Mob Wives: Karen Gravano's Shade45 Interview

Karen tells it like it is!

Karen was recently interviewed by Shade 45's J. Medina and she had a lot to say about some interesting topics. The hosts declare, right off the bat, that Karen is the "realest" Mob Wife. I know many people feel that way about Karen.

First topic, Drita and the truce. Next, Staten Island residents still don't like the show. Then her New York Times best selling book, Mob Daughter and how the families of her father's "victims" (mobsters themselves), reacted to it. And Karen in is in negotiations for a movie deal about the book too. Karen explains a little about what happened in Arizona with the ecstasy ring. She talks about Dave and how they are both working on things separately, he in Arizona and she in New York.

Back to Drita and the rapping, what's the deal with that? Karen doesn't want to get too into it, but she says back in 1996, Drita didn't even want to go to the club with her and Dave. But now her rapping is a gimmick, like being a mob wife, and she is making her money where she can. Bottom line, she wasn't rollin' withe the hip hop scene back in the day, but now it's ok. Apparently the hosts are not Drita fans and are very vocal about it! Karen ends by saying Drita is a "green screen gangster."

Wait so Karen and Drita were still hanging together even after Drita started going out with Lee?! I thought the story was Drita started going out with Lee right after Karen and Lee broke up and then she moved to Arizona. If this is true your telling me she waited 15 years to confront Drita about this WOW that's just ridiculous. Can someone fill me in cause I'm confused.

Love Karen, and I'm loving the fact that she looks really happy. I loved this interview and think it's so funny how she put Drita on blast once again LOL! See Drita? This is the problem when you lie. The truth always comes back to bite you in the ass. No point in explaining this to you though because you're already in your late 30's and STILL don't get it. Great interview! Thanks for posting it :)

Karen you are such a Drita Hater Get over yourself. She is not knocking your money making off your Ass Book. You should step off her shit. Get a Life worry about yourself. I'm so sick of you. I was starting to like you after you made a truce with Drita trying to be respectable, but now your just hating again.

Oh boy, so much for that truce, lol ! Its already a war on Drita's twitter! Just in time for the girls to get ready to film the next season, lol. I was really hoping for the peace to last so we can get through a season without too much violence, lies, and fist fighting. O well. Karen looks great !!

Karen has come cleaned and explained she cheated on Lee. Their relationship was a rocky one. I believe 98 or 99 was the year of her and Lee's final break up. Drita and Karen did not hang out after her move to Arizona.

Karen does have a life. She was asked a question. She answered honestly from her experience. She is on a hit show. She has had an issue with another cast mate. The interviewers are going to ask her questions. She doesn't have to answer positively if it's not her experience with the individual.

Drita is in her mid-thirties & has ALWAYS loved rap music!

Anon above about Drita and hip - hip- How would you know, unless you know her that well? I noticed that she did not start raving about it on twitter until it was put out there about the nasty racist remark she made about Karen!! Since then, every rapper or hip hop mogul is her # 1 favorite of all time! Not trying to argue, just sayin...She was a no one before the show, and season 1 she never expressed interest in hip hop or rapping..It just comes off as not real and "acting" is all Im saying. My favorite is when she praised Nikki Minaj , told her how much she and her daughter loved her, then gets on stage with Lil Kim, and bang there is a war of words on who is the better rapper and now worships Lil Kim and no more Nikki. Strange. Anyway, hope Karen and Drita can hold it down for next season. Too draining with all the fighting and he said she said. Either knock each other out, or leave each other alone lol.

So I confused her age by a couple of years. She looks like she's in her late 30's... oh well. I suppose it's ok for someone in their mid 30's to lie as opposed to someone in their late 30's... lol. As for Karen, I'd say she's got the whole "get a life" thing down pretty well. She is a New York Times best seller author, has a spa in NY, has helped create a skin care line, and is venturing on a movie deal. You're right, she needs to stop focusing on Drita's amazing life and start working on something for herself... yes, that's sarcasm you note, and I'll also go ahead and end it with a BIG EYE ROLL.I guess I'll just never get Drita's fans.

look all the mobwives are cashing in as anyone would...dritas rap, karens book, ramonas now apparently gangster, its all the same and its understandable they want to provide for there families so they make money where they can.
Dritas loves hip hop so who cares if she does a verse or not......really! She is just making the money. i think karen needs to understand she is not gangster anymore i like karen when she is not being influenced by ramona
