Mob Wives Chicago: Production Theory, Rumors or Fact?

UPDATE: This is a hoax. It was the work of an individual named Jeff.

Recently an alleged member of Mob Wives Chicago production team reached out to us.  Whenever this happens I get all warm & fuzzy inside because it's usually the good stuff.  An added bonus is they tend to be articulate & refrain from telling us what & how to blog.  They're always smart enough to realize we don't give f*ck what they want.

The informant makes it clear he/she is not a final decision maker.  We are one of three sites he admits to monitoring.  I have a feeling Hollywood Life & Reality Tea are the other two.  The sources goal is either to make us look like complete jackasses, piss off Jennifer Graziano and/or give the Mob Wives Chicago fans & viewers some logical tidbits of information to quiet the social media hysteria running amuk.  We will never truly know.  However, we decided to give you the juice our way.

When you see ... I've omitted information out of respect for certain individuals & the process.  My site, my call and I'm good with it.  If you are not, I suggest you refrain from reading any further.  Everything in orange is the informant's words, not mine.

We were told there were some major obstacles in casting Mob Wives Chicago.  With Mob Wives Jennifer Graziano knew all the players & the dynamics.  She knew who was who on & off paper.  Mob Wives Chicago was a different story.  The informant shares, "With the anchor Mob Wives, we had all the information needed to cast women that were relevant and definitively connected to the "mob". The creator had extensive life knowledge of the people involved and was therefore able to confidently cast those women with an understanding that their stories, connections, and ongoing lifestyles would stand the test of not only the viewers, but perhaps more importantly, the "mob" itself, NOT THE CASE in regards to MWC."

The source also claims there was a direct linkage to "The German" through a family member of one of the Mob Wives of Staten Island.  The other Windy City mob wives were in production's radar by research, inside calls & contacts.  The informant shares, "The problem with that was that the show had already been pitched, accepted, and slated for a season and time slot. This created a scramble to cast the show and begin production."

The informant confirms Nora's claims that she is the one who recommended Pia for the show.  Additional research confirmed Pia's legitimate connections to The Outfit.  Production learned her ties ran much deeper than they believed originally. Pay-dirt!

He/she believes production's 1st misstep was the casting of Christina Scoleri.  I laugh learning this & think, 'Tell me something I don't know.'  He/she states Christina didn't have a job & could meet time requirements.  Christina's father could only be confirmed of having a criminal record. The source continued, "... it was evident that he was a petty thief. This guy may have grown up around and had conversations with "mobsters" but he was not connected to the "mob" by any stretch of the imagination. She claimed that he was a thief and a fence for the "mob". ANYONE who knows anything about the "mob" can easily tell you that the "mob" needs no fence. If they want electronics they don't ask a small time crook to break into cars or homes as his record reflects. The "mob" will roll the whole G*d damned store or better yet, hijack the ship the goods are sailing in on! Needless to say, Christina Scoleri perpetrated a fraudulent story and is not connected with the "mob" by any means whatsoever.  She was actually the last one of two to even be offered a contract as we saw this train wreck coming long before it happened. Our original intention was to only allow her on the show part time, as a supporting cast member. What changed that was Christina's desperation to remain on the show and increase her role, and with it, her paychecks. She was willing to do anything..... regardless of friendship or how it would look for her public image.  Anyone who wonders what I'm talking about with this, just remember how no one could make any sense out of her antagonizing Pia and Nora in the pilot episode nonetheless physically fighting with Pia. She would do anything the production team asked her to do. She had no morals, no loyalty, and no concern for her image. While she served our intended purpose for the season, it is the unanimous view of all involved that she is of no use moving forward. She has no story, she has no connections, she had no job coming into MWC and rest assured she no longer has a job with us either. I mean seriously, the franchise is called MOB WIVES and that denotes an affiliation to the "mob", either directly or through their saturation in the lifestyle. Christina Scoleri has neither."  One has to love the loyalty aspect of people. Go Mob Wives Chicago!  Let's all say ouch together.  Here we go all together 1-2-3:

OUCH!

Christina recommended Leah in order to have a friend to defend her & someone in her corner. "Leah was cast after heavy lobbying by Christina.  Her father, Wolf was a pleasure to work with (as was her lovely mother).... What made a strong case for Leah were her characteristics. We knew that a strong faction of viewers would fall in love with her and we were correct in that assumption. Unfortunately, not enough people tuned in each week for Leah to develop into quite what we expected her to. We like Leah. Everybody wants her to stick around. We are trying to figure out in what capacity...
Renee Fecarotta with Jennifer Graziano

Renee was cast based on her family ties through her uncle for the most part. We dismiss previous claims from a relative that her connection to her uncle is bogus. Believe me we do our research. Any claims that Renee had nothing to do with her uncle are born of personal resentment and do not reflect reality. She also has other "mob" connections, some of which were explored during filming, such as her ex.  Renee has tested well and we have very strong positive feedback on her which gives us many reasons to want to continue working with her. More on that later.

