Boss Lady: New Show Starring Pia Rizza!

I just woke up to find that Pia Rizza is starring in a NEW SHOW called BO$$ LADY! And guess what? Leah DeSimone is Co-Starring with Pia, as well as, Pia's dear friend Franky Forliano, and daughter, Bella, who we saw on Mob Wives Chicago. The show promises to put the real back in reality and where have we heard that before?

We at the blog could not he happier for Pia Rizza and Leah DeSimone! I always said they were my favorites on Mob Wives Chicago and they were the "cream" that rose to the top! I am thrilled that they will be getting another opportunity to star in a show together. Let's all support them in their new venture, via Twitter and other social media, so that maybe, when Mob Wives season three is over, we will have a brand new show for summer!

Here are a couple of tweets confirming this new development!

Stay tuned for more developments in the up coming months, which I hope to bring you as fast as I hear about them!

GOOD LUCK BO$$ LADIES!

"Cancer Is Reality" Bronx Fund Raiser!

"Cancer is Reality" is something we have all learned in our personal lives. I doubt there is anyone among us who hasn't been personally affected by this disease, either we have had it or have a loved one who is or has gone through it. Just last week I lost someone close to me to this disease. No one is immune.

I am happy to promote events that raise money for this cause. On November 15th there will be a fund raiser sponsored by Krunch Time Fitness, Chip's Gym, and held at LCG Cigar Company (La Casa Grande) at 2344 Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, owned by Paulie Cigars.

Several reality stars will be there, including our Chicago Mob Wives Leah DeSimone and Nora Schweihs, as well as Mama's Boys Chip and Giovanni. I see Teresa Giudice's husband, Joe, will also be present, if you are a fan of Real Housewives of New Jersey. And, I am told the couple of the bottom are Gigi and Carmine, from Jerseylicious. GFella is an Italian hip hop/rap artist.

As we all know, Leah's mother has been battling breast cancer for several months now. Leah said on Facebook:  "I will be attending a Fundraiser in Bronx, New York, "Cancer is Reality" ♥ Help fight like a real women would ♥ my heart to all the hearts of survivors and currently battling this dirty Bitch ♥ " Spoken like a Mob Wife!

I hope you will mark your calendars and attend this event on November 15th, which is for a great cause and, at the same time, meet with some well known reality stars.

Mob Wives Chicago: No Season Two Rest In Peace?

Pouring for the homies of Mob Wives Chicago
Word has been passed down to us that there will be NO season 2 for Mob Wives Chicago.  Right now I really don't want to believe it.  Frankly I can see why with the lackluster numbers & Facebook unfriending drama unfolding during season 1.  In spite of my not really being fond of all the cast members, I wish them all success.  Yes, I am sad for each of the ladies of the Mob Wives Chicago.  A season two would've been great for each of them.  However, I have no doubt most of the women will be just fine.  Nora Schweihs has her Master's Degree & wine to cuddle up next to each night.  Renee Fecarotta has Eye Candy & her pretty daughters.  Leah DeSimone has her hair, eye shadow & most importantly her delightful parents.  Christina Scoleri has her daughter & (I'm sure by now) dish soap.  Pia Rizza has Bella & her survival attitude that will keep them afloat.

Mob Wives Chicago may be as dead as Al Capone.  However, I'll keep hope alive for all the women.  I also am hoping Mob Wives Florida is picked up by VH1 & green lighted for production soon.  I think Kimberly Gambino and her personalities friends would be a treat to see on the small screen.  Rumors are flying around about the casting.  However, once I caught a glimpse of Mrs. Gambino on The Big Ang Show, how could Jennifer Graziano pass up on a Gambino with sex appeal & major personality?

Recently, it's been brought to our attention that the production leak was indeed a hoax.  The author was allegedly written by a young man named Jeff who is no stranger to spending time in jail.  It seems he, if I have the right Jeff, beat the mother of his child breaking her spline.  What a winner!

Rest in peace Mob Wives Chicago, every time I grab an handful of Garret's Popcorn I'll think of the most confusing cast of friends & not really friends ever.  How about that!

