Mob Wives: Season 6 Welcomes Back Carla!

Carla always loved summer and she can take the heat!

Last time we saw Carla she walked into a party hosted by Renee and Drita was tripping on her own feet, dripping with guilt, to get out of her company. Carla has not been on Mob Wives since season three ended, except for that grand entrance that will forever be one of the highlights of season 5. Her fans have been begging for her to return since she left, and after a "taste" of the Philly chicks, so was I. And our prayers have been answered, Carla is back for season 6! All the original girls are back and hopefully to stay.

Carla has been keeping busy taking care of her children and tending to and building her two business ventures, Carla Facciolo Soaps and Facciolo Wine & Prosecco. She seemed to take her departure from Mob Wives in stride and worked on keeping fit at the gym and making money. When we did recently see her on the show, she was insulted by Drita's rude exit and yet she kept it civil. Even in interviews after that scene, Carla seemed to be in the dark as to why Drita dropped her as a friend. When Drita said, "We aren't friends like that any more" and "Talking to Carla is like talking to a mothball," Carla seemed totally perplexed by it. So maybe she is returning to season 6 to get some long overdue answers? Answers about their "friendship" and answers about the pact Drita broke with her and the other ladies, Karen and Ramona. I'd can't wait to hear that myself.

As for Season 6, Carla has dropped little hints as to what may be going on behind the scenes. Hints like:

and

More quotes about the TRUTH!

So let's all sit back, like Carla advises, and wait for the truth . . . the truth that Karen always stands behind . . the truth that Ramona says will rise to the top, like cream . . . the truth we are all waiting for in Season 6!

Welcome Back, Carla!

Mob Wives: Season 6 Is Karen Calling Out Drita?

Let me start by saying I love Karen's tweets. I can't swear I know exactly what she is mysteriously saying, but I try to read between the lines. This past Thursday Karen tweeted the above picture for #TBT. A little blast from the past. What you can't see is Renee is standing to the left of Karen and was cut in the edit. I have been studying this picture to see if there is a blog there. When I asked Karen she tweeted me I could get 5 blogs out of this picture. So here's my interpretation, but I have written about this before. At the end of season three, these four mob wives made a pact to stick together and ask for a raise. The show was doing well, and they felt they deserved more money. I happen to agree. Their agreement was, from what I have deciphered, that they all stick together and not return to work without more money. Well, the long and short of it is that Drita ended up selling out the others and negotiating her own deal. There were plenty of hard feelings at the time and probably still are. Fans of Drita refused to blame her and made excuses that she had a family to feed. To them I say so did the other three who are all single mothers, unlike her. So I have no sympathy for Drita, who not only doesn't know the meaning of the word "friendship," she doesn't know what "loyalty" means either. We've seen it time and time again.

So what is Karen saying with the tweeting of this picture? Well I am going to speculate that this is going to be part of season six's storyline. After all, Karen and Carla have a legitimate beef with Drita on two counts. First she blew them off as friends and then she betrayed them in business. Now, Ramona also has suffered from this betrayal. Ramona has had Drita's flip-floppin' number from day one. She only tolerated Drita for Karen's sake. She told us early on, in an interview, that we would see Drita's true colors and the truth would rise to the top like cream. I would not be surprised if Ramona came back for a little sitdown about this betrayal with the other two girls. However, I have to say that is wishful thinking on my part as I would love to have Ramona back. Now here is something not too subtle that was just tweeted last night by Karen:

Could Karen be referring to Drita?

We just posted a little twitter exchange between Karen and Drita in a blog, well not exactly between them because Drita has everyone blocked, including her own cast members and Jenn Graziano. But someone shared with Karen what Drita was tweeting and Karen responded (see highlighted link). This latest picture and message may be about the betrayal of the pact they made. Drita isn't going to want to hear the truth and the way she ran out of the room when Carla showed up last season tells me that she is guilty. Karen is all about the truth, so we know it's going to get out one way or another. Meanwhile, one of the new cast members, Marissa, is also talking about honesty the same day as Karen. Coincidence?

Sounds like something Karen could have written?

I think things are definitely heating up in Season 6 and hopefully it will spill out on Twitter for a glimpse of things to come. What do you make of all this?

Mob Wives: Drita Breaking Code of Silence?