Okay it's later:" Wow this individual has a sense of humor too! The source goes on to tell us Mob Wives Chicago will not be having a reunion, which everyone including Leah's hair knew.  He/she goes on to explain, "... we do not need to rehash much of the failed.... relationships that have caused this show to be more of a hindrance than a path to success for the franchise. This show is NOT done, but this cast as you know it is toast. Christina is axed, bottom line. She has no story and has been an embarrassment on social media. Leah is likely to be a part of a season 2 or other avenues we will explore. Specifically, these avenues will be travelled by Renee and Pia. Aside from Season 2 of MWC, we have options with Renee in regards to Eye Candy (the people love it). We can make a show based entirely on her connections, Eye Candy, and her family life. Viewers loved Renee and we will continue to capitalize on her success."  The source made it clear it's his/her opinion about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow in regards to Ms. Fecarotta.

Sidebar: I have to share I think Renee Fecarotta is a great find for reality television.  She's not my cup of tea per her judgmental ways and attack mode switch on camera & online.  Online she attacked Big T telling him never to contact her daughter again.  He denied ever contacting Giana.  Giana asked her mother to stop.  She did finally!  Weeks later,  Renee attempted to correct Underboss over his parody.  Yes she's a genius.  Then eventually Renee & Giana went full on Twitter attack when we posted about the saint of all saints Octtavio Volpe.  What can I type?  The apple don't fall far from the tree.

The source continues, "Nora is finished. While she was amazing in terms of being completely volatile and provided plenty of comedic relief, she was a terror to work with. Constant whining, endless issues, and a healthy dose of no one having any idea what she was even thinking half the time have left everyone (well almost everyone) with the resolve to end her story and with it, her tenure on MWC. This is where many of you get the notion that the show has been tied up, because we provided an epilogue for Nora's plot-line. Notice however, we really only tied up Nora herself. She's gone, at least in any major capacity moving forward." O-M-G no Nora, how in the hell are we going to do The Battle of the Eyes Two?!

Back to why you're reading, "Pia on the other hand has actually exceeded our expectations. Our viewers loved her. We expected her to be a hit among males, but in actuality Pia tests strongest among females. People look up to her. This is in part due to her story on the show, but more so due to 2 other factors: her accomplishments career wise while the show was airing and after, as well as her being the only star to remain positive on social media. She ignores vulgar displays and talk on Twitter when under attack from Nora and Christina. You know who else was great at that? Drita D'Avanzo and Karen Gravano. "  Now I don't know how long this individual has been on Twitter.  We all know DriZILLA has lied time & time again about us being Ramona & Karen or Karen & Ramona running our site.  And Karen has gone HAM a time or two on Twitter.  I admit neither of them took it to the beyond bitter & dumb levels that Christina did.  So kudos to Drita for now being my second to the least favorite mob wife.  She's moving on up!  The source goes on to share their opinion that image is everything.  They also share we may be seeing a friend of a cast member become a mob wife in the future.  The woman tested very well and her mob ties are indisputable.  They also share we may or may not get to see more of Giana Volpe.  Oh boy I just can't wait! [insert eye roll]
News Flash: Your father plead guilty. It's public record. Thank you!

The source finally wraps it up with the following, "I hope this insight can be of use and relief to at least some fans of MWC and Mob Wives franchise. We understand the need for a better time slot and a better season period aside from summer. This is not by any means an easy issue to resolve. We do take into consideration the competition that this show was up against in season one and will look to slate it better upon its continuation. I mean seriously, the Olympics, Big Brother, BET Awards, Yankees-Red Sox games, and other award shows made it extremely difficult to find our viewer base. Just trust that we know what we’re doing here. We’re pretty good at producing great shows around here. We all know we fell short with season 1 of MWC, but we WILL get it right. Trust."

I don't trust anyone besides Chiara & Underboss.  I don't know this individual from a roach on a food truck.  Hell do I think this is real? Yes.  Would I bet my last $5 bucks on it? No.  I will share the individual is quite astute with great organizational skills when writing.  They suggested we take this information with a grain of salt.  I decided to eat a donut & fart instead.  Let's all hope this information is legitimate and there will be a season 2 of Mob Wives Chicago.  I did try to reach Jennifer Graziano for comment twice.  Neither time did I have a chance to question her about this information.  However, that broad don't be giving up nothing anyways!  *shrugs* She is a busy lady, oh well.