NYC San Gennaro Feast All Mobbed Up

San Gennaro Feast!

The San Gennaro brought us some Mob Wives action this weekend. Friday night I was surfing facebook when I came across this poster for WCBS FM 101.1 featuring a visit from Renee Graziano and Big Ang's sister, Janine Detore, on their stage.  Wow! It's been a few years since I made it down to the feast, but I was sure I didn't want to miss this event. I knew Leah was in town and she was surely going to the the feast too.

Crowd!

WCBS 101.1, who features Joe Causi, a radio legend in his own way, was present on stage.  You can catch his radio selections playing in most deli's across town.  He is from Brooklyn and has been a steady rock in radio since the 80's. He teamed up with Vincent Medugno, who is known as Mr. Staten Island, and a close friend of the Mob Wives. I love this guy. I've met him on several occasions and he is full of fun and very talented. We've seen him on one of Big Ang's episodes, DJ'ing at the Drunken Monkey.

Renee and Vincent Medugno

It took me quite a while to make it to the front of that stage, but thanks to "my connections," as Chiara often reminds me, I managed to get front and center to hang out with the Mob Wives group. I got there just in time to hear Renee on stage, but unfortunately missed her singing "Jack the Knife" with Vinny! The evening was full of old-time songs and the crowd just loved it and sang along to every song. It was a bit chaotic and the crowd was shoulder to shoulder. The WCBS stage appeared to be most popular. Frank Russo, bartender at The Drunken Monkey was there also. As crazy and crowded as it was, I managed to get a few pictures. Big Ang's sister, Janine, came up on stage to answer a few questions. She talked about her book and the salon. The sisterly admiration they have for one another just shines when she speaks. They are one great family. I wish I could have stayed longer, but my nephew was ready to hit every food stand. And I, of course, had to seek out homemade italian cheesecake!

Here are some more pictures. Enjoy them!

Mob Wives Chicago: Leah Visits Big Ang!

Leah visits Big Ang today!

Once again Mob Wives Chicago Meet Mob Wives (New York City) and it's so great how they get along. Leah has made her third trip to the Big Apple in the past few months. Yesterday she was at the San Gennaro feast in Little Italy, and today she was visiting with Big Ang and her family for Sunday dinner. There were plenty of pictures posted on Twitter today so we could all share in their wonderful day!

Leah with Big Ang and family

Now this is Sunday dinner! WOW! That was some pot of sauce!

Leah and dad, Wolf.

At San Gennaro yesterday!

Looks like Leah is right at home in her second city, "New Yawk," as she likes to call it. And New York is more than happy to have her here! What else can I say except, "Welcome home Leah! and enjoy your time here."

Mob Wives Chicago: Leah Meets Big Ang

Big Ang and Leah DeSimone

I love Twitter! Thanks to Twitter I can better keep tabs on what is going on with all of our favorite Mob Wives. On Wednesday and Thursday some of the wives were talking about Big Ang's trip to Chicago. They were excited about meeting her. One of the wives is Leah DeSimone. Leah has been supporting her mother through her battle with breast cancer and had to take her to the doctor yesterday. Leah tweeted she hoped her mother would be feeling well enough to meet Big Ang...and her prayers were answered!

Big Ang and Jacquie

Of course we are keeping Leah's mom in our thoughts and prayers throughout this ordeal. We know, if she is anything like Leah, she is going to kick cancer's ass! And, not only did Leah's mom get to meet Big Ang, but her father, Wolf, did too!

Wolf and Big Ang
Wolf looks a little smitten!

Leah managed to spend time with Big Ang for both nights and I was glad to see her having a little fun and relax because she has been under a lot of emotional stress. Leah tweets, "I had the time of my life!"  Maybe Leah can fly in for season two of Big Ang and be on an episode or two? I know New York would absolutely love that!

And for Leah fans who do not have twitter accounts, I managed to find a picture of Leah, as a child, when she was really "daddy's little girl." How cute is this?

Wasn't she adorable?

Mob Wives Chicago: Production Theory, Rumors or Fact?

UPDATE: This is a hoax. It was the work of an individual named Jeff.