"Lady Boss" Drita is tweeting

Drita wasn't at the Hamptons with the other girls, but she has been sharing her thoughts on Twitter and maybe a little bit more? Drita has remained friends with Alicia since her departure after season four. And not long ago Drita tweeted something to Alicia which has us thinking that Alicia may be making an appearance or more on season 6. If this is true, I can see why season 6 may even top season 5 with Karen's comeback. Just check out this tweet

Alicia never said anything about returning to Mob Wives. In fact, if anything, Alicia has made it clear she isn't coming back. I suspect she doesn't want to have a sitdown with Karen over what she said in season four. But, maybe they made Alicia an offer she couldn't refuse?  Drita is either pulling our legs and Alicia isn't returning OR she just leaked a bombshell. Time will tell. Meanwhile, Alicia recently posted a picture of herself with Big Ang at LaScala Restaurant in Philly with a tweet:

"Reunited and it feels so good."
(for dinner or on the show?)

And then Drita gets a little personal about Jenn and her co-workers when asked a question about her being the target this season.

Hmmm, sounds like a recipe for drama!

And finally Karen's response:

I hope Drita spends more time on Twitter and drops a few more juicy details about season 6. One thing is clear, there is no love lost between Drita and Jenn or the original girls. Maybe Drita should move to Philly?

Mob Wives: Karen's Cousin New Cast Member or Guest?

Who is between Carla and Karen at the Hamptons?
Oh, it's Karen's cousin, Frances!

Everyday there is something new going on with Mob Wives. Bloggers and Fans all have their eyes open looking for any clues they can get about the cast of season 6.  I have been snooping around myself studying pictures and digging for any information I can blog about. After finding Marissa Jade and Brittany Fogarty are the newest cast members, I saw there was another young lady in the mix at the Hamptons. My internet search lead me to find out that she was Karen's cousin, Frances. Did cousin Frances just go along with Karen for the filming or is she part of the storyline and cast? If she was just there to enjoy a getaway, she managed to get herself into a few pictures thanks to the camera crew. Here are a couple more:

Frances and Brittany were getting along very well!

A couple of pictures of Karen with her cousin, Fran
and the proof

And there you have it! I will see what develops over the next few days and weeks. If Fran keeps showing up in and around filming that will satisfy me she will be appearing in season 6. Personally, I would love seeing another cast member with real mob ties on the show! What do you think?

SHOUT OUT to  for pursuing this developing news item.

Mob Wives: Season 6 Love Majewski in Guest Role?

The beautiful Love Majewski

Love was a main character in season three of Mob Wives. Ever since then, fans have been begging for her return. Love grew up with Ramona and Karen in Staten Island and has certainly lived the "lifestyle" through many of the men she has dated over the years. Back in season three, Love had a bone to pick with Carla and the whole season's storyline lead up to a confrontation. Whatever happened, on or off the set, Love was not invited to the Reunion Show that year and was not asked back for another season (Season 4 was a mess anyway with those Philly chicks). Now I am not one to give a lot of credibility to Wikipedia. I have no idea who updates their articles and if what they add is fact or wishful thinking. It's just impossible to know and when I try to verify information no one seems to be talking. So for now I will let you know what I know, when I know it. According to Wikipedia, Love is coming back as a guest in season 6. I am hopeful, but skeptical because Carla is on this season. However, it is always possible that Love will be filming with other Mob Wives at some point. Last time I blogged about Wikipedia's information Jenn Graziano said it was wrong, and yet she wouldn't "correct" the misinformation for me. So this news could be fact or fiction at this point.

I have also read that Gnat says she has been asked back for this season and have not been able to verify that. As you can see Wikipedia has her still in the main cast. What her role will be is beyond me. The two newest additions, Marrisa Jade and Brittany Fogarty, are young and beautiful and I look forward to seeing what they bring to the table. Brittany is a "mob daughter" whose parents have had serious mob ties. Both women were in the Hamptons this past weekend filming with Karen, Renee and Carla.

Mob Wives: Brittany Fogarty Second New Addition?