Unngghh!!!!! This is the best blog i read on this show yet!!! Give the viewers what we wanted since episode 3 anyway- Pia solo spinoff or A season 2 with just Leah, Pia, & Renee!!!!! Ur source is obviouslysomeone who knoes what's up. It just like they said, yeah Renee did well on tv but Pia is real and the whole world loves her that's why they are talking about basing the whole future off the show around Pia. That b*tch is gonna be filthy rich for real!!! I'm jealous!!! They talking like Pia about to get her Karen Gravono on!!!!! Team Pia team leah!!!

Jen said...

So if i read that right it's either Season 2 without Christina & Nora or basically a Pia show by herself? Maybe some Renee? I like Christina can't stand Nora but either way I'll be down with a show about Pia. Renee is ratchet though.

Neandra W said...

I knew Pia would be the only one who made it. Glad Leah and Renee will be coming along for the ride too. Your source is right on too Christina was a embarrassing fool on twitter. I know what they meant about karen and drita too. Yeah you're right they both talked their share of junk but they didn't tweet about it every day all day. That's all Christina talked about. She is obsessed with pia. Who cares if she strips she's smart and pretty and doing big things with her opportunities. While Pia is building a career and staying positive on twitter all Christina does is envy Pia. I like Christina but that is really unattractive and is the reason she is being fired from the show. I hope she does something good in her life but i guess the world won't never know one way or another cuz her 15 second of fame is over and done with. Can't wait for season two with pia and Leah. Love leahs hair btw

Thanks for the 411 - Lots to process - Lots of well it's about time someone official or unofficial said something that half of us already suspected, or that was blatently obvious. I guess in the words of Leah DeSimone we will all just have to. . . "Stay tuned!" :).

Mob Mistress I loved the way you handled the information that was provided to us. This individual went through great lengths to answer many viewer and reader questions, not to mention all of mine! I appreciate how forthcoming they were and I have one thing to add...Christina is leaving? How bout that?

There is a reason that mobwives.blogspot has nearly 2.5 MILLION hits. This information obviously came from an insider that recognizes this site blogs facts.... well also 2 cents for kicks & giggles. This was one of the most interesting blogs I've read. I can only hope that any future "Members" of a MobWives production will carefully read through the blogs here so as to learn what to DO & what NOT to do. Social media plays a big part in Reality TV shows. So remember ladies & gents whatever bed you lie in.. you made it. Be Smart

P.S. My favorite rumors are about Pia and Leah! Can we pick'em or what? Thank you to the anonymous who took great pains to bring us all the truth (It has the ring of truth to me anyway.) We hope you enjoy the fruit of your labor!

If indeed VH1 really did do their research then they would have not had to look very far to see that even though " Leah's father was a pleasure to work with" he is not connected to the mob and has never been an associate. And just because you grew up on Taylor street that does not make a Chicagoan' a "Mob Associate" if a person meets the president and shakes his hand, this does not make him/her an associate of the president. If VH1 really wants to know the truth and have done research. or are doing research, then look in all of the new, and old records. News paper, public records, ect. Just like the reporter from the Huffington Post reported, " There was no record of any Mob Ties with Leahs father, and not any thing worth reporting on Christina's father. Straight from a news paper reporter. And that's a fact! Google it. And most importantly, the resident's of Chicago's Bridgeport, and Taylor street know the fact's. He is a retired painter, and a bus driver. It should not be okay for one cast member to fabricate a story, and another to saturate her story (Leah and Christina). Just tell the truth. VH1 really needs to investigate these two before they waste any more production money, or time.

I always wondered what was up with Christina, Nora, I had a feeling that was going to happen, Leah, Pia & Renne made sense, they were the ones with a story, Thanks for confirming what I thought all along, this season did seem to wrap up quickly!! Then again, I would to if I had, hard to work with cast members. I can't wt. for Mobwives to start again, & what they do for Chi-town? I bet will be surprised!!

Anonymous said...

I'd like to know which "reporter from the Huffington Post" anonymous is saying did their research. The majority of pieces on The Huffington Post are blogs, written by bloggers. Huffington Post just presents their content in a shinier package than most sites which leads Huffington Post's readers to believe that if its posted, its true.

This is YOUR BEST BLOG ENTRY SO FAR!!

And I love them all!

Not only do I believe this information is true and correct, I've said the same thing -- the strongest cast members are Renee, Leah and Pia. They are winners!

Nora, can GO! First of all, she is borderline-psychotic anyway. And if I had to watch her promote that SWILL of a wine, named after her killer Daddy, I will puke!