Recently an alleged member of Mob Wives Chicago production team reached out to us.  Whenever this happens I get all warm & fuzzy inside because it's usually the good stuff.  An added bonus is they tend to be articulate & refrain from telling us what & how to blog.  They're always smart enough to realize we don't give f*ck what they want.

The informant makes it clear he/she is not a final decision maker.  We are one of three sites he admits to monitoring.  I have a feeling Hollywood Life & Reality Tea are the other two.  The sources goal is either to make us look like complete jackasses, piss off Jennifer Graziano and/or give the Mob Wives Chicago fans & viewers some logical tidbits of information to quiet the social media hysteria running amuk.  We will never truly know.  However, we decided to give you the juice our way.

When you see ... I've omitted information out of respect for certain individuals & the process.  My site, my call and I'm good with it.  If you are not, I suggest you refrain from reading any further.  Everything in orange is the informant's words, not mine.

We were told there were some major obstacles in casting Mob Wives Chicago.  With Mob Wives Jennifer Graziano knew all the players & the dynamics.  She knew who was who on & off paper.  Mob Wives Chicago was a different story.  The informant shares, "With the anchor Mob Wives, we had all the information needed to cast women that were relevant and definitively connected to the "mob". The creator had extensive life knowledge of the people involved and was therefore able to confidently cast those women with an understanding that their stories, connections, and ongoing lifestyles would stand the test of not only the viewers, but perhaps more importantly, the "mob" itself, NOT THE CASE in regards to MWC."

The source also claims there was a direct linkage to "The German" through a family member of one of the Mob Wives of Staten Island.  The other Windy City mob wives were in production's radar by research, inside calls & contacts.  The informant shares, "The problem with that was that the show had already been pitched, accepted, and slated for a season and time slot. This created a scramble to cast the show and begin production."

The informant confirms Nora's claims that she is the one who recommended Pia for the show.  Additional research confirmed Pia's legitimate connections to The Outfit.  Production learned her ties ran much deeper than they believed originally. Pay-dirt!

He/she believes production's 1st misstep was the casting of Christina Scoleri.  I laugh learning this & think, 'Tell me something I don't know.'  He/she states Christina didn't have a job & could meet time requirements.  Christina's father could only be confirmed of having a criminal record. The source continued, "... it was evident that he was a petty thief. This guy may have grown up around and had conversations with "mobsters" but he was not connected to the "mob" by any stretch of the imagination. She claimed that he was a thief and a fence for the "mob". ANYONE who knows anything about the "mob" can easily tell you that the "mob" needs no fence. If they want electronics they don't ask a small time crook to break into cars or homes as his record reflects. The "mob" will roll the whole G*d damned store or better yet, hijack the ship the goods are sailing in on! Needless to say, Christina Scoleri perpetrated a fraudulent story and is not connected with the "mob" by any means whatsoever.  She was actually the last one of two to even be offered a contract as we saw this train wreck coming long before it happened. Our original intention was to only allow her on the show part time, as a supporting cast member. What changed that was Christina's desperation to remain on the show and increase her role, and with it, her paychecks. She was willing to do anything..... regardless of friendship or how it would look for her public image.  Anyone who wonders what I'm talking about with this, just remember how no one could make any sense out of her antagonizing Pia and Nora in the pilot episode nonetheless physically fighting with Pia. She would do anything the production team asked her to do. She had no morals, no loyalty, and no concern for her image. While she served our intended purpose for the season, it is the unanimous view of all involved that she is of no use moving forward. She has no story, she has no connections, she had no job coming into MWC and rest assured she no longer has a job with us either. I mean seriously, the franchise is called MOB WIVES and that denotes an affiliation to the "mob", either directly or through their saturation in the lifestyle. Christina Scoleri has neither."  One has to love the loyalty aspect of people. Go Mob Wives Chicago!  Let's all say ouch together.  Here we go all together 1-2-3:

OUCH!