Brittany Fogarty, the blonde between Karen and Marissa

Speculative SCOOP! I am tired of asking Jennifer Graziano for crumbs concerning season 6 of Mob Wives, so I went out and got myself a loaf of bread! A couple of days ago I got wind of a possible new addition to the cast, Marissa Jade, and have looked into her biography to fill everyone in. As you can see from the above photo, Marissa is in the Hamptons filming with the cast, so it's safe to speculate she will be in season 6. But, I noticed the tall, beautiful, blonde woman standing next to Marissa and wondered who is she and what is she doing there? After doing a little research, I believe she is Brittany Fogarty, daughter of Andrea Giovino, from I Married A Mobster. (Links to blogs on Andrea Giovino will be posted at the end of blog.) We have done several blogs on Ms. Giovino because of her husband, John Fogarty, and her own involvement with the mob. If this is Brittany Fogarty (and I believe it is), she is a legitimate "mob daughter." Here is a nice picture of mother and daughter . . .

Andrea Giovino and Brittany Fogarty

Besides being at the Hamptons for this fun filled weekend of filming, Brittany seems to be hanging out with "the" Mob Daughter of all mob daughters, Karen Gravano. Check this out:

A little drink between "mob daughters"

I think, based on these photos, there is something to this theory of mine. Brittany is also a model and what her role will be in Mob Wives, if she is indeed part of the cast, is beyond me. Here is an excerpt from an interesting interview that Brittany and her mother, Andrea Giovino, had with Joy Behar which aired August 2nd, 2011 on CNN. At the time Brittany was using her mother's last name and since then has gone back to using her father's.

*****

BEHAR: OK. Now Brittany, you were born into mob life, as well? Right? How old were you when your father went to jail?

BRITTANY GIOVINO, DAUGHTER OF MOBSTER JOHN FOGERTY: I was about eight months old when my father went to jail.

BEHAR: So you never really grew up with that, but your mother was a mobster at the time or not?

B. GIOVINO: Yes. Well, my father went to jail when I was eight months old, and then we moved and got relocated to Pennsylvania when she got arrested when I was about -- almost 2. So I mean, I was too young to know anything of -- I mean, I have no memory of any of that.

BEHAR: So is it shocking that your mother was a mobster?

B. GIOVINO: I wouldn`t say shocking, just because it was so openly talked about in our house. There was never like any secrets. I mean, we`ve always been so open with each other that I just kind of grew up hearing about all of it. So the stories were just always normal to me.

BEHAR: But your father is in witness protection now?

B. GIOVINO: Right.

A. GIOVINO: Yes.

BEHAR: So do you have any connection to your dad?

B. GIOVINO: He came back when I was about 11 years old to try and have a relationship with me and my brother. And we have somewhat of a relationship, but I think after like, from eight months old to 11 years old, I think that`s such a --

BEHAR: Crucial.

B. GIOVINO: Crucial stage to bond with your children, and he wasn`t there. And then it`s like 11 years old, he shows up on your doorstep, hi, I`m your dad. Well, I was like, what, you`re my dad? OK, hi, dad. But I think the years of just bonding were just --

BEHAR: Lost.

B. GIOVINO: Gone, yes.

end of excerpt. You can find the whole transcript at CNN

*****

So there you have it!  What do you make of this? Is Brittany Fogarty in the cast for season 6?  Until I see anything to the contrary I am leaning towards a big yes! Now my head is spinning with all the possibilities for storylines!

Mob Wives: Filming in the Hamptons?

Following all the mob wives on Twitter and Instagram can be quite challenging. They "act" like they don't want to give away any "secrets," but they keep posting pictures and enigmatic tweets. As far as I can tell, I am convinced that Marissa Jade is a new cast member in Season 6 of Mob Wives. She is spending too much time hanging out with "the girls" to be anything else. Here are a few pictures of this weekend at the Hamptons, where they are apparently filming without Drita or Gnatalie.

Carla and Karen making the most of their weekend

I'll update this blog as the weekend progresses if they post anything of interest. There are some rumors circulating which I can't verify. However, according to an anonymous commenter, Marissa's boyfriend allegedly used to be on the the Springville mob farm team with Lee D'Avanzo. Lee and Marissa's boyfriend are allegedly good and longtime friends. That may be the connection that brought Marissa to Jenn's attention. Stay tuned for the latest developments!