Christina, although I think she is lovely, should be out the door too. She always seemed as if she was making up her character as she went along.

Renee, Leah and Pia are the STRONGEST members of the cast. Pair them next season with some hardcore GANGSTA Chicago Mob wives (think Ramona Rizzo-types) then you've got a show that will outperform and outshine it's fabulous predecessor.

GREAT BLOG! Keep it up!! I love it!!

Chiara Soprano said...

Susanna I found a lot of what I was thinking and writing about was verified by this information. That's what makes it appear to be very credible.

Kel said...

Lol no more Christina or Nora?... Oh noooo! How ever will I live?! Lmao!! I could not be happier about these news. Nora is a total psycho who needs some serious mental help and well Christina is just pathetic and embarrasing. She's so ignorant. I hope she learns from this and grows from it so she can change for the better. As for Pia, Leah, and Renee continuing on the show? That's great. I love Pia, I'm so happy for her, Leah is really great too, and Renee gives us the love/hate roller coaster ride we need on these types of shows. Word to the wise Renee, do some cleaning up while you still can. Learn to appreciate the blogg sites that make you and your show relevant so you can continue to have a job. You've burnt bridges with people that defended you long before this show even started. Be smart and less emotional. I still hope the show succeeds. On another note, I love Jen-- she promised us a finally that was on fire and I don't think that was delivered; however, in her defense, I do believe Nora might have misled her a lot with all her crazy conspiracy theories. All I have to say is this: Jen, you're a smart business woman. I'm sure in your gutt you knew this whole crew was not the right one. Next time, go with your instinct. We still support you and your vision!! Go get busy picking your Miami Mobwives :)

Chiara Soprano said...

Loved your comments Kel. In fairness to Jenn regarding the finale, the editing that took place to "wrap" things up, might have quelled the "fire."

Anonymous said...

Wow...14 whole comments? Yes, your little blog is so relevant...NOT! This source of yours, obviously missed the big twitter battle a little over a week ago with Renee and Leah, then didn't they? I think you think your opinion is a lot more important than it is. Do YOU have mob ties? What would you know about it anyway?
So lets see, Christina has no mob ties and was a bad girl on twitter. Leah has no mob ties and was a bad girl on twitter. What is different? I think your "source" is full of it.

Very interesting! I will be thrilled if Chris and Nora never come back! I can handle Renee. I love Pia and Leah!! On a side note: Is Carla Facciolo NOT returning? She is the only one who never talks about the show on her twitter, no pics, nothing! That would be great because she is a total waste. I would love for someone else to not be on but she brings the fighting and drama. Darn! Sorry to ask but I had to !

Chiara Soprano said...

We haven't heard a word about Mob Wives Season 3 and so as far as we know, it will be the same cast and possibly new wives may be added.

Anonymous said...

Thanks Chiara for answering! I saw Renee put pics from filming up of her , Karen, Ramona, and BiggAng all together, tweeted about Drita not being there. Have not seen anything from Miss Facciollo and she never mentions filming. Just made me wonder! I love this blog about MWC- great source!! Seems believable to me and makes sense! Have a great weekend :)

SNAP, CRACKLE AND POP!!!!
I think this is one of the best posts written, MM. There are various sources that questioned how "connected" Leah and Christina were. Anyone can google their name.
Granted, even though Leah may not be "connected", that does not change my opinion about her at all, she's a sweet woman. Christina? Holy hell...she NEVER shuts up about the blog...and her fans are crazier for trying to have an e-vendetta against Chiara. If they hate it SO much, why keep lurking and talking about it to Christina on Twitter?

Interesting post. I find some of the insider's perspective credible but inconsistent. If rapport with others on social media was really a concern, Renee would get the boot too. She's awful on twitter and I didn't find her appealing on the show. I have zero interest in her eyewear business. It was only amusing that someone who had so much time to start shit could actually be part of a legit business.

I know I may be in the minority but I have no interest in watching Pia turn her life around as a main storyline. I liked her personality, I think it's great that she's truly taken advantage of the show but I would not want to watch photo shoots and casting calls every week. Maybe she can relocate to NYC and be a "friend" of the Mob Wives like they have "friends" of the housewives on Bravo that are not full-fledged cast members.

The only cast member I'd really miss would be Leah. Family connections aside, she's engaging, entertaining and was the only person I enjoyed seeing each week. It would be terrible not to find a proper vehicle for her.

Hey you said...

This is some interesting information, Great blog.

