Mob Wives: Mob Daughter & Love

Author Karen Gravano poses with long time friend Love Majewski!
I Married A Mobster & Deadly Sins' Love Majewski is no stranger to the lifestyle.  She is also no stranger to Karen Gravano.  Love & Karen were childhood friends.  They shared clothes, big hair and memories through their teenage years.  So I was delighted when Love Majewski tweeted some pictures of Mob Daughter's author at her most recent book signing.  One has to love some Barnes & Noble.  Well actually you don't have to.  I do.

I feel for her hands.  I wonder if Salvatore 'Sammy the Bull' Gravano's baby girl gets writer's cramp.  One thing I can write about some of the Mob Wives is they seem to have some loyal friends.

In e-mail I asked Love to explain her take on Karen's success.  She wrote the following:

"The Staten Island Barnes & Noble Mob Daughter book signing was a success for Karen!  Several hundred books sold & signed it would appear that S.I. has  welcomed her home with open arms & wallets!  I was so happy for my friend.  I cannot express what it feels like, I've always loved & believed in Karen.  She's now doing what I knew she could!"

Renee has Nikki!  Drita has Carla!  Carla has her hair.  Bigg Ang has Louis!  Karen has Ramona onscreen & offscreen plus she has Love Majewski in her corner.  One can't go wrong when they have true friends.  We are wishing Karen Gravano continued success in all her future legitimate endeavors.  Miss Gravano has made The New York Best Seller's List for the second week in the row.  Congratulations Karen!

I hope Love Majewski's French Bulldog Winston is recovering from his unfortunate accident.  He had a fight with a bush.  The bush won.

Off topic: Where the hell is Joshy?  I think Crystal may have the boy in some sort of love trance.

Well, it does not matter either way. People can hate. There are always three sides to a story, hers, their and the truth. The NYT best seller list does not lie so I believe it sold well.

Great news for Karen! Congratulations and continued success to her. She has another book signing tonight in NJ if anyone to go, in Northvale.

4 people other than Karen in the photo. Of those 4, 1 is a cameraman and 2 are bodyguards. Lol.

@ the underboss

first week bestsellers on nyt count sales from stores buying books and doesnt count books that are returned. the second week does. if she "sells" well for the second week, i will take back what I said. Until then, she is a 'bestseller' on a technicality.

So I was thinking that I could retort with so many negative responses, but I will not. I appreciate the fact that bookstores buy the book. It makes sense. So I have to say that I am not a writer and have never written a book. She has. She has at least sold one book because I bought it. That already makes her a more successful writer than me. So again I appreciate the education on the retail business.

I also read the silive article because I wanted to see if it stated a number of people. It did not specify because no legitimate reporter would dare say there were was a certain number. Unless that reporter was there with a people counter. It stated several dozen were there to by the book. Again, she sold several more books which really puts me to shame because my grand total is zero. Of course, you can blast me for being biased but I saw what I read and understand the English written word very well. We will have to see what her numbers are the next time the best seller list is updated but to be on the list is still a good thing. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. Have a great day.

The anonymous is one individual. They made their second comment and within seconds made their third. My guess is Karen's success bothers them. Oh well I hope they have a great day too.

That's nonsense, the Times bestsellers list does not include sales to bookstores. Nor would booksellers make returns after only one week, and if they did, that wouldn't influence the figures at all--they measure sales during a specific time period, not aggregate sales. "Bestseller by technicality"? LMAO. Oh-Kay then.

Anon, try to keep up. Mob Daughter's been out since V-Day. It's already hit the bestseller list for the second week. If you're so obsessed you're taking time out of your life to make up bizarre non-facts ("Every book is a bestseller!!!!") then at least try to get the timeframe right so someone might buy what you're selling. It may be a struggle for badasses to read 3 whole pages, but there are plenty of functionally literate book buyers in the US, don't let it ruin your life.