Christina recommended Leah in order to have a friend to defend her & someone in her corner. "Leah was cast after heavy lobbying by Christina.  Her father, Wolf was a pleasure to work with (as was her lovely mother).... What made a strong case for Leah were her characteristics. We knew that a strong faction of viewers would fall in love with her and we were correct in that assumption. Unfortunately, not enough people tuned in each week for Leah to develop into quite what we expected her to. We like Leah. Everybody wants her to stick around. We are trying to figure out in what capacity...
Renee Fecarotta with Jennifer Graziano

Renee was cast based on her family ties through her uncle for the most part. We dismiss previous claims from a relative that her connection to her uncle is bogus. Believe me we do our research. Any claims that Renee had nothing to do with her uncle are born of personal resentment and do not reflect reality. She also has other "mob" connections, some of which were explored during filming, such as her ex.  Renee has tested well and we have very strong positive feedback on her which gives us many reasons to want to continue working with her. More on that later.

Okay it's later:" Wow this individual has a sense of humor too! The source goes on to tell us Mob Wives Chicago will not be having a reunion, which everyone including Leah's hair knew.  He/she goes on to explain, "... we do not need to rehash much of the failed.... relationships that have caused this show to be more of a hindrance than a path to success for the franchise. This show is NOT done, but this cast as you know it is toast. Christina is axed, bottom line. She has no story and has been an embarrassment on social media. Leah is likely to be a part of a season 2 or other avenues we will explore. Specifically, these avenues will be travelled by Renee and Pia. Aside from Season 2 of MWC, we have options with Renee in regards to Eye Candy (the people love it). We can make a show based entirely on her connections, Eye Candy, and her family life. Viewers loved Renee and we will continue to capitalize on her success."  The source made it clear it's his/her opinion about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow in regards to Ms. Fecarotta.

Sidebar: I have to share I think Renee Fecarotta is a great find for reality television.  She's not my cup of tea per her judgmental ways and attack mode switch on camera & online.  Online she attacked Big T telling him never to contact her daughter again.  He denied ever contacting Giana.  Giana asked her mother to stop.  She did finally!  Weeks later,  Renee attempted to correct Underboss over his parody.  Yes she's a genius.  Then eventually Renee & Giana went full on Twitter attack when we posted about the saint of all saints Octtavio Volpe.  What can I type?  The apple don't fall far from the tree.

The source continues, "Nora is finished. While she was amazing in terms of being completely volatile and provided plenty of comedic relief, she was a terror to work with. Constant whining, endless issues, and a healthy dose of no one having any idea what she was even thinking half the time have left everyone (well almost everyone) with the resolve to end her story and with it, her tenure on MWC. This is where many of you get the notion that the show has been tied up, because we provided an epilogue for Nora's plot-line. Notice however, we really only tied up Nora herself. She's gone, at least in any major capacity moving forward." O-M-G no Nora, how in the hell are we going to do The Battle of the Eyes Two?!

Back to why you're reading, "Pia on the other hand has actually exceeded our expectations. Our viewers loved her. We expected her to be a hit among males, but in actuality Pia tests strongest among females. People look up to her. This is in part due to her story on the show, but more so due to 2 other factors: her accomplishments career wise while the show was airing and after, as well as her being the only star to remain positive on social media. She ignores vulgar displays and talk on Twitter when under attack from Nora and Christina. You know who else was great at that? Drita D'Avanzo and Karen Gravano. "  Now I don't know how long this individual has been on Twitter.  We all know DriZILLA has lied time & time again about us being Ramona & Karen or Karen & Ramona running our site.  And Karen has gone HAM a time or two on Twitter.  I admit neither of them took it to the beyond bitter & dumb levels that Christina did.  So kudos to Drita for now being my second to the least favorite mob wife.  She's moving on up!  The source goes on to share their opinion that image is everything.  They also share we may be seeing a friend of a cast member become a mob wife in the future.  The woman tested very well and her mob ties are indisputable.  They also share we may or may not get to see more of Giana Volpe.  Oh boy I just can't wait! [insert eye roll]
News Flash: Your father plead guilty. It's public record. Thank you!