Making Of The Mob: Recap "A Rising Threat," Ep 104

Dewey and Eunice Carter

Lucky Luciano orders the hit on Dutch Schultz to get Thomas Dewey to back off from the mob. The most uncontrollable gangster is killed, and the threat to the New York mob is elminiated. By 1935, Luciano and his crew are living the high life and making the modern equivalent of over a hundred million dollars a year.

The mob begins to expand. Meyer Lansky revolutionizes the gambling rackets inventing the first modern casinos by transforming low-rent gambling dens into high-class establishments. Vito Genovese's heroin racket pulls in millions of dollars a year, but he decides to diversify into poker games which are fixed in his favor. He lures in unsuspecting businessmen, but makes sure he always wins. Bugsy Seigel makes sure the money is collected and that the mob's authority is understood. As a member of Murder, Inc., he carries out the orders sent down by the commission. Frank Costello keeps the authorities at bay using his connections with corrupt politicians and law enforcement to make sure business runs smoothly. They paid off politicians. Lucky Luciano was a creative genius who understood how to run a business.

Luciano meets a showgirl that catches his eye. They begin seeing each other.Luciano moves into a residential suite at the Waldorf-Astoria, the City's fanciest and most expensive hotel. He begins to settle down and build a life with his new girlfriend, a 20-year-old Broadway dancer named Galina "Gay" Orlova.

Luciano decides to diversify his own operation by taking advantage of the illegal business of prostitution. He wants a cut of the brothels. He streamlines the prostitution business. He soon has a citywide network of 200 brothels,  madams and prostitutes paying a percentage to the Mafia. He is making 12 million a year, the modern day equivalent is 200 million. Lansky advises Luciano against his dirty business. He tells them these girls get diseases, they need doctors. Luciano is annoyed. So Lansky asks him if he is okay dealing with all these drug addicted women who would turn him in for some heroine? Or an army of pimps who would sell him out? He tells Lucky he is risking everything they have built. Luciano ignores the warnings of his trusted friend. Within months he's living a double life, spending days with his girlfriend and nights at his brothels. His favorite brothel is run by a madam named Cokey Flo.

Prosecutor Thomas Dewey has named Luciano his number one target for years. Luciano's rackets are so well organized that bringing him down is nearly impossible, but Luciano is about to play right into his hands. Dewey brings in an ambitious young investigator named Eunice Carter, an assistant district attorney and the first African American in New York City to serve in that capacity. Carter quickly discovers that more than half the city's prostitutes are connected by the same bail bondsmen, a known criminal with ties to the mob, and the same attorney. It's enough of a break for Dewey to bring in a booker tied to Luciano's prostitution ring, Vincent Pastore, but the questioning leads to a dead end. Pastore refuses to break the mob's code of silence and swears he has never seen Luciano before. Lansky tries to warn Lucky again that Dewey is coming after him and has half the city council's support. Lucky tells him it's a good thing they have the other half. Lansky tells him he can't buy Dewey, but Lucky answers everybody's got a price.

The wiretap that is the beginning of Luciano's arrest

Carter decides to use the latest technology in wiretapping to try to trap Luciano. Dewey's investigators listen to hundreds of hours of calls, and finally hear a booker mention Luciano by name. This gives Dewey the evidence he needs to issue a warrant. Dewey organizes a citywide raid on Luciano's brothels, arresting dozens of prostitutes and madams, but he fails to find Lucky. Lucky escapes. Dewey interrogates one prostitute. Dewey tells her he has a long list of charges against her which he is willing to expunge for information on Luciano. She reluctantly agrees to cooperate. Dewey sends his people out to find Luciano no matter what it takes.

In order to avoid arrest, Luciano takes his girlfriend Gay, to Hot Springs, Arkansas, the perfect hideout for mobsters. There the corrupt police force has transformed the small town into a mob haven, filled with casinos and gamblers. Dewey issues a nationwide manhunt. Luciano feels safe, but has the misfortune of bumping into a New York detective on the street, who recognizes him and brings Luciano into custody. The most powerful gangster in America has finally been arrested.

