Mob Wives: Renee & Drita on Dr. Phil

Renee: I really don't like violence.
Dr. Phil: Well you took to it like a duck takes to water!

Before the airing of Season Two’s premiere episode, Renee and Drita flew out to LA to tape a segment with Dr. Phil called “B-Wars.” Well, that segment aired today and I am going to blog it for you.

Introduction: the show is about women who call themselves the “B” word. “Screaming, cursing, fighting is a typical get together with your girlfriends” on VH1’s Mob Wives. The first question Dr. Phil says he wants to ask Drita and Renee is “What the hell are you all thinking?”  He jokes and says he is sensitive to “hair pulling.”  The mob wives come out later in the show.

Renee and Drita come out to meet Dr. Phil. He describes their fights as “fierce.” He shows a clip of a fight from last season, at Carla’s party, between Renee and Drita.  He asks the women what’s going on with them. What about the hair trigger reaction? They say for the most part they get along and like each other. Renee explains that the confrontation with Carla was an issue over Carla’s boyfriend being disrespectful. He wants to know what they think of the clip. Renee explains the inappropriate touching. Dr. Phil says he understands that, but this was a hair pulling, drag out fight.  An expert explains that the pressures on women today are causing them to take their stress out on each other. Dr. Phil says Mob Wives is as real as it gets. Renee and Drita say it’s real. Dr. Phil says nothing they say can justify this kind of acting out. The expert says they should use their words instead of getting physical. Renee says she tried using words, but once someone puts her hands on her then she has to defend herself. Renee says she always feels bad afterwards.

A new clip from the rooftop rumble. Dr. Phil wants to know how they know each other. Drita explains that she has been a friend of Jennifer’s for a very long time. Drita says she has been fighting from her earliest memory.  He asks if they worry about being role models for young women and children. The shows are making it seem that fighting is normal for women. Drita says most of her fights, 90% of them, were about fighting bullies in school for other kids, like the one in the wheelchair. Renee says she doesn’t like physical violence and Dr. Phil shoots back, “well you sure took to it like a duck to water.”

Dr. Phil explains, the more secure you are in yourself, the less sensitive you are to what other people say and do. If we know who we are, we don’t feel the need to defend that all the time. We don’t need people to approve of us to feel good about who we are. Renee says, she has an insecurity problem and it might translate the wrong way. She says she knows she is a very nice and giving person. Renee says she is sweet like “sugar,” but that is not the way she come across and wants to change some things about herself.

The fight scene from the balcony is shown from season two. Renee sighs. Dr. Phil says “what the hell was that?” Dr. Phil is shocked, and says he is tuning in, he has to see what going on. Renee says that was her birthday party and they ruined it.

Closing remarks. Thank you to the guests, Renee Graziano and Drita D’Avanzo

Mob Wives: Drita Drunk?

Our long awaited mother show starts off with a motherf*cking big bang.  Chiara, Harley, Underboss and I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for months and months for our beloved show's return.  The Mob Wives cast & JustJenn Productions did not disappoint.  Chiara just dropped her Mob Wives recap.  I enjoyed reading it.  I disagree with her theory on Drita being set up.  I'll digress.  For now I'm going to share what irked me the most during Mob Wives season 2 premiere.

The boxing training scene with Drita telling her trainer she wants to punch the other woman.  I am not a Drita fan.  I will never be a Drita fan.  As a matter of fact if I were in a donut shop and Drita D'avanzo was there.  I'd order my chocolate bar, not say "Hi" and keep it moving.  I suffer Drita because she is cast in one of my favorite shows.  Now there are thousands of Drita D'avanzo fans who love her beauty, hot temper and tough girl bravado.  I am happy for all the Drita fans.  Doesn't mean I have to like her.  I think she's a liar.  She lied to millions of fans season 1 when she came up with a way to divorce Lee D'avanzo & save face.  Yeah, I wrote it.  And I stand by it.  What she doesn't want you to know is that she didn't just find out that Lee was cheating.  She's revealing to all of you that she's lying because she can't keep her story straight.  First it was she found out conveniently early in 2011 that he had an affair with a hair stylist.  The hairstylist recognized one of her children and called out to the child.

1. We are to believe hot tempered Drita just sat there not tossing curlers & scissors  and punching Lee's alleged side dish?

Moving along later that season it was girls calling the house.  One girl apparently had too much information, so she knew it was true.

2. How many years has Lee been locked up?  Girls are still calling the house?

3. Which is it; girls calling or the salon bust?

Let's go back to the salon lie.  Season 1 Drita claimed to Carla Facciolo that the salon owner had no idea that Lee D'avanzo was married.  The salon owner made it clear no one knew the guy with tribal tattoos was married the way Drita regurgitated the story.

4. So why is Drita spewing nonsense about wanting to punch the other woman Season 2 of Mob Wives?  If K_________ didn't know, where is her guilt?  Isn't she just a young woman who allegedly got involved with Drita's lying, convicted bank burglar husband?

5. The hairstylist a.k.a. other woman by the way hadn't worked in the salon Drita allegedly went to in for over a year and half.

What's wrong with saying I don't want to send anymore packages?  What's wrong with saying I want more for myself and my daughters?  Not a d@mn thing, but  I believe Drita has the need to appear justified in her actions.  She never wants to lose face.  Some of her fans are women with their very own loved ones locked up.  Daily, fans complimented Drita on how great, how strong, how ride or die, etc., etc.,... she was for standing by Lee while he was incarcerated.  Well she ain't standing by him now.  How convenient all this pops off when her reality celebrity star is on the rise.

I get why so many people love Drita D'avanzo.  She has a huge personality ripe for reality television.  She's easy on the eyes too.  I hope the Drita fans continue loving their tough girl mob wife.  Sorry I'm just not sipping the Drita Kool-Aid.  I'll stay sober.

By the way, did you all see her clock Ramona Rizzo?  She doesn't miss her Mark does she? *cough cough*  Later on this week, I am going to address my panic punch theory.  And more importantly the Ramona Rizzo interview will be up.

Mob Wives: Drita Goes Euro

So I'm cruising around on the internet; I stumble around a beautiful picture of my least favorite mob wife Drita D'avanzo.  It seems the once upon a time model/ retail artist struck up some poses for Mob Wives fans across the pond.  I'm trying to envision the Grey Poupon man pulling up next to Drita and asking, "Grey Poupon?"

I can hear her saying, "I ate your fucking Grey Poupon."

"I beg your pardon."

"You heard me, I ate it muthafucka.  You gotta problem with that?  Don't make me take off my shoes!"

I can see Mrs. D'avanzo fitting right in over in Europe.  She could even eat crumpets & sip tea with the Queen.  None the less, Drita is a beauty.  And the pictures I viewed are clear proof.  My favorite is the black & white pose.  Which picture do you prefer the color or the black & white?  Let us know your opinion.

Oh Scrooge, Chiara's panties are in a bunch.  Over at VH1 Drita has slipped down to second place in the sexist VH1 Divas outfit poll.  If you like Drita make sure you go show her your support along with Chiara.  I'm voting for Jennifer Hudson. Why is Chiara yelling at me for refusing to vote for Drita?  She's screaming in my ear, "Where is your loyality?  Mob Wives is our show.  You bettah go vote for Drita!  And who the hell is this Jessie J.?"
Chiara's New York accent goes into full throttle when she is pissed.  Frankly I don't know who Jessie J. is, from the pictures I imagine she's a singer.
*evilly laughing*