The source finally wraps it up with the following, "I hope this insight can be of use and relief to at least some fans of MWC and Mob Wives franchise. We understand the need for a better time slot and a better season period aside from summer. This is not by any means an easy issue to resolve. We do take into consideration the competition that this show was up against in season one and will look to slate it better upon its continuation. I mean seriously, the Olympics, Big Brother, BET Awards, Yankees-Red Sox games, and other award shows made it extremely difficult to find our viewer base. Just trust that we know what we’re doing here. We’re pretty good at producing great shows around here. We all know we fell short with season 1 of MWC, but we WILL get it right. Trust."

I don't trust anyone besides Chiara & Underboss.  I don't know this individual from a roach on a food truck.  Hell do I think this is real? Yes.  Would I bet my last $5 bucks on it? No.  I will share the individual is quite astute with great organizational skills when writing.  They suggested we take this information with a grain of salt.  I decided to eat a donut & fart instead.  Let's all hope this information is legitimate and there will be a season 2 of Mob Wives Chicago.  I did try to reach Jennifer Graziano for comment twice.  Neither time did I have a chance to question her about this information.  However, that broad don't be giving up nothing anyways!  *shrugs* She is a busy lady, oh well.

Mob Wives Chicago: Leah's Taylor St. WCIU Interview

Leah is as real as it gets!

Leah was recently at the Italian Fest on Taylor Street and she was interview by WCIU. It's a wonderful little video. Leah is relaxed and talking about the neighborhood she grew up in with her parents. I know there are a lot of Leah fans out there who will love watching this. Also, if you aren't following Leah on Twitter you can follow her @LeahDeSimone.

We, at the blog, send our positive thoughts and prayers to Leah's mom in her fight against breast cancer.

Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Meets Leah in Chi town

You never know who you are going to meet!

Guess who made a trip to Chicago? None other than the popular Real Housewife of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice. Teresa has a new cookbook out for healthy eating and she was in Chicago for a book signing. Teresa got a lot more than she bargained for at the signing.

Leah DeSimone, star of Mob Wives Chicago, went out to Barnes & Noble last night, with some girlfriends, to DePaul University Bookstore in Chicago, in her hometown, to attend Teresa's event. I guess Leah isn't use to the publicity yet because, as she went back out to the car to feed the meter, employees came rushing  out to get her to come back in to meet with Teresa. Leah obliged, but expressed to them that she really didn't want to cut in line. Teresa Giudice, who is currently on RHONJ and recently appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice (and I may add that she did pretty well), has written another cookbook titled "Fabulicious! Fast & Fit."

Leah went in and posed with Teresa and said she couldn't believe the media frenzy. Leah still has a hard time realizing that people are recognizing her. For one, I personally think that even if she wasn't cast on Mob Wives Chicago, her hair alone is a head-turner. Teresa and Leah chatted and took many pictures for the fans.

Teresa and Leah at Dinner

After the book signing, Leah took Teresa downtown to Taylor Street for a tour and dinner. Taylor Street is the Little Italy of Chicago which is famous for its many great Italian restaurants. It sounds like our popular Mob Wife was having some fun.

Please follow me on twitter @carmelacorleone I will be blogging the Big Ang show that premieres July 8th at 9:00 PM ET/8C on VH1

Mob Wives Chicago: Pia & Leah On Morning Riot

Pia and Leah were interviewed yesterday by a local radio station on The Morning Riot. The host, Tony Sculfield, of the show begin by dissing our beloved New York Mob Wives, which I have to say, did not sit too well with me. But, I was very happy when Leah and Pia spoke up and siad “Hey, you’re talkin’ about my friends now.” Cause it’s all in the family and respect and loyalty is what it’s all about! Right?

The questions begin and the ladies are asked about their mob ties, what qualifies them to be on the show? Pia explains her dad was a cop, but was also selling drugs at the same time and running numbers. “He had his hands in everything.” She says he got caught selling drugs and had to resign from the police force. He became a full time bookmaker and was financed by the mob. When his case for selling drugs went wrong, he flipped on the mob and became an informant.

Then they go over to Leah for her family background and she has two words to say, “Stay tuned,” with a big grin on her face. And with that she reveals nothing at all! For our Leah Interview check out: Leah Talks!