Luciano doesn't want to go to trial in New York, and feels he has a better chance of bribing someone in Arkansas. Luciano uses his mob connections to keep himself in the Arkansas jail. He calls Frank Costello, who assures him they are calling in all their political favors. The bribes pay off. The local sheriff, paid off by the mob, refuses to hand Lucky over to Dewey. From a jail cell in Arkansas, Luciano and his gang continue to run their rackets. Vito Genovese continues his heroine operation. Meyer Lansky is overseeing the largest casino racket in the country. Costello keeps using his connections to keep Luciano out of Dewey's reach. And Lucky is still in full control of his empire.

Dewey decides to put pressure on Arkansas officials. He takes his case to the media and names Luciano public enemy number one. He gets the press involved and accuses Arkansas authorities of being afraid to release him into his custody. Luciano becomes exposed nationwide as a notorious gangster. To counteract Dewey's negative attack, Luciano launches his own press campaign denying any and all connections to prostitution. The media war goes on for days. Luciano believes he will be released, it's only a matter of time. However, Dewey's press campaign has paid off.

Dewey orders a team of heavily armed state troopers to Hot Springs to force Luciano to surrender and to take him back to New York on April 4th, 1936. Luciano tries to bribe the cop taking him back to New York with $10,000. It doesn't work. Lucky gets out on bail and meets with his lawyers and his crew. Luciano has just days to prepare for a trial facing charges of forced prostitution. They are worried that nothing will stop Dewey. Dewey has spent three years building his case against Luciano and now, on May 13, 1936, they come face to face in the New York State's Supreme Court. The prosecution of Luciano was the first time a high ranking mafia boss was facing trial in a courtroom.

Thomas Dewey launches into his case by calling a prostitute to take the stand. She testifies that plenty of girls who talked got burned with cigarettes, tongues cut. She says she would see 15 to 20 men a day. Another prostitute testifies she didn't even know what heroine was and that at first it was free and then it wasn't free any more. Dewey calls 68 witnesses. The jury appears to be outraged. Luciano is unphased. He believes it will take more than the testimony of prostitutes to take him down. Then Dewey calls Florence Brown to the stand. She says she is called Cokey Flo because she likes to use cocaine. She says she gets her cocaine from different sources and, when pressed by Dewey, she points to Lucky Luciano as one of her sources. Dewey asks if this cocaine was a gift or a token of Luciano's generosity? She answers, not exactly. She adds, "He knew I was an addict, he knew it was my weakness, so he used it to control me and my girls . . . he said he wanted to run whorehouses like grocery stores . . . people come in, they pay for the merchandise, they leave happy. He wanted to get as many customers in and out as quickly as possible." Things are looking good for the prosecution, but Luciano is determined to make a come back. Against his lawyer's advice, Luciano decides to take the stand in his own defense. A move that could destroy everything.

Mob Wives: Season 6 New Addition, Marissa Jade?

Marissa Jade newest cast member of Mob Wives?  What could this be about?  Will she be the new model for Renee's Mob Candy business?  So many questions and still no answers from the "top." I did notice there was a picture posted on Marissa's instagram of Renee and Karen, but it's been removed, hmmmm.

"Destiny" the Queen of Thieves

And who is this Marissa Jade?  She is an up and coming actress and model. More than that, she is the muse for the comic "Destiny," about a thief. "Destiny is a very wealthy, creative, sly, sexy thief from New York," Jade said of her character. "She sets up the mafia in the midst of their heists. In the process of them going in to do the job, she gets them pinched by the cops. When the cops come in to arrest them, she then comes in to steal all they were attempting to steal for herself to live the life of luxury." And they are trying to make this comic in to a movie in which Marissa would play the lead role. (Link)  Well at least her comic book character has some mob connections, but what abut Marissa? And what will be her role in Mob Wives? Who knows, still waiting for Jennifer Graziano to tell me something besides "Season 6 is going to be hot."

Read more about Marissa Jade HERE   And check out her Facebook page!

Shout out to my follwer @melissawisdom for tipping me off to this latest bit of information!

UPDATE: I just found a little more information online to confirm Marissa Jade will be on Mob Wives season 6. She is spending time with Renee and Karen. Though a couple of pictures were deleted, and Jenn Graziano calls me sneaky, I did find the tweets.

The next two tweets had the pictures deleted, BUT there
is a connection.

And today . . .

That's enough proof for me!
Hanging with all the girls!
Where's Drita?