To The SPOKESPERSON..For THE RESIDENTS of CHICAGO'S BRIDGEPORT & TAYLOR ST!! I'm a life resident of Bridgeport... how dare you speak for all of us! We could care less if Leah has any "CONNECTIONS" to the "OUTFIT"...as we say it here in "BRIDGEPORT". I have never once heard LEAH..or read..anything that LEAH said..about her "FATHER"...having been in "THE OUTFIT"!! Rumor has it...that it's all you haters..putting that out there!! READ...The Blog...LEAH DESIMONE...was DISCOVERED...by The PRODUCTION TEAM...Thanks to Christina...who was LOBBYING for her. You go LEAH..us RESIDENTS from BRIDGEPORT got your back.. How bout that!!

I KNEW IT! Since day one I had Christina as a flip flopping faker who just wanted to be relevant on the show. I like to think I am a good judge of character and know BS when I see it coming. I have to say I feel like I was 110% right bout her and that makes me feel good cause it confirms that.. I aint no sucker. Adios puta! lol ok

Pia show yes please!

Nora was an obvious mess good riddance if this is true.

Leah I like her allot she is fun and interesting. But if I have to deal with Christina to deal with Leah I'll pass.

Renee and Giana....Blah..

Thanks for the info.

Why must you bash Drita so hard. I honestly thougth this was a KAren and Romona ran blog for a while too. Was it lying or misperception? I think Misperception might be more like it & I can't say as I blame her as I thought the same thing for a while.

Mob Mistress said...

I'm not a fan of Drita's. I share my opinion. It's that simple. She interviewed with Chiara and started spreading the lies after she got into a tizzy of one of my posts. She knew damn well we weren't Karen & Ramona. Thanks for reading!

"Friend of a cast member" is totally Chrisy Martino. The woman has a legit connection to the mob, but lacks the same social media graces as Renee. Ditch Renee unless you want to see a whole season about Renee fighting with all the cast members. Add in Chrisy's nonsense (should she be allowed to film this time...) and you'll have a show full of loud-mouthed women violently defending their paranoid thoughts. Side-note: Chrisy was asked to film for the first season but couldn't commit to being a cast member. That's when they brought on Leah as a full-time cast member (explaining the Twitter insults Renee was sending to Leah about being a replacement or whatever.) Chrisy got a taste of "fame" (LOL, RIGHT) and now wants to join in on the fun. I guess posting a minor's name and address or bitching at people for Renee on Twitter isn't doing it anymore. Stay classy, Chrisy.

I'm confused. Just seen Christina's tweets...saying her hometown is Berwyn/27th & Oak Park. I thought she said she was from Taylor St! Is this another Fraudulent Story!

Chiara Soprano said...

To the last Anonymous, Christina did indeed boast she was from Taylor Street from the beginning of the season. I guess maybe she says whatever is convenient at the time. I heard/saw she did a photo shoot. She posted a couple of pictures and they look "fake" too. At least she is consistent at being unreal.

She is NOT the friend of cast member the informant was referencing.

Is the friend of a cast member Toni? She was Pia's friend, and I loved the episode she was on!! I thought she would be great for the show- real deal, and old-school!! What was great about her, was not just her closeness to Pia, but Pia's dad was the reason her family was in trouble and she loves Pia and took her under her wing it appears! I hope she gets on the show!

For those of you who do not know anything about Chicago, almost every Italian was from Taylor Street. Most all have moved to the suburbs since the University came in.
Just about every Italian in a suburb is from Taylor Street, so because they don't live there now, doesn't mean anything. If you are from Taylor Street, you are from Taylor street, that is where you were born. Leah is one of very few who still live there.
The friend of Pia you are referring to is named Franky, not Toni.

Just wondering if Christina went to the same Plastic Surgeon Renee been using. No way did she lose all this weight from the last filming. Let alone her pictures make her face look like plastic. She looks like a different person. What a person won't do for attention...so sad for her.Let alone so young.Hope she find happiness with her new look.

The Anonymous above, I also thought to myself that she looked different, especially her face, and maybe she had botox or filler injections. She attributes the weight loss to protein drinks.

OK, they probably knew that fans would compare the show to MOB WIVES NY at once. Our 'click' has had weekly MOB WIVES and BIG ANG parties every week, everybody loves the shows. Now 'Chicago' comes along, honestly a lot of our group didn't like the show at first, but because EVERYONE instantly fell in love with LEAH, we continued to watch. Over time, we all warmed up to the show & its characters, finally by season's end we ALL were fans. It's too bad that VH1 didn't give it more time with a season 2 (and a better time slot)the 'flaws' could have been corrected. Finally, LEAH is a treasure, she is 'so Italian', like Big Ang, Leah is the breakout star of Chicago. WE ALL hope somehow she will turn up on BIG ANG or MOB WIVES NY.