For the entire interview watch VIDEO below! You will get a little more insight into their personalities too!

Mob Wives Chicago: Mini Video Cast Profiles

Jennifer Graziano predicted Renee F. would be my favorite, time will tell.
Have I ever told y'all, I love VH1?  To be honest, I'm a flip flopping blogger when it comes to VH1.  I will share today I love them.  Why?  Well because they put up the video cast profiles of the Chicago Mob Wives.

I had chills shoot through my body, I'm that excited!  Months agos I spoke to Jennifer Graziano.  She predicted Renee Ferracotta Russo would be my favorite.  Of course the secretive Mob Wives executive producer didn't mention the blonde by name at the time.   I tell you that woman holds out on me big time. Renee F. shares, "I'm about class, respect and loyalty.  And if you don't show me that then we're gonna have a problem." I have to share my favorite cast profile was Pia's.  It stirred me.  She shared she had to grow up with the stigma of her father being a rat.  We get a glimpse of a dancer working a pole.  We hear Pia Rizza say, "I do what I need to do to take care of myself and my daughter."  I f*cking loved the gritty & dark feel of her clip.  EXCUSE ME JUSTJENN PRODUCTIONS the clips weren't long enough.  15 seconds, really?  Yes I was type yelling at the production team.  I have to concede they are brilliant teasers.

As my husband walked out the door he said, "Hold up let me see that... Christina is the prettiest."  All I can do is shake my head.  Back to the clip, we see an older gentlemen looking like he ate the canary & no ones knows.  I think it's Christina's daddy!  We equally get a glimpse of Nora the daughter of "The German".   I hear Nora is sensitive when it comes to her father & his alleged reputation of being one of Chicago's notorious hit men for the mob.  There is also Leah,  who I refer to as MobSquatch.  I can't help it.  Someone pray for me.  Leah shares, " What you see is what you get."  I see a lot of hair and a tall healthy woman who looks like she's ready to open a can of whoop @ss.

Private note to Leah: Please do not kick my @ss.  I'm a blogger and an @sshole.

The real Bo$$ Lady Jennifer Graziano should be truly proud of her accomplishments.  Of course number 1 on her list should be her cutie pie son Justin.  Number 2 having the ability to remain the eye of the storm amongst chaos.  Number 3 having the balls to produce Mob Wives featuring her family, dear friends & Carla too.  I am so excited about a summer watching Mob Wives Chicago.  Chiara will be recapping.  We may even get a male perspective from Tha Underboss.

Mob Wives Chicago allegedly premieres Sunday June 10 on VH1 @ 8 PM.  However, I went to their site and there is a listing stating there will be an airing of Fight Night on Sunday May 27 @ 9 PM.  Nora Schweihs returns home to learn the whereabouts of her father's remains.  For all our diehard Mob Wives readers don't worry your mafia little heads the original Mob Wives series isn't done with us yet.  We have the reunion of all reunions to watch in two parts coming up.  Part 1 of the Mob Wives Reunion season 2 airs Sunday, May 20 @ 8 PM on VH1.

Mama's Boys of The Bronx: Autograph Day

This past Saturday I joined three of the Mama's boys down on Arthur Avenue, to support them on their autograph signing day. Giovanni, Chip and Frankie were in attendance. From my understanding, Pete was ill and Anthony was in California. The boys, just as three old friends who would meet to play stickball, they went over their rules, joined and got comfortable at the pastry shop. Whether these guys are signing autographs or shooting the breeze, it seems always happens here.

Leah and Frankie ;)

Leah with Frankie & Giovanni

The boys were fortunate enough to have spent the last few days with a visit from Chicago mob wife,  Leah De Simone. Chiara blogged about her visit to Arthur Avenue and shared some photos of Leah with the guys. I spoke to Leah a few times, and was looking forward to meeting her, but unfortunately she was unable to make it back Saturday afternoon. We shared tweets back and forth and, I can tell you, she is a very funny and upbeat person. I enjoyed listening to the stories the boys had to tell of the hours they spent with her and a good time was had by all.  Leah's sweet and jokester personality made an impression on them and they seemed just thrilled with her as I was. It was so thoughtful to get a phone call from her apologizing that she was running late while shopping. I mean, besides our twitter connection, I’ve never met her, but you can tell that she truly cares about her fans. That’s the way the Mob Wives roll, well most of the real ones anyway. Leah will be back in June and I can assure you I will be ready to meet up with her.

Giovanni. Frankie and Chip

The Mama's boys have a good rapport with the locals, as well as the tourists, that came to shop at the market and noticed them. The support of fans seemed to make them very happy. TLC has abruptly cancelled the show and it was very disappointing to cast and fans. Everyone wished them well and most of us are crossing our fingers and hoping another network will pick up the show. These guys are trying very hard to keep the Mama's Boys in everyone’s mind. If a network doesn’t pick them up soon, I’m afraid their notoriety may fade.

Hand rolling cigars

A few other highlights of the day was watching skilled laborers hand roll cigars at La Casa Grande, in the market. Paul Di Silvio, who runs the shop, also filmed a short  video clip called "Light em up Fridays," which is an informative video about cigars and the pick of the week. It can be found on youtube. The word is that Leah filmed with the boys. Another memorable moment was my meeting Aunt Gina. She was on her way to a party and came to pick up cookies and pastries. She’s a delight and I will definitely do a complete interview with her if, or should I say when, the show gets back on the air. Also there, for moral support, was Larry. He’s the guy Chip has been training and was found eating pastries on a bench on one of the episodes. Today, Larry stuck to eating fruit and says he’s still training with Chip.  And lastly, after a full day of watching the promise these boys have in themselves, I wish only that the future has nothing but good fortune for them. They certainly deserve it, the boys and their mama's.

Mob Wives Chicago: Leah DeSimone in NYC

Leah visiting a local cigar place on Arthur Avenue

Leah DeSimone, of Mob Wives Chicago, is really in New York this time...no practical joke! You'll never guess where her first stop was? It was on Arthur Avenue, in the Bronx, home of the Mama's Boys of The Bronx! She tweeted some pictures for us and she looks like she fits in with the boys and the locals, in this very Italian neighborhood. Leah seems to really be enjoying herself in the short time she has been here already. We are keeping an eye on Leah and her goings and comings and let you know what else she has been up to while she is here visiting. Stay tuned! And remember, Mob Wives Chicago premieres in June!

Here are Frankie and Leah!

Mob Wives Chicago: Leah & Christina In NYC

Christina Scoleri and Leah DeSimone

What would we do without Twitter? I have no clue, but hot off the tweets of Chicago Mob Wives Leah and Christina, I found this picture of the two of them headed to New York City yesterday. No one asked why and they didn't volunteer any information, but they sure seemed excited about their trip. Don't they look great in the above picture? Are they wearing leather pants? Anyway, I did try to get some information as to why they are here, but haven't heard back. If I do I will update this blog or start a new one. Stay tuned!

Just last week a member of the Mob Wives Chicago cast, Renee Fecarotta, flew in to New York City for a little work and a lot of fun. She brought her beautiful daughter, Giana and her lovely niece Lexi. She met up with the Staten Island wives and they all seems to have a great time partying the night away at the Greenhouse last weekend.

PRACTICAL JOKE! Leah and Christina are NOT in New York! Apparently we have learned something first hand about Leah...she is a PRANKSTER and got me good and it's not even April FOOL's Day! Oh well, it was a great picture and I got a good laugh of the day out of it in the end.

Mob Wives Chicago: Leah DeSimone’s Interview

I was fortunate to be able to catch up with Leah DeSimone of Mob Wives Chicago for an informal interview. I know are readers want to get a feel for who is going to be in the cast of the new show. I can tell you that I really enjoyed chatting with Leah. She was very open and straight forward with her answers and had me laughing at times. I think she is going to bring a lot to the show…but let’s get to her interview!

Hi Leah, this is Chiara from Mobwives Blogspot. How are you?
Hi Chiara, I’m good, how are you.

I’m fine, thanks. I just have some questions for an informal interview so fans can get an idea of who you are.
Ok, sounds good.

Great. Have you watched season one and two of Mob Wives?
I watched season one. All my friends call me Drita. When I’ve been in the middle of telling them a story, they would say, “Dri, calm down.”

Which of the Mob Wives do you think you relate to the most?
I think I’m a combination of Drita and Big Ang. I mean, I won’t start any trouble, but I won’t think twice about using my tongue, which is wicked and deadly. I don’t have to use my fists to get my point across. I say what I mean, and I mean what I say.  Respect me and I’ll respect you. I am very much about respect, loyalty and honor and that’s how I grew up. As far as being like Big Ang, I am a mediator. I don’t want trouble and I don’t start trouble. I say if you can’t get along then just don’t be around each other.

Did you know any of your cast members before the show started?
Yes I did. I grew up with Christina. She was friends with my older brother and is two years older than me. I’ve know Pia for about 20 years. She was a bartender where my friends and I used to go and she always gave us VIP service. Whenever we said we were going, she would always have a table ready for us.

How did you meet Jennifer Graziano?
Jennifer flew in to meet me when I was shooting a scene for Mob Wives Chicago. It was my second time filming. Everyone liked me and I was hired six days later.

Was it a difficult decision for you to join the cast of Mob Wives Chicago?
No, not at all. My family felt that I would be an asset to the show and told me to do my best and just be myself.

Is there going to be much drama on Mob Wives Chicago?
Drama? No.

Without revealing too much, do you have any issues with anyone on the show?
The issues I had were prior to the show’s existence, and they will come out.

What would you say is the difference between Mob Wives Chicago and the original show?
The cast members. We all have different personalities.

Are you married or have children?
No, I’m single.

Well that’s good. What I mean is that you don’t have to deal with the issue of husbands or boyfriends being incarcerated.
That’s true.

Will we be seeing any of your family members on the show?
Yes, you will be seeing some of my family members on the show.

Is there anything you want viewers to know about you before they see the show?
Just that I’m the real McCoy. I’m feel I’m no different than anyone else, rich or poor, famous or not. I truly believe that. I’m humble and I will stay humble. I’ll always be me. I could be a millionaire and I’d still go to Walmart.

The Mob Wives got a lot of criticism from the residents of Staten Island for being on a show that glorifies the “lifestyle” or makes Italians look bad? Have you experienced any negative reactions in Chicago?
Yes. The Italian American Club said we disgraced Italians. I don’t feel my story is disgracing any part of Italian culture. I was raised by my father and grandmother. My mother and father didn’t get along. My mother lived down the street and my father had custody of me. I was always able to see my mother. My father was very strict. He raised me with respect and loyalty. I was taught to be responsible and not to disgrace the family. I never did anything wrong. I don’t regret my childhood. We didn’t have timeouts when I was a kid, we just got beatings. I’m glad my father was strict and I thank him now. God only knows how things would have turned out if he hadn’t been strict.

How would you describe your personality?
I would say I am very comedic. I’m very true to my word. I’m honest, funny, and witty.
I can be very cocky. Very cocky. I don’t take any sh!t. I think before I speak, but if I don’t like you, I’ll tell you to your face. I’m down to earth and open minded.

Can you tell us a special childhood memory you have of you and your father?
Yes I can. When I was a little girl and lived with my father and grandmother, I couldn’t wait for my father to come home. Every day I would sit looking out the window for him. When he pulled up and saw me, he would wave to me to come out. I would run through the house and get my shoes on. Then I would go with him to the dice games. He was the best dice player! All the men would put money in my jeans and they used me for good luck. I thank God every day that my father is here.

Well, Leah that’s all I have for now. I want to wish you good luck with the show. It was really a pleasure talking to you.
Thank you. I enjoyed talking to you too, and call me if you need anything.

Thanks, I will. Have a good night.
You too.

Leah was a lot of fun to talk to. She kept throwing in old Sicilian expressions into our conversation. Some I knew, some I didn’t. But I loved all of them and I asked her if she would be sprinkling some of them into the show. She said yes! That made me laugh. That just gives me one more thing to look forward to. And, again, kudos to Jennifer Graziano for what I think is another awesome cast member to her new show!
